Fitz had managed to get the security codes quickly, as he had expected. No one really took any notice of him anymore. They had decided to next try to steal the security codes from Daisy. While Ward and Kayla distracted her, Fitz would steal her security clearance card and hack into the system. Kayla was unbelievably nervous about seeing her ex-best friend. She wasn't sure if she was going to be able to keep it together, but she knew she had to at least try. As they came to the Inhumans Division's base, Kayla was surprised to see large containers spread around, with nothing but a bed in them.

"What are those for?" Kayla inquired.

"It's where they live most of the time. It's basically a quarantine, to keep them away from everyone else" Fitz answered, as Kayla scoffed in disgust.

They soon found Daisy, speaking to the other Inhumans. Kayla allowed herself a moment to take in the new appearance. She had cut her hair to just above her shoulders, which was far shorter than Kayla's which had once again began to grow. She also had a ridiculous amount of makeup caked onto her face, which was not like the old Skye Kayla knew. She was also wearing some sort of combat suit that left very little to the imagination, and looked pretty uncomfortable. All in all, she was almost unrecognizable.

"Daisy! Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?" Fitz called over to her.

"Oh, yeah. What is it?" Daisy inquired, walking over to them.

"I just have some fans here who really wanted to meet you" Fitz explained.

"It's nice to meet you" Ward said, raising his hand for a handshake, which Daisy didn't respond to.

"Hi" Kayla all but squeaked.

"I don't really have time for this, Fitz. We're about to be called on for a mission" Daisy told him.

"Right, okay then" Fitz replied, beginning to turn away.

"What's the mission about?" Ward questioned.

"Its Level 8 clearance" Daisy retorted, walking away.

"I don't even recognize her anymore" Kayla whispered, sadly, watching her go.

"Come on, let's go to the weapon division" Fitz suggested.

Kayla was about to follow when she heard a blonde guy talking into his comm's about something that peaked her interest.

"What do you mean a shadow? How can that be right?" He questioned, as Kayla's eyes widened.

"And they're all dead?" He frowned, as Ward walked over to her, hearing this too.

"Yes Sir, we'll do what we can" The blonde finished, shutting off his comm's and walking over to Daisy.

"So these shadow creatures can kill just by touching?" Fitz inquired, after they had gone back to Ward's room, to explain everything to Fitz.

"Yes, but what I'm more worried about is the fact that they can just jump into anyone. What if they infiltrate this base? There are freaking nuclear weapons here!" Kayla exclaimed.

"We'll just have to keep an eye on things. That's all we can do" Ward stated.

"In the meantime, we better get the weapon's division clearance. Here's our target" Fitz told them, handing Ward a tablet with a man's face on.

"He's not a bad guy. Don't hurt him" Fitz said, glaring at Ward.

"I won't. What do we have on him?" Ward inquired.

"He loves a flirt. So it shouldn't be too hard to distract him" Fitz explained.

"Brilliant. I'll head down there" Kayla announced.

"Actually…I think Ward should take this one" Fitz suggested.

"Oh…" Kayla trailed off, realising what he meant.

"Um…I'm not actually that good at this. The last time I tried this, I ended up having to knock the guy out" Ward insisted.

"Don't worry, I'll walk you through it. Come on" Kayla said, pulling him out the room, as Fitz followed.

"Okay, I'm going to walk you through this" Kayla announced, into the comm's she, Ward, and Fitz had on, hiding at the corner.

"Alright" Ward said, as he began walking down the corridor, towards the target.

"Now, start with a smile" Kayla told him, as Ward put on them most forced smile she had ever seen.

"Relax, you look like you've just seen your grandmother naked. God, Fitz a little help" Kayla sighed, now realising how hard this was going to be.

"Okay…um, imagine you've just got home and Kayla is waiting for you…naked" Fitz stated.

"Really not helping" Ward whispered, approaching the target.

"Oh my God, Fitz. You're such a pervert" Kayla scolded him, elbowing him in the ribs.

"I was just trying to help and…oh no, he's already there" Fitz announced, seeing Ward was now standing in front of the guy.

"Hey…Bill. I'm Mason, foot solider" Ward told him, holding up his badge.

His badge actually had a tiny scanner in it, which when he held it near the other man's badge, began to scan the details.

"Alright, it's starting to work. 5% downloaded" Fitz stated.

"Late night training, huh? I try to get that in at least three times a week" Bill replied, as Kayla listened in.

"It shows. You look amazing" Kara told him to say, as Ward repeated the words.

"You do anything else with you free time, like take a guy out for a drink?" Kayla spoke into the comms, as Fitz couldn't help but laugh.

"Shut up, Fitz" Kayla retorted.

"Shut up, Fitz" Ward repeated, his eyes going wide.

"Uh, nervous tick" Ward shrugged, as Bill looked at him with a frown.

"So, about those drinks?" Ward insisted.

"Um, sure. Yeah, definitely" Bill replied.

"75% downloaded. Keep him talking" Fitz warned them.

"It's so hard to find a guy these days who has the brain's as well as the looks. It must be my lucky day" Kayla stated, as Ward repeated.

"Well you most certainly have the looks" Bill grinned at him, as Fitz once again burst into a fit of laughter.

"Stop laughing" Kayla cried at Fitz.

"Stop laughing…I mean, I've heard that's a really good bar. Not far from the base…" Ward stuttered, as Kayla face palmed.

"Okay, we're done. End it before you embarrass yourself any further" Kayla exclaimed.

"Uh, okay. How about Friday?" Bill asked.

"Yep, that would be great. Yeah…" Ward trailed off, backing away.

He tripped over a nearby cleaning cart as he wasn't looking where he was going. With a nervous laugh, he turned around giving the guy a wave, who waved back in response. When he made it to the corner, his face was as red as a tomato.

"You weren't kidding about being bad, were you?" Fitz questioned, still laughing.

So I found out this week that I've been officially accepted into University, which I am really excited about, however it does mean it will be harder for me to update my fanfics, but I'm going to try my best!
