Chapter Nineteen

"Let's go." Tsuna said after he slammed the door shut.

Frecka nodded, started to back away from the car's park, and drove off, leaving a begging and shouting Gerald behind. "Are you sure, Tsunayoshi?"

Reborn looked at his human and nudged him after estimating the meters they drove.

Tsuna sighed. "You know, I hate how kind I am."

Frecka chuckled before stopping and opening the locks of the doors. The door of the passenger's opened and Gerald went in, panting. The red head looked back to Tsuna and beamed.

"I knew you won't leave me." Gerald said.

Tsuna rolled his eyes. "You're my cargo whether I like or not."

"You love us that much." Frecka chimed in as he drove off. "Except Gerald though."

"I agree." The brunet replied.

Gerald pouted.

Tsuna dropped his bag to the floor and let himself sprawl on Reborn's lap. The demon put his hand on the brunet's locks and combed them slowly. Lulled by the soothing hands, the young man fell asleep.

The whole week was exhausting for Tsuna. He had to keep everyone in line since he discovered that they're as wayward as Reborn described them. The only one who was lenient enough was the hitman himself who kept his chaos in the most minimal destruction, that includes beating Colonnello by kicking him repeatedly to fly in meters away from the brunet whenever the Rain becomes too clingy. Or having this argument with Bermuda that caused a lot of destruction when Reborn suddenly retaliates with violence when he has a good comeback. When Tsuna asked why he did that, the hitman only smiles innocently and shrugs.

The three days worth of battles were probably the freest the Arcobaleno had felt. Tsuna was able to discover how powerful his friends are. Reborn does uphold his title as the strongest cause he did not need help from Tsuna. The brunet only stood at the side as the ravenet did the trashing with just his one gun.

Colonnello is a laughing demon. He uses his aura to numb his enemy and torture him with his rifle gun and is pretty sadistic as Lal and Reborn. He was smiling and laughing while he shoot at the demon.

Lal is a military woman. If Reborn is able to materialize his weapons, Lal has endless guns stashed around her body. Shotgun, rifle, handgun, pistol. Name it, she has it.

Fon is a Storm. A literal storm. He tarnished the arena when one of the summons went too far as calling Tsuna a shitty slut. The demon was smiling when he did that and asked the brunet with that scary expression to remove the contract. He did remove the contract. Reborn was nice enough to warn him that Fon will break the arm of the demon and tear it off if he did not remove the contract, just to erase the contract.

Viper destroyed the demon by just standing there. The demon kept screaming inside a transparent box and swinging his arms as if wanting to hit someone or something before shouting he gives up. The summoner could only stare in despair. Tsuna didn't dare ask what happened there, but did praise Viper for a good job. He earned a small smile from the Mist.

Verde didn't had to do anything. His opponent conceded immediately just a sight of him. The green head preened this over Reborn who drew out his guns and pointed at him that the scientist only stared at with a smug look. Tsuna joined on Verde's jesting and jabbing, but immediately apologized to the hitman who only stared at him in amusement.

Skull was too cute to be true. He went all out hulk on his opponent, smashed the latter on the ground then latched on Tsuna after. The brunet cooed on the Cloud as they go out of the arena, not even trying to be concern on the defeated (and probably dead) demon on the ground.

The one who amazed Tsuna (and made Reborn jealous, not that he knows) was Bermuda. The night demon did his work in the cleanest manner. He just bounded the demon with his chains and teleported him from the ceiling to let him fall. But Bermuda placed the man on the floor with his portal, not letting his opponent die. But probably scared to death after that free falling.

They were told to attend the party held after the rest day. Tsuna didn't go, but invited the others to visit the nearest town. They did go, and he let them spend a lot. It wasn't his money anyway. Ganauche only gave him an amused look when they got back, just in the middle of the party, and retired to their room without stopping.

And today was the last day. Xanxus gave him a hug, while Dino smiled pleasantly to him after a tight embrace. Ganauche told him to visit his family that he dismissed and went out after Reborn told him that they need to go.

Reborn looked at his human when the latter groaned and opened his eyes. Brown eyes stared at him disorientedly before sitting up. He was going to ask what was wrong when he saw the brown colors went to orange ones. Those eyes he only sees when the kid is emotionally challenged and having trouble over something.

"Frecka." Tsuna called, voice low and imposing.

The three of them went on alert with straight back and tense shoulder. The brunet looked like a commander in charged.

"Yes, Tsunayoshi." The green head responded. "Is it your intuition again?"

"Yes." The brunet groaned as he massaged his forehead. "Stop the car."

Frecka heed his order before facing him. "How intense is it?"

"At every fucking second." Tsuna answered as he cringed. "Reborn, watch your back."

"More like watch each other's six." Gerald muttered as he opened his door.

"Stay here, Tsuna." Reborn said as he opened his door.

"Argh. I won't go anywhere with his headache." The kid assured as he laid on the seat.

Reborn closed the door and looked around the place they stopped at. They're in the middle of nowhere. Probably a fourth more before they reach the very middle of their route. There are a lot of trees, no houses and he can sense a lot of demon but not that near them.

His eyes looked at Gerald who was walking away from his eight o'clock before his gaze shifted to Frecka who went out of the vehicle too. The latter looked really worried, surely had an experience in regards to the brunet's bizarre danger sense. It makes him really confused though. His senses aren't tingling in warning, so how does Tsuna know?

"You know Giotto di Vongola, Reborn?" Frecka queried.

Reborn blinked slowly, eyes shadowed by his hat as he recalled the blond man with blue eyes and warming smiles. Giotto di Vongola is no means the greatest sky, rivaling Luce Giglio Nero, his previous sky, and the sky of Mios millenia ago. What he had was not demon guardians, but human elements with powerful auras. It wasn't really a question too since the man is the greatest sorcerer at that time.

What made him admire the human was his courage to love a demon and fight for his feelings even if all the demons in the world wanted to break them. To even sacrifice himself for the sake of his family... No wonder his blood continues on. He doesn't know the man personally, but they had conversed once, three days before the world shattering battle. And he says the man deserved to live, not the sacrificial offer for the blood.

He nodded. "I know him. But not that close. How about you?"

"I researched about him." Frecka mused. "His wife and son adopted the name Sawada."

The demon's head snapped to the other's direction.

"And I found out that there are three Sawadas alive. One of them is a hunter, the other is an exorcist while the other is a..." The young man chuckled. "A delinquent."

"Tsuna is Giotto's descendant."

"Yes. There are plenty of evidences that we can point out to prove this theory."

Reborn thought hard. Not that he cannot remember the blond. But it was eons ago. His memories during that time aren't clear as today.

"Giotto di Vongola is famed of his hyper intuition. Some calls it demonic intuition for it's almost the same as premonition of the future for its accuracy. It can sense danger, deduce logic and detect lies. Tsuna is undeniably the clone of Vongola Primo with his gravity defying hair and facial structure. Primo's sky aura is known to be the strongest, but Tsuna's is developing as it goes on. Even though I'm not a demon, I can still feel the strong aura from him."

"He's also pretty obsess with justice and fairness. He hates seeing others getting hurt, and he sees humans and demons equally. He has never asserted himself as dominant nor inferior. And as far as he could, he will offer help." He uttered.

Frecka smiled. "So if Tsuna says he can sense it, he really does."

Reborn nodded before he looked down to the window that was rolling down. "What Tsuna?"

"Skyward..." The brunet grimaced. "They're coming."

Reborn was about to ask who was coming when his senses tingled. He looked upward and stared at the open portal that came out of no where. He summoned his gun and about to tell Tsuna to close the window when a demon appeared on the hood of the car and smashed it, almost crashing the brunet inside.

The hitman's instinct took a hold of him and shot the demon to the head. The demon flew off just as many came raining down. The car door opened and Tsuna went out with a scowl on his face. Reborn kept his mouth tight shut when the brunet high kicked a humanoid dinosaur.

Reborn's brow shot up when Tsuna faced him with a taunting smile and raised one finger. The brunet added another finger when he punched a demon to unconsciousness. The hitman smirked and took the challenge, he readied his gun and pointed it to the incoming wave.

"Mayhem." He said with a devil smile to Tsuna.

The human watched the gun shot a bullet that multiplied to eight ammo and hit eight different demons. Tsuna grumbled before going for a kill. Reborn just chuckled and followed his lead.

The two started to finish off a lot of their attackers, filling up for the other's weakness and challenging the other to do more. Amidst the battlefield, laughter of the two can be heard. Some demons reluctantly attack them because the duo would engage them more.

"How much?" Tsuna asked Reborn as they're on back to back position.

"I have sixty-seven." The hitman answered.

Tsuna gave a 'hah!'. "I got seventy!"

"Oh. Don't get too cocky yet, Human."

The brunet only slipped his tongue out before running towards his targets.

"Gaah!" A demon cried out as it got swarmed by enemies.

Tsuna ran up to Gerald's demon (after seeing the contract sign on the creature) and kicked the semi-demon that is trying to kill him. "You okay?"

"Grrr..." [Yes.]

"Where's your summoner?" He asked as he tripped a demon and punch its gut.

"Hrr." [Somewhere.]

"Frecka!" The two heard Gerald yelled from somewhere.

Tsuna's eyes went to the green head's spot. The latter is being ganged up. He looked back to the demon who devoured himself to its shadow. A sec later, a panting Frecka was beside him and Gerald is exorcising the demons.

"You who devoured the soul of life, tricked the mind and grasped the heart," Gerald held out his left hand. "I hereby exile you!"

"I can't believe Gerald know how to exorcise." Frecka stage-whispered to Tsuna after recovering.

"I don't either." The brunet whispered back.

"I can hear you, you morons!" Gerald called out.

Frecka laughed while Reborn rolled his eyes.

As he inwardly recited the weak binding spell, Tsuna pulled out one of his paper and threw it upward. "I restrict you!" A barrier appeared, caging the demons inside. Good thing Reborn wasn't inside, Frecka's and Gerald's demons are with their summoners. He placed a paper on the barrier. "You who devoured the soul of life, tricked the mind and grasped the heart,"

"My... What ruckus we have here." A new voice said.

Tsuna paused and looked up to see a flying human with white hair, white complexion and purple eyes with an inverted purple crown tattooed on his left cheek. An albino. He is wearing white clothes with silver shoulder plates. What makes him prominent is the white angel wings on his back. Surely, his intuition informed him that the creature is a demon. On how dangerous, very. The demon is even smiling so wide, and he can't shake off the feeling that the former is about to do something he won't like.

"Can you not exile my demons?" The albino asked.

"They attacked us." Frecka stated.

"I told them to do it." The flying demon reasoned.

Tsuna blinked before looking at the demons inside the barrier. Ain't that a good reason? "I hereby exile you."

They watched as the demons inside cry in pain before they turned to ashes. Tsuna whipped his head to Frecka who suddenly disappeared at the side of his peripheral view. A human with neon green hair has his bodyguard. He growled and stared at Frecka. The latter nodded and closed his eyes.

"Huz." Frecka whispered.

Tsuna reached for one of his ankle, lifted the clothe there and took the small knife he has. A level three demon appeared beside his bodyguard and engulfed the other with its body before they disappeared. He took that time to throw the knife towards the neon green, raised two fingers just below his chin and glared.

"With the power that created the moon, the stars, the sun. Under the shining ray of the light who accepted the darkness, and by the authority bestowed on me. You who harm," Tsuna uttered, took a deep breathe before exhaling. "I bind you."

The neon green writhe in pain as a barrier suddenly surrounded him. Reborn, who was quiet the whole time, pulled his gun's trigger and shot the demon on his leg and shoulder. Tsuna ran up and slapped a paper on the barrier. But before he can mutter a powerful spell for exorcism, he was thrown away.

Reborn hurriedly ran and caught up with him. The hitman was about to catch him when he got kicked in the stomach by a demon. He flew perpendicular to Tsuna's trajection. While the brunet hit trees and stopped his flight by planting his legs on the ground and letting his hands grip the soil to keep him grounded, the hitman made a trail of smoke when he stopped his glide.

Both coughed blood and wiped the side of their lips to remove the blood. Tsuna felt pain on his back, probably due to breaking three thick trees, while Reborn is sporting a hole on his stomach.

"My front and back hurt." Reborn groaned.

"Don't get started on me." Tsuna said before he spat blood.

"My back hurts like hell, Tsuna. And I'm sporting a hole on my stomach."

"You only got a quarts on my back pain while I have tons. And my stomach hurts just as how painful is yours." The human hissed. "God."

Reborn healed himself up and stood straighter. "I can't surely let that go."

Tsuna craned his neck after his stomach felt a little good before standing. "Yeah-"

The brunet put his hands in front of him to stop the foot that is about to help him gain more pain. He took a good grip on the limb and pulled the albino down. The other groaned and Tsuna got curious about the wings. He touched it and caressed it gently.

His mouth with 'o' when he felt the soft feathers. He was so into it that he forgot that they're in a battlefield. It was too late when he heard his demon shouting his name and registered what he meant. He suddenly saw himself being pushed on the ground, forehead first and unable to move because of the hand on his back and another gripping both of his arms.

He only breathed in rendition and didn't do a futile struggle. Instead he looked out for Reborn who is being held too by two high demons. An irk mark appeared on his temple. The heck. He has semis while Reborn has higher demons. That's just unfair.

The hitman's eyes caught his. As if knowing what he is thinking, his demon smirked. Tsuna growled in response.

"-underestimated you."

Tsuna looked at the talking albino. "Pardon?"

The vicinity's noise stopped. But the albino grinned. "You weren't listening."

"I wasn't." He answered truthfully. "You could repeat what you were saying though. It looked important."

"Hmm." The angel demon (how ironic) hummed as if thinking though before he kneeled a knee in front of him. "You're an enigma, Tsunayoshi Sawada."

"You know my name. Isn't that kinda rude that you didn't introduce yourself to me?"

The other laughed. "You didn't do your research."

The human stared before laughter rang out of his mouth. It took him seconds before he calmed down and a smirk graced his lips. "Oh you don't know how much I know you, Byakuran."

"Oh. You do know me."

"Yeah. I was only asking an introduction because it's a common courtesy. Then again, I guess not all demons have this kind of etiquette nor know what it is."

Byakuran stilled. How brazen of a human to say he does not have manners?!

"Byakuran Gesso of Millefiore, the Demon king of Mios. The Mad hatter of Fiant. The one who claims as the successor of insanity. The question is, are you mad enough to be one?"

The demon with angel wings stared at Tsuna. "I am mad."

"Really? Are you sure being insane is the only reason that Fiore sacrificed her mind?"

Byakuran cracked, anger building up inside him. How dare him?! How dare this human say that he's not mad?! He killed millions just to acquire his power! He is the mad hatter of Mios! The Demon king who killed his parents for the sake of his own sanity! And a mere human just criticised him?! Asked him if his insanity is really the reason why he was crowned a demon king?! Preposterous!

The atmosphere tensed as Byakuran release miasma at full blow. But Tsuna... Tsuna didn't flinch. He was still smirking, taunting, and letting his question sink in to every demon present.

Reborn can't help thinking if Tsuna said was right. Was it really the only reason? Was the sacrifice for sanity truly is the insanity of Tizia Fiore? Was the sacrifice for blood was just really because they needed the blood of Giotto di Vongola? Did Kawahira verily sacrificed his mortality for the sake of overseeing the result of their sacrifices? Did Luce's life was honestly the key for the balance of the world?

His jaws locked when pain suddenly coursed through his body. His eyes cleared and stared at Tsuna's face that showed excruciating pain. He hazily analyzed the situation. Tsuna still laid on his stomach on the floor, being held down by a semi demon, and Byakuran is hovering over him, a hand on the exposed waist of the human and grinning like a twisted demon. He was about to break free when more pain pinned him down.

Tsuna opened his eyes and glared at the white haired demon. He slowly flexed his pain assaulted limbs before gathering his aura and slowly chanted his untouchable incantation.

"Humans use spells to remove contracts, don't you? I wonder if it's painful just how you feel yours. Cause I admit that I remove contract symbols with my aura. Do you know how does it work, Tsunayoshi Sawada?" The albino sarcastically asked.

Tsuna concentrated on the second round of chanting.

"The one who feels more pain is the one I'm in direct contact. If I'm in direct contact with Reborn, he will feel the pain you're feeling. However, since you are who I want to suffer most, I'm giving you the pain."

Tsuna gave small smirk. "Restrict restrict,"

"What-"

"Untouch the weak. Push the tormentor. Away to relief."

And Tsuna's aura bursted from his body. The demons around him got thrown away except for Reborn who almost keeled. He immediately scrabbled towards his demon and checked him for injury. There was none, but the hitman is panting out of pain. Tsuna knew he had more of the pain, but that isn't his concern now.

"I should... Be the one checking you." Reborn protested.

"Adrenaline is still on me." Tsuna assured, flexing his limbs every now and then as he holds his demon's hands. "Use your aura to remove your pain."

Reborn inhaled as he did what was suggested. "That was my first time experiencing a contract removal after centuries."

Tsuna's brows knitted. "Reborn, he didn't-"

"Get down." The demon hissed as he pushed Tsuna's head down, whipped his gun out and pointed at their enemies's direction. "Mayhem."

Reborn shot more while protecting Tsuna. Tsuna was silent and looking around too, watching Reborn's back. He was about to duck when he saw something on his peripheral view. It was Byakuran, charging something from his hand. Tsuna yanked Reborn's tie towards him and they fell on the ground with him on the bottom just as an orange beam flew past them. Tsuna peered between Reborn's arm and side to see the spot where his demon was awhile ago, looking scorched up.

Tsuna breathed out before looking at Reborn who is staring at him with wide eyes.

"Bermuda." Tsuna called just as his demon slowly lit up.

"I'm sorry." Reborn quietly apologized.

The brunet shook his head and smiled reassuringly. "Don't be. Before you think of something, hear me out when I come for you, okay? Now go back to Fiant and rest. I'll handle everything from here."

And before Reborn disappeared, Tsuna gave his forehead a feathery kiss. The brunet closed his eyes and breathed out a sob. Tears slid down his cheeks. He let them be to let out his sadness over his demon's frustration, anger, and sadness. After a sec of crying, he sat up, dried his tears and glared at Byakuran who is watching his demons get damned by the Arcobalenos who came with Bermuda.

If he was on land and standing on his both feet, Byakuran would've already stepped back at the intensity of amber eyes glaring at him. What made it more scary is the tears trailing on the human's cheeks. Who is Tsunayoshi Sawada? Who is this human that gives so much fright on him? A human who gives so much arrogance that he can back up with his power.

"Don't underestimate a human, Demon." Tsuna said as he stood up, still looking up to him. "Yes, you know my name, my origin, my race. But you don't know what I'm capable of. Perhaps you didn't do your research well, Gesso."

"Don't get too cocky, human." He growled.

The brunet grinned sardonically. "Expect us on your place in two days, Byakuran Gesso. We'll make you see how powerful a summoner and a contractor when under treaty."

"What-"

Tsuna watched the flying demon get devoured by Bermuda's portal.
