Ch25: The Liar Overlord

It's been a couple of weeks since the Black Knights' victory over the Chinese invasion and things have returned to normal, or so anyone would think. Right now, Zangetsu-Shin was facing against the Inves as while there are members of Black Knights burning down the Helheim vines from behind.

It begins a week ago after stopping Sawasaki's invasion, the emerging of Inves and Helheim vegetation appeared more frequently around Area 11 than before. Right now, the Black Knights are currently working on stopping them from spreading any further.

"MELON ENERGY SQUASH~!"

Zangetsu-Shin gripped his Sonic Arrow as the blade part glows green before he released a wide energy slash attack that destroyed the incoming Inves that emerged from the crack.

It wasn't long until the leader of Black Knights saw the crack already diminished and faded away in the process.

He soon checked the communicator in his helmet.

"How are things with others, Ohgi?" Zangetsu-Shin inquired through the communicator.

"The others are finished with disposed of the Inves and Helheim vegetation after the holes disappeared," Knuckle reported. "But I'm concerned with this increase of the Inves. It feels like something forcing them to come here." He added with a hint of worries.

"I know that too. But the only thing we can do is preventing Britannia from learned the existence of the forest." Zangetsu-Shin said. But he got suspicious that the increasing of Helheim flora must be caused by the Overlords.

"Do you think that they might come into this world?"

"Maybe… but we have to wait to see what their next move," Zangetsu-Shin said, watching over the Black Knights finished with the job and getting into the vehicles.

"Everything is clear in our area, Zangetsu," Gaim interjected next to his communicator.

"I see. How is she doing?" Zangetsu-Shin asked.

"She is fine, but she still hadn't used your gift and tries to not depend on it," Gaim responds while the Genesis Rider remains quiet. "I know it's difficult since you're the one who chooses to reveal others about Geass."

"It's fine, for now just keep an eye for any Britannia officials." The Genesis Rider spokes.

(Instrument) The song begins with a full view of ruin building in Japan before the scene started with a ruined building with Zangetsu standing watching over the Tokyo settlement when the sun is set before the entire scene was replaced with the title.

The scene began with Lelouch yawning as he lying on the school yard as he thought about his past before Ayano appeared behind him which caused a scene of him being chased by Ayano around.

Itsu demo jidai no hadō ni nomikomarete

Unknown to them, Orpheus was chuckled at the scene with amusing before he and Akito spotted each other. The two stares at each other before they went on their separated paths with their Lockseeds in their hands.

Samayotteta setsunai kokoro

In his room, Rai holds tightly on the Orange Lockseed tightly as a memories of young girl flash in his mind. Soon the screen turns toward Gaim and he holds tightly on his Daidaimaru while looking at the viewers.

The scene changes to Helheim forest and shows Jam with dark aura.

Doko e mo ikenai jibun ga

Suddenly the scene changes to Japan starts being covered by Helheim forest and Inves began their invasion. This cause many civilian began to start run for their life, though Britannian soldiers try to fight against Inves, but they soon got overwhelm by the number of the creatures of in the forest.

Soon the scene changes to the Black Knight headquarter as the operative members monitor event going on.

Sore demo yume ni miteta

As the Inves got closed to them, Lelouch and his fellow Riders got out their Drivers. They soon locked their Lockseeds into their Drivers before they transformed and charge into battle.

Haruka tōku taiyō no shizumu oto ga suru

The Lancelot Club is seen race across the field while taking out large Inves and Britannia Knightframes at the same. Soon the scene focused on Zangetsu running at incredible speed slashing through Britannian soldiers and Inves alike while explosions occur around him.

Ano basho e yukō Sekai no hate made

Suddenly he becomes Zangetsu-Shin before getting out his Sonic Arrow and deliver a powerful slash to destroy an unknown Knightframe.

Habakiri did a spin slash with her dual katanas; Ryugen firing several shots with his gun; Baron spins her Banaspear and thrust it forward; Kurokage spins his weapon; Knuckle pounced his Kurumi Bombers together.

Soon a Britannia airship dropped bombs on the city and caused the Riders to struggle in pain until Zangetsu-Shin shows up and destroyed it with his Finisher. The scene changes when Zangetsu-Shin and Jam spotted each other before they clashed with each other as sparks flying everywhere.

To Be Free

The scene changes to Lelouch and Ayano were walking together, then they turned around facing the screen, then it zooms out revealing Rai, Kallen, Nunnally, Orpheus and Akito along with several members of Black Knights.

On a bright morning, Lelouch was in his room as he just finished typing up the makeup essays for his tardy classes. Even though he would be relieved that Black Knights have to gain more reputation after fending off the Chinese Invasion, it didn't help much that he, Ayano, and Kallen skipped more classes. Rai is the only one who is excused from this due to his situation with Schneizel. With the success of fending against the Chinese Federation, Lelouch thought it best for Black Knights to focused more on recruits and gathering more resources. They will need more to retake Japan from Britannia and fending off other nations that come after them eventually.

But it can't also help that you've been missing longer than I did… Lelouch looking at a nearby picture frame. It showed a picture of the student council but Lelouch is focused on Suzaku's face in it.

"Staring at him will not bring him back, melon boy," C.C. said with a deadpanned expression while sitting on his bed as usual. "It might be time that you accept that he is not coming back. It might be what he deserved after everything happened so far. He is dead." She stated.

"Hey witch, how many 'givers' like you are out there in the world?" Lelouch asked.

"Even if there are others, they won't likely reveal themselves to you." C.C. refuted with deadpanned expression.

"But where does Geass originality?" Lelouch asked.

"Strange… I thought with all of your toys, you won't need to focus on Geass." C.C. remarked strangely expression.

"At first, but I don't know what to believed anymore after seeing Nonette…" Lelouch commented while thinking about Nonette while under the influence of his Geass.

It was kind of disturbing to him to know that someone else placed someone like Nonette with Geass like his own. Every Geass, while powerful, has its own unique set of restrictions, limitations, or idiosyncrasies. These factors allow a Geass to be defeated, or its power limited, by someone aware of its characteristics. Even though Lelouch is better at knowing Geass, but there is still far more for him to know such as other Geass givers like C.C. and what their abilities.

Fortunately, the Rider armor protected them from Geass influence, Lelouch knows better than depend too much on armor to protect himself and his army from Geass influences alone.

He wonders if there are any subtle ways for him and his organization to countered Geass without their enemies realized.

Cornelia was running after her pink-haired sister who was seen roaming through the woods.

"Euphie, wait! Come back!" Cornelia shouts.

But her sister couldn't hear her as she continued to move deeply through the woods and is beyond her reach. Not to mention how far she goes, the forest never ceased to end.

"Euphie!" Cornelia shouts.

But it wasn't long until her sister suddenly stopped, and Cornelia wrapped her arms around her beloved sister.

"You shouldn't be here… Nelly," Her sister said quietly.

"What are you talking about?" Cornelia said, "Don't you know how worried that I had been? Let's get out of this forest-" She then noticed that her sister won't budge from where she was.

"You should have left before… Nelly, but now I can't hold it back anymore." Euphie said before Cornelia noticed that her sister's right arm morphed into a monstrous arm.

"E-Euphie…?" Cornelia looks disbelief at what happening to her sister.

Her sister's head turned around and was replaced with a terrifying monster. Cornelia couldn't move from where she was due to her shock of the transformation as Euphie launched herself at her…

"Nelly!"

Cornelia's eyes snapped open to see Nonette and her two trustworthy men in her office.

"What… where…"

"You took off around the island longer than us before collapsed in the process. And we take you back to the medical room." Nonette explains.

Cornelia soon stopped breathing and realized that what she imagines was nothing more than just a nightmare. She did remember embarking onto Kamine Island to search for her sister on foot without telling anyone. She lost track of how much time went by before she fell into unconsciousness.

"Your Highness, I think that you should try to take it easy…" Guilford said as her knight expressed the health condition of the princess.

"I can't…" Cornelia said, looking away from him, "not until I find my sister…"

"Do you think that Euphie would be worried if her sister makes herself sick?!" Nonette retorts sharply at her close friend. Even though she worried about her trouble with the Emperor, she can't ignore the state that Cornelia was currently in.

"I will rest until she was found!" Cornelia shouts in angry. She can't lose her precious sister as she did with Lady Marianne and her children.

"How will you find her if you let yourself collapsed like that!? Is that anything an older sibling do?" Nonette asked sharply. "Not to mention that we don't have any leads on what happen to her and Kurusugi."

They did think of Black Knights after they made their reappearance when the Chinese Federation tried to invade. They would go after the Black Knights… but none of the Britannian officials have seen any of them lately. Not to mention there is no evidence of whether they have to kidnap Euphemia or not.

"Maybe Kururugi betrayed us and took my sister with him…" Cornelia said, causing those around to look at her in shock.

"What makes you think that!?" Guilford asked, looking shocked.

"After all, he was willing to betray his family to sell his country, I won't be surprised that he becomes dissatisfied with Britannia and returns to his people with my sister as a bargaining chip. Someone who likes to betray others for power… that what kind of person he is!" Cornelia said, clenching her fists in anger.

"But the Black Knights hadn't shown any proofs that they have Princess Euphemia." Nonette countered. "I don't think Kururugi would ever going back to his people as I recall how many disliked him and he was willing to work his way up."

But Cornelia wasn't listening to what she says and deepen in her thoughts about what occurs to her sister. "Oh, they would show her when everything else fails and attempt to use her as a bargaining chip…" Cornelia said. "That is what terrorists always do…"

Kallen currently on her way to visit her mother in the hospital. This is probably the only way she thinks to get away from the thought of that person. Even if everyone seems in favor of him being truthful, there is no way she will accept the fact he forced her under his servitude with Geass power.

"Damn you, Lelouch…" the redhead cursed before smelling something unusually nearby. She knows that smell almost anywhere and decided to check it out.

There she saw plants of Helheim growing nearby.

"Shit…" Kallen cursed, she looks around the alley and saw what looks like a large crack portal behind the trashcan. She got out of her cellphone immediately and calling one of her friends.

"Hello?"

"Hello Inoue, I just want you to know that there is a Crack near the hospital where my mother was," Kallen explains the situation.

"I will alert anyone available at the moments. Please keep an eye out for anyone that came in or came out of there." Naomi said.

Just when she says that Kallen hears feral growls coming from the Crack.

"Damn it, there is no way to avoid fighting them." Kallen cursed before she got out her Sengoku Driver and attached it to her waist.

She then got out her Banana Lockseed and then opened it.

"BANANA!"

"Henshin!" Kallen shouts while there is a large metallic banana floating above her head.

She then pressed down on the Cutting Blade that opens her Lockseed.

"COME ON!"

Soon the Banana Arms attached to her head as she donned her bodysuit in the process before the Banana Arms disassembled.

"BANANA ARMS! KNIGHT OF SPEAR~!"

With her Banaspear in hand, Baron rushed through the crack and dived deep into the forest. She looks around the forest carefully while searching for any Inves insight.

But it wasn't long until she saw vines coming at her right and spins her Banaspear to destroy them in the process. However, more vines coming to her direction and Baron pressed down on her Cutting Blade once.

"COME ON! BANANA SQUASH!"

"Eat this!" Baron shouted, swings her weapon, and destroyed the vines that come for her. But she wasn't done there yet before pressing her Cutting Blade down again.

"COME ON! BANANA AU LAIT!"

She turns around and slammed her Banaspear down to create a large banana-shaped spike that destroyed a nearby tree, spotting someone rolling across the floor.

"You are…" Baron looks disbelief at the being in front of her. "Overlord!?"

The being seemed to resemble that of the Overlord Demushu, but the figure's skin is dark green, slender build, and shorter. The Overlord has red eyes, a strange gold crown, and an odd-shaped staff.

"So, you're one of those humans who can fight…" The Overlord said in a distort female tone as she gets up from the ground, "Get out of this forest!" With that she fired large energy shot at Baron who dodged and charged at her.

The Overlord barely had time to block with her staff and Baron knocked her straight to the ground. Baron was about to raising her spear and ready to swing down.

However, something unexpected happens…

"Wait, I surrendered! I give up!" The Overlord screamed, making Baron stopped for a moment.

"Why should I trust you!?" Baron demands serious and almost disbelief. She barely noticed until her scream of surrender make her noticed how weak this so-called Overlord was.

"Don't you seek the answer to end the invasion of the Forest onto your world?" The Overlord suddenly asked.

"You know a way to end the invasion?" Baron asked, getting her attention. "Then tell me!" she demands with a threatening tone.

"You must obtain the Golden Fruit… the fruit of the Gods," The Overlord revealed. "with its ominous power, you could end the invasion before it could reach your world!"

Baron didn't know what to say about the Overlord's words. If the Golden Fruit could have that kind of power, then there is a chance for her world to avoid fate. But…

"Then why didn't your people used it for your world!?" Baron questioned. "Why would you so careless with it!?"

The Overlord let out a distant sigh. "It's because… it was already too late… after our king build the world where the strong survived, dire consequence…" she said. "But knowing that the forest is targeting another and there are beings out there to fight it… it possible your kind might not make the same mistake we did…"

"Where is it?" Baron asked. "The Golden Fruit?"

"It's in a hidden place… only I know where it is… I could take you there without being noticed by others," The Overlord said with something that akin to a desperation tone.

"…" Baron didn't know what to say before an energy arrow struck the Overlord in the face and was sent flying backward.

"What!?" She turned around to see Zangetsu-Shin with his Sonic Arrow, Gaim, Habakiri, and Kensei coming toward them.

"Kallen, are you alright?!" Gaim asked, coming to his friend's side.

"Why did you do that?" Baron questioned to the white Genesis Rider.

But Zangetsu-Shin didn't answer to her as he and other Riders released their attacks on the Overlord. The Overlord moves out of the way from the barrage of arrows and bullets.

"Wait, let me explains…" However, the Overlord was interrupted by incoming attacks from Gaim, Habakiri, and Kensei.

"SOIYA! ORANGE SQUASH!"

"SOIYA! BLUEBERRY SQUASH!"

"BLACKBERRY ENERGY SQUASH!"

The three Riders released their energy attacks at the Overlord who created the green vine walls that took the hit.

"MELON ENERGY~!"

But an arrow from Zangetsu-Shin's Sonic Arrow caused a massive explosion that destroyed the vine wall and shown that the Overlord already vanished.

"It looks like the Overlord fled…" Kensei remarked, scanned the area. The Other Riders looks around with warily before Baron marched up to Zangetsu-Shin.

"So that one has shown up…" Jam said, looking at the security footage of what occurs in the forest a few hours ago. He did have a thought about sending his troops before seeing the Overlord that the Black Knights were facing and decide to hold back to witness.

"Sir…? Shouldn't we attack the Black Knights now?" One of the Kurokage Troopers asked.

"No. Stay back for now." Jam said sudden. "We will leave them with that Wild One for now."

"What's with you, Jam?" Blood Saver inquired. "I would expect you to go to go for another chance to catch an Overlord." He never seen Jam acting like this before as the leader of this organization seem strictly focused on obtaining the Golden Fruit.

He soon hears Jam start chuckling. "This would make things more interesting… with this particulate Overlord that present on the field. Soon everything will be set." This made Blood Saver looks at him with widened eyes.

Something tells Blood Saver that Jam isn't acting like himself than before. Not to mention the way Jam reacts to this Overlord somehow caught his attention.

"Oh really? What is your connection with this one?" Blood Saver inquired.

"Let just say we have a history, but that is for another time. With her, it won't be long until the end of Zangetsu and his Black Knights in their fighting for their little island." Jam said before getting up from the chair.

He soon makes his way to one of the screens and it focused on a chamber and there was the sound of a struggle coming from within it.

"Already regain consciousness, I see…" Jam said. "It doesn't matter. Soon a greater power will bring forth and it will be the one that ends him and his little army."

In the base of the Black Knights, Kallen is still glaring daggers at Lelouch after giving her account with the Overlord who gives her some insight about what they could use to save their world.

"So, let me get this straight… the Overlord told you that the only way to avoid the possible invasion is this Golden Fruit?" Ohgi recalled Kallen's account.

"That's correct. I was skeptical, but she is surprisingly weak for an Overlord Inves…" Kallen said, "she was going to tell me where before there were some interruptions." She stated bitterly, glaring at Lelouch.

"Do you believed that is the only way to prevent the invasion?" Lelouch asked rhetorically to the redhead.

"What other choices we have before our world being taken over by the Forest…!" Kallen retorted seriously.

"Kallen, it's could be a trap for you to drop your guard down," Rai said with a concerned tone.

"But that's why we need to get it before Britannia or anyone does it so we can fix what happens to our world!" Kallen argued.

"I won't deny that if Britannia gets their hand on such thing, it will be devasting to our world," Todoh spoke calmly. "However, no one gives out information like this free without something in exchange… and we don't know if this Golden Fruit could lead to our salvation or doom if we obtain it."

"Lelouch, what do you think about the… Golden fruit?" Asked Ohgi. Even though he wants to agree with Kallen, but he can't help feeling something is off with that Overlord who Kallen communicated.

"I don't want to believe the Golden Fruit is the only option on the table to our salvation from the invasion… we still have time looking for other options," Lelouch stated with a serious expression. "After all, the fruit itself driven the Overlords insane with its power… won't that apply to us if we try to get the fruit itself? And most of all, what if we lost our humanity to obtain it?" he pointed out.

This made those who were in presence looks grim at the thought of what happened to the residents of the world that are covered in Helheim now.

"I refused to believe that!" Kallen barks in defiance. "There is no way anyone else will be like that!"

"Don't you remember that our world we have those who have tyranny who drunk in their power and play with the world as they pleased?" Lelouch countered.

"How do we know that you aren't going to take the fruit for yourself?! It can make things easier for you!" Kallen demands.

"Don't you dare talk Lelouch like that! He only wanted to make certain that we don't under up doing something that damaged our world like those people who did to our world!" Ayano countered, looking offended at her. "If you obtain the Golden fruit, won't that mean you would have to end up leaving your only mother and can't die?"

Though Kallen might look angry, others can tell that Ayano's words might smack something in her as she grits her teeth.

"Kallen, wait!" Rai soon went after her from behind.

"Do you think that Overlord might try to contact with Kallen again?" Ayano asked.

"You don't think that would happen, right?!" Ohgi looking worried at the idea of Kallen going on a dangerous quest.

"It's hard to say since we're facing survivors of a dead world… and we don't have enough information to understand their motivations. But I would like you guys to keep this information hiding for the time being." Lelouch said to those in presence. Though he can certainly see there is a hidden objective that Overlord Kallen contacted want something with her.

"What are you going to do about Kozuki, Lelouch?" Todoh asked. "This rash behavior of her will make others questioned her cooperation with the organization, soon or later."

Lelouch's expression becomes hardened. "When it comes to the time that Kallen does something irresponsible… as her Commander, I will make sure that she will take responsibility for her actions." He said with a serious tone.

Kallen was alone in her room, still feeling angry about things during the meeting with others.

The Golden Fruit isn't just the only thing that would solve the Forest… it might have the power to break Lelouch's Geass on me, Kallen thought. Even though she doesn't know that if it does have the power to do but it's her only opinion of being free from Lelouch's control.

Even if Lelouch and others claim that she was fighting Britannia with her free will… she doesn't know if that is true after finding out the truth about her.

She doesn't know if she couldn't even believe in Lelouch's words about controlling her. That is what makes someone like her fearing herself. That she is nothing more than a mere puppet and Lelouch was the one who pulled the strings.

That way for her to break free from something like Lelouch's Geass is… the Golden Fruit. With the ominous power, it might break something like Geass with no doubt.

The only one who can lead her to the Golden Fruit is… the Overlord.

Lelouch was in the lab of his garage and looking through a microscope. After the meeting was done and eating dinner with Nunnally, Lelouch resumed at one of his most important projects. Finding a way to restore Euphie.

Even with the progress of the antidote that I work for Nunnally… it won't likely work on restoring those who were contaminated by the Helheim virus, Lelouch thought.

He made a promise to Euphie, his second sister important like Nunnally. And he is going to keep that promise. The promise of finding a cure to her infliction that was caused by the Overlord. Someone like Euphie shouldn't get involved in the messed of Helheim in the first place.

He does feel partially responsible that Cornelia won't be able to find her sister anywhere on that island and he could imagine what she was dealing with. But it better that she doesn't know about what happens to Euphie or she will further dangers her health by trying to wake her up. And he will be ready for the consequence of what might happen soon or later if Cornelia doesn't find her sister.

The only thought that comes to him has somehow improvised the formula he made for Nunnally's cure spite her sight is a mental trauma and trying to do something about removing the virus. It was not an easy job as Lelouch remembered time and time that he makes sure Nunnally doesn't mutate into an Inves on his watch.

However, this wasn't quite easy as he would expect. After all, the virus inside the Helheim can easily wrap both the mind and body that they can't go back to where they were before…

"I wonder if they have a remedy before the invasion occurs…" Lelouch muttered. Even though it was impossible, did they find any remedy to Helheim's illness in the body?

"Who has what?" Lelouch turned around and surprised to see Ayano in the room.

"Ayano, what are you doing here?" Lelouch asked, slight surprise. Not to mention he was certain that she was looking after her friends.

"I thought about seeing how you were doing… since I did come back later," Ayano said, coming into the lab. She understands she shouldn't touch anything in the lab, or she might accidentally expose to danger of Helheim.

"Sorry… I'm currently working on Euphie's cure." Lelouch answered. "I have to make sure that Euphie is least spared from the burden of the illness."

"You always have the heart of going few steps ahead of everyone else… even when it comes to making medicines, huh?" Ayano said.

"You can say that it was something I want to prove to those Britannian doctors who weren't able to do a jack-shit about what happens to Nunnally after the incident. I could prove those bastards wrong by restoring her ability to walk again." Lelouch said.

"But now you have support from Kyoto and others, it might be easier if everyone works on the cure together, right?" Ayano asked.

Lelouch shakes his head. "They still don't have enough experience with Helheim studied as I did… one mistake could lead to a disaster before I allowed them to work with me. Maybe when I felt that they're ready, it might be a benefit for everyone. Most of all, I won't let Euphie ends up becoming an Inves to be slaughtered." He said.

Ayano is aware of what happens to Lelouch's half-sister and the choice Lelouch made was something difficult. Though she knows that it takes more to get him to considered rest. But if she was in his situation, she will probably be the same when it comes to looking for a cure. It was something that she wasn't sure if she could make it herself.

"You… are amazing, Lelouch. You didn't give up on those who you cared about unlike me," Ayano said softly, "You didn't give up on Japan… like those who have run away. There is no doubt with your help, Japan will be reborn new once again." She often wonders if Ryo and Yukiya would like to help with building new Japan when they wake up.

"But there are people I'm unable to help out. One is traumas by what happens and others… no one was able to find out anything about what happens to him. I hoped that there might be a chance for him to join… but I guess that I have waited too long and never being able to fix that one." Lelouch said with a guilty expression.

"Even if others think you're insensitive, you don't mean it. Some people can be ignorant about what occurs when approaching a sensitive topic, I know that you have your reason for doing things and that keep others safe." Ayano said. "The only thing we can do is not deny what happens and keep moving forward. I know that it might take you long to overcome it, but I will be there for you."

Even though he still felt guilty, but he felt less tense after hearing what Ayano says. "It's nice that you're patient with me and brutally honest with me," Lelouch said, stroking the top of her hair.

This cause Ayano to flustered and moved back from him. "H-Hey! I don't want to… to be treated like a little kid!" Ayano retort with annoy expression.

"Sorry… I guess it hard to resist since your hair is soft." Lelouch respond.

"If you are sorry… then how about we go another date when you aren't busy?" Ayano asked sudden.

"I don't mind," Lelouch responds.

(Next day)

Another swarm of Inves suddenly coming out of the streets from the alleyway and this forced many civilians fled. The same goes for Britannia soldiers who were forced to flee on sight when their weapons don't seem to have any effect on them.

Within the Black Knights' headquarter, Naomi and others are busying tracking down the Inves that were present.

"The Inves seem to be coming from the corners of the alleys around the market section," Naomi said, looking over the screens.

Fortunately, Zangetsu-Shin with his fellow Riders is present to battle against the large force of Inves that swarming across the street.

Zangetsu-Shin was on top of the building to snip down on Inves that were flying high in the air. Gaim, Baron, Habakiri, Knuckle, Kurokage, and Kensei are seen fighting the Inves from below. Backing them up are Black Knights in their Knightmare with a flamethrower and other firing weapons.

"ICHIGO CHARGE!"

Gaim in Ichigo Arms fired a large kunai in the air that was sent down to horde of Inves. He hurried toward a mother and her daughter who were hidden in a nearby car.

"Get out of here quick!" Gaim assured them as they fled from the fight of Black Knights and the Inves.

"ALMOND AU LAIT!"

Knuckle released his mechanical fists as they blew through numbers of Inves that were in the way.

Habakiri was seen in the Suika Arms hover model before firing at Berserker Inves and drawing them away from the street.

Zangetsu-Shin studied the number of the Inves are still large at hand, he felt frustrated that neither he or his force can push through the number and reaching the crack where the Inves kept springing from.

"This is a lot more than usual…" Zangetsu-Shin noted at the large horde of Inves being out of the city as they speak.

"Do you think that Overlord is responsible for this?" Kensei's voice from the radio.

Zangetsu-Shin soon saw Inves that we're able to fly are coming after to him and those who are coming out of the building.

"But one thing I don't get is why they need them…" Zangetsu-Shin said before he pushed the lever of his Genesis Driver.

"MELON ENERGY SQUASH~!"

With that, Zangetsu-Shin gives a 360-degree spin and slashing all the Inves that are coming toward him.

"Zangetsu, Baron find the same Overlord from before!" Gaim shouts as this caught the former prince of Britannia's attention.

The sound of the revering engine was heard as Baron was seeing riding her motorcycle and ramming through the Inves that were getting in the way. She then pushed down on the Cutting Blade on her Sengoku Driver.

"COME ON! BANANA SQUASH!"

Her Banaspear glow with intense light as she trusted and impaled through the number of Elementary Inves that were in the way.

That… Baron thought in shock of seeing the same Overlord from afar.

"Wait!" Baron shouts before chasing after the green Overlord.

"It's you again…" The green Overlord said, looking at Baron.

"Is it true that the Golden Fruit could prevent all of this from happening?" Baron asked.

"As long as you wish for it…" The Overlord replied, "Do you wished for me to take you to it?" she offered.

"As long as it will change my world," Baron stated.

"Then followed me…" The Overlord soon opens another crack and guided her and Baron into the forest of Helheim.

Soon Baron noticed in her surroundings that it was in a place she never saw or been before which was a ruin of a castle.

"This is the place where the Golden Fruit was?" Baron inquired before seeing that the Overlord continued onward ahead.

They soon moved to an alley before they spotted something glowing not far from where they were. Floating above what looks like a stone throne was a glowing apple.

"T-That's the Golden Fruit…?" Baron asked with a surprised tone.

"It is. Fortunately, the one who was guarding it seems to be not around." Overlord answered, "This will be the chance to obtains the Golden Fruit. It's yours…"

Baron can't help being worry at first before she slowly approached the fruit above that throne. With it, she would be able to get rid of that Geass controlling her. She could get rid of Inves and make the world…

"KALLEN!" A voice shouts snapped her out of her thoughts. "LOOK OUT!"

She turned around to see Gaim who ran past the Overlord. Coming from above the throne was none other than Demushu with his sword, who slashed her from behind the back and sending her across the floor in the process.

"Kallen!" Gaim shouts, holding her tightly in his arms. "Are you alright?" he asked frankly.

"I…" Kallen uttered before they both hear laughing from the green Overlord. They looked up to see the Overlord was standing with Demushu.

"I can't believe that you fell for it…" The Overlord said in a dark and twist laughing, "Do you think that there is no one around?"

"B-But the Golden Fruit…" Kallen uttered.

The Overlord takes the glowing fruit before revealed it just to be a rotten Helheim fruit. "Not the real one…" she answered.

"You bastards…" Gaim growls, becoming furious.

"Do you think that it's our fault that she believed me so easily about the Golden Fruit will break the control when she wasn't even under in the first place?" The Overlord said, making them look surprised. "She doesn't believe her leader even when he was telling the truth that she wasn't under any influence in the first place!"

"W-What…?" Kallen asked, feeling shell-shocked about what she hears.

"I've seen your world. It's pretty amusing to see you guys slaughtered each other for your so-called victory… just like when I slaughtered my own family and find the joy in that." The Overlord said with a sick and twist tone. "I can still remember their screaming face when I stabbed them more and more… I'm too excited to see how your monkey screams after being killed."

"You guys are nothing more than mere vermin's than being ground to dust," Demushu added.

Gaim wasn't sure why but after what happens to Kallen and getting a more depth understanding of Overlords. He knows one thing… he won't forgive them for what happens or what they intend on doing to their world.

"Y-Your psychopathy….!" Gaim growls, getting up from the ground. "I won't let someone like you do anything with our world! Especially I won't forgive you for toying with Kallen like that!" He declared furious.

"Then this is where you will die…" Overlord stated before summoning numerous of Inves to the area.

"I will make sure that won't happen…" Gaim said, removed his faceplate of his Sengoku Driver. 'Once I see a way out, I am going to make sure Kallen gets help,' He thought to himself.

He soon got out his Genesis Core and placed where his faceplate was. He then got out his Lemon Energy Lockseed and activated it.

"LEMON ENERGY~!"

Suddenly the Lemon Energy Arms appeared above Gaim and the Orange Lockseed closed on its own. This made everyone around looks surprised at the appearance of the Lemon Energy Arms.

Gaim inserted the Lemon Energy Lockseed into the slot of the Genesis Core. Soon the Orange Arms detached from his body and flow above him like the Lemon Energy Arms.

Gaim pressed down his Cutting Blade as this result both Lockseed to open.

"MIX~!"

Soon the Orange Arms and Lemon Energy Arms merge before glowing in a sphere and it re-emerged as a black oblong sphere marked with silver accents. It came back down onto his shoulder before beginning to open. The sides and the front folded together to make shoulder plates and a chest plate while the side around the chest plate would likewise fold out, giving the image of wearing a jinbei. It was yellow and patterned with lemon slices, marked on the left side with his insignia.

The visor remained orange. The helmet attachment was the same except it black with silver accents.

"SOIYA! ORANGE ARMS! HANAMICHI ON STAGE! JIMBER LEMON!"

Splashes of mixed colors appear in his hand before forming into a Sonic Arrow.

"HAW-HAW!"

This is Kamen Rider Gaim Jimber Lemon Arms!

He holds the Sonic Arrow readily in his hand as he glares at the enemies around him. The Inves come charging at him and he started slashing with his Sonic Arrow. He soon spotted Inves coming from the air and pressed down on his Cutting Blade at once.

"SOIYA! ORANGE SQUASH! JIMBER LEMON SQUASH~!"

With the blade of his Sonic Arrow glowed, he released a yellow and orange energy slash into the air. He turned around and pulled the string of the Sonic Arrow while firing several shots that leave the Inves exploded off their feet.

I going to need lessons on how to use a bow if we get out of this… Gaim thought as he sticks with close combat for now. He then pulled out his Musou Saber with his other hand before starting to slash Inves that coming toward his direction.

He turned around and pulled the trigger of the Musou Saber to firing point-blank range at an Inves coming toward Kallen from behind.

"Rai…" Kallen said, struggling to get up spite of her wound, "get out… of here…"

"I won't leave you behind!" Gaim retort as he slashes more Inves that coming toward them. "And I will make sure that you will get help soon enough! I SWORE!" he shouts spite knowing that the number might not go down.

He soon saw a red mist coming his way and intercept when Demushu materialized as their weapons collided with each other.

"Do you think that you can stand up to me, ape?" Demushu inquired.

"I will damn try!" Gaim growls furiously before knocking back the Overlord.

He then pushed down the Cutting Blade on his Sengoku Driver twice.

"SOIYA! ORANGE AU LAIT! JIMBER LEMON AU LAIT!"

Demushu charged forward with his blade as Gaim countered with his Sonic Arrow's blades glowing as they two traded blows to blow with each other. Gaim unleashed an energy slash but Demushu turned into mist and moved out of the way, this lets the Inves behind getting killed in the process.

Gaim moved out of the way when Inves trying to slash him before impaled the gut of the monster with his Musou Saber. He then turned around and slashed another one with his Sonic Arrow before pulled out his Musou Saber once again and pulled the trigger on nearby Inves.

Just then Demushu came back as a mist despite Gaim firing his gun at him before being caught in the crimson mist and was lifted in the air.

"Rai!" Kallen shouted.

Gaim was seen thrown across the ground before trying to get up from the ground. But a Senryu Inves smashed him from the behind, preventing him from getting up before other Inves pulling both of his arms, making Gaim screamed in pain. While other Inves were trying to pull his armor apart from his body.

Is this how far I can go…?

"MELON ENERGY~!"

Suddenly raining down from above the air were green energy arrows that struck Demushu and other Inves in presence.

Coming down from above was none other than Zangetsu-Shin and other Riders being in presence.

"Everyone…" Gaim whispered with a hint of relief.

"Kallen!" Knuckle and Kurokage saw the sight of the redhead figure and runs to her side.

"How amusing…" The Overlord mused, stares at Zangetsu-Shin.

"Get Kozuki back to medical base!" Zangetsu-Shin shouts.

"Understand!" Knuckle nodded before picking up Kallen and hurried to his Dandeliner.

"Gaim, are you alright?" Habakiri asked Gaim who manages to regain his composition and helped him up.

"I'm fine…" Gaim said, slowly.

Soon more Inves appeared as around the Riders. Among them was none other than Demushu who got back up from the ground.

"We're going to make a big getaway before taking off!" Zangetsu-Shin said to others who understand.

"Roger!"

"MELON ENERGY SQUASH~!"

"BLACKBERRY AU LAIT~!"

"MATSUBOKKURI SPARKLING!"

"BUDOU AU LAIT! JIMBER MATSUBOKKURI AU LAIT!"

"BLUEBERRY AU LAIT!"

"ORANGE AU LAIT! JIMBER LEMON AU LAIT!"

The Riders fired their respective attacks and created a large explosion that leads to a mini-chain of explosions around the place. Soon the Riders began to make their run out of the ruins of the forest before a certain crimson mist coming after them from behind.

Zangetsu-Shin turned around in time before standing up to Demushu who swings his blade down at him and their weapons clashed with each other. Gaim soon charged up next before smacked Demushu hard in the face with the Sonic Arrow to knock the Overlord a few feet back.

Ryugen and Kensei send up firing from their respective weapons at the Overlord before Demushu's eyes glow and the trees grabbed the two Riders before lifting them in the air and send them straight to a nearby lake.

Gaim and Zangetsu-Shin fired their arrows at Demushu who used his sword to cut down the attacks. Demushu about to attack them before he stopped.

"No… my … K-King…" Demushu said, holding his head as something was attacking him from within.

"What's going on?" Ryugen asked, confused.

"This happened before…" Kensei said.

"Then this is our chance to attack!" Kurokage said, charging forward with his spear.

Although it a good idea to attack an enemy who was unfocused… before a powerful headache struck him and other Riders before they collapsed straight to the ground.

"AAAAHHH!"

But Demushu soon left the Riders alone by vanished into thin air. It wasn't long until the Riders lost the headache that they were feeling before and slowly regains their senses.

"It finally stopped," Kensei respond.

"Oww… that was worse headache than one from the last hangover I have," Ryugen groan, getting out of the water with Kensei.

"I don't think I wanted that…" Gaim grunted, grabbing onto a tree for support.

No doubt that it was their King who did it… Zangetsu-Shin thought.

"EEPP!?" Others turned to see Kurokage being corner by Habakiri with one of the blades against his throat.

"This is your goddamn fault, Tamaki!" Habakiri hissed, placing one of her blades against Kurokage's throat. "If you hadn't attacked him, then we won't have to go through that!"

"A-A… little help here!" Kurokage pleaded to other Riders.

"Maybe this will be a lesson for causing our headaches," Kensei responds, crossing his arms.

"You're on your own." Ryugen shrugged nonchalantly.

"Sorry Tamaki," Gaim apologized. "What about you, Zangetsu?" he asked.

"As much as I want to say it, but Tamaki… you'll be on bathroom cleaning duty when we get back." Zangetsu-Shin answered, "Come on, let's head back now."

Habakiri glares as Kurokage before removed the blade from his neck as she and others left the world of Helheim behind now.

Back in the base, Rai gave a recount about what happens after he chased after Kallen who was with that Overlord who tricked her.

"So that was a fake, huh?" Ayano inquired.

"But why did the Overlord want to use her for a fake?" Ohgi asked after return from the medical office.

"It's obvious to why they were using her for," Orpheus spoke up, leaning against the wall. "If they have someone who to keep them in charge, they would still want the power to change the world for their twisted pleasure and having someone else do it for them beat being the center attention for everyone. As for fake, it will be a sort of test after they have to watch us fighting against their kind." He explains. He used to see this while working in the underworld.

"The survivors still have greedy after who knows how long… I'm not surprised by this." Todoh said with a neutral expression.

"That sounds quite logical and makes most of the senses," Lelouch said, crossing his arms.

"I won't forgive them for this…" Rai said, clenched his fist hard. "Overlords."

"Rai… it better that we should rest for now as we have more important things to worried about." Lelouch said. "I did not doubt that the Overlords might come again, but it won't do much if none of us have time to rest. And we will also have things important to do here. With how quiet Britannia force was, we still need to gather our strength before meeting head-on."

Rai nodded.

Ohgi soon spoke, "Lelouch… about what happens to Kallen—"

"After what happens to her… she will be suspended from duties as both member of Black Knight and Kamen Rider until she finally calms down and reflects upon her actions." Lelouch said to one of his second in commands who blinks in surprise.

"I see…" Ohgi replied, "Thank you."

In his lab, Lloyd was quietly going over the footage of the Kamen Riders and Black Knights when fighting against the Inves. How he gets this was something intrigue and he never thought to enjoy the moment when that mysterious man offered him a ticket to something beyond his imagination.

"Hehehe… I never imagined that this would be actually fun," Lloyd mused. "Getting new combat data… to finalized my own suit and a Knightmare that superior than their own."

On the side of his computer screens were a blueprint for a new knightmare and a Rider suit that resembled that of Viscount. However, what noticeable that they have in common was the name that they shared…

DUKE

Meanwhile in the same place where the battle was taking earlier, there was someone seen sitting on the throne.

"I'm surprised that you let them fight here despite where she was buried…" Sagara said to the figure who was sitting on the chair. "Do you think about the human world?"

"Hmph. Their world is much divided than our own before you were involved…" The being said, though to be covered in the shadow.

"What do you think about Lelouch? He certainly reminds me of how you were in the past," Sagara said.

"Even if you say that he is like how I was… it's still a long way before I even considered giving any help to the one who has the aura of a king within him," The being replied. "This aura of a king will drive him and others mad eventually before killing others in the loss of madness."

"That might be true… but some of them can overcome the struggle of power that make them solitude from others." Sagara said.

"We shall see about that…" The being said.

Without the event of SAZ... things will go slightly off canon with how Britannia going to do next especially the mental state of Cornelia due to the absence of her sister who was in Black Knights' care as a guest/hostage.
