"So, you're Lincoln right?" Kayla inquired, as she found him in the Inhuman division.

"Uh, yeah. Can I help you?" Lincoln frowned.

"Is it true that you and Daisy are dating?" Kayla asked.

"Yes. Why is that any of your business?" Lincoln retorted.

"I'm just trying to figure out if you're a creep that I'm going to have to throw to the curb" Kayla explained.

"You've known Daisy for what, a couple of days? And suddenly you guys are besties?" Lincoln accused.

"It's complicated. I'm just trying to look out for her" Kayla went on, seeing that Lincoln seemed easy to anger.

"…Well so I am. I care about Daisy. A lot" He admitted, his look softening.

"Do you really think all this is good for her then?" Kayla suggested.

"I'm not getting into this…" Lincoln trailed off.

"They're forcing you to live in a cell, how can you be okay with that?" Kayla said, trying to provoke him.

"I'm okay with that because Daisy is. I go where she goes, that's the end of it" He exclaimed.

"There are better places for Inhumans. It's dangerous here" Kayla stated.

"Its dangerous everywhere for Inhumans. It's not like we can just leave anyway, S.H.I.E.L.D would always find us" Lincoln told her.

"Well what if there was no S.H.I.E.L.D anymore?" Kayla suggested.

"Wait…you're part of the F.A.S, aren't you?" Lincoln whispered.

"No one will believe you if you tell. I'm not on records anywhere" Kayla informed him.

"I won't, but…is it true? That there's a war coming?" Lincoln queried.

"It's already here" She replied, before walking away.

"I don't think it's in Lincoln either. Any luck at your ends?" Kayla inquired into her comms.

"Nope, it definitely wasn't in either of my targets. They were both as happy as pie" Ward stated.

"Mine either. They've got to be the calmest people I've ever met, probably the healthiest too" Fitz confessed, as they all came together at the meeting place.

"This doesn't make any sense" Kayla frowned, as she checked there was no one in the corridor.

"Maybe you got it wrong? Maybe it's not in any of them?" Fitz suggested.

"I don't know…it feels like we're missing something" Ward exclaimed.

"But it's not in any of them, so how-" Kayla was cut off, as a large man shoved past her, almost pushing her to the ground.

"Hey, what the hell!" Ward called after him, as Kayla held him back.

"Stay out of my way" He growled back at them, his eyes flickering black for a moment.

"Holy crap…" Kayla trailed off, realising it was in the man.

"We're idiots. Brain dead morons! We were only looking at the crew on the mission…not the guy who drove them to the location" Fitz explained.

"Let's go take this guy down then" Ward said, taking his night-night gun out.

"Fitz, run to the lab and get us a Molotov cocktail ready, in case this doesn't work" Kayla advised him.

"But what about you guys?" Fitz cried.

"We'll be fine. Go, Fitz. Quick" Ward told him, as he nodded, running to the lab.

Kayla and Ward, quickly rounded the corner, spotting the guy stumbling forward, holding onto the wall.

"You're not looking so good" Ward shouted to him.

"Keep away!" The man screeched.

"We just want to help" Kayla insisted, bringing her gun out as they got closer.

The man suddenly whipped his head around, and starting sprinting towards them, as Ward pulled the trigger, shooting him right between the eyes. He went down to his knees immediately, before falling flat onto his face. He convulsed a few times before going still.

"Don't get too close" Kayla warned him, as Ward got closer to the body.

"Hands in the air!" A voice suddenly boomed from the end of the corridor.

Moments later, dozens of soldiers rushed towards them, their guns aimed directly at the pair. They must have heard the shot, Kayla thought to herself.

"He tried to attack us. Its okay. I only used a night-night gun" Ward informed them, as they both put their hands up.

"How'd you get one of those?" Daisy inquired, coming to the front of the group.

"Fitz gave it to us" Kayla admitted, as Daisy frowned.

"What the hell is going on?!" A voice shouted from behind them.

Both of them tried to keep the hatred off of their faces, as they saw Coulson approach them.

"He went crazy. There's something wrong with him" Kayla gritted out.

"Who is this guy?" Coulson asked Daisy.

"You don't know you're staff?" Ward accused.

"Only the important ones. Daisy?" Coulson insisted.

"He's our driver. He went on the last mission with the-" Daisy was cut off by Coulson.

"Classified" Coulson stated, knowing everyone was listening to the conversation.

"I thought you said this threat was contained" He spat at Daisy.

"I thought it was, Sir" Daisy replied.

"Get him to the Vault. Now" Coulson ordered her, as the man was carried away.

"What are you going to do with him?" Kayla queried.

"Do you not understand the word classified? Or are you that stupid?" Coulson asked her.

"Hey!" Ward cried, shoving Coulson.

"I will have your badge for that, son" Coulson warned him.

"Don't you dare call me that, you bastard" Ward insisted, shoving him again, against the wall.

"W…Mason! Stop!" Kayla cried, almost messing up.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Coulson questioned, dusting himself off.

"Sir, I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it. She's his ex, I'm sure he was just-" Daisy started, but Kayla cut her off.

"Wait, how do you know that?" Kayla questioned.

"I read up on you too. And it's pretty obvious" Daisy replied.

"Hey, do me a favor and stay out of this?" Ward told her.

"I'm trying to save your ass here, you idiot" Daisy shouted.

"I don't want anything from you" Ward stated.

"And what exactly have I done to piss you off?" Daisy asked.

"Oh, sorry. I forgot how innocent you are. You can never put a foot wrong can you?" Ward went on.

"You don't even know me!" Daisy cried, lunging forward to punch him.

"Skye, stop it!" Kayla shouted, getting in between the two.

"How…how do you know my name?" Daisy frowned.

"Oh my God" Kayla gasped, suddenly realising something.

"What?" Ward questioned.

"He was already dead…his eyes wouldn't be black if he wasn't! He was faking it!" Kayla exclaimed, rushing towards the vaults.

Author's Notes: I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! I'm updating a day early again, as I'm going to check out my University accommodation tomorrow. I think we see here that Ward still has a lot of pent up rage at his old team. And if you're confused with what happened, basically when Ward shot the guy with the night-night gun, he was already dead, so the gun really had no effect on him and he was faking it the whole time. Please leave a review:)

Koos: Yeah, Kayla does seem to have trouble with slipping up, doesn't she? I'd say that's because she was never an actual agent, so she doesn't have as much experience as the others do. Lincoln's not very happy with the Inhuman treatment, but he loves Daisy, and she's not going anywhere. Maybe Kayla will be able to change her mind? Thanks for the review:)
