A/N:

@michiko-chan27: Haha. Fon will get his on the next chapter. I can't sit still if I don't scramble their arrangement. I mean a lot of you thought Fon or Skull would be the first since they visited Tsuna first or someone else, like Colonnello when he helped Tsuna. It just felt right when they visit here and there, and you won't know who will be the contractor until they ask for it or Tsuna does.

Ps. True.

So, I'm gonna drop this here first before I post another one later tonight (midnight). I'm kinda pumped since Taylor Swift's Cardigan is in my head as a LSS. I need to do something to at least distract me from the song. I'm craving to hear it again.

Anyway. Go on. Onwards.

Chapter Forty-Two

"Jii-jii."

Ietsuna immediately craned his neck to see Tsuna rigidly standing at his side. He immediately closed the book he just finished reading and stood up when he saw the look on the young brunet's eyes.

The grave look and dull eyes.

It was the intuition working again. Since Tsuna was a child, his intuition has been powerful that it can predict things. Tsuna suffered a lot of headaches because of it, but still able to warn his family about the danger that were impending to end them from natural disasters to human and demon assaulter alike.

But this time... It looked really serious. The way Tsuna's eyes twitch and his mouth pursed in a tight line. Ietsuna flipped off the pillow cases of the sofa to take his gear from there. It's composed of knives, some papers for binding and a gun. He has to be ready, especially when he's old now and retired. He can't let himself be in trouble. If possible, stay away from the trouble and defend himself when needed.

"Call your summons, Tsuna. You'll need them." The blond advised to the brunet.

"... Call? But why? It's not just us, Jii-jii. It's the whole Namimori that is in danger." The child questioned, a little in daze. Probably experiencing a big migraine.

"That's the thing. You have to-"

Ietsuna stopped himself from talking farther as he thinks about what he was going to say. Tsuna maybe a summoner, but he's not good at leading. He maybe a sky, but he only got his contractors recently. Unlike him and Iemitsu, the brunet has no background in associating nor working with a large group of people. In a sense, the young man is new to something like this.

He suddenly wants to curse the academy and World Society. They should be teaching children, skies especially, how to lead. Push them to a group of people and make them lead a group. Ganauche had already told them that the skies they got were already old enough and wise enough to lead their own group, company even. But Tsuna isn't. He's young and wasn't brought up in a big family. He can't suddenly be thrusted into a situation that requires leading. If only he knew what to say or how to tell...

Wait.

"Tsuna." He called.

The daze look on the child broke off and usual brown eyes looked at him. "Yes?"

"You're a sky." Ietsuna said, earning a reluctant nod. "I may have not told you this, but you are a natural born leader. You're also part of the World Society although indirectly. Since you have your summons, you need to tell them what to do. Command them what's the best action to save the town of Namimori."

Tsuna's eyes widened in shock and fear. "B-But I'm not-"

"Tsuna." The old man called as he took the child's shoulders in both hands and stared at those expressive brown eyes. "You know you could do this. Ganauche told me how good you are with the prefect. And how the disciplinary committee respect you. And your summons are your friends. They'll willingly help you get through."

"Jii-jii."

"I believe in you." He said in a soft whisper.

The young man stared at him with uncertainty before he closed his eyes for a sec. When he opened them, they were orange with determination. "I will call Bermuda, I want you to get Tousan and Kaasan."

Ietsuna smiled. "Yes."

Tsuna didn't have to call when a portal suddenly appeared by the door and the Arcobaleno except Fon and Reborn arrived. He ignored how his stomach churned at the thought of the sun arcobaleno arriving. He faced them just as his grandpa went to gather the rest of the family. The six summons looked at him curiously.

In all honestly, he doesn't know how to do this. He was good with the DC of Saint Academy, but that was it. It was Kyouya who usually rely his orders to them. He was bad with people. As what Verde phrased it, socially awkward. But his Jii-jii believes him, so he will do his best for the sake of his family.

"In a matter of seconds, Namimori will get destroyed." Tsuna started off, looking at his summons one by one in the eyes. "All I want you to do is evacuate the civilians. I hate this feeling but, I know I need to get them out of here. If you can, create a panic to force them out of their homes then get them to safety."

"Yes!" They affirmed.

He looked at Viper. "Stay here, I need you to rely messages to the low level demons in the town. It's best to have their assistance."

The Mist nodded. "Okay."

"Tsu-kun?" Tsuna looked up to see Nana descending the stairs with the other three. "What's going on-"

Tsuna immediately put a hand to the rest of the couch to catch his balance when the ground trembled a little. His groaned when a sudden hard spike of pain attacked his head and rang through to his head. At some point, it intensified, causing him to his knees and ignore the bad earthquake that shook the entire house.

'Danger...'

'... Coming...'

'... Sin...'

'... Mist.'

"Tsuna?!"

"Tsu-kun!"

"Sin." He crooked, eyes shut down.

"Shit."

"This can't be!"

Tsuna opened an eye and looked at his summons who were staring at the ceiling, or the sky rather. "Who a-among them?"

"Pride." Skull uttered soft yet gravely.

His body ran cold.

"I'll put you to safety." Verde volunteered as he walked towards the three Sawada.

Tsuna put a hand on his forehead. His mind keeps on ringing, alerting him about something... Something he can't comprehend, still he started to ask questions. Why is Pride in here? How come he's awake? What happened? Are the other sins already awake? Ira didn't say anything, did he?

No.

Ira won't tattle about him. It will probably Lust. But what of it? The sins won't bother him. He's just a human. They'll think that he's just Wrath's toy, entertainment or something, and Lust wanted him to die because he can make Ira happy.

But why show up? Aren't they on a secret move? They should be sleeping like what Verde and Fon had told him. And if they were awake, they should be hiding and plotting. And why Namimori of all places?

"How far Tsuna?" He looked up to see Bermuda asking him, ready to make a portal.

"Five towns away from here." The young man replied, making his intuition hum in approval. "Keep them safe, Verde. And never let any of them get caught by Pride."

"Yes. There might be a possibility-" Lal stopped on what she was about to say and looked at Tsuna who had his eyes wide. "What?"

"I-I-" The brunet immediately stood up and looked at his grandfather. "Oh my God. Oh my God."

"Tsuna." Iemitsu called, trying to calm down the panicking child.

A cry of help was heard outside before a loud sound from a distant was heard. Tsuna looked at his summons and nodded. Lal, Colonnello and Skull disappeared, leaving them.

"What do you mean?" Nana asked, worried for her son.

"There's a possibility that he's here for me." Tsuna said and met their gazes, own eyes are panicking. "I want you to stay away from here as much as possible and as far as you could. If you can put them at the World Society headquarter, do it Bermuda."

"What about you, Tsuna?" Iemitsu questioned. "We can't just leave you here! I'm an exorcist too!"

"Dad. I have summons." He tried to mollify with reason. "They'll take me out when I need to. Jii-jii is old, Kaasan is a civilian. I need you there and Verde to protect them. I don't know what Pride can do, but I have to be careful if he's really after me."

The patriarch's expression contorted to defiance before nodding in defeat, knowing his son was right.

"If my hunch is right, I want you to return home alright, Tsuna?" Ietsuna sternly said, green eyes held expectation of his arrival later. "I don't want you to be killed by one of the seven sins. You did not especially tell me how close you are with Wrath."

"But we are close!" Tsuna argued, a little offended. "Ira will never tell me to anyone. And they'll also think that I'm just his toy if they get a word or if he did say anything about me."

"Then what do you think is Pride here for?"

"I don't know." He answered before sighing in defeat. "Please. Just go."

"Be careful, Tsu-kun." Nana bid softly before they disappeared in the portal with Verde.

"I'll try." The brunet mumbled before running for the front door, his remaining summons in tow.

Namimori, in general, is in chaos. Some houses were burning, trees have fallen, and people were running everywhere. Demons, ranging from low, semi and high levels, were destroying everything in there paths, tearing humans and animals straying in their ways. Explosions were heard in different places of the town.

And the master mind was just sitting on the chair of the Mayor, the human leader pinned by his throat, dead at his back like a display picture.

Pride smiled as he listened to the screams of terror flooding the whole air of the town. In his shame, it took him a week to find the Sky who acquired at least half of his element. And to his surprise, he only needed one more to complete his set. This agitated and impressed him at the same time. The human was quick, too bad his effort will be wasted.

He mused himself of how his lord will be so happy to know that he killed the possible threat to their existence. He even had the opportunity to release his demons like the old times. They must have been bored for millennia of inactivity. Shall he kill the summons of the filthy sky too? It will be nice to kill them too to become a warning to all living demons of 'Fiant' not to be rush.

His mind went back to his petty argument with Lust, Envy and Greed. His face morphed into irritation as he remembered what those three said about Wrath being stronger than him. He was the strongest. Even the creatures of past attested to it. No one could defy him nor tell him off. All of them obey his every command, fear him and praise him. So how come that insolent little fool out powers him? Spontaneously outrageous.

Pride blinked his coal eyes when he noticed the lack of loudness. He stood up and went for the window. He looked at the town that is slowly getting quiet. With narrowed eyes, he walked for the door.

"It must have moved." He uttered in distaste.

Tsuna stepped sideways to dodge the punch and took the arm before arm throwing the semi-demon. He grinned when the demon flew off and took down another of his level. Skull, who happened to see this, cracked up. Lal smacked the Cloud's head for having the audacity to laugh at a serious moment before shooting more demons to sent to Fiant.

They had been at it for the past forty minutes. The other side's demons are slowly lowering in number as the Arcobaleno kept on shooting them down to send to Fiant. Though Tsuna doesn't want any of the demons get critically hit, he can't help but agree with his summons when they told him that it was the only way back except for Bermuda's portals. He doesn't want to strain the Night, so he complied.

Admittedly, he can't risk his contractors too. Regardless of how fine they seem to be, he can still see the strain of the battle affecting them. They're movements become slower and they're panting. Even him was having a difficult time catching his breathe. He just hopes Pride left them so they can finish this up and rest even for awhile.

"Fon? Why are you here?" Tsuna looked back to see Viper helping Fon from one of the demons that were ganging up on the Storm.

"I thought you need help." The Storm answered as he sent a high demon to the air with a storm induced kick.

"He's been at it after Tsuna got almost hit by that fucked up beam." Colonnello informed.

The brunet winced all of his summons growled at the memory of him almost dying. Good thing Bermuda was able to teleport him on the demon so he could smash the attacker to oblivion.

"What?!" Fon shouted as he disintegrated a demon that was in his grasp.

"Ops." The Rain sheepishly interjected before knocking out a demon.

The young man laughed a little. "Relax Fon, it only happened once."

"Yeah right." Skull muttered before crashing two demons with his hands. "Remember that one semi trying to choke you with a scythe? We had to break that one because he won't let you go."

"Or when you saw a laser beam targetting Lal, so you pushed her out of the way and ended up almost dying if you didn't dodge on time." Viper added on.

"Or that building collapsing on you, and Skull had to pull you out before any of the mass demons can even think of getting away from the site." Lal supplied, putting wood to the fire.

"At least I took out a hundred." Tsuna mumbled as he put a head shot on someone attacked Bermuda.

"Guys. Give Tsuna a break." Colonnello sighed as he ran to the brunet and tug him away from demon flying towards the human's direction. "I think you need to calm Fon down."

Tsuna looked at the storm who has a grim expression on and glared at the Rain. "You think?"

Colonnello was about to say something when they heard a shout of help. It was Tsuna who ran immediately, unable to stop himself since his body moved without him knowing. It's like he was being called to get in there. He sprinted and knocked down a lot of demons attacking him. He growled at them when they seem to get plenty as he knock down one or two before taking out a binding paper. He slapped it in the air, and with a quick chant of one higher grade exorcising spell, he made every demon trapped inside the dome barrier combust.

When the brunet ran to the place where the shout of help came from, his blood ran cold. Underneath the pile of rubble was Kaori Bovino, and Lambo was trying to help Ryohei lift the beam that pressing down the woman. Thankfully, Fon was with him and helped him assist Ryohei in taking out the wood.

When the lady was out, Tsuna immediately searched for any signs of life. His breath almost stopped when he realized that nothing was beating. Reigning himself a little, he called out Bermuda in his mind as he instructed Ryohei what to do. The last thing he remembered doing was kissing the crying Lambo's head before he blacked out.

Tsuna stopped.

Fon saw how the child went rigid after learning that the female human was dead. It was far worse when the small kid and his contractor went through the portal, because the brunet went completely blank. His eyes were dull, face expressionless and he looked like dead.

The storm arcobaleno's eyebrows furrowed. Was this Tsuna's first time seeing a dead human? Well, technically, it might be since demons don't die. They reincarnate either in hell or in human form after getting accepted in heaven.

The dull eyes continued to stay there. The Chinese demon moved closer to see any signs of waking up. As he stared at them, he suddenly remembered those humans he once gave service. Those dull eyes caused by selfishness, grief, hate, pain and unbearable understanding. The same eyes he sees whenever one dies out of negative emotions and not by peace.

"Tsuna." He called softly.

No answer.

His brows furrowed deeper. "Tsuna, come on."

Nothing.

"Tsuna." He called, taking the child's shoulders in his hands. He can't help getting worried and panicky when the brunet never seemed to see him with his dull dark brown eyes. "Tsuna. Hey."

Nothing.

"Tsuna... Tsuna. Wake up. You need to wake up. The other Arcobaleno are fight and Pride might show up." He begged, still staring at the child's unresponsive eyes. "Tsuna? Please."

"Fon...?"

"Yes yes!" Fon replied immediately, hope flattering in his heart. "Come for me? Please. Wake up for me. You're needed here, child. Death is inevitable but her child needs you. The Arcobaleno need you."

Brown eyes became a little clearer. "Fon?"

"I'm here, Tsuna." He breathed.

"Hey. Don't panic." The brunet assured, a hand was put on the Storm's cheek, caressing it softly. "I'm okay. Thank you."

Fon sighed a relief before he went down to his knees. He did not know what came in to him. When he remembered those eyes... He can't just let those vibrant eyes go. Those brown eyes that gives him mischief and a sense of accomplishment. Those eyes that made him so worried about the future for the owner.

Even though he knew how to handle human, he's still clueless about emotions. It has been millennia since he acquainted himself with humans. He might know what Tsuna thinks and feels, but that doesn't mean he remembers what to do in those emotion. He doesn't even know why he's so worried about the brunet when the human has seven summons on his back.

When he heard from Reborn that the Arcobaleno poured out of the house, and from Viper that Namimori was under attack by the vainglory, his worry skyrocketed. He just knew the newly awakened sins are after Tsuna, one way or another. Of course, he cannot accept the fact that Wrath has taken an acute interest on the young man. Who wouldn't? But that doesn't mean the sin is still safe for the human. Whether they like it or not, Wrath is still the reason why the Human world got reformed into Mundane world.

Ah. That's right. It was the Sins that made Fon so worried about the little Sky. The fact that Tsuna was researching about them and preparing for possible battle rattled him to the core. It's as if the brunet already knew that something will happen and he'll have to face it alone. The gnawing feeling of wanting to help the human made him worried to the extent that he can't help consulting Verde of what they could do.

Or was it just him who was worried?

"Fon? Are you okay?" The young man asked.

"Yeah." The Storm sighed then looked at the child who has his fingers on the demon's forehead. "What are you doing?"

"Removing the worries. It's not like you to be worried." The human responded.

Fon frowned further. "I wonder who caused that."

"Hey. At least it wasn't my fault that Pride went up here to do something. If it was Ira, I could've at least convinced him to destroy other places."

The demon pondered about that thought. It was probable since Wrath never do any destructive things around Tsuna. He sighed in the end. "Sorry. I was over thinking."

"You've been worried since that time I told you about my meeting with Ira, right?" Tsuna asked, sheepish. "Add on Lust's indirect attack, then now Pride. I understand, Fon. And I should be the one apologizing since I was the one who caused you to be that stressed out."

"It can't be helped, Tsuna. Friends worry about their friends. It's a given duty once we associate ourselves to you." The Storm dismissed.

"Say, how about we do a contract?" The Chinese demon gaped at the child who obliviously smiled at him. "A compensation for all the start I caused to you."

"Tsuna-"

"I know what I said to you that day, Fon." The brunet cut off whilst kneeling in front of the demon. "But we have an equivalent exchange now. Just now, Skull and Colonnello pointed out how angry and surprised you were about my welfare when in fact, you're calm and collected to most of them. Mammon told me how worried you were when he told you about Lust, and how you asked about my state whenever he goes back from my side. And other than him, you also understand me the most when it comes to my silence. You leave me alone when I'm busy and you really did think hard of what you can give me as a good cause for our contract."

"Then what can I give you?" He asked.

"Your balance." The child took the demon's hand and put it on his chest. Fon's eyes widened when he felt the strong and fast heart beat of the child. "I'm able to keep my panic in control because I know you'll protect me with or without a deal. I too wear a mask like Skull. But I'm too scared for my life and the Arcobaleno's lives. Your calmness made me hang on. It balances my own worry and panic. And I thank you for that. It's like you're just an epitome of control and peace despite the fact that you're destructive in nature."

Fon hesitated. "Are you sure?"

"About damn time." The two perked up when Colonnello landed beside them. The Rain gave an excited smirk. "With you, Tsuna will have a complete set, kora."

Viper materialized behind the human and eyed them. "Commence with the contract. We'll keep you alive."

"Ah." Tsuna perked up before beaming. "Verde and I wanted to know if the cylindrical shield is really a shield. So, wanna test it out as we do our contract?"

Fon can't help himself from chuckling. "Sure."
