"What?" Orion almost slipped from his bed in surprise.
Abraxas replied, "He did. Now he is going out with Connolly."
They were in their dorm. Abraxas was telling Orion about Tom's Hogsmeade date while arranging his trunk.
"But..but I thought he was in love with Evans. Now he moved on to Connolly? Are you sure about this?" Orion asked, still shocked with this news.
Abraxas nodded, "Yes. Cecilia is telling everyone how Tom approached her for this Hogsmeade. Apparently, after Tom asked her, she ditched her latest Griffindor boyfriend telling him that her true love has finally approached her."
Orion scratched his head as he thought about Connolly, then looked back at his friend, "But Abraxy he never paid any attention to her before, remember she asked him about three time for Hogsmeade last year and he didn't even bother to reply, just stood and left as if she was some trash."
"That's why I am also a bit surprised. Between you and me, I think that Evans girl was much better for Tom. Atleast she doesn't change her boyfriend every month." Abraxas shook his head as he thought more about Cecilia, then went back to arranging his trunk.
Orion kept on gazing at the wall, thinking about Tom and his new girl. After few seconds he looked back at Abraxas, "Do you think I can ask Evans out now? "
"What?" Abraxas replied in shock.
Orion just shrugged and said, "She got Tom interested, there must be something about her."
Abraxas started laughing, then shook his head, "You've never spoken to her. She'll turn you down. "
Orion just smirked, "That's why I will be more tactful. I will take help of someone who knows her well, then approach her."
Abraxas just kept on staring at him then rolled his eyes, "Do whatever. But check with Tom if he is okay with .. "
Suddenly, the door opened and Sirius walked in. He looked at both of them then moved towards his trunk.
Orion met Abraxas gaze then jerked his head towards Sirius. Abraxas just shrugged and mouthed, "It's your choice"
Orion looked towards Sirius, who was opening his trunk. "Hey Sirius. May I ask you something ?"
Sirius stared at his father, he hardly spoke to him "Yes fa.. I mean yes Black "
Orion took a deep breath. "I was wondering if you could introduce me to your sister. I wanted to ask her out." He said in one go.
Abraxas hit his head with his palm then shook his head. This was too blunt. He looked at the brother of the said girl, who was doing great imitation of a fish.
Sirius was shocked, he kept on opening and closing his mouth, unable to respond. His father was interested in Harry.. his goddaughter. He was like grandfather to her and wanted to approach her instead of his mother. He was then hit with a thought - his father wanted Harry instead of his mother.
He dropped his book and shouted, "Stay away from her." Then ran out of his dorm.
Both Abraxas and Orion just stared, as Sirius ran out of their dorm after shouting at Orion to stay away from his sister.
Abraxas looked at his friend whose mouth was wide open in shock, "I saw that coming. You were too blunt. And you said you will be tactful. That was the stupidest approach ever. How can you ask the brother of some girl this way about her? And you call yourself a pureblood. " He shook his head and went back to arranging his trunk.
Harry was sitting in her common room staring at some plant, thinking about Tom's question. He was special to her. She knew that they were both attracted to each other. She thought more about their last few meetings.
"Hey Harry"
She broke of from her chain of thoughts and looked towards the person who called her. It was some second or maybe third year witch. "Yeah?"
"Your brother is looking for you. He said he is waiting for you near kitchen entrance."
She thanked that witch, then walked out of her common room towards kitchens. She met Sirius every Sunday in the library, where they discussed their week as well as other things. She started to feel a bit guilty for not telling her godfather about Tom, but she was still a bit apprehensive and wanted some more time to tell him about Tom.
She frowned when she saw her godfather in front of kitchen entrance, he was looking very unsettled and was walking in circles there.
"Is everything fine Siri? You look worried. " She asked as soon as she reached him.
Sirius looked at his goddaughter, then asked "Harry have you ever spoken to my father?"
Her frown deepened "Your father?.. No ". She shook her head.
Sirius sighed in relief then said, "Please promise me that you'll stay away from him."
She just nodded then replied, "Okay. I promise. But what happened?"
He shook his head, "Nothing... I was just worried about something." He then looked back at her and smiled, "So how is everything going?"
She shrugged, "Just fine. I am going to Hogsmeade with Marc."
He then remembered something he forgot to tell her, "Oh I forgot to tell you. I've asked someone for Hogsmeade. Guess who? You'll be shocked. "
Harry thought about the person with whom she would be shocked to see Sirius, then smirked and said, "Is it Walburga Black?"
Sirius glared at his goddaughter, "hahaha..very funny Harry. I would rather drink poison first."
"Then who?"She asked, unable to guess the person who could shock her.
Sirius grinned and replied, "It's Minerva McGonagall."
Her mouth fell open in shock, "Seriously. You're taking professor McGonagall?"
He shook his head, "Not professor... just McGonagall."
She frowned, "But you two are like .. Your animagus is dog and she is cat."
He ran his hand through his hair and said, "That's my charm Harry."
She laughed then shook her head."Yeah right."
Later that evening, Harry was washing her hands in the girls washroom, when someone came and stood next to her. She looked sideways and found Myrtle standing there. For some reason she was glaring at her.
She closed the tap then turned to leave, but Myrtle blocked her way. "Anything you want Myrtle?"
Myrtle glared at her then replied, "Yes. I want my Marcus back you two timing witch."
Instead of getting upset, Harry snorted and replied " Sure, have him. He is all yours. Now can you move out of my way?"
Myrtle screamed in frustration, "You have hoodwinked him just like Riddle. Don't act innocent. I saw you kissing Riddle near Quidditch pitch that day, and that was after Marcus turned me down by saying that you are his date this Hogsmeade. You are playing with my Marcus's heart. I am warning you Evans stay away from him."
Harry just stared at Myrtle and said, "Whatever... just move out of my way." She did not explain herself. She had enough of this. First her dorm-mates and few other witches she met earlier. Now even Moaning Myrtle.
Unable to get the type of response she wanted, Myrtle said "I will tell Marcus all about Tom then he will surely ditch you."
Harry laughed then shook her head, "Sure, go ahead."
Myrtle gritted her teeth, "You.. You are laughing at me." She looked as if she was about to explode but instead she started crying out loud and ran out of there.
Harry just stood there, " Somethings never change."
