She made it to the vault's before anyone else did, and wasn't surprised by what she saw. Three guards were already dead on the floor, and the fourth one seemed to be next. She saw the man from before reaching towards the soldier with his hand, and killed him. She raised her own hand, and managed to still his movements. The man looked towards her sharply. She tried to push him back, but she only managed to make him slowly slide backwards. The creature inside was far stronger than anything Kayla had faced before. Suddenly the man let out a gurgling sound, which Kayla realized was supposed to be a laugh. Growing angry, she kicked out with her leg, using her telekinesis to this time, push him to the far side wall. She then rushed to the tablet in the middle of the room and put the barrier up. At this moment, Ward, Daisy and Coulson all rushed in, not having seen her powers in action.

"What the hell is going on?" Coulson yelled.

"He's dead…the creature inside his body murdered him" Kayla panted, putting her hands to her legs and leaning down.

"Hey, are you okay?" Ward asked, noticing how exhausted Kayla was.

"Yeah, I'm good" She replied, shooing away his worrying hands.

"But…he flew us back. He was fine!" Daisy insisted.

"He was probably already dead. I'm sorry" Kayla explained.

"How do you know so much about this?" Coulson inquired, suspicious.

"…I heard about these attacks and…researched them. It's just a guess" Kayla shrugged.

"Good…guess" A voice hissed from behind the barrier.

Everyone felt goosebumps erupt over their skin, as they turned to the voice. The man was staring directly at Kayla, his head tilted.

"Did it just…you said he was dead?!" Daisy cried.

"It's not him talking, it's the thing" Kayla stated.

"That's not…very polite…" He stuttered, gurgling on his words.

"Having a bit of trouble speaking?" Ward asked.

"Of course…I made…him swallow his tongue…bloody…" He trailed off, spitting blood out of his mouth.

Everyone cringed at this, thinking of how it was a horrible way to go.

"Why? Why are you here?" Kayla queried.

"I'm not going to tell you…of our plans…so you can find a way…to stop us" He spat out.

"We?" Daisy picked up on.

"We are many" He went on.

"Where do you come from?" Kayla questioned.

"The Diviners" He replied.

"What do you mean?" Daisy frowned.

"We were trapped in the diviners…some of us found…a way out" He informed them.

"So…you're in all the Inhumans? You're connected?" Daisy theorized.

"We are the dust that…comes out of a diviner when opened…it is usually harmless" He exclaimed, as Daisy remembered the dust she was covered by when she went down to the tombs.

"Usually?" She asked.

"We reacted with an Inhuman…she absorbed us…we escaped" He stated.

"Kayla" Coulson spat out.

Kayla gulped, as she looked directly at the man. He tilted his head towards her, a frown on his face. He must have quickly connected the dots and realized that they didn't know who she was. She noticed Ward place his hand on his night night gun, ready to attack if their secret was revealed.

"Yes" The man said, simply.

"What do you want?" Ward inquired.

"All of you" The man informed them.

"What do you mean?" Kayla frowned.

"Everyone. We will have…everyone" He spat out, advancing towards the barrier.

"There's no way in hell you're getting through that barrier, so why don't you back up" Coulson warned him.

With a sickening smile, the man's hand suddenly turned into a shadowy form of itself, and went through the barrier.

"Crap, everyone out!" Kayla shouted, ushering them out the room.

When she looked back, the man had gone back to his usual form and was through the barrier. Coulson was the first out of the door, with Daisy following close behind. Once they were out the door, Kayla used her telekinesis in an attempt to stop him from approaching. They came to a stale mate, as Kayla wasn't able to push the man back, but he couldn't get closer either. However, she couldn't keep this up for long and could feel her grip already slipping.

"Get out of here" She panted to Ward.

"Not without you" He replied.

With one last push, she managed to shove the man towards the opposite wall, and grabbed Ward's hand. She pulled him through numerous doors, trying to find the lab they hoped Fitz would be in.

"Hey! What's happening?" Fitz called over to them.

"He's coming. We need that Molotov" Kayla insisted.

"Do you have another of those?" Ward inquired, as Fitz passed it to Kayla.

"It's the only one. You better not miss" Fitz warned her.

"Don't worry, I got this" She stated.

Suddenly there was a bang from the other side of the room, as the man burst through the doors. Kayla saw this as he opportunity and threw the Molotov cocktail towards him. Her eyes widened, when he caught the bottle right before it reached his chest. With a smirk, he threw it towards the corner of the room, where it burst into flames.

"Oh bloody hell" Fitz cursed.

Kayla raised her arm again, but this time, she used her telekinesis to break the man's leg. He fell to the floor instantly, but only a second later was up again and limping towards them. She did this to his other leg, in the hope of slowing him down, but he simply went into his shadow form, and approached them quicker.

"Fitz, run!" Ward shouted, pushing the scientist out of the room.

However, this had put him in the creature's line of sight. Kayla saw how the shadow's hand reached towards him, and leapt forward. She grabbed the creatures hand, shocking everyone. She had scrunched her eyes shut when she had done this, expecting to instantly be killed. When she wasn't she opened them, and saw the creature had tilted his head, seemingly confused by this action. On instinct, Kayla pushed her hand into the creature's chest, who let out a cry. Suddenly it seemed to dissolve and was pulled into Kayla. Ward had watched this interaction in shock, amazed that Kayla was still alive. Once the last tendrils of the shadow had been absorbed into Kayla's hand, she clenched it into a fist.

"Kayla?" Ward asked, unsurely, but got no reply.

She was still staring at her hand, a blank look on her face. Ward reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder, as she whipped around the look at him. Her dark expression instantly softened when she saw him.

"I…I'm fine…" She stuttered.

"How did you do that?" Ward frowned.

"I don't know" She replied.

Suddenly she felt dizzy and her vision began to blur. Ward seemed to realize what was happening and caught her before she could fall to the ground.
