Zoro walked onto the dock and made his way to the three people that wrecked his room.
"Luffy, you can't do that. How many times do I have to tell you? That's not how it goes." Usopp was grabbing two sticks from Luffy who wasn't letting go.
"How com? Hmm? Because I'm winning?" Luffy stuck his tongue out at Usopp who gasped dramatically. " You're just mad that I'm winning, Loooosseeeerrr" Luffy dragged out the insult as he pulled his lower eyelid down.
Chopper laughed at the two boys as the bickering continued. He stopped when a shadow hovered over him, blocking out the sun. He looked up and smiled at Zoro who smiled back at him.
"Hi Zoro!"
Zoro bent down and rubbed Chopper on the head. "Hi Chopper." He looked at the two idiotic boys arguing, as they hadn't sensed his presence yet. "Now, Chopper. I think you're very smart..."
Chopper smiled wide and waved off the compliment. "You don't have to compliment me Zoro "
"...Which is why, I believe that you had nothing to do with this." Zoro said, making Chopper look at him confused. A heavy sigh escaped the bronze man's lips before he went on. "When you guys were playing around yesterday, who touched the diapers?"
"Diapers?" Chopper repeated. He shook his head a moment later. "I'm not sure Zoro. I didn't get to play with them until after I was done with my samples. They were already playing by then."
Zoro once again looked at the arguing boys with a smile before looking back at Chopper. "And did they ever go into my room?"
Chopper thought for a moment. At this same moment, Sanji ran up the stairs and scanned the dock.
" I think it was opened slightly. That's where they were when I found them. We left but the lower dock is small so we kept running towards there." Chopper smiled. "I hope I helped Zoro."
Zoro put a hand on the reindeer's head and smiled lightly before pushing him behind him, towards Sanji who was yelling for everyone to get Zoro.
The crew members looked confused and the boys stopped playing to figure out what was going on. Sanji appeared beside them a moment later and tried to reason with Zoro. " I'm sure they had no idea that- "
"You two were in the boxes in my room weren't you." Zoro pushed past a scared Sanji and proceeded towards the two teens. Usopp tried to explain the situation, but Luffy being Luffy didn't think the matter was serious.
"Yeah, there was a lot of cool things in them."
"Oh really?"
Zoro smiled at Luffy as he continued to tell on himself with excitement. Usopp stood by looking back and forth between Zoro and Luffy. As the story went on, he brought his hands into a prayer pose and started to lower himself to the floor as he whispered quickly into the air. The other members of the crew started to divide, some going closer just incase anything happened and others moving further away. Of course, Nami and Robin joined the latter group with the kids, picking the lower deck as the better place to be.
"Luffy!," Sanji said, earning a glare from Zoro. He met the gold eyes for a quick moment and let out a quick, awkward laugh. "You guys didn't mean it, right?"
"No, we would ne'"
Luffy cut Usopp off. " It was good for ammo."
The darkness that covered the two teenage boys wasn't scary at this moment. It was the kind smile that Zoro wore on his face that frightened everyone that remained on deck.
"So," Zoro started as he grabbed Usopp and Luffy by the collar. "You burned the kids things for fun? And now we have to go to a dangerous island so that we can restock for them?"
Luffy stared at Zoro for a moment before his mouth opened. "Oh." He scratched the side of his head. "Didn't think of that. Sorry bout that Zoro. " He patted the bronze arm holding him. "We're all good though, right?"
Zoro's smile brightened. " Of course."
Nami and Robin decided that they could return to the deck but stopped at the stairs as a chorus of No's and Don't Zoro went through the ship. They looked at each other and then at the kids as a loud splash could be heard from where they stood. With a deep sigh, Nami and Robin turned around and decided another round around the lower deck would be best before going to fix the chaos above.
Sanji came back on deck drenched with Franky behind him. They dropped Usopp, Luffy and Brook onto the deck. Zoro has tossed both Usopp and Luffy off originally, but Brook being Brook jumped off after them, forgetting that along with Luffy and Chopper, he couldn't do anything in the water. Chopper ran to each of the members, checking for any injuries before deciding that they were fine, and giving Sanji permission to leave the deck.
When he first reappeared on deck, Sanji saw the green haired swordsman angrily walking down the stairs. He had wanted to follow but couldn't get pass Chopper once he changed forms. As soon as the small doctor told him he was fine, he raced to catch up to him but stayed close behind. He was close enough to hear him mumbling angrily to himself.
"All the pampers are gone." Zoro let out a dry laugh as he turned down a hall. " All of them. Its bad enough that we're running from the marines with this shit but now we're going to an unstable island. Fucking unbelievable." Zoro stopped and spun to face Sanji quick. "Can you fucking believe this?"
Sanji opened and closed his mouth. He didn't think that Zoro actually knew he was there. He stared at the gold eyes and shook his head. "Unbelievable." his voice came out a little quiet. "Do we have enough pampers to last?"
Zoro snorted and turned around. He spoke as he walked down the hall. "I'm not that dumb Sanji. I have a spare stash of them in Choppers office but that was only for emergencies. Between those and the ones that I have under their beds, it should last us to the island at least."
The girls could be seen coming down the other end of the hall. They were in a deep conversation from what Sanji could tell. He opened his mouth to ask Zoro what they could be talking about but stopped when he almost ran into the tanned mans back.
"This," Zoro turned towards Sanji. " works out for you, doesn't it?"
Sanji's eyebrow shifted downwards as he stared at Zoro.
"You get more time now if we stop at the island, don't you?" Zoro crossed his arms and stared at Sanji who started to connect the dots.
The blonde haired cook opened and closed his mouth. "Zoro.."
"No," Zoro started. " It's fine. Really, it is. You're probably happy that we're going there. You should be."
Sanji didn't know what to say. He hadn't thought about it earlier, but even though the island would give him more time, it would be extremely dangerous for the babies and the crew to go there. There's no information on the island so they couldn't guess what they could get into, and the island itself was unstable, which could cause trouble for everyone. That would be a full night to deal with the unexpected and a full night to be on top of their toes to keep the babies safe.
"That's...I...I'm not sure what you want me to say Zoro." Sanji managed to get out. The girls were practically behind Zoro now. "Yes, I get more time but I can't say that putting my family in danger in exchange makes me feel happy."
"I wasn't saying it like that." Zoro muttered back, letting his arms fall to his sides.
" What else could you have been trying to say?"
Zoro could sense the irritation in Sanji's voice and remained quiet. He wasn't sure why he even said what he did anymore.
"Is everything okay?" Nami asked. There was tension between the two men but it wasn't too bad. But still, it was present.
"Yeah," Zoro said. He turned around towards them. "I think I need to lie down. Could you watch the kids for a little longer?"
Once he saw the girls nod their heads, Zoro walked passed them quietly in the direction of Sanji's room. Nami and Robin focused their eyes on Sanji once he disappeared.
"Do I have to ask what's going on or will you just tell us?" Nami asked while Robin nodded beside her.
Sanji looked at the two girls and then behind them in the direction Zoro went. He let out a sigh and motioned for them to follow him, "I'll tell you while I start cooking."
