A/N:

This isn't an All27. Though I might introduce some if the plot allows. It's more of Arco27. Don't get disappointed, okay.

And I'm updating now cause I might not be able to update this weekend. Forgive me.

And Thanks for all the reviews.

@tasyadewi16: I wanted a change of pace so I made Nezu-sensei a good man here.

Chapter Three

Tsuna skipped towards the dining room and entered with a hum. He went for the counter, took a food in the buffet, then went to his usual seat. While he ate his food, all of the human in the room looked at him with terrified eyes. If Saint Academy trembles when Kyouya Hibari smirks, the school collapses when Tsunayoshi Sawada hums merrily. It only means one thing...

He's up for something worth for the disciplinary office again.

They eyed the brunet warily as he ate and stood up after. He was still humming when he went out, even waving at them as he skipped away like a child granted with something out of this world trip. If only they knew how right they were.

The young man was one of the few individuals who arrived first in the tower of blood under Nezu's class. He was a little agitated since he has the essay papers he promised with Reborn. Tsuna will never break a word if he can help it. Regardless of how nice or painful it is. It is one of the reasons why he's here anyway.

"Woah. You're rather excited on this trip." Hana commented when she arrived and saw him standing in front of the portal.

"I'm not the one who wants to meet her contractor's family." Tsuna pointed out and earned a slap on the arm.

"Don't rub it on my face. She invited me, I agreed."

"I didn't say anything like that." Tsuna defended with a grin.

"Hmp." Then the lady looked at the papers he had in his hands. "What's that?"

"Some reading I wanted to finish. I'm not looking for any contracts so I rather waste my time reading something than sleep all day. Don't want to see myself get fat out of too much sleep."

"And that came from someone who loves to sleep."

"Hey. It's my life dream to sleep for twenty-four hours."

"Yeah yeah."

The two went for subject topics as they wait for others. It was already mid-morning when Nezu came in. He stared at Tsuna for seconds, obviously surprised with the latter's appearance for the trip. After that, the teacher went on with the rules and gave the instructions there instead of doing it in Fiant like that last time before he told them to go. The brown haired lad went in first.

Taking a deep breathe as he stepped at Fiant, Tsuna reminisced the first time he was here. He wished he would have the same normalcy he experienced, but the little throb of his head says otherwise. He knew he'll encounter trouble one way or another. It's his everyday get-go, he can't sleep without having one.

Waving a hand to his only friend Hana, Tsuna went to his way towards the lake Reborn led him too from the last time. He can remember vaguely, but he'd like to wander off a little to explore the surrounding forest in their camp. Fiant is big world, much like the mundane one.

After a few minutes of looking around, he saw the reflecting waters. Just like the first time, he became fascinated with the beauty of the lake and its setting. Every flower is in full bloom. He can see exotic flowers swaying with the gentle breeze. And he loves it.

He plumbed down the grass, the papers in his lap and sighed. If he wasn't hell bent on going home, he'd like to build one here and make this place his little escapade to reality other than some good books. He might be a philosopher, but he is not new to good novels either. There are somethings that novels can give knowledge to one reader. The power of words can never be taken for granted.

Tsuna jumped on his skin when he heard some rustling. He cautiously eyed his environment, not even relaxing on one sec. He's in an unknown place, with unknown inhabitants. It was only advisable to be wary of his environment. Just when he was about to look at the lake again with an ear out, he jumped to his feet to look at the owner of the footsteps he can hear. He glared at the new arrival, Reborn in his all black glory.

But he has this inking feeling that... Something is different. He only knew the demon for a day. But one observer cannot forget a single encounter. He knew what to expect on Reborn. And the creature in front him seems... Off in many ways.

"Reborn." He greeted, in spite of the growing pits in his stomach and ache in his head.

"Hey." Tsuna's brow furrowed a little more. Reborn isn't a demon who will greet someone that way. "How are you doing?" The creature approached.

Tsuna gave a fake smile as he raised his hands to his sides, not even glancing at the papers in front of him. "Just enjoying the view."

"It is a good view." The demon nodded.

Tsuna started to enthusiastically back away, made a small spin and smiled at the shifter. "I know. I did discover it after all."

"Yes you did. You even showed me the way."

Bingo. Tsuna murmured small apologized to the demons in the lake as he let himself back a way. "Did you know that some demons can't stand the water?"

The creature stared at him in question.

"Ah. Yes." Tsuna corrected himself. "Of course you know. You are one of them, after all. Or should I say, you are afraid of the water, Imitator."

Reborn wavered a bit before he became a black mist of level five demon. It cackled maliciously. "Huh. Smart kid."

"Yeah. I get that a lot." He agreed before he eyed the vengeful spirit in front of him.

Imitator, or also known as chameleon. This certain demon can change to anything and anyone he wants as long as it saw them. It is usually a sun despite its misty appearance. It's not very malevolent, except when hungry. And obviously, the one in front of him is one hungry chameleon. According to the books, it can only be scared away by cutting off its tail. Of how the author get that information, he doesn't know.

Tsuna looked at the fishes surrounding him. One way or another, he needs to get out of the water so the demon fishes won't get bad ideas. He did apologize though, but that doesn't mean he is very welcome to trespass in their territory. He discretely eyed the papers he had to give to Reborn. He doesn't want that to get wet.

"You can't stay there forever, Human." The Imitator taunted with a cackle.

"I know. You don't have to rub it on my face." Tsuna glared as he inched forward.

"Ah. I apologize then."

"No use getting on my good side." The brunet went out of the water with with pants. Just why didn't he wrote some binding seals? He could've used that as a shield for himself.

Before he can even comprehend what to do, he dived to his right as the imitator went for him. Tsuna went for a run. He cannot take on an enemy without proper precautions. He'll die before he can even utter a single word for an incantation. For a human, he didn't expect to have a demon suitor (slash killer) following him. How cliche. Not.

Anticipating an attack, he slid under a tree arch to dodge a blade limb (the level three he exorcised? Really?), got a good grip on the arch and let himself be carried by the momentum. As a result, he lift himself from the ground, shot up for a one-eighty spin and kicked the imitator who took up a snake like figure. He flew a meters away, and Tsuna took that opportunity to get a head of run.

"Human!"

Tsuna cringed before letting himself walk towards the safety of the camp. All of his fellow humans there looked at his ragged appearance, but he couldn't give a care. He is worried about the papers he needed to give to Reborn. He wants to see the demon's expression or hear his opinion in regards of his essay. But that imitator just have to attack him.

Letting out a frustrated sigh, Tsuna stood in front of the barrier, waiting for a chance to get in the lake again. The prickling feeling still didn't settled. It's like something bad will going to happen. He doesn't like that.

"Sawada?" Tsuna looked at Nezu-sensei. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. An imitator attacked me. Might be hungry." He replied.

"A relief that you're still alive."

"Yeah."

"You're still unsettled." Tsuna winced at the indication. "Is something bothering you?"

"Just have this pit in my stomach. I just think we need to get away from here." The brunet's eyes widened at what he said. "That's it! We're going to be attacked."

"Sawada-"

The teen faced him and shook his head. "No, Sensei. Believe me when I say that we need to go."

The teacher winged for it. The young man looked around as one of the staffs gave a return signal for the students who are out of the camp. Just before he was about to run too, a lady with a lower half of a lizard appeared from the forest. She wad hissing like a reptile. Tsuna knew that this demon is a level six. Call it guts, but he knew they can't take this demon without the professionals.

Slowly, he backs away. He looked around to see his fellow humans are running to the portal and only a few staffs remained for the sake of the ones who haven't arrived. He too is waiting. Waiting for Hana to come since the lady is still in her trip. He can care less for the others, but he will never live his friend behind. But demons appearing from every side of the forest makes him uneasy. Especially the lady lizard in front of him.

"This barrier looks strong." The demon commented. Tsuna didn't answer. "I wonder how will it last if we blast it off."

"You won't get in." One of the staffs hissed.

The lady looked at the man and raised an amused eyebrow. "Really? This number of us can't?"

"You're rather hungry." Nezu-sensei pointed out. "But you won't get any from us with this number of ours."

A scratchy laugh pierced Tsuna's ears. "We don't care about the souls. We just need to rip you apart."

"Humans running around our turf, wanting to get some contract. Fool! We aren't that stupid to get a bind with you low lives." A demon ranted.

"Said by someone who was abandoned by God." Tsuna glared at the lady staff who said that. She cowered in fear.

"If I may," Tsuna said with respect, making all demons look at him. "if I read right, contracts are two ways. We state our desires, you place yours. If one cannot attain the desire of the other party, a contract cannot be made."

"So?" The lady lizard uttered.

"So, you have every right to decline offers. And as level four to level seven demons, you can ask for a test of strength or power to your assuming summoner."

Silence ate the noises.

"It is stated in the equal law of Demons and humans." Tsuna added on.

"There is no equality with you, humans." One centaur grumbled angrily.

Tsuna shrugged. "Then it won't be a question if you kill the entirety of our population. You are neglected with your rights after all."

Tsuna looked at his left to see Hana running with her level five demon, a cat lady with a name Kyoko. Tsuna took out his pen and took a leaf from his foot. He started to draw a dekagram on it with the word 'bind' inside it. He took off before any demons can even think about it. He heard the teachers shout his name, but he cannot risk it. He went out of the barrier and winged towards the two, only to stop when he saw right through them.

Hana will never pull her summon with her.

"You can't just let it go, can you? Imitator?" Tsuna spat.

Hana wavered and became a imitator. "And it worked."

Tsuna smirked tentatively. "Well, catch me if you can."

Most of the demons ran after him. He heard his fellow humans shout his name in panic, but he continued his escape. He can't help himself going for a small hero act for the sake of Hana. It was always for the weak.

Humans are fragile. Regardless of how egoistic they are, arrogant and cruel, there are still some who aren't that bad. Like his family. And after reading so many books in his life, Tsuna put it to himself to always forgive them for their sakes, love them for themselves, be angry for them, and save their asses for their sakes.

He swatted many low branches, jumped over roots to avoid tripping and ducked under thick branches while avoiding attacks on him. He even had to avoid one semi who interjected his path. It was Cheetah with fins. He went for the clearing he visited in his first time in Fiant. He faced them as they swarmed after him. He backed away slowly, panting hard after his little sprint. He has scratches all over due some branches, leaves sticking on him too and his shirt is torn on some places.

The higher ups will really kill him if he survives this.

"Now now, Little human." One mocking demon tried to coo. "Come here. Let's have a little fun."

"Don't scare him, Seir." The lizard lady admonished jokingly before giving Tsuna a vicious smile.

"Hmm. I want my play with him first." One Chimera pouted.

"I'm a human, you know." Tsuna muttered under his breathe.

"We don't give a fuck." Some of them answered.

Tsuna raised his hand above his head which is holding the little leaf. "Under the shining rays-"

"That one won't stop us, sweety."

"-of the light who met the darkness."

"W-Wait! Why is his hand over his head."

Tsuna smirked at them. "You who harm." And before one of them can even get to him, he uttered the next sentence. "I constrain you."

Tsuna stared at them, smug as he let go of the leaf that provided him a shield from them. The demons roared in anger, making him flinch. He can't help himself getting anxiety over their rage, not that he will let them see the emotion in his face. He feels nervous since his fellow summoners might not be back to the barrier before his pursuers get bored of him. And scared because he might just die here without even talking with his mother this month.

Tsuna balled his fists when one semi, a part hawk, tried to scratch his barrier. He didn't try wincing nor showing any fear looking emotions that might make them more motivated. But he did watched their every move, observing them and storing some useful info for future use.

He backed away when an ivory colored man tried to trample down his shield. Tsuna realized he's a semi with elephant like strength, hence the color of his skin. The barrier, thankfully, didn't move. But some got the gist of the elephant and started to smash his shield. The brunet schooled his expression, but how his hand shook in fear can't be stopped. He tried to open them and took a discrete breathing exercise to calm himself.

And he is failing miserably.

He jumped when sonic sound entered his ears. He covered them and cringed when he felt liquids ran down from them. His head felt heavy with the pressure of the sound waves, and his teeth clashed together to fight it off. He groaned in pain as he keeled on one knee.

"A wimp! This human is a wimp!" One he heard taunt him despite the disturbance in the air.

"Ah! But he's not broken yet! We need to break him!"

"I want to see fear!"

"Oh darling. I can smell his fear from here."

Tsuna screamed as the sonic doubled its intensity. He has tears streaming down to his cheeks. He let his hand touch the barrier just as four demons tried to smash it out of strength. They reeled back and with one last scratch, the shield broke like a glass.

To their dismay, the brunet only stared at the descending leaf. Indifferent. Calm. Undisturbed by the impeding death he is facing. He hasn't broken. He is struggling not to give in, working his brain to find a way to get himself out of this pinch he's in.

Just as the semi-hawk descend on the young man, they heard a piercing shot and the screech of the bird. Tsuna watched as bird fell, shrieking at the big hole in his wing. His eyes drifted anyway until it landed on the one black clad man with his hat, body facing the side, head tilted upwards and gun facing upward, muzzle smoking after the shot he just pulled. It was Reborn.

Tsuna, unlike the petrified demons, didn't scram away from the higher. His anxiety slowly went away, assurance of safety rained over him like a drizzle, slowly making him wet and sag at the comfort. He felt like hours passed by when he was holding his fort. And to see every single one of them cower in fear because of one man, made him feel so alive despite the exhaustion that fell on him. Scare him with numbers, they'll kneel on a singularity.

He blinked when he saw someone running behind Reborn. He fell on his other knee when his mind registered the black long hair and familiar scowl of his friend. Hana stopped a few feet from Reborn and glared every semi present before her eyes found his. Tsuna gave his very bright smile to ease her, and it worked really well when the tension in her shoulders went a little away.

"I wondered where were you, Tsunayoshi. You promised to give me the papers." Reborn said as he faced them.

Tsuna sighed shakily. "I-I le-left t-the p-pa-papers by t-the l-lake. A-And i-it's Tsu-Tsuna."

"Figures. The fishes told me you didn't want it to get wet. But you still promised to give it to me, Tsuna."

"I-I d-did."

"Personally."

Tsuna winced before closing his eyes as his head killed his senses. "I-I'm so-sorry."

Tsuna heard a gun cocked before he welcomed the darkness. Thinking he can sleep now.

"Sawada!" Hana screamed in horror as the brunet collapsed.

Reborn cocked his gun, making the semi-demons flinch. "You better start running now before I kill you."

Hana didn't have to count one to three when they vanished like rats squeaking to hide. She run with all the power her feet can take her to the stubborn, reckless friend of hers. The same person who was willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of his fellow summoners even though he always expressed how he never liked their race. The same pathetic man who smiled so bright to her whenever he's ragged up just to ease her worries.

Reaching him without tripping out of panic was a good sign. Tsuna looked fine except for the bloody ears and pale complexion. Thank God Reborn came and told them he can hear sonic waves in one part of the forest. If he didn't find Tsuna, she'll throw hell to every single exorcist in the universe. The brunet is that precious.

"I summon thee, Kyoko." Hana said hastily, just as Reborn jogged over. The said contractor of hers appeared beside her.

"What can I do for you, Hana-chan?" Kyoko, a cat lady, asked with a smile.

"Heal him." She ordered.

"Understood." Kyoko answered as she kneeled on the other side of Tsuna and started to heal him with her own sun aura. "He only damaged his ears. He'll suffer mild nausea since he is affected by a sonic sound wave. A little jittery too after this." She assessed.

"Thank you." Hana breathed.

"Is he your brother?" Kyoko asked, still healing the young man.

"I wish." Hana whispered. "He's a friend." She added on louder enough to hear.

"Hmm. Done." Kyoko said. "There's a little more damage inside. But I can't heal it. I'm only level four. I could only do first aid."

"Let's get him to the camp." Reborn suggested.

Hana nodded. "Yeah. Blood tower has a near infirmary. I hope they accept him though."

"Why so?" The demon in black asked as he kneeled beside Tsuna and scooped him out of the ground.

"Other than he is our delinquent, a powerful one. He is also hated for that title." Hana replied, seething. "When he gets into a big fight, he won't go to the infirmary because they shoo him away. He has to lick his own wounds to heal them. If I didn't hear that information from one of those staffs, I wouldn't know."

Reborn nodded as they started move. "Ah."

Hana eyed him, hands intertwined with Kyoko's who want to give support and ease her internal worry. "Why didn't you kill them?"

"I believe that Tsuna will throw a fit if he discovers that I slaughtered them all."

Hana rationalized this. "Yeah. You're right. He's so compassionate sometimes that he can even forgive those who wants to kill him."

Reborn didn't say anything. They continued to the camp, glaring at every semi who comes close to their little circle. Hana gave a small thanks to Reborn after he laid Tsuna on the stretcher. Kyoko smiled and returned to her house like a poof while Reborn lingered a little before going to the forest after he saw Tsuna enter the portal with many people fussing around him. Hana could only clench her fists and sigh.

"I hope this is it, Reckless-Tsuna." She whispered before following Nezu-sensei who fussed around the brunet.
