Ch4: Riders and Witch
Lelouch came back home as he felt exhausted from rescuing Suzaku and promise to contact with the Resistance sometime later in the future. He returns his vehicle back into its Lockseed form and puts in his pocket.
"I'm home," Lelouch said. He was expecting either Sayoko or Nunnally would greet him…
"Welcome home, Lelouch." The same green hair girl from Shinjuku said.
Lelouch was speechless because he remembered that this girl supposed to be dead when she took the shot for him.
But how is she still alive? Lelouch thought confused.
She was currently folding origami cranes with Nunnally now.
"Oh thank goodness you're home, brother. I was so worried!" Nunnally said.
"I assume you ate out tonight judging by your appearance." The green hair girl said plainly.
"I thought you would be caught up in the uproar by that man, Zangetsu. I tried calling you, but you wouldn't answer also Miss CC was waiting for you." Nunnally explains.
"CC?" Lelouch asked, looking at the green hair girl.
Nunnally nodded. "She has such an unusual name, only her initials. I have to ask… is CC your girlfriend, brother?" She asked.
Lelouch moved his mouth but found himself unable to say anything. Her comment felt like he'd been hit in the gut with a sledgehammer. Sure, he had to admit, CC, if that's what her real name was, was easy on the eyes, he has no clue about who she was. Then again, Nunnally didn't know that.
"No, she not, Nunnally." He answered.
"We're intertwined by fate. He and I have entered into a contract, and he has to grant me my wish. In return, I've given him something special."
Nunnally stops immediately as her hands dropping the blue paper she was about fold in half. Turning her face toward the chair she knew her brother was standing, she brought a delicate hand to her mouth in shock.
"As in marriage…?" Nunnally asked.
Lelouch felt his heart drop to his stomach. This was not what he needs now of all times.
"She is not serious about it, Nunnally" Lelouch said.
"Yes I am."
"I mean, you're old enough to decide who is right for you, but I wish you could have told me beforehand. But you've already… already?"
The splintering crash a teacup made her stops and raises her eyebrows in alarm. She could her big brother get up and step toward CC now.
"Oh, CC, you've spilled tea all over yourself! C'mon, let's head to the bathroom to clean up and get you some new clothes. Don't worry about the cup, Nunnally, I'll be back for it."
Nunnally frowned slightly at her brother's tone. He sounded annoyed. Sighing, she faced the table again and felt around for another piece of origami paper to fold into a crane.
(Lelouch's room)
Dragging the green haired woman behind him into his room, he turned and glared at her.
"Who the hell are you?" Lelouch asked in a dangerous tone.
"Didn't you hear her? She said my name, CC." The green hair woman answered as she glances about the room with disinterest; clearly making a point to not make eye contact with the violet eye teenager. Twirling in place a few times, she focused her attention on his bed before sitting on the edge of it.
"Aren't you supposed-?"
"To be dead?" CC finished for Lelouch. "I got that a lot, I am an Immortal Witch."
"So, how do you like the power I gave you?"
"So it was you." Lelouch said with serious.
"Dissatisfied?"
"Well, the ability does help me out… to destroy Britannia. But I don't intent to rely on it too much since I don't know what I got myself involved." Lelouch said, not wanting to reveal his power to her. "And I still can't trust you yet." Lelouch added.
"Oh, why is that?" CC asked.
"Because I am curious about what is your connection with my father and what exactly is this Ragnarok Connection about?" Lelouch asked. This somehow made CC looks quite surprised and stares drilled at his eyes.
"How do you know that?" CC asked.
"When you made the contract with me, I saw that man in my head and there is no way I couldn't recognized his voice from anywhere and he mention 'convergence with a Ragnarok Connection' and how 'the myth is beginning once again'." Lelouch explains serious.
"I will ask again, what exactly is your connection with that man?" he asked.
The green haired woman looks at Lelouch and sighed.
I never expect him to find out this early, so this isn't too bad… CC thought before looking at Lelouch's glare, I will reveal part of the truth, but not everything at all.
"Yes, I know your father fairly well. I should, considering I spent over thirty years in the Imperial Court." CC answered, this shocking Lelouch completely.
"But people would remember an immortal green hair woman who has the exact appearance for over thirty years!" Lelouch protested until realization forms on his face. "He has a Geass, doesn't he?"
"You might be right. But his power is different from your and I advise don't go charge reckless at him." CC said.
"Were you the one who give it to him?" Lelouch asked.
"I wasn't the one. It's a close confidential of your father," CC said. "But you aren't ready to face him in supernatural power."
Shit, so that bastard has a Geass as well? It sound like Father has something dangerous than mine. Thought he doesn't know about existence of Lockseeds and Helheim forest, the old man has something else dangerous… Lelouch thought serious.
"What are you going to do now?" Lelouch asked. He wants to hold off other questions about Geass since he still feel rather tired from the rescue mission. "I'm sure the military is after you."
CC frowned. "Not the entire military. Just a small fraction of it. If I'm careful, I can hide from the easily." Her frown shifted to a smirk, and she removed the legging to the prison outfit she wore, tossing them casually to the floor. "I can make do here." She finished, throwing the sleeves off as well. She gave him a look. "A gentleman would sleep on the floor."
"Don't be ridiculous, beside I don't want you causes trouble for me and my sister." Lelouch said with serious.
"My getting caught would be trouble for you, too." She argued.
"It's dangerous to stay together." Lelouch said firmly. Most of all, how is he going to explains this strange woman to Sayoko?
"If I wander the streets, they'll find me." The green hair girl replied.
"Speaking of which, what is the deal with that contract? And how many Geass users are there?" CC just gave looked at him.
"Goodnight, Lelouch." CC said before going to sleep. Lelouch growled in annoyed and realized it's impossible to get answers out of her or force her to leave.
Lelouch sighed in annoyed as he left the room immediately as he went to his workshop room to resuming the construct of a Sengoku Driver for Sayoko and looking for an ideal Lockseed for her.
In the morning, Lelouch wears his school uniform after he got out the bathroom. But his mind is distraction about what Sagara told him related to Genbu Kururugi, Suzaku's decreased father.
He knows Suzaku's father won't let his own son joins Britannia and choose to fight against them before the news about Genbu's suicide that lead to Japan's surrender to Britannia.
Sagara wants him to research Genbu's death.
However, this is going to be problematic for Lelouch to solve.
There aren't any pictures or clues about what causes Genbu's death… Lelouch thought as he wants to get bottom of this matter.
But Genbu's death somehow lead Suzaku to joins the Britannia army.
He doubt Suzaku would know why his father commit suicide, but Lelouch got this feeling that he need to make contact with those who still hold connects with Genbu Kururugi soon.
CC was wearing one of his shirts while eating pizzas and looking at the newspapers about Zangetsu.
"So what up with the samurai suit and the locks around your room?" CC asked. "Are you some otaku?"
"Who knows, maybe I am." Lelouch remarked sarcastic.
"You don't have to answer my questions just as vice versa." Lelouch sighed.
"Well, friend made for me." CC looks at him confused.
"What do you mean?"
"Exactly what I said."
"What would you do last night?" CC inquired.
"Explain to Sayoko about you and debates about what do about immortal in the house." Lelouch said as he reaches to his table.
"What exactly is Orange about?" CC asked.
"It's because I remembered Jeremiah when I was little and I pranked on him related to the fruit Orange…" Lelouch chuckled amusing.
Now, he thinks about it. Jeremiah could also be another lead to his mother's death since he is one of the guards for his mother. Or he can be the killer?
He soon got out what looks like a black mode plane and insert a Sunflower Lockseed in the slot. It soon transformed into a mechanical raven. Lelouch opened the window and watches it flying out.
"What was that?"
"A scout." Lelouch answered. In order to scout out for possible traces of Zipper portals in the city, Lelouch develop mini familiars powered by Lockseeds to help him spread out his eyes for any potential zipper sights and warn him.
(With Suzaku)
After his trial, Suzaku walks around the city. The court said that due to Zangetsu's confession and lack of evidence, Suzaku was free to go. He was thinking about Zangetsu and what he said last night.
There has to be some way for me to find out who he is… Suzaku thought.
Suddenly out of nowhere came a loud scream. "Out of the way please… LOOK OUT BELOW!" A female voice screamed.
Suzaku caught her and looks at her appearance. The girl has long pink hair tied by a bun on each side of her head, pale skin, and light violet eyes. The dress she wore was far too expensive to be found in store. The girl looked at him.
"I'm sorry I didn't think there was anyone below when I jumped." The pink hair girl apologized.
"It's alright, I wasn't expecting a girl to fall from the sky into my arms." Suzaku said. But what she did is quite reckless and could hurts herself.
"Ohh sorry but I'm being chased by someone," the girl explained. "Could you help me please," she pleased.
Is she a Britannian noble? Suzaku wondered curious.
"Uh… sure." Suzaku answered as he soon carried the pink hair girl away from the area. It wasn't long until they felt that they're safe from harm as Suzaku lets the pink hair teenage down gently.
"I'm Euphie by the way, nice to meet you, Suzaku Kururugi," Euphie greeted while extending her hand.
Suzaku took her hand.
"How did you-"
"Everyone knows your name Suzaku, you're quite the celebrity now." Euphie informed.
(Student Council Room)
After leaving the Witch on her own, Lelouch arrives at the Student Council room and he couldn't believe his eyes at what he was seeing.
"What the-" Lelouch said as he looks incredible speechless right now.
There was pictures of Zangetsu everywhere on the board and the television is playing scene of Zangetsu emerged out of nowhere.
"Hey Lelouch," Rivalz greeted, sitting nearby.
"Rivalz, what is going on here?" Lelouch asked.
"You don't know? Milly has been acting strange last night after seeing Kamen Rider Zangetsu made his appearance on the news." Rivalz explains. This causes Lelouch's eyes to wide like dinner plates.
She shouldn't remember that incident… it was long time ago, Lelouch thought shocked…
"Hello, everyone!" Milly shout, come in with a white headband on her forehead with Zangetsu's symbol on it.
"What is all of this?" Shirley asked as she looking shocked at all of these stuffs related to Zangetsu.
"This is the first meeting of Kamen Rider Zangetsu club!" Milly declared with confident.
"A club for Zangetsu…?" Kallen asked in surprised, even though she still in her meek personality.
"And our club's duty is going to find him and unmasked his identity!" Milly declared.
"But why do you want to find out who he is?" Shirley asked confused. Nina looks quite paled at her friend's new job.
"Because that man, even though to treat as a terrorist, he is my samurai in shiny armor…" Milly answered dreamy tone. This causes everyone except Lelouch looks shocked and jaw opens.
"Say what?!" They exclaimed in totally shock.
S-She knows Zangetsu as well?! Kallen thought in alarmed.
But they didn't notice Lelouch is sweating a lot at Milly's strange behavior involved the mystery white armor being known as Zangetsu.
Do you want to know why Lelouch is acting like this?
Oh crap, she does remember seeing me after all these years…! Lelouch thought with fear. He never wants anyone else knows about his secret identity especially Milly!
(Flashback)
A 12 year old Lelouch was going to the place where the Helheim vines are starting to appear in Ashford Academy and glad that Nunnally and Sayoko aren't with here right now.
"It should be around here…" Lelouch wondered out loud before he hears a scream.
"AAAHHH!" a familiar voice screamed.
Lelouch's eyes widen as he recognized it from anywhere.
"Milly!" Lelouch said as he runs at fast could to reach the place as his feet will let him.
He saw Milly is running for her life from several grayish like creatures as Lelouch recognized them as Elementary Inves.
Lelouch has a menacing glare in his eyes to seeing someone tries to harm his friend. He soon attached his Sengoku Driver onto his waist and belt was formed.
He took out his Melon Lockseed.
"MELON!"
A zipper portal opens above him and reveals the large metallic melon above him. Lelouch soon attached the Lockseed to his belt.
"Henshin…" Lelouch said as he cuts his Lockseed with the Cutting Blade.
"SOIYA! MELON ARMS! TENKA GOMEN!"
Milly trips the ground which results hurt her knee as the Inves are coming closer to her and the young blonde hair girl shaking in fear…
Just then a white blur appeared out of nowhere and slashes away the Inves as Milly sees a tall Zangetsu standing in front of her.
"Who… are you?" Milly asked.
"…" Zangetsu slowly walk toward the Inves as the Inves charge toward him. Zangetsu take out his Musou Saber and slice the first Inves before knocking it away with his shield.
Zangetsu soon pull the trigger of his Musou Saber and fired at the rest of the Inves now while they got closer to him. When a pair of Inves was about to charges him from the left, Zangetsu turns and sliced them with a vertical cut.
Zangetsu soon turns into a blur as he cuts down more Inves in the path. Once, he saw there were few left and decides to end this.
Zangetsu soon uses his Cutting Blade.
"SOIYA! MELON SQUASH!"
Zangetsu immediately throws his Melon Defender at the bunch Inves and sliced through them as they exploded.
Milly looks awe at Zangetsu as he approached her.
"Who are you…?" But Zangetsu didn't answer as he bridal picks up the younger Ashford and this causes the girl to blush before she fainted.
"She will think this will be a dream," Zangetsu chuckled in a childlike voice than his adult form. He soon moves onward to somewhere safe.
'But she is quite heavy…' Zangetsu thought while carrying the blonde hair Ashford to somewhere safe.
(Present)
Unfortunately for the ex-prince of Britannia, the blonde bombshell does remember his identity after the years went passed.
What the hell have I unleashed…? Lelouch thought fearful. He can picture the horror of what will happened if Milly learns about his identity.
My rebellion against Britannia might be ruin… He shuddered at the idea.
He doesn't want to uses Geass on Milly since she was his childhood friend even if she a prankster child and someone he trusts.
(Camelot base)
Lloyd was trying to repair the Lancelot and trying to find ways to withstand against that watermelon mecha from Shinjuku who happened to be Zangetsu.
I never imagined someone invented a suit based on watermelon… Lloyd thought. Strangely, at the same time, he was dreaming about studying Zangetsu and his mysterious toys as he want to uses them to advance the Knightmares technologies.
Last night, Lloyd and Cecile were watching Zangetsu rescuing Suzaku from public execution. Cecile was worried while Lloyd wants to know how Zangetsu took down the Pureblood Sutherlands with a sword and shield.
"If we only know where he get his mysterious toys from…" Lloyd muttered.
"But he is kind of fast to be caught…" Cecile admits.
(Government Complex)
"Stay out!" Jeremiah said as he shuts his office door and looks extreme upset now.
How dare he make a mockery of me?! Jeremiah thought angry.
After Suzaku's name clear by Zangetsu's testimony, almost everyone in the Pureblood factor starts to distrust him due to Orange.
They think he has a criminal background related to whatever the Orange business means now.
But what disturbed Jeremiah the most is that Zangetsu wores a belt too similar that Clovis once wears and the former Viceroy ordered him and Bartley to keep it quiet despite they don't know how Clovis got the belt from.
He didn't find out what happens to Clovis' belt, but Jeremiah got a feeling that Zangetsu must take it or destroy it.
Jeremiah turns his attention to the large paint of Vi Britannia family. It considered his Lady Marianne and her children Lelouch and Nunnally.
I failed to protect another royal bloodline… Jeremiah thought sorrow.
He opens his drawer and takes out something he finds a while back. He vowed to never use it when he felt he needed its power.
"You might kill him, but I know what your power came from and I will use it to find you." Jeremiah said, taking the Sengoku Driver.
Suzaku and the pink hair girl Euphie were at a makeshift cemetery for what happened at Shinjuku a few days ago.
"Shinjuku… completely destroyed. And the residents just came back." Suzaku said sadly while Euphie looks at all the grave markers. The two paid their respect until two high school students interrupted them.
The students were taking pictures until the local residents tried to stop them.
"Get out of here, you damn Brits!"
"How dare an Eleven speak?!"
"I'm JAPANESE, not Eleven!"
"No, you're wrong," The long haired student countered, "Your people lost; you are nothing more than beaten dogs!"
"You stinking Britannian brats!" Tamaki said as he was livid.
Suzaku can see the violence escalating and decided to intervene.
"Hey! Don't hurt them!" Suzaku protested but Tamaki pushed Suzaku aside.
"Stay out of this!" Tamaki said.
Suzaku's sunglasses fell revealing himself.
"Aren't you Suzaku Kururugi, the one that killed Clovis?" The bandana wearing student asked.
"No, that was Zangetsu, remember?"
"Doesn't matter now you're an Honorary Britannian, sell-out, a traitor! And you're supposed to be Japanese!" Tamaki said with angry.
"You're wrong." Suzaku protested.
"Bullshit!" Tamaki was about to punch him, but Suzaku quickly grabbed his fist and flipped him over.
"Please, I have military training. I don't want to fight my own people."
"What a selfish thing for you to say," Tamaki said angrily when he got up and pointed at Suzaku, "You don't have the right to refer to us as your people… especially more so when you fought us here in Shinjuku during the massacred."
Suzaku was surprised as he started to get a clue, "Wait, you mean…?"
"Yeah, I was actually the first guy you hit in that thing you were controlling. We know all about it and you can sure as hell guess who told us."
Suzaku realized what Tamaki was referring to thinking about the Lancelot and who told them, "Wait, that was only because—"
"Shut the hell up, I don't want to hear your stinking excuses!"
"C'mon let's go, they aren't worth it."
"Son of the former Prime Minster, a rotten traitor." Tamaki said before he and the others left. "Zangetsu should have never bothered saving you and finished you off!"
Suzaku felt upset with how things went and then Euphie ran towards Suzaku while holding Suzaku's bag.
"Suzaku, are you all right?" Euphie asked concerned for him.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine," Suzaku answered. But deep down, he can't ignore the anguish look from Tamaki and his friends.
Suzaku and Euphie checked on the students.
"Are you ok?"
"I'm fine!" Before Suzaku can say something a man appeared. He was in his 20s and clearly Japanese.
"Who are you?" Suzaku asked.
"Who cares! What about my camera?" one of the students complained. The man pulled out a Lockseed with a rotten mango on it as he pressed it.
Suddenly a zipper portal comes in front of him and a creature comes out. The creature with mostly blue body and bronze leg armor and bronze layered armor on it shoulder. From its back and head emerged antler which looked a little like flames starting out of the blue and going to orange. The face was kind of plain with only bronze plating with blue lines for eyes.
"Get them…" the man ordered the creature as it fired and burned the two students.
"How could you?!" Euphie exclaimed.
"It's THEIR fault because of them, we're reduced to nothing but trash!" The man said. His beast suddenly looks at Suzaku and growl.
Unaware to them, a raven saw this for a few second before its eyes glow red.
Lelouch is studying the Baron's Driver until his computer has let out rang and went to the computer. He immediately turns on and his eyes widened at the scene.
Is that Euphie?! And Suzaku is with her?! Lelouch thought in shocked.
He quickly changed into his uniform immediately and stores Baron's Driver in a storage place where no one would look. On the way out, he saw CC holding a pizza box. Before she could ask question, he spoke.
"I have a matter to take care of." Lelouch said before leaves his room and gone into the garage. Lelouch takes out his Sakura Lockseed and throws into the air as it transforming into his bike. He takes on his helmet before putting on his belt as he starts driving out of the garage now.
When he was gone, all that left was a surprised CC who drops the cheese of her pizza.
Your son is more interesting than I expected, Marianne… CC thought interesting.
On the way out, Lelouch took out his Melon Lockseed and activates it.
"MELON!"
"Henshin!" Lelouch said as the Melon Arms appeared above him while he was driving.
He inserted his Lockseed into his Driver before locking it and then sliced the Lockseed.
"SOIYA! MELON ARMS! TENKA GOMEN!"
The Melon Arms fall on his shoulders and transforms him into Zangetsu.
Suzaku and Euphie were running from the Shika Inves who was firing fire at them. Cecile and Lloyd see them and decided to help. Cecile got out and drew her gun as she started to shooting at the Dopant but the bullets were ineffective.
"Your Highness, we have to get you and Suzaku out of here." Suzaku then looks at Euphie in surprised, if Cecile says Euphie is royalty.
"Suzaku, this is Princess Euphemia Li Britannia." Lloyd said. Suzaku looks shock at Lloyd before looking back at Euphie.
"Euphie?" Suzaku asked.
"Well… I…" Before Euphy can finish a fireball struck near them. They saw the Shika Inves in front of them with the Japanese man as Cecile was out of bullets.
Lloyd was about to suggest using the Lancelot but just remembered it still needed repairs.
Just when the man going to ordered the Inves to attack, he and others hear a motorcycle. They all turned to see someone that they didn't expect.
"Zangetsu…?" Suzaku asked in disbelief.
Zangetsu rams his motorcycle into the Shika Inves and send the Inves flying backward. Zangetsu soon got off his bike and he then looks at the man who holding a Lockseed.
"Zangetsu! What do you want with me?" the man asked.
"That thing doesn't belong to you… dropping it or you will regret later." Zangetsu said with serious. The man realized what he's referring to. Zangetsu got out his Musou Saber and Melon Defender before charges forward.
The Shika Inves soon got in front of Zangetsu and tries to attack the white Rider. But Zangetsu lands a few slashes on the Inves.
"Like hell, I would just give this up! He promised it will bring me my revenge on them!" The man said.
"Damn it…" Zangetsu muttered.
There is no doubt that bastard is here! Zangetsu thought before bashing his shield into the Inves's head to force it back.
"Come on!" The man protest, pressed hard on his Lockseed. But he wasn't aware the Lockseed shows small cracks already.
While Zangetsu and the Shika Inves were fighting each other, their crowds were completely amazed by this scene of battle.
Lloyd pulls out his camera and videotaping the footage.
"This is incredible! Strange Locks bring out strange monsters while Zangetsu is properly combating them with proper equipment." Lloyd comment while filming the scene.
Cecile face palmed at the scientist's growing interest in Zangetsu before she notices a news team hurrying toward the scene while one guy is recording all of this.
If only we get here sooner… Diethard thought before looking at his news crew. They originally came here to do a piece on Shinjuku but they spotted the mysterious Kamen Rider Zangetsu fighting a monster.
"Are you guys getting all of this?" He asked.
"Yes, sir." This made Diethard smiles.
"Good work, everyone! Can't wait to see this on the news."
The Shika Inves tries to attack him, but Zangetsu was easily dodging him. But when it did lands some hits, Zangetsu brought out his Melon Defender to block them. Zangetsu soon rams the Inves into the wall of empty building. The Shika Inves roared before firing fireballs at Zangetsu. But Zangetsu jumps backward and spins before landing on his feet. He soon looks up to see the Shika Inves was about to charges at him again.
But Zangetsu vanished and stabbed the Inves from behind. The Shika Inves roared in pain before Zangetsu decided to end this.
"This is the end…" He sliced his Lockseed once with his Cutting Blade.
"SOIYA! MELON SQUASH!"
Green energy gathering around Zangetsu's foot and leap into the air. He aimed his fiery foot at the Inves and when he landed on its chest, the green energy gives off aura of a melon. Zangetsu jumps off before turning around as the Inves exploded.
Soon the man's Lockseed exploded and this knocked him out completely. Zangetsu approach the man and looks at the broken Lockseed and crushed it with his hands.
"Fifteen…" Zangetsu muttered quietly with angry.
He soon went to his bike and got on it.
"Zangetsu!" Zangetsu turns to see Suzaku and others.
"Kururugi…" Zangetsu started cold. "I see you got out of the court today."
"Zangetsu, what exactly is going on here?" Suzaku asked.
"Nothing you should concern yourself with." Zangetsu answered as he stares at Euphie who is far from others.
If you're here, then Cornelia is here as well… Zangetsu thought as he admits how his half-sister has grown into a young beautiful woman.
Suddenly Lloyd approaches him and got on his knees.
"Please sir! In the name of Science, you must tell me how you did all of that?" Lloyd pleaded.
Zangetsu was surprised that one of Britannia's brilliant minds became somewhat a fan of his Driver and Lockseeds.
"Hmm…" Zangetsu tries to find a good way to response when Diethard with a camera as he pushed the poor scientist aside.
"Zangetsu, do you have any words for our viewers?" Zangetsu nodded.
"If I find any Britannian disrespected cemetery in Shinjuku again, I will make them suffered." Zangetsu said with serious to the camera before drove out the scene.
Everyone was wonder what is his real intentions but Euphie has a different look on her face.
Why do I felt like I know you from somewhere? She thought confused.
(Somewhere in Area 11 settlement)
Jeremiah is on the floor wounded while the four members of his Pureblood factor now as they wield their guns at him. He grit his teeth as he stares with pure angry at Kewell.
"What is the meaning of this, Kewell?!" Jeremiah protested angrily. "I thought you say Zangetsu is seeing somewhere here!"
"Of course, it was but you really one to be upset with us when considering that you're still lying to us saying that you know nothing about Orange and let him escaped." Kewell said.
"Those are not lies! I'm telling you the truth!" Jeremiah protested. "Zangetsu is too dangerous!"
"Be silent, Orange!" Kewell responded, "It's your own damn fault and besides, why do you think we're here for?! It is to serve the imperial family!"
Kewell and his men were ready to shoots Jeremiah.
"All Hail Britannia!" Kewell and his cohorts said loudly.
Suddenly a green blur appeared out of nowhere and knocked out all of the guns. They were all surprised and they looked as the green blur turns out to be a shield and returns to Zangetsu.
"Hmm… it looks like you're in tight situation, Orange." Zangetsu said. "Your own men decide to betray you by trying to gunning you down."
Jeremiah was surprised to see who it was that just saved him.
"I… don't believe this," Jeremiah said in disbelief. "… K-Kamen Rider Zangetsu?"
Kewell was not pleased with the interference and clenched his teeth. He never imagined Zangetsu would shows up immediately.
"What the hell is this?!" Kewell said upset, "Are you trying to ruin our reputation again?!"
"Unlikely you, I have an interest in that man." Zangetsu said, unsheathed his sword. "But I can't ignore this either."
"However, I won't allow you ruin us Pureblood group again!" Kewell said as he and others charged at him immediately.
Zangetsu turns into a white blur again as he deliver several slashes at each men before they could even touched him.
He is almost fast as Lady Marianne… Jeremiah thought in shocked.
Zangetsu soon takes the injury Jeremiah and disappeared into thin air again.
They soon arrive at an abandon parking lot as Zangetsu drops Jeremiah to the ground.
"D-Did you kill them?" Jeremiah asked.
"No, I only give them wounds to cripple their movements." Zangetsu replied before looking at the leader of Pureblood.
"Why are you helping me Zangetsu? Why? After so completely destroying my career barely a day ago, you choose to save me?" Jeremiah asked.
"I heard that you used to serves Lady Marianne vi Britannia and her children, isn't that corrected?" Zangetsu asked.
This causes Jeremiah to look surprised at him.
"Why do you hope to accomplish by bring up the ghosts of my past, Zangetsu?" He asked.
"Because I want to know if you hold any responsibility in killing Marianne..." Zangetsu said coldly. This causes Jeremiah to grit his teethes in angry at the accusation.
"How dare you accusing me of killing the person I swore to protected?!" Jeremiah exclaimed, trying to get himself up despite his shoulder wound. "What exactly is Marianne to you?! You kill Clovis in cold blood, you don't deserved to say her name!"
This got Zangetsu enraged immediately when Jeremiah mentions his mother's name.
"Because Marianne is my mother!" Zangetsu barked with angry.
"What?!" Jeremiah stops immediately and frozen.
Zangetsu undoes his transformation and reverted back to Lelouch as this causes Jeremiah's eyes to widen in shock. He knows those purple eyes almost anywhere…
"Prince Lelouch…? But how?" Jeremiah asked. "B-But how did you survived? I heard you and Princess Nunnally die during the Britannia invasion."
"We did, Jeremiah. Lelouch and Nunnally vi Britannia are dead ghosts of the past. Lelouch and Nunnally Lamperouge replaced them after the invasion." Lelouch said.
"She is alive after all these years…" Jeremiah said, feeling hope for the first time. "I'm glad that you survived…"
"If you didn't kill my mother, then do you know who did it?" Lelouch asked bluntly.
"Like you I had my suspicions regarding how the investigation was mishandled. I'm afraid I don't know much, but any information I have I'll gladly give."
Lelouch raised an eyebrow, "Which is?"
"Princess Cornelia… at the time, she was in charge of her Highness's personal escort, we were her subordinates. That night, she had dismissed us early. There are a lot of things in my life that I regret doing, but following that order is the one thing I regret the most, because of that I wasn't there to guard your mother." Jeremiah recalls with sorrow.
There was a long pause for Lelouch after hearing all of this, speechless. Even if he felt like using Geass, Lelouch could feel this man is telling the truth. He has no idea Jeremiah wasn't responsible for his mother's death or Cornelia is in the middle of it.
It looks like Cornelia is really in the middle of this… Lelouch thought serious.
"I see. So you never saw the one who kill her…" Lelouch said.
"My lord, I want to know… but why did you kill Clovis in the first place?" Jeremiah asked, with concerned.
"He has something he shouldn't get his hands on… it will causes potential destruction of the world if Britannia realized its' power." Lelouch explains before realizing something else. He knows he is looking for recruits Riders into his future Army and find one.
Maybe he could be the one… Lelouch thought as he did saw Jeremiah fighting against his own before step in to rescued the man. "Tell me something Gottwald, your loyal only to my mother and by extension to me, or is it Britannia that you are loyal to?"
"My loyal is to Lady Marianne and her children alone. Please allow me to stand beside you and your sister again." Jeremiah said.
"Would you be willing to take that statement with you to the grave?" Lelouch asked.
"Yes, your Highness!" Jeremiah said without a second of hesitation. "Even if it means my death that I wish to be of service to you so that I might make up for the failures in the past. I promise you my lord, that I shall not fail you or your mother again."
"I see…" Lelouch said before his cellphone starts ranging immediately.
"Sayoko, what is the matter?" Lelouch asked before his eyes wide in shocked.
"Don't worry… I will be there," Lelouch said before looking at Jeremiah.
"Is there trouble?" Jeremiah asked with concerned.
"Indeed and it close to where me and Nunnally staying... We need to hurry, but I will explain along the way." Lelouch said.
Jeremiah nodded.
But Lelouch almost forget Jeremiah is injury and take out a vital from his pocket.
"Before we go, we should see your injuries first." He said.
(Somewhere on Ashford academy)
Sayoko accompany one of Lelouch's mechanic familiars close to the area where Ashford academy dumped their stuffs. She spots several vines have already appeared on the wall and Helheim fruits grown.
She knows they're quite dangerous before she hears growling noises coming from the side as several Inves emerged out from the shadow.
Sayoko immediately take out her Sengoku Driver and places on her waist as yellow belt and the faceplate materialized. It was gray and the helmet is similar to a ninja but with blue visor. There were also wind accents around the mural.
She then pulled out her new Plum Lockseed.
"Henshin!" Sayoko said.
"PLUM!"
A zipper portal opens above her and a metallic purple plum slowly descended down before Sayoko inserted her Lockseed into the belt and sliced it open, revealing the top part which was the core of the plum, and the bottom revealing a picture of pair of large shurikens with plum motif.
"SOIYA!"
The Plum Arms descended down onto her shoulders and her body donned in a black and gray bodysuit with silver braces on both arms. The Plum Arms soon disassembled and the front folded to her chest while the sides folded into shoulder armors.
"PLUM ARMS! ZETSUEI NO TSUKI!"
Her helmet is similar to that of her faceplate before the Plum Arms has a maroon like color on the sides of her helmet as two yellow glowing eyes and gains a purple scarf around her neck. In her hands is pair of large shurikens. This is Kamen Rider Shadow as she looks at her new appearance.
"Well, Lelouch-sama has done indeed good in designing my suit…" Shadow comments before looking at the Inves coming at her.
"You should not pass any further, corrupted beasts!" Shadow declared twirled her dual Plurikens.
She throws her weapons at the Inves and starts mowing down couple of them before more coming in their places. Shadow regains her weapons and charges at them.
Just then Lelouch and Jeremiah arrive on the scene as Jeremiah's eyes wide at the Inves and new Rider. He has to admit that Shadow is good at battle.
"Hang on, Sayoko." Lelouch said as he gets out his Melon Lockseed.
"MELON!"
Jeremiah watches as Lelouch tossed the Melon Lockseed into the air before locking it in.
"Henshin!"
"SOIYA! MELON ARMS! TENKA GOMEN!"
Zangetsu got his Melon Defender and charge forward into battle with the Inves. Jeremiah takes out what looks like a blank Sengoku Driver and a Blood Orange Lockseed before seeing his Lady's son fighting against the Inves.
"I swear… Lady Marianne, I will protect your son and daughter," Jeremiah said before he attaches his Sengoku Driver to his waist and a yellow belt form around his waist. His faceplate was armored face of some sort of figure with a sword-like decoration on his forehead, a blue helmet, a red colored visor, and a steel mouthplate.
"Hang on, Zangetsu!" Jeremiah said before hits the button of his Lockseed.
"BLOOD ORANGE!"
He inserted the Lockseed into place. He pressed the Blood Orange Lockseed into the belt and locked it into places.
"LOCK ON!"
His Sengoku Driver began blaring out some music played from a rock guitar. A zipper portal form above him and descend from portal is a red metallic orange with a metal studs on the surface.
"Henshin!" Jeremiah shouts before pushed down the Cutting Blade on the Blood Orange Lockseed. The front of the blood orange then popped open like an orange being sliced open. The portion stick to the lock looked like the inside of an red orange chopped in half while the bottom half hanging on the belt depicted an orange slice styled sword surrounded by black flames.
The blood orange dropped and landed on Jeremiah's shoulders, engulf his head. His body rippled and became covered in a dark blue bodysuit which had quilted leather, perfect for fighting. On his arms and legs were golden bracers and leg covering which added extra protection. On his side was a black sword with a gold line on the blade with a trigger under the swordguard and the cross-like guard looked like it actually doubled as a gun.
"BLOOD ORANGE ARMS! JA NO MICHI ON STAGE!"
Inside the metal red orange, Jeremiah's head became covered in a blue helmet with a silver and black mouth guard, a dark gray visor, and a sword-like decoration on the forehead. After the helmet formed, another change occurred. Samurai-like helmet landed as extra decoration made of the studded red steel but the visor turns red, look like an orange slice. The blood orange then sparked and began to disassemble, the sides folding in half to form the shoulder pads, the chest plate with a black line on top, and leaning on his back was the top of the red with the silver inside facing out. Appearing in his hand was a short scimitar styled after an orange slice but red in colour. This was Kamen Rider Bujin Gaim.
Bujin Gaim looks at his appearance and sword before looking at the battle in front of him as he charges forward with his sword. Shadow slices down several more Inves with her weapons before a Byakko Inves dodge her attack and charges her.
But Bujin Gaim made his appearance and slashed the Byakko Inves as this surprise Zangetsu and Shadow.
I call him Orange due to an old prank, but I didn't meant literally… Zangetsu thought in shocked.
"Who are you?" Shadow asked curious.
"I am…" Jeremiah paused for a moment upon noticing that his voice in the suit sounded very different. It sounds a bit dark and menacing. But he cares less about sound as he pays attention to the battle in front of him. "Kamen Rider Bujin Gaim!"
Shadow looks at him before she went to face Inves going off to another direction.
The Byakko Inves tries to slashes Bujin Gaim, but he uses his Daidaimaru to blocks his attack before countered with several more hits.
I'm getting a hand of it… Bujin Gaim thought before the two Elementary Inves got him and throws him backward and lands in pile of trashes.
The Byakko Inves went up to him and continued his attacks. Bujin Gaim got up and tries to fight back before being disarmed as the Inves grabbed him by the neck and try to strangle him. Bujin Gaim's arm soon landed on the Musou Saber that was hanging from the side of his belt. He grabbed it and slashes the Inves as he withdrew it, causing it to move back. Bujin Gaim then went for another round of slashes and went for the Daidaimaru on the ground.
He tested both swords.
"How interesting… thought I'm not that experience with dual blades." Bujin Gaim mused as he rushed at the Inves. The crimson clad warrior slashes with both swords and it was doing a huge amount of damages.
Shadow is leaping into the walls as she taking on the flying Inves with her ninja like skills. She then activates her Cutting Blade twice.
"SOIYA! PLUM AU LAIT!"
Shadow throws her Plurikens at the group of Inves before her weapons multiplied before a hologram of a plum slice form before the Inves were no more.
Meanwhile Zangetsu turns to see a group of Inves and decides to take care of the mattered. He took out his Melon Lockseed out of his Sengoku Driver and attached it to the Musou Saber before locking it in places.
"LOCK ON!"
"1! 10! 100!"
"This is the end for you!" Zangetsu shouted, slashing out two waves of green cresent energy at the group of Inves, trapping them in a holographic musk melon. The Inves tried to get out but failed, Zangetsu goes into his stance for the kill.
"MELON CHARGE!"
Zangetsu charged in fast towards the melon construct and after a bash of his Melon Defender onto it, he did a hug arc with his Musou Saber, slicing the melon construct before it exploded with virtual musk melon flesh spreading out in all directions.
"That is the last of them." Zangetsu said.
Bujin Gaim is fighting against the Inves with his newfound dual bladed lance as he slashing the Inves faster now.
"Bujin Gaim, you need to puts your Lockseed into the Musou Saber!" Zangetsu said.
Bujin Gaim looks at Zangetsu then he notices the Lockseed component in his Musou Saber. He remembered how Zangetsu did yesterday and decides to test out his weapon.
"LOCK OFF!"
He placed it in and locked it.
"LOCK ON!"
Bujin Gaim notices the Inves are starts to attack him at once.
"1! 10! 100!"
The Inves tries to fire their attacks at him but Bujin Gaim deflect them when he spinning his weapon. His Musou Saber was charging with red energy.
"Taste this!" Bujin Gaim said as he released a couple of red energy slices. The slices hit the Inves as they're trapped in a large red energy like sphere.
He soon twirls his sword to the Daidaimaru's end and it glowing with red energy as well.
"BLOOD ORANGE CHARGE!"
Bujin Gaim screamed as he charged and sliced the group of Inves and the orange sphere in half. They drifted for a few moments before exploding with some orange slices flying out.
He got the Lockseed out and placed it back in his Sengoku Driver before went to Zangetsu and Shadow.
"Where did you get that Driver?" Zangetsu asked.
"It something I found when I learns Clovis was Baron." Bujin Gaim explains.
(Flashback)
Jeremiah returns to his office after being denial of training Clovis in his fighting.
But he soon notices a strange present on his office table.
"What is this?" Jeremiah asked.
"Oh… it's a present for you," a voice said.
He soon saw someone looks at his portrayal of Marianne and her children.
"Who are you?" Jeremiah asked with caution.
"Just someone who offered something important for you in the future." Sagara said.
"The future?" Jeremiah asked confused.
"When the times come, you will be reunited with someone who thought to be lost." Sagara said. This got Jeremiah's attention.
"Who?"
"You will find out." Sagara said before he vanished immediately and left a speechless Jeremiah.
Jeremiah soon opens the present and couldn't believe his eyes.
(Present)
"Why is your voice like that?" Zangetsu asked.
"I'm not even sure, but I believe it might be useful." Bujin Gaim answered.
"How strange… there are Drivers appeared to different individuals, there must be a reason for this." Shadow said.
"We can figured out late… after getting rid of these vines." Zangetsu said. Bujin Gaim and Shadow nodded as they follow Zangetsu.
Unknown to them, a certain green hair girl watching their cleaning up with slight interested.
"You're pretty interesting, Lelouch." CC muttered.
(Unknown Location)
Sagara is talking to someone in the cave. It wasn't a surprised for the robed man to find such a figure while he was wondering around the Camelot Base.
"So they never let you even see the sunlight once, big fella?" Sagara asked to the figure.
Sagara looks up at the Knightframe who stood alone in the cave. It resembles the Knightframe Lancelot except the gold color is replaces blue and has base of Sutherland.
This is the Lancelot Club, the prototype type of Lancelot. But it was abandoned by the Camelot base and lack of funding because this Knightframe is impossible to pilot.
"Unlikely them, I'm going to make you good as new and find you an ideal pilot." Sagara said with a friendly smile.
But the Lancelot Club didn't response as Sagara pressed his hand on the Lancelot Club as the Club's eyes starts to glowing green now and the prototype Knightframe started to change rapidly.
"Let see if you can be ready to party when the next Viceroy comes, Lelouch?" Sagara asked.
Everyone was talking about the news. They were saying about how Zangetsu fighting against the Shika Inves and how he destroyed it.
Lelouch inward smiled behind his book at his status as Rider being known. But he also gets two new Riders in his upcoming army for the future rebellion.
Just then the teacher appeared and started speaking.
"Alright class, we have a new student today who going to joining us at Ashford Academy." The teacher started. "Please treat him with the same respect as you do for yourselves. You might come in now."
No way… Lelouch thought as he saw Suzaku in school uniform entered and facing the class.
"Hello, my name is Suzaku Kururugi and I look forward to learning with you all." Suzaku said.
Why do I have a feeling Euphie has something to do with Suzaku coming into school? Lelouch wondered curious.
