@michiko-chan27: Oho. HAHAHA! Glad you liked it. I didn't plan that entrance though. It just went out of my mind while I was writing it. Good thing it went right with the chapter. About your speculation on the Sins of what will happen to them if they get exorcised, I can't answer that right now. Sorry. I so want to spoil you but I know you don't want me to even if it's so tempting. So bear with me. And honestly, when I realized that this book I made is ending, I also teared up. It's my first AU baby. Hahaha! A book I wrote that was so different from the usual KHR plot where Tsuna became a mafia boss and something. If I'm gonna post another book, I'll probably go for more of family. I can't nail pairings, even if I'm a big fan of R27. I'm probably designed for All27 or something like selectedAll27.

Chapter Fifty-Six

Tsuna surveyed the whole floor. It was in chaos, like Reborn's greeting and favorite word to use. His eyes flickered to four of his demons in their demon forms, lingering on Reborn's, then to the Sins. They were equally battered. He upped the sky aura in their systems, making his summons relax and calm. He mentally nodded a 'good' with a small wince.

His aura is pretty high even if the pacifier he noticed wearing is keeping it from fluctuating. Not that he can stop it from growing. Even that container has a limit. His bedridden body cannot keep up too. He doesn't even know how many days he was out. He just know he was in bed all the while because he felt so restricted and weak. Good thing he has his summons.

"You're awake!" A blue eyed Sin cheered with a big grin. 'Sloth.' his mind registered. "I've been waiting for you to open your eyes! You were so out of it that I considered taking you with me!"

Tsuna dipped his head a little for a greeting. "Nice to meet you too. Thank you for the visit."

Everyone, except the Sins, had their jaws drop.

"I assume you're here to finish Belial's job of eliminating me?" Tsuna questioned with a tilt of his head.

"Oh. Did he?" Greed queried. "We didn't know such plan exist."

Tsuna made an 'o' with his mouth. "You weren't invited then? So why are you here and running chaos in my territory?"

Everyone stepped back when his eyes flashed dangerously orange. That sign is never good.

"I want to take you to my den!" Sloth answered cheerfully, unaffected from the wave of anger that came and went. "You look so important that a lot wants you. Important things should be kept close right? So I thought I should take you!"

Bermuda and Skull glared at Sloth.

"I'm gonna make you my trophy." Greed announced in a maliciously dreaming way.

Lal and Viper shifted dangerously.

"Skies are delicious." Gluttony salivated at the thought as he stared at Tsuna with hungry eyes. "You look like you're tasty. You're even nimble. I like that. It means your legs are tasty. Are you lungs really expandable? They're probably soft."

Fon bristled as Colonnello crouched down to touch the floor and slug the Sin to unconsciousness.

"I want to kill you." Envy declaimed, taking all of them by surprise, sans Tsuna who nodded in understanding. "I want to kill you for taking Wrath's attention when you shouldn't have. I want to kill you for taming him when he has to be uncontrollable, when he has to be insane so they won't see him worthy anymore. I want to kill you for gaining Pride's and Lust's attentions. Even Belial's attention. I want to kill you for being a sky. For compromising our situation when we can already taste our freedom. I want to kill you for being a human. And I want to kill you for making me wait."

Silence.

"Devastation." A baritone voice whispered in the wind.

Tsuna and Kyouya interjected a 'wow' when holes appeared on all Sins' bodies. All four struggled on their feet, gasping for air with the sudden attack.

'Bermuda.' He called in their mindscape.

'T-Tsunayoshi.' The Night gasped, almost surprised but fully relieved.

Tsuna watched Envy stand up. 'When I say open, you open a portal and land us up here, okay?'

Kyouya shifted away when Sloth tried to reach him.

'Mammon, open Hell at the same time I say the signal for Bermuda. Use my aura as a booster.' He instructed, eyes trained on the Sins.

'Okay.' The two replied.

"T-That-"

"Yo." He called out to cut off Greed, taking all four's attentions. He gave them a taunting grin. "You want a piece me, don't ya?"

"Tsuna." Hana warned.

"Then keep up." He said with a wink before sprinting for the edge of the rooftop and jumped down.

Both heard the panicked cries of their allies when they jumped. Hana yelped then kept her mouth shut as they descended. Tsuna maneuvered the both of them to face the sky and see the four Sins actually jump down to follow them. He tightened his hold on Hana who clung to him like a lifeline.

He watched as Envy and Greed tried to reach him first by swimming further in the air. He kept the smirk on his lips before giving one of his best smiles.

'Open.' He said. He felt the air ripple below them.

"Oi-" Greed shouted.

"Arrivederci." He bid before he got swallowed by Bermuda's portal as the Sins were by Viper's warp for Hell.

Tsuna shouted a startled cry when he felt himself falling from the sky before strong arms caught them. He grinned at Colonnello who beamed at him. Slowly, he got settled down to the floor. Hana was taken by Nagi and Enma. He looked around and waved at the approaching Arcobaleno. He took a deep breathe before pumping more sky flames and tugged Colonnello to flood them all some rain flames.

"Calm down." Tsuna said in a calm tone. "I bungee jumped for safety purposes. And like I said no one will die on my watch."

All of them sighed.

"Lal, Fon, Bermuda and Reborn. Please return to your human form. Or even animal form. I don't want them going insane." He asked nicely, gesturing his friends as the 'them'.

All changed to their animal forms except for Reborn.

"He's unstable, Tsuna." Verde whispered.

"How unstable?" He queried, peering at his lover.

"Envy talking about killing you is a bad match to him." The Lightning informed. "I don't even know if he recognizes half of us. With the way he hadn't crushed you in a hug, I think he's thinking that you're just a contractor or something."

Nodding, Tsuna tried to push himself from the floor. Skull was kind enough to put the blanket around his shoulders to warm him up a little. He was cold. He signaled Kyouya to pull the others away and smiled at Enma with reassurance as Mochida took Adelheid in his arms again.

He focused his gaze on the demon in front of him. Reborn is tantalizing. The way he extended his demon wings looked so beautiful. Terrifyingly exquisite under the light of the sun. His fedora was gone and replaced by his horns. He likes the carvings personally. He wants to touch them, trace them and inspect them. Yet, Tsuna stood by the barrier and stared at the flying demon, he didn't command anything while searching something at those onyx eyes. He can't risk offending his demon.

"Reborn." He called, soft and soothing.

The demon inclined his head to the left.

Tsuna sighed in mixed exasperation and fondness. "It's me, Tsuna."

The others gasped as no recognition crossed the demon's features.

He closed his eyes for a moment before opening them and stared at those abyss ones. "Fly."

And fly he did.

"Bermuda, drop me above Reborn." He commanded.

A panther's purr of agreement resounded.

Tsuna tipped himself to the portal on his left and went down from sky high. Wind hit him hard as gravity pulled him with its own might. He kept his back from facing the sky as he descended though. He likes how close he is to the sky even though it's so far away within his grasps.

He wonders why he's a sky even. Why he has to be the only human in the Arcobaleno. How come he got selected as such. Why can't he be a cloud like Kyouya? Why such burden got placed on his shoulders when he was so sure he will sacrifice himself for a demon's safety a year before.

Heck. Why didn't he asked Kawahira about this awhile ago?

He raised his hand to watch his literal counterpart go farther away from him. It's like he's trying to either catch the sky or wave it goodbye. Then he straightened his body to look down to see his mission. He watched as Reborn's demon form approach him. Like a standstill, their eyes met. He gave a smirk as they ran past each other. Tsuna stretched his hand towards Reborn, and before he knew it, he was dangling in mid-air.

He was hoist up and got pushed into a warm body. He looked up to see black eyes, staring down at him. Tsuna hummed as he thought of a way to make Reborn get released from his demon and get a grasp of his reality. He's obviously not in for normal way like calling his name and make him remember certain things they did. Thinking more outside the box, he put a hand on one shoulder and the other to cup the demon's cheek before leaning forward.

His lips met the other's in a soft touch. The arms around his waist tightened and pushed him more to the body in front of him. Tsuna reluctantly closed his eyes and moved his lips in an unsure manner. He's not good at this okay?! A chuckle resounded, making him embarrassed, as a hand snaked to his cheek and the lips against his moved, slowly guiding him on what to do.

There was a couple of seconds before they did the next step. A soft tongue licked his bottom lip, asking for access, and he granted such wish. A slick tongue entered his mouth and mapped the inside. He shivered when he felt that delicious tongue caress that one sensitive tooth then uncontrollably moaned when it massaged his own. He tried to push for dominance. The hand resting on the other's cheek moved to go around the nape and pushed more to get his own taste. He growled when the other let him have his way, but he readily accepted the permission.

Tsuna parted from the hitman, panting at the lack of oxygen. Being excited made him held his breath. God. He was only thinking outside the box, but when Reborn responded positively, he couldn't help it. He opened his eyes and looked straight at Reborn's. He smiled when he saw the familiar emotion of love, appreciation and recognition.

"Hey." He greeted casually.

"Hi." The demon greeted back. "What happened?"

"You succumbed to your demon form." Tsuna shrugged. "Good thing we have Bermuda express. What's the last thing you remember anyway?"

"You jumped out of the rooftop with Hana and the Sins followed you."

The brunet laughed. "And I jumped out again from the very top of the sky. It was one heck of a skydive."

"Why can't you do something normal for once?" His lover lamented.

"Did you meet me in a normal way?"

Reborn made a contemplative face. "No."

"Then no."

"Good point." The hitman nodded before smiling a little. "Wanna go down?"

Tsuna shrugged. "Yeah. I just woke up anyway."

"Hm... Yes you did. You have to get a full check up from Verde after this."

"And you need to go back to your human form. Though," Tsuna pushed back a little, skimmed the demon from head to chest and smirked appreciatively. "I like this form."

Reborn laughed out loud. "Thank you."

After taking a good hold on him, Reborn dived down. Tsuna watched in fascination when the small academy from the air slowly began to come close. He didn't even know that they're flying that fast if his Sun didn't flap his wings to stop them from crashing and smoothly glide to the side and stop right in front of his window. Viper had it opened and helped him inside before Reborn shuffled in with his naked form. Tsuna looked away with a blush from the hitman and handed his blanket.

"Is there something to be embarrassed about?" Reborn question with his very infamous smirk.

Viper chuckled as he levitated away from the two.

"Other than I don't see you often in your birthday suit, you don't see me in it either. So yeah. It's embarrassing." Tsuna answered as he latched a hand on Lal's arm and went for the bed. "Argh. I honestly did not miss my bed."

"Of course. You've been laying there for too long." Skull replied in a matter-of-fact tone. He's sitting at the foot of the bed and looked so resigned.

"Come on." Tsuna invited as he fell on the bed. "Sleep beside me. Of course, Reborn is on the other side. Let's do all the check up and shit giving after we're okay."

"Aren't you hungry or thirsty?" Bermuda queried as he laid furthest from the brunet. Skull settled on the human's left, knowing Reborn is on the right.

Tsuna groaned as he pushed his face on the pillow and acknowledged Reborn who slid beside him. 'No. I just want to rest. I want us to rest.'

"I want to disagree, but Tsunayoshi is right." Verde voiced out as he settled at the foot of the bed, replacing Skull from his vacated spot. "It has been a long day, our auras had been depleted and four of us have been in their staining demon forms."

"I second." Colonnello smiled tiredly and flopped beside Reborn. "I feel so damned. Fon getting angry is not a good thing for a rain like me."

"Fon got angry?!" Tsuna's voice held so much surprise as he raised his head a little to see Colonnello before looking at Fon who was laid beside Skull. "Good job, Fon!"

"That is not praise worthy." Reborn grumbled as he put the blanket on the brunet and fixed his shirt. "Storm and angry do not mix well."

"Sun and hitman do not mix well." Tsuna jabbed back, winking at the flattered Fon.

"Touché." Viper mumbled as he curled on Tsuna's leg.

"Now children." Lal said in her pseudo-calm-Fon voice. "Let's go to sleep. Talk shit later."

"Yes Mama-bear." Almost all of them said in unison.

Lal dosed them with heavy rain aura after (Tsuna laughed it off because it never really affects him and slept on his own).

"That's basically what we talked about." Tsuna finished off, eyes surveying the whole Arcobaleno.

They're inside his room like always. They settled there after their agreement of wash up and come back to patch everyone up. They even helped Adelheid remove Sloth's rain aura from her system (it was just Viper and Colonnello though. Lal wanted to take part but Verde shook his head because the Mist-rain might not be stable with her aura. So either she could help or get it more dangerous.). Enma kept on crying and thanking him while hugging the death of him. He could only laugh because seriously, he didn't do anything (the others disagree though).

After checking on Hana (she almost gave him a lot of head bumps for being so reckless, that he was able to reduce to three, and a death hug for being brash that he laughed away), Kyouya (he cooed when his little brother hugged him the moment he stepped in with a greeting. The Arcobaleno only smiled at how cute they were), Mukuro and Nagi (they weren't hurt. They even wanted to make him a bait so they could call at least one sin to play with. He readily agreed that the Arcobaleno said 'no' at), and Mochida-sempai (he was hugged to death too and scolded for not talking to him. He was wincing and making 'shh' sound to his sempai when the latter ranted about his mood two months ago. But well, he did have a point). He also checked on the teachers and the higher heads before running to his room (he had enough with Hana, Kyouya and Mochida. He was laughing though when Nezu-sensei only gave him a noogie and a hug for being alive and awake).

He was briefed of what happened to him after they found him. Even the sudden disappearance of their contracts and symbols (they dismissed it as a phenomenon that only the nine of them experienced and only Tsuna can do). He smiled at the dried flower his summons have preserved for him to see the gifts from his teachers. They were put in an album with their notes. He was also informed of those people who visited him. Especially that little stunt Fon and Reborn pulled on Madam Cara (he was laughing and whizzing at the lack of air, slapping his thigh whenever Skull makes Madam Cara's 'frightened' face. Nope. She deserves that).

In exchange, he relied what he and the 'sacrificers' have talked about. What Kawahira said, what he did to Giotto and what he talked about with Tizia. He said good things about Luce, which was true cause if Luce didn't do what she thought was right, he won't meet them. Thankfully, they barely interrupted him as he retell them the things they needed to do. And now, he's just waiting for their responses. He just couldn't get past to the thought that their talk in that space took two months. What kind of space time difference was that?!

"So we need to do an experiment to test the theories?" Verde inquired with a push of his glasses. He looked so snug in his lab gown. He did voice his grudge against Envy for destroying his gown.

"But we already saw the result in Namimori." Lal pointed out. "We fought Pride. With Bermuda's portal, we were able to put scratches on him with our weapons. When Reborn got there, he put another load with his bullets. If Verde was there, we could've tested the theory and probably, in an accidental way, sealed Pride."

"Ops?" Skull whispered with a mock sheepish look that made Tsuna and Colonnello snicker.

Reborn hummed. "I think we need to really load them. Bullets only held a small portion of our auras so even if Tsuna does put his mark, that won't do."

"So what do you suggest?" Fon asked as he slipped his hands to his long sleeves. "It will be hard to capture them."

"Maybe do the same thing we did to Pride?" Bermuda provided. "Weaken him before we overload him."

"Just imagine Gluttony doing seizure because of overload." Fon mused as a sadistic smile broke through his lips. "Like we simultaneously dose them with our flames. They usually end up doing terrible seizure with all the cramps and whatnots."

Tsuna cringed at the mental image forming in his mind. "Shit. I imagined it."

"Hoo. I like that." Reborn nodded at Fon with a matching sadistic smile.

"Wait. Is it in his hungry state or full state?" Tsuna verified. All Arcobaleno went for hungry state. He imagined again and nodded. "Yup. Cringe worthy."

"So what's your plan?" Viper asked, red eyes going visible under the shadow of his hood.

Tsuna took a deep breath. "That's what I want to ask you. How do we do this?"

Verde smirked. "You're lucky you have us."

"I know." The brunet grinned.

They spent the whole next days planning. Although Tsuna was told to stay put for more days by Doctor Furikawa, the brunet couldn't resist walking around with at least a summon with him (they couldn't risk it again). Most of the time, he has the craziest plans. Some stupid ones. And there are decent flows too. Before they knew it, they have back-up plans for all back-up plan.

They have the greatest sky. Really.

But Reborn can't help wonder what really happened to Tsuna and Luce. It's not that Tsuna lied to them. He just suspects that there's more in the story than what their summoner let on. He's mostly like that. Secretive about confrontation. The sacrificers were updated about everything. If only he knew how the others felt so guilty of leaving him when he was the one got wronged. It took time for them to realize that it was their Sky's decision not to tell them anything.

"That's back up plan number twenty-three." Tsuna murmured while closing his notebook.

"That many?" Skull asked from his post on the floor.

"Or do you want me to name it W point two?" The brunet questioned, almost teasing.

"Yup. That much." The Cloud gave up with a flop on the floor.

"Tsuna." Reborn called as he sat on the bed, joining their Sky. Twinkling brown eyes looked to him, and he relished the sight for a sec before continuing. "What really happened between you and Luce?"

The Arcobaleno stilled and anticipated an answer. They've been curious about that for days. Thanks God Reborn is with them.

Tsuna leaned back to the pillows and let out a breathe. "We didn't start really well at first. I attacked Giotto and didn't really sit well with the fact that I'm seeing three of the deceased that shouldn't be hunting me. But we talked it out before I went back."

Silence.

"... What did you talk about?" Lal asked softly, curious.

"She wished she was a human when she met all of you." The brunet looked down to his notebook as the others looked at him in surprise. "So she could understand you and be the sky who could give you home. She felt guilty for the things she didn't do for you with your time together. Maybe it's because of the changes I'm doing for us. It's for better or for worse, you know. I can lift you up or destroy you. And I think she wanted to do that for you too. You did spend a millennium together and knew you better so it's understandable."

"But she's not you." Colonnello whispered.

Tsuna nodded. "She's not me." He smiled. "I told her that I once compared myself to her. Probably wanted to be her too."

"I'm sorry." Reborn apologized sincerely.

The brunet took the hitman's hand while placing the notebook to his side and shook his head. "It was understandable. Really. When I saw Luce, I felt intimidated. Giglio Nero skies are powerful. Pure through and through. It was no wonder you got attracted to her. And being compared to her and comparing myself to her were both privileges. I was able to see our differences.

"She lived long, while I have a wilting one. If it wasn't for her, I won't meet all of you. If she didn't follow her visions, I won't be with you. Heck, if she did do the solution five millennia ago, I don't even think I can snare either of you. Regardless of how she badly treats you, like leaving Mammon to his own devices or just letting Verde hole up in his room, you'll stay with her."

"But you're the powerful one between the two of you." Verde argued. "It shows. Statistically, figuratively and literally. Even if we're her elements, you could take all of us with just a simple conversation."

"Do you know what made her crave your presence?" Tsuna asked as he looked at them one by one. "Your loyalty."

They stilled. Frozen in shock as the word 'loyalty' sinks in their minds.

"I could have Bermuda as my summon since he'll still be a level one by then. He did jump to level eight because of me. But the rest of you? No. You'll stay with her through thick and thin. Your loyalty to her will never waver even if I charm you with my excellence and looks. Luce's hold on you was that strong. That's why I expressed my gratefulness for her effort to follow the future she wanted to come true.

"I'm not denying that I slapped her the fact that she followed the fate blindly and never tried to change anything. That I was able to make you come back together after she destroyed that relationship you had as friends. As a family that will help each other even under circumstances." Tsuna squeezed Reborn's hand and beamed. "I don't care if I sound selfish. To have all of you because of her sacrifice, to see you like this and have you mine. I won't let go even if you go to Aria and erase the contract between us."

"What will you do then?" Viper challenged.

"I'll make you crave home." Tsuna answered nonchalantly. "I'll make you crave all those times I spent with you. Those times we laughed, had fun, argued about silly things. Even those jokes we come up with out of nowhere. Those midnight disturbance I do to wake you up. You'll miss me and come back to me. No offense, but Giglio Nero Skies give protection. While Sawada family give home, and as we're at it, we give protection, warmth and the sense of belonging."

Fon put a hand on his heart and nodded with wide eyes. "He's right. I did feel that when the connection suddenly got cut."

"I felt empty." Verde murmured, eyes on the floor. "It was so empty. No warmth. No safety. I felt naked and useless."

"Aw." Tsuna cooed and moved to give the Lightning a hug.

"No! Don't Tsunayoshi!" Verde panicked as he backed away.

"But you need a hug!" The brunet argued as he scooted.

Verde scooted too far, causing him to fall off the bed. Tsuna laughed evilly and dropped himself on the scientist. Skull groaned in pain, obviously on the bottom of the dog pile but hugged the two from Verde's back. The remaining Arcobaleno laughed when the Lightning's face went red. Tsuna made it more worse when he snuggled on the other's chest.

Reborn sighed and smiled a little, mind still wondering to what had been discussed. If he did meet Tsuna while Luce was alive, what will he do?
