Toa Solaric: It's been a while, isn't it? I have been busy with real life and usually, but I decided to go back once again with writing.
I don't own either Code Geass or Kamen Rider Zangetsu!
Code Zangetsu: Lelouch of Divine Providence
Interlude 2: The Schemers In Dark
In the comfort of his chair, V.V. was watching his experiment on the big screen of his television before his cellphone rang. The immortal Code Bearer soon picks up the cellphone and answered it after recognizing the numbers.
"Hello?" The male voice asked.
"It's been a while, Shin," V.V. said.
"Indeed, I thought it might be time to ask a favor." The caller revealed.
"Oh? What seems to be the problem?" V.V. inquired.
"You see…" V.V. listened carefully through the caller's situation without any interruption before smirk forms upon his face.
"I see. That is what is going on." V.V. spoke finally, "There is no telling what could happen. But I don't mind offering an olive branch to an ally who is in need." Not to mention that he could also get more results in the process this way.
"Then what day do I expect you or your representative?" The caller asked as V.V. chuckles with a smirk.
"Let's see… what do you think of," They continued talking for a couple of minutes before V.V. ended the call and currently looking over photos on the screen.
"It looks like there are some shown in E.U. after all…" V.V. said with a smirk.
"So Cornelia reaching a point of instability after the disappearance of Euphemia," Charles remarked, not looking surprised by the given information from her.
"There is no remains or leads, I did not doubt that it was that our son might be responsible for it." A small pink hair teenage girl with red eyes replied, standing in front of Charles.
"Unbelievable." The Emperor shook his head as if he were punched drunk, "To think that such an incident that allowed Lelouch obtain a possible advantage over Cornelia. Not to mention his victory against those relics who sold their country to the Federation. How pathetic."
"You highly underestimated our son." The pink hair girl replied with deadpanned expression, "Out of all of your children, Lelouch is more like you than Schneizel! It looks like he catch the attention of that man who give him a tool that is the first tool he acquired to start his conquest."
To this day, Charles still figures out how in the world did Lelouch attract the attention of that individual. Like it or not, that man is certainly not human or a Code Bearer. Whatever he is, he is likely related to those monsters known as Inves. However, there are some sightings of that man around but not enough for him to find a way to capture that man. But it was due to that very encounter, Lelouch was not arrogant, overly prideful, and he engaged in several contingency plans as evidenced by swift reinforcement against the Chinese Federation.
"He is our son." The pink hair girl stated with pride, "He has your superior strategizing skills and genius intellect and my combat instincts! Oh, I am so proud of him."
"If it wasn't for that man's interference, not only Lelouch, but my brother is playing with power that might destroy this very world and possibility Ragnarök Connection." Charles pointed dryly. It is bad that his brother keeps lying to his face whenever his men weren't able to find out anything about where those fruits and creatures were coming from, something about it changed his brother even since that day.
It looks like Ragnarök Connection is more needed than just for their plan to be accomplished.
"If we can beat them, why don't we let them beat each other." The pink hair girl snorted, "Even with all his advantages, V.V. isn't going to leave him be. With the absence of her sister, Cornelia is likely going to pull extreme moves that Lelouch himself might not be able to anticipate. Like it or not, my foolish son will likely get a nasty surprise." She stated coldly that make Charles flinch.
The Emperor is aware that the being within the girl before him wasn't sane. He knew well. After all, she has been part of the plan for the sake of the Ragnarök Connection. Dying hadn't cured her of that little condition.
"I'm surprised that you are willing to allow my brother to deal with Lelouch," Charles stated, seeing her eyebrows narrow further.
"Even though we might not have a choice, but we are NOT killing Lelouch if it can be avoided!" The pink-haired girl continued sharply. "It's bad enough that jealous little troglodyte of a brother of yours has sent assassins after my babies, but I will not let them die unless it is necessary."
"Say… were you aware that my brother nearly splits his head when he trying to separate Lelouch on Kamine Island? My brother was screaming for nearly hours and kept on bleeding…" Charles trying to change the topic.
"HA!" The pink-haired girl hooted in laughter, "V.V.'s plan for that failed? I wished that I could get the look on the split head when his plan failed!"
"There is also something else from one of my spies in Schneizel's peerage, it looks like Wesley survived after all." The Emperor continued.
"Oh? So Odysseus's brat survived after V.V. takes him away? It looks like he might be more than his father could ever be." The pink-haired girl remarked.
Charles snorted. That was putting it mildly. He never expected much from Odysseus than Lelouch or Schneizel, though the incident he could lead to another Blood Emblem if it was brought to the public. He didn't spare him out of mere mercy, but more of usage in his possible plans.
"I had better go. Anya needs her sleep." The pink-haired girl said with a wink, "You are certain that you don't want to send her to Japan instead of Marrybell and her force?"
Charles sigh. "Yes, I am certain. I need Anya –and you— to continue with that investigating going on in the E.U. front. Like it or not, the E.U. has more monsters appeared there and sights of new Riders. I need eyes if my brother going to do there."
"As you wish, Charles." The soul in the girl nodded.
Charles watched Anya leave the room as he sigh to himself. Just a little longer. In just a few more years, they could stop the infestation and create a world without lies…
AN: And that is the end for this Interlude. I apologized for leaving those waiting too long for any update here.
One reason would be how to show things in the E.U. being turned differently with the presence of Inves and Riders. That was originally the meaning for this Interlude to transition the story itself. One thing that I didn't add was having Sagara and a certain Caretaker interacting with each other. To show her displeasure on her thoughts of Sagara's own game and what she is likely doing in hope of slowing down the Helheim Infestation.
Maybe I will have them interact once again in the future chapters after I have better inspiration to motivate me to do so.
As you know, with many things occurs in this story, the first season might likely derail from the original ending that it might have… considered how the Overlord keep making their presence known, I have something in mind… it will likely affect not just Lelouch and his alliance, but the entire world. Lelouch will end up maturing different than what happens in the canon ending of the series and season 2.
That is all I want to say here for my author's note. Anyway, be sure to review or message me with any questions, comments, or concerns.
