A/N:

Here's an update, though there might be a lot of mistakes since I haven't proofread it yet. Also thanks for the reviews.

I'm experiencing a huge writer's block since last week. Can't get it off in any ways I can think off. But nah. Don't mind me here. Just saying it since my warning is still up.

Anyway, onwards.

Chapter Fifteen

Gerald lowly whistled a tone he knew as he drove through the highway. He looked at Frecka who is listening to something from his headset and looking out the window. Then his eyes went to their two charge.

Master Tsunayoshi is sleeping on the demon's laps, sporting this peaceful expression he rarely sees on the young man. He always has this expressionless face and tensed shoulders that never eases up not until they go back to the academy. He never get a good night's rest in a week and eat small amount of food that the society serves. Now that he thinks of it, this is his first time seeing Tsunayoshi smile after two years.

The demon in human form is quiet. Silently reading the book he was given by Tsunayoshi, occasionally sipping on his coffee that looks like still hot even though it has been hours since they were at the diner. The demon, he heard was called Reborn, is wearing a black suit with yellow dress shirt and a fedora with an orange band that shadows his eyes. He gives a mysterious aura that only lightens up when he talks to Tsunayoshi.

He really saw everything from his view in the diner. He saw how the two looked so comfortable with each other. Who knew that Tsunayoshi can smile like child and look beautiful when wearing it. He watched as the demon urges the child to eat more, making the brunet add another cup of rice and laugh when his companion tried to take a bite from his food. And the way Tsunayoshi's face was so red as he got up for the bathroom, he looked so flustered and embarrassed about something. And damn, he noticed how the two were holding each other's hands like lifelines.

It's as if they were lovers.

Well it is passable since the brunet is gorgeous and the demon is equally exquisite. He had to admit that when the kid burned off all his contracts last year. To see his eyes looked amber against the sunset lights. The demanding presence he bestowed on him. It was beautiful. He is technically not a masochist, but he can't just be when the kid is doing it.

His thoughts were ceased to run when the brunet opened his eyes. Amber eyes stared at the ceiling before they became brown and looked around. Gerald saw how those cold eyes turned warm at the sight of the demon who put the book on the child's stomach.

"How many hours more?" The demon asked.

"Two." Tsunayoshi answered. "The coffee is still hot?"

"Yeah."

The young man chuckled. "Cheater."

"Oh. You want me to drink cold coffee?" The demon smirked, daring.

The brunet paled slightly before shaking his head. "No! Coffee deprived Reborn is not good."

"Not good? You took advantage of that."

"I did not. You did. You cuddled me for all day. I almost didn't reach the bathroom to pee!"

"And you snuggled."

Red tinted the human's cheeks. "Cheater."

"Oh. You love how I cheat, darling."

The endearment made the other redder before he sat up. "Where's my bag? There are snack bars in there. Frecka loves the mint one."

Frecka, his rejecting partner, sat up and turned his body inwards to face them. "You brought some?"

"I promised, didn't I?"

Gerald watched as the brunet held out three snack bars. That's two things. Tsunayoshi never breaks promises and he never throws things to others. If possible, he hands them down.

"Any for Gerald?" Frecka asked while opening one.

"He liked the strawberry ones right?"

"Yeah."

"Here."

Frecka handed out his hand and gladly received three snack bars. He opened one and gave it to him. "Here."

"I'm here you know." He comically sulked.

"Did you hear something, Frecka?" Tsunayoshi asked as he opened one chocolate and bit a small portion. "Reborn?"

"I'm good."

The brunet's brows furrowed. "Don't make me wrestle it with you."

The hitman sighed before opening his mouth. "Ah."

Gerald almost stepped on the breaks and choked on his food when he watched the young man feed the demon. Frecka smiled widely, idly looking away. The other was obviously enjoying the two's company. Damn. He needs to clarify things.

Like right now.

"Oi Master Tsunayoshi." He called.

Cold feeling ran down his spine. It obviously is from his little charge. "What." That wasn't even a question.

"Is he your summon?" He asked. He knew his charge is a sky now, not a colorless person they dubbed him to be. Still, being colorless never let Tsunayoshi became a push over. He used his delinquent attitude to put off his insulters. He was one of them.

"No."

"Then what's your relationship?"

"We're friends."

Good thing a squirrel came running to cross the road. It was a good excuse when he accidentally stepped on the stop pedal. He excused his action, but didn't miss the protective arm looped around the brunet's waist.

'Friends' his ass.

They're into each other to the point they can't keep their hands to themselves. He mused how it will be awesome to see the two confess to each other once they accept their feelings. Talk about a catastrophic confession.

Reborn looked around the hotel they stopped at. It has ten floors, excluding the rooftop, and lengthwise long. It is full of life with all the lights since it is already evening. It's secluded too, a few meters away from the main road. But it is spacious with some cars, sport cars, parked in front. He can see people passing, not sparing them nor Tsuna any glances.

He looked at his companions. Frecka has Tsuna's hand carry bag while he holds the brunet's hand while being invisible. It's not that the kid is scared or anything. He just found out that he likes holding the other's hand. It's warm and snugs fittingly in his own.

Tsuna tugs him towards the entry of the hotel. He fell in steps, not wanting those humans look at the brunet like he's a freak. The man by the door opened it and they went in, the brunet thanked the man softly with a small smile. Reborn saw how the man brightened up with just a simple word and smile.

"Good Evening, Tsunayoshi!" The man greeted.

"Good Evening, Mister Henry." Tsuna greeted back.

All people in the lobby looked at their way. Frecka is sporting a smile, Reborn noticed, as maids, bellhops and other people serving the hotel, even guards, rushed in to greet Tsuna. And their efforts weren't wasted since they received a nod, a greeting and a small smile in return. All of them brightened up. What Reborn can't understand is how on earth did Tsuna got those names correct?

"Ah. Good Evening, Tsunayoshi." The receptionist, Reborn dubbed as Grizelle since it's on the nametag, greeted with a full beam. "It's so nice to see you again!"

Tsuna smiled. "Good Evening to you too, Grizelle. It's nice to be back even if I don't like this kind of event."

"Aw. You don't like to see me, Tsunayoshi?" Frecka acted.

"Nonsense. I rather see your face than Gerald's." The brunet waved off. Reborn chuckled on that.

"So the usual room?" The lady asked.

"Ah. Can I have a room with-"

"Eight." Reborn said, after doing a quick count off.

"- eight beds?"

The lady looked at him questioningly before smiling after a click was made inside her head. "Okay. More guests then. I'll tell the others that we have seven more guests. I assume you're going to dine in with the others as always?" She queried while handing three different keys.

"Probably. It is a tradition." Tsuna sighed.

"Oh. It's okay, Tsunayoshi. I'll put another seat on your friends' table if you don't like it there."

Tsuna smiled. "Thank you, Grizelle."

"Always. Now, eight is dinner time."

"I'll pick him up." Frecka assured.

Tsuna waved goodbye to the lady before tugging him to the elevator. They went up to seventh floor of the building, and stopped walking in front of the last room in the hallway. Tsuna took the key with seventy two on it and inserted it on the key hole. He pushed the door open after twisting the knob. Frecka put the bag inside, bid a small 'later' before closing the door with him.

Tsuna took a deep breathe before exhaling. As he did the latter, his aura flared a second before vanishing. Seconds later, a black portal was made in front of them and a man in over all black casual clothes went out, before others piled out as he walked inside. The brunet tilted his head in confusion before looking up to Reborn.

"Who is that?" He asked. Reborn restrained himself from hugging the brunet.

"That's Bermuda."

Tsuna's eyes widened. "Really?!"

"Yeah. Wanna talk to him?"

"Can I?"

Reborn reluctantly let go of his hand. "Go."

Tsuna swiftly evaded the others to reach Bermuda who looked lost. Reborn watched the new level eight demon stared at the brunet with fascination. The latter started to talk, probing, circling the demon who had quirked the sides of his lips in amusement.

"I'm staring at a green eyed monster."

Reborn snapped his head to Skull who is staring at him. "What did you say, lackey?" And a pebble almost hit his forehead if he didn't dodge. It was obviously thrown by Tsuna who was peering at him from Bermuda's shoulder.

"Skull is right, Reborn." Viper said as he stepped on the cold floor in bare feet. He never wears any footwares. "You look like a dejected child after letting go his toy to be played by other kids."

"Tsuna is not a toy." He clarified.

"Yet you didn't deny being jealous." Viper hums as he fixed his cloak. "I would like to buy a new cloak though."

"I'm not jealous either."

"That frown isn't going away anytime soon." Lal teased. "Why can't you ask him for a contract anyway?"

"I asked once." Reborn replied before sitting on the sofa.

The others looked at him in sympathy, wonder and amazement.

"Why not ask again, kora?" Colonnello suggested as he sat on the armchair. "I mean dude, he's just insecure. If you don't, I'll push Skull to ask a contract, kora."

"Why don't you do it?" The black demon mocked.

The blonde smiled evilly. "Oh. I'd dare, kora. But I value bro code."

Reborn pursed his lips into a thin line.

"Did you really think we didn't know?" Fon asked with a serene smile. "Or realize what you feel for him?"

"He's human."

"And you like that human." Fon countered, earning nods from others, even Verde and Viper. "They get old. They die easily. But the feelings they can make you feel is something worth to keep."

"Besides, that feeling will last." Verde added softly while reading some files. "Being in love is something you'll never forget."

"All of us have passion, except for you, kora." Colonnello said. "Skull loves to do stunts, I do military things with my sister, Viper loves to do things with money, Fon has his Chinese culture, Verde has his books. And you... You're not doing anything, kora."

Reborn huffed. "I'll try."

"I'm giving you three days." Lal said with an ultimatum. "If you don't get him in three days, either Colonnello or Skull will get his first contract."

Reborn gulped, feeling dread down into him just thinking of Tsuna's contract will not be him. "Fine."

Just after saying those words, Tsuna came flying towards him. The brunet sat between his legs, facing the others. He hugged the kid by the waist, and the human didn't even took note of it. He didn't mind at all.

Yeah. He likes Tsuna. A lot. He didn't really know it was that deeper, but he knew adoration when he sees it. And he can't just accept that feeling because he is a demon. Demon's can't love. It's a sin for them. But he can't just picture himself in the world without meeting the brunet. He can see himself wallowing in self hate if he didn't see him in Fiant. He'll be there in that dimension, sitting somewhere, waiting for his time to come and be damned. But with Tsuna, everything turned upside down. His life became colorful.

Sin be fucked. He'll never let this man go. He'll pursue him to the end of the world. He'll do everything to keep him alive. That's a vow.

Tsuna cocked his head to the side as a black man, around his age, looked at him. It was John from Africa. The man smiled, and that action caught everyone's attention.

It's dinner time. Like what Frecka promised, he went to get Tsuna and met the other Arcobalenos. They were friendly, to the brunet's point of view. He's itching to ask Frecka what he thinks about them, if he suspects them as the arcobalenos. But their journey to the dining room was quiet. The others were going to come after them. He was needed to come in time. And if he wants to dine with his friends, he needs to excuse himself.

"Tsunayoshi!" John called with a smile and was about to stand when Tsuna raised a brow.

"What's with the act? Thought you'll be able to deceive me with a warm welcome?" The brunet mocked as he sat down on the chair Frecka pulled for him. "Thanks Frecka. You can enjoy your dinner now."

"Excuse me, Sir." Frecka responded with a small smile that Tsuna answered with his own before going away.

"You're being difficult again, Tsunayoshi." A blond with green eyes stated, drinking red wine in his glass.

"If you could just do your own business, I won't mind being quiet here." Tsuna grumbled.

"Don't include us, stupid. It was John's fault." A noiret snarled.

Tsuna rolled his eyes as he stood up. "Right. I'm going."

"You're not eating dinner? Ganauche will look for you." The Russian among them quizzed.

"What did I tell you about minding your businesses?" Tsuna mumbled before stalking away from them.

"Tsunayoshi." Tsuna stopped on his tracks and looked towards the only intimidating man in the table. "Sit."

"Xanxus." Tsuna acknowledge before sighing. "You want me to stay with this..."

"Trashes." Xanxus put in, earning glares from the people in the table. "But you're less trash, so stay here."

Tsuna glared at the people in the table who looked away from him before nodding. "I'll be back."

He walked towards Reborn who just entered the dining room. Black eyes looked around the hall before falling to him. Tsuna can't suppress the smile making its way on his lips. Whenever Reborn is there, mentioned or he's just thinking of him, he'll unconsciously smile. It's not like the hitman is the only person in the world that can make him happy. It's just that seeing him is so comforting even though he is the strongest demon in the universe.

The latter gave a small smile. That gesture made him flattered. He noticed how Reborn will never smile to others, even Colonnello or Lal can't get him to smile. And he felt so happy about this.

"Ready to eat?" Tsuna asked while standing beside the demon in black.

"Yeah." Reborn replied.

"The others?" He queried again.

"Here!" And Tsuna almost met the floor when Skull jumped on his back. Good thing he caught his balance. "I missed you!"

Tsuna groaned before chuckling. "I was only gone for ten minutes."

"Still! I don't like being apart from my human."

Tsuna didn't mind the possessive declamation. "Aw. Sorry, Skull-sama."

"No! No! You are forbidden to call me Skull-sama!"

Tsuna looked at him with innocence. "What should I call you then?"

"Skull only! We're friends so it's just right!"

Tsuna chuckled. "Okay."

"Get off the kid, you idiot." Lal harshly removed the cloud from the brunet.

"You can't just hug him all you want Kora!" Colonnello glared.

"Where do we sit, Tsunayoshi?" Fon asked, whisking the young man away from the little show of possessiveness.

"Where's Reborn?" The brunet asked while looking around.

"Phoo!"

"Hie!" Tsuna jumped in surprise before turning around. The hitman smirked in satisfaction. "Don't scare me like that!"

"Hmm? You were asking for me, if I remember right." Reborn simply answered.

Fon sighed. "Now now, don't be childish, Reborn."

"Heh? Why can't I?" The hitman countered, taking the brunet's hand and intertwining their fingers. "He's my human, not Skull's. No one can own him without my consent."

Tsuna blushed.

"Isn't that right, Tsuna?" And Reborn smiled charmingly.

Tsuna's face smoked up.

"Sometimes, I wonder why can't Tsuna defy Reborn when everyone practically edge away from him." Viper, who appeared in front of them, said while facing them.

"There is a possibility that Tsunayoshi-"

"Verde, Tsu-na." The brunet corrected.

"-has the same feelings of Reborn, but not aware of it." The green head said before taking a seat on the table they were assigned to.

"Yeah! If our friendship isn't mutual, then we won't be together.' And he looked at his demon friend. "Right, Reborn?"

Reborn gave a small nod. "Yup."

Tsuna blinked when he noticed how others looked at him in exasperation, amusement and fondness. "Anything wrong?"

"Of how smart you are, I didn't peg you to be this dense." Lal commented before sitting down.

"Are you eating with us?" The hitman asked.

Tsuna made a contemplating face. "I'll try. Xanxus wanted to talk to someone less trash. I'll try to persuade him to let me go."

"Okay. I'll wait for you."

"Eh. You don't have to. I don't want to be an inconvenience."

"No. I'll wait for you so we can eat together."

Tsuna bit his lower lip before nodding in unsure way. "Okay."

"I advise you to go, Tsunayoshi." Fon said. "Those people I think are skies are looking here."

Tsuna threw a glare to that direction before nodding to the storm. "Okay. I'll see you in a bit."

Tsuna walked to his original yet hated table and sat beside Xanxus. The latter looked at him and gave a small nod.

"What happened in Saint, Tsunayoshi?" Xanxus asked.

Tsuna scowled before sighing. "You're so lucky I can tolerate you."

Reborn eyed the server who smiled at them. The human in tail coat looks friendly enough, though he saw the other having this serious face whenever he served other tables. Maybe Tsuna has the effect on this? The hitman did see how the hotel staffs respect and adore the brunet like he's an amazing person or he did something no one did for them.

The hitman looked around the table. Verde is reading a book as usual, but he looked like a normal human without his white lab coat he left in their room. Viper is reviewing his accounting book, something about profits he gets from turning gold to money. Fon is silently observing his surroundings, maybe gauging those people he thinks are strong enough to last his battle mode. Lal and Colonnello are playing hand games. Of how can the latter make Lal do such things is unfathomable. Skull is talking with Bermuda who barely announced his presence awhile ago. Even Tsuna didn't get to greet the new level eight demon.

"Should I serve you your meals, Sirs and Madam?" The server asked politely.

"Will Tsuna dine with us?" Skull asked. "I want to eat with him."

"Ah. Then we should wait in a moment, Sir. Tsunayoshi will find a way to get out of their holds any minute now."

All eyes went to the server.

"Does this happen a lot?" Viper asked, obviously on full information gathering mode.

"Which happening?" The waiter asked.

"All of this." Fon added on.

The young man smiled and shook his head. "Tsunayoshi is very aloof. He hates a lot of people. It's our first in two years to have people, well demons, he invited. He likes to have a single room without any roommates. He likes to dine alone too, inviting random demons to eat with him."

"How can he get away from them?" Viper questioned.

"He makes his own kind of ruckus." The server shrugs.

Just after finishing the answer, they heard shouts. Reborn immediately stood up when he heard the familiar cold voice. He remembers well, alright. He was directed to that voice once, and he never wants to be subjected to that again.

Tsuna holds a spoon that is dripping some blood. One man is holding his bloody hand, obviously stabbed by the brunet with his silverware (Of how he can fight people with the most useless things, Reborn doesn't know). Tsuna is glaring at the other, ready to attack again even though the other is not doing anything.

Reborn went to them, observing the other people at the table. There's a prominent man with short spiky black hair with a feathers connected to the hair on his nape, his face has scars, eyes glaring and red, and he looks strong. He is drinking an alcohol amidst all the commotion and smirking as if amused at Tsuna. There is also a blond who had his bangs on the side and brown eyes, he's holding Tsuna, whispering soothing words. It is very well working since his human is calming down little by little.

"Y-You stabbed me!" The injured man hollered in horror.

"Stupid." The blond sighed as Tsuna's anger went back in full strike.

"And I wouldn't if you just kept your insults to yourself. For someone who owns a good company, you're brainless." Tsuna countered with spite.

"It was the truth! Those demons are stupid to help you! You're nothing but a colorless-"

Tsuna raised his hand that has the bloody spoon, threatening to stab again.

"Help!" The man shouted in fear.

"Coward." The noiret with red eyes snickered.

"Xanxus." The blond chided, though he is trying to stop the smile that is impending to stretch in his lips.

"I can tolerate you bad mouthing me." Tsuna growled. "But never ever insult nor touch my demon friends, cause I can assure you, before they can touch a strand of hair in that body of yours, I'll be the first one to fucking kill you with the most stupid thing you can think of."

Reborn took that as a cue to interfere, internally getting reign of the pleasant shiver that wants to roll down to his spine because of the curse word from the brunet. "Tsuna."

The brunet perked up and looked at him. The cold and dullness of his eyes vanished and was replaced with warmth. "Reborn."

"Causing your usual trouble, I see." He mused.

The noiret and blond laughed loudly. Tsuna smiled with mischief.

"Don't I do that everyday?" The brunet thoughtfully asked.

"More like every time I'm not with you." The hitman replied.

Tsuna huffed. "You don't even stop me when I do that."

"Then let's rephrase it. You do it everytime you see an opportunity." Reborn teased as he put a hand on the fist that helds the handle of the spoon. "And cutlery aren't used to kill. You use it for food. If you want to injure somebody, go for a gun or a knife."

"It's the most stupid thing I can hold of." Tsuna shrugs as he let it go, making a loud clatter in the sudden silent room. "I'll just tell Ryan to melt that. Who wants to use a spoon coated with blood of an idiot? Do you think the fire will kill the owner of the blood too? Like he'll suddenly burn alive and vanish without a single trail?"

The said owner of the blood panicked and about to cry in fear.

"I mean demons are everywhere. I'll even offer that demon my food just to incinerate the owner." Tsuna happily said with voice dripping of acid.

Reborn grinned before ruffling the other's head. "You're rather good at making morbid plans."

"Well, being surrounded by stupid people has its perks."

"Aw. You think we're stupid?" The blond pouted.

"No. Of course not. You and Xanxus are tolerable. Especially you, since you make me special." The kid replied.

The blond smiled with a blush while Xanxus, Reborn assumed, only huffed and looked away.

"Sir Tsunayoshi." An entertained waitress called out before bowing to them.

"Tasha. No need to bow." Tsuna said as he put a hand on the lady's shoulder. "Am I allowed to take my own table now."

The waitress straightened her back and nodded. "Yes."

"Then I'll dine with my friends." Tsuna said and started to walk away, Reborn in his steps. "Serve us our meals okay?"

"Yes Sir!" Tasha responded before going to the kitchen.

"Now that I'm free, what's new?" Tsuna asked as Fon pulled a chair for him. "Thanks Fon."

"No problem." The Chinese looking demon smiled.

"Nothing." Lal said in boredom as Reborn sat beside the brunet.

Tsuna smiled before nodding. "Cheese cake is better than Vanilla right?"

Reborn watched as Bermuda disagrees with the notion. The others stared at the young demon before Colonnello agrees, choosing Cheese cake. The table went on a hot debate of ingredients, percentage of eaters of every cake, the taste and so on. They didn't even noticed how Tsuna watched them from his spot as the food is being served by three different waiters, nor the way the brunet thanked each one with a smile.

Reborn just internally smiled at the small gesture to make his friends bond over dinner. Skies do make silly things to strengthen a group.
