"Okay, was the blindfold really necessary?" Kayla questioned, as Ward took off the cloth that had been wrapped around her eyes.
"Security reasons" Kara told her, as Kayla opened her eyes to see they were walking down a long corridor.
"How did you find us?" Ward inquired.
"It wasn't you I was looking for, it was that…thing" Kayla confessed.
"What exactly is that thing?" Kara asked.
"I have a theory" Kayla shrugged.
"Care to share with the class?" Ward queried.
"I will if you tell me where we are and why we are here" Kayla retorted.
"F.A.S headquarters" Ward replied, as they reached the end of the corridor.
"Which stand for what?" Kayla questioned, confused.
"Fight Against Shield" Ward smirked, before he opened the doors, revealing the huge base before them.
"Woah…wait, and you work here?" Kayla asked.
"He runs the place" Kara informed her.
"You're the director?" Kayla inquired, raising an eyebrow.
"We're not like S.H.I.E.L.D" Ward exclaimed.
"How about Hydra?" Kayla suggested.
"Even more far from Hydra. In fact, we destroyed the last remnants two months ago" Ward explained.
"So where are you taking me?" Kara queried.
"Briefing room. That thing has got a lot of people worried" Kara told her.
They soon entered a large room, filled with all sorts of people. Ranging from a smartly dressed black women, to a white man who looked like he was still in his pajamas.
"Alright, here's our expert" Ward announced, as a hush came over the room.
"Expert?" Kayla questioned, glaring at Ward.
"You seemed to have some idea what was going on…we've got nothing" He admitted.
"Okay, I'll go right back to the beginning. I'm guessing a lot of you have heard about the worldwide rise of Inhumans?" Kayla asked.
"Isn't it true that you're one of them?" A black man with glasses stated.
"Yes, do you have a problem with that?" Kayla retorted.
"Not unless you have a problem with me" The man chuckled, before picking up his metal pen, which immediately turned to gold.
"Wait, there are Inhumans here?" Kayla queried, shocked.
"Everyone's welcome to fight against shield" Ward exclaimed.
"Here, here" The man smiled.
"Damn, I bet that power comes in handy" Kayla laughed, before getting a nudge from Kara to not get sidetracked.
"Anyway…there was a large rise in the U.K, so I decided to go back there…less S.H.I.E.L.D agents trying to kill me. I set up a sort of halfway house for newly turned Inhumans. Things were going pretty well, we were helping lots of people and then Tracy Dens showed up. She came in with increased strength, she could literally punch through…well just about anything. Then a couple of weeks later there was an incident with a newly turned inhuman, their power was wind, or something like that. He was trying out his powers when Tracy got in the way, she fell over, smashed her head onto a table. It was pretty touch and go for a few minutes and then suddenly she healed. People started to get suspicious. They isolated her. Then the nose bleeds would start. She would literally have a nose bleed for 24 hours sometimes. She would eat her own weight in food, but she was just getting thinner and thinner every day. Things really came to a head when one of the other Inhumans, one with super hearing picked something up one day. Tracy's heart hadn't been beating from the moment she stepped through that door" Kayla informed them.
"What do you mean?" Ward inquired, confused.
"She been dead long before she came to us. It had been eating away at her, and none of us realised it. It's the same thing that attacked you today" Kayla went on.
"The exact same thing?" Kara questioned.
"Unfortunately there seems to be more than one" Kayla confessed.
"Wait, you never told us what happened with Tracy?" The inhuman insisted.
"Tracy…she didn't…she didn't realise she was dead. I tried to keep her calm, but she had completely lost it by then. She was in the middle of a panic attack before she just dropped to the ground. One of the others ran over to her, tried to see if she was okay. Her eyes opened and she reached out to him, killing him instantly" Kara stated.
"Just like with the builder" Ward realised.
"Everything was thrown into chaos. Tracy's demeanor was completely different. Before she was scared and then suddenly she was just calm. She started to run after the people who tried to get away, she would touch them and they would drop. So I figured, seeing as I can't die, I should try to go up against her…but I kind of bottled it. I mean, there was blood dripping from her eyes…it scared the hell out of me. But I got her to chase me into the kitchen and I locked the door. I saw the gas oven in the corner and turned them all on. One of our cooks was a smoker, so I found his lighter lying around and then I opened the door. She ran in, I ran out and through the lighter in. Let's just say I didn't look to good when I woke up. Burns are a bitch. But I saw…it…fly out of her" Kayla informed them.
"It?" Kara questioned.
"That shadow thing. From what I've seen it takes months for these things to become powerful enough to kill. If it has found another host it wouldn't be able to kill yet. That guy wasn't the same thing" Kayla told them.
"You said you had a theory?" Ward suggested.
"Did you read S.H.I.E.L.D's report on what happened the last time I saw you?" Kayla asked.
"…There was something about a shadow" Kara realised.
"It said some sort of shadow burst out of me after I got shot. I used to have the power to well…kill with touch. It's got to be connected" Kayla explained.
"I've got to be honest, I'm more than a little confused right now. Ward, do us a favor and write a very detailed explanatory report on this tomorrow" The Inhuman said, as he stood up, nods from the others.
"You want a back rub with that, Pete?" Ward retorted.
"I was thinking more of a foot rub" Pete chuckled, patting Ward on the shoulder, as the others piled out of the room.
"Well that went well…ish" Kayla shrugged.
Author's Notes: I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! Don't worry, we will be seeing S.H.I.E.L.D turn up very soon, we're going to have a lot of sub-plots so that there is something for everyone. I'm on holiday this week, so I'm not sure if I'll have time to update next week, but I'll try my hardest! Please leave a review:)

Guest: I really enjoyed the escape scene too, haha. Yeah, no way was Ward going down the Hydra route in this story. Hive will be involved, but in a different way and won't be as important. The main storyline for a while will be F.A.S trying to take them down, while having to deal with all these other threats like Hive.
