Episode 58: Temptation

Whilst Odd would often boast about the Over-Board being the fastest vehicle in their arsenal, this was the time he got to try and prove it, with a swarm of Hornets after him and Aelita in hot pursuit through the forest sector, he quickly swerved at the last second avoiding a tree, but a Hornet could not share this luxury as it smacked into the tree at terminal velocity destroying itself,
"Say Odd why do you always have to wait until the last second" asked Aelita as she held onto him tightly with fear, "because it's more fun, that's why" he replied with half sarcasm half joy, this only served to put Aelita off further, Odd continued to dodge the numerous lasers being fired by the swarm, when the two heard a voice, "you guys might want to pull ahead" said Dallas, the Over-rider was off to the side, but Dallas flicked a switch and the energy wall of energy began to stream from the back of the vehicle, Dallas quickly made a sharp turn and missing Odd and Aelita by only a fraction of a second, numerous Hornets smashed into the energy stream and were destroyed, he pulled up alongside the two, "that's what I'm talking about" he said before shooting forward again and pulling away, Odd smiled before quickly dodging another tree at the last second, "is that what you call fun" asked Aelita who was close to the point of a heart attack at this pace, "Looks more like insanity if you ask me" she add, Odd smiled and laughed saying "oh really, you mean there's a difference, the Hornets continued to fire at the two, when suddenly in the corner of Aelita's eye Yumi's fan flew past and bounced off two trees and deflected back striking the Hornets before returning to her hand, "Thanks Yumi" said Odd as he nodded at her, "don't mention it" she said as she moved to alongside them, whilst on the path Below Ulrich was easily keeping pace with them, he suddenly noticed the last two Hornets were behind him, they opened a barrage of lasers at him but he was easily able to manoeuvre and dodge them, he looked back for a split second before drawing his sword and hitting the brakes, the two creatures were caught off guard by this, Ulrich quickly jumped and then span in a throwing star movement and swiped both Hornets destroying them, "Odd, Aelita, you're only a few minutes from the activated tower" said Jeremie as he looked at the map, "bummer I was just starting to enjoy myself" replied Odd as he dodged yet another tree, "Careful behind you" said Jeremie putting an end to Odd's dodging streak, the laser fired struck the Over-Board, "sorry Aelita, we're gonna have to jump" said Odd as he looked at the slowly disappearing vehicle bellow them, Aelita jumped off landing on the ground, whilst Odd jumped and landed on the side of a tree, Odd Jumped off and moved towards Aelita, they spotted the tower in the distance, then they heard Dallas yell "another customer coming in hot", Odd and Aelita turned around to see more Hornets, but the small swarm was completely destroyed as Dallas quickly flew past them destroying them with the energy stream, "Nice manoeuvring" said Jeremie, Dallas smiled as he got closer to the ground and slowed just enough for him to grab Aelita and allow her to get on the back of the Over-Rider, he then shot forward towards the tower, he stopped at the small logs that acted like stepping stones towards the small island that tower was perched upon, "you go, I'll help the others" said Dallas as Aelita stepped off, he quickly shot off to help Odd with a new swarm of hornets that appeared, Aelita quickly hoped along the logs, but the Scyphozoa moved from behind the tower, its tentacles moved to ensnare Aelita, but Yumi quickly skimmed across the water and threw her fan at the octopus like creature and severed it's appendages, it backed away letting out it's scream as Aelita rushed into the tower, "good job Yumi" said Jeremie as Aelita stepped towards the Centre of the Platform, she began to rise as her head tilted backwards, she quickly landed on the platform and pressed her hand on the screen, the words AELITA followed by Code Lyoko appeared and the aura of the tower changed from red to Blue "All done Jeremie the Tower is deactivated" said Aelita, Jeremie smiled as he said "okay, I'll start the return and get you all home", this confussed the others as they moved towards outside of the tower, they stopped their Vehicles and Odd dismounted the back of the Over-Rider, "really why, XANA didn't even have time to launch an Attack on Earth" asked Yumi, Jeremie only replied with "you can't be too careful", this only served to confuse them further, "uh, may I remind you that going back in time makes XANA stronger" asked Ulrich, but Jeremie was becoming seemingly more frustrated "I know what I'm doing all right" he said, "if you know then explain it to us" said Odd, but Jeremie didn't listen, "Jeremie that's not the point" said Aelita as she looked up, "That's my final answer okay" said Jeremie still ignoring them, "Christ he's gone off the deep end" said Dallas, Jeremie quickly typed and said "return to the past now"…

The Previous morning the warriors except Jeremie met up at the Vending machines, they were both worried and annoyed by Jeremie's actions, Dallas had a multi tool in his hand and tinkering on his left arm blade
"Jeremie's become a real pain, he just flies of the handled for no reason at all" said Ulrich, the others looked at him, "he's like a time bomb" he added, Yumi grabbed a bottle of water, "who knows maybe he's got family problems" she said, "or maybe he's developed a split personality and when the moon is full he becomes the song of Doctor Shrinnk" said Odd making a scare position, "capable of grafting animal body parts onto human beings, and he now knows he must face up to a fate worse than death" added Odd, but this only made the others chuckle, "you've been watching Horror at the hospital again huh" said Ulrich, Odd looked at him and said "how can anyone pass up such a fantastic program", everyone raised their hands with Dallas saying "nothing beats the classics" with a smug grin on his face, he quickly folded and put away the multi tool and zipped up his left sleeve, "there he is" said Ulrich as Jeremie walked over, "how's life Einstein" said Odd but Jeremie ignored him as he walked towards the vending machines, "where were you" asked Aelita, but Jeremie roughly replied "in my room why, there a law against it", the others were annoyed by his tone, "chill will you, we were worried that's all" said Yumi, but Jeremie didn't pay much attention as he replied, "I'm a big boy now so get off my back", Ulrich spoke up saying "you might just have something there with your Doctor Shrinnk theory", the bell then rang, "see I told you so, but now we have a fate worse than death" replied Odd as they walked off, "whats that" asked Ulrich as he threw his cup in the bin, "miss Myers class" said Odd dismally.

The class as usual was boring as all hell; Odd was doodling on a sheet of paper, it appeared to a bear with its arms replaced with large bat wings, Ulrich found this more interesting than what the teacher was saying, Aelita was taking notes as she was one of three who were actually interested in the subject and Dallas had his arm under the table with his jacket sleeve unzipped doing more tinkering, Jeremie however wasn't paying attention, he had his hands to his head, he couldn't think straight, inside his thoughts he was walking through a grey tunnel, behind him was a black corridor and in front of him was a white light, he was slowly walking forward but the blackness behind him began to move towards him consuming the tunnel behind him, this only served to increase his head aches, not being able to take the pain anymore he stood up and said,
"Ma'am" Myers looked at him and said "yes Jeremie", Jeremie didn't even turn to face her as his headache was killing him, "may I go to the infirmary" he asked, Myers became instantly concerned with his well-being, "oh yes… of course" she said worried, Jeremie moved from behind his chairs, "do you want me to come with you" asked Aelita, but Jeremie didn't reply as he walked past her, this only confussed the others.

After classes had ended for the first half of the day Yumi met up with the others minus Jeremie in the canteen, each of them grabbed a plate of food,
"Jeremie skipped history class" asked Yumi as she placed hers on her tray, "and gym class too, and now he's skipping lunch" answered Ulrich as he grabbed his plate, "gym and Lunch I can understand but skipping history class is not Jeremie's style at all" said Odd as he grabbed the plate with the most food on it, "he's been acting weird, he's been up all night on that computer of his" said Dallas as he grabbed a plate and after removing the bread and the bottle of water placed the rest on Odd's tray, "I'm gonna check on him" said Aelita, the others looked at her, theirs eyes read good luck.

Jeremie was typing at an unusually fast pace for himself, whilst he'd usually average 120 words a minute he'd increased that to about 150 going from his pace, Aelita knocked on his door,
"Yes" he said not moving his attention from the computer, Aelita opened the door and held up a brown binder, "It's me I brought the notes from the classes you missed this morning" she said, but Jeremie seemed disinterested as he said "put them down on my bed", Aelita threw them down as she walked towards him, "Jeremie you know if there's anything wrong, you know you can talk to me about it" said Aelita placing her hand on his shoulder, all this seemed to do was infuriate him though, "whats wrong with you guys, I'm just working is all, I've almost found the antivirus, which will free you from XANA isn't that worth spending some time on" said Jeremie angrily, Aelita was becoming upset, "yes of course, but you've been acting strange recently, you should take a break from time to time" she said in an attempt to calm him down, but all this did was make things worse, "oh yeah, does XANA take breaks no, so what do you want, for XANA to steal your memory" said Jeremie as he turned back to face her, but she was already half way out of the door, "I really don't want to lose you Jeremie, and I can hardly recognise you anymore" she said trying to seem assertive, Jeremie realised he'd hurt her feelings and stood up saying "Aelita, there's something I have to tell you", but then the super scan detected a tower, "You see I told you XANA never takes a break" said Jeremie as the tower was activated.

Everyone but the warriors had left the Canteen; the only other person was lunch lady Rosa, she was picking up the condiments that were left on the tables, Odd was finishing off his and other peoples food,
"Sure you're done now, I mean I'm pregnant and you eat more than me" said Yumi, Odd simply rolled his eyes and carried on eating, then they heard a phone ring, Yumi picked up her phone to hear "SOS XANA", Yumi as annoyed by the latest attack, "okay Jeremie we're on the way" said Yumi as she hung up, "XANA's launched an attack" she said to the others as they stood up, then they heard a voice say, "You over there sit back down", they looked to see Rosa had been taken over by XANA, "I said sit down" she added as she threw a plate towards them it missed but it smashed into the wall, Yumi and Ulrich ducked as Odd moved under the table, Dallas quickly pulled it down using it as cover for them, before moving behind before another plate could be thrown at him, "I shouldn't have said her mash Potato's look like barf I guess" said Odd, Dallas grabbed his crossbow and crouched above cover firing a bolt at Rosa, but the bolt fazed through her, "son of a" he said as he moved back behind cover, "you three cover me, I'll try and reach Jeremie and Aelita at the factory" said Yumi, Dallas looked at Rosa who was throwing more plates, "alright now's as good time as any" he said as he unzipped his left sleeve, "whats that" asked Odd noticing what Dallas had been tinkering with, "hopefully our way out of here" said Dallas as he raised his arm, it appeared to be a wound up cable attached to the right side of his blade, at the end of the small cable was a grapple, Dallas quickly dived from cover, Rosa threw a plate at him but she missed, Yumi took this moment and ran out of the back door, Rosa was angered by this and moved towards Odd and Ulrich angrily, "here goes nothing" said Dallas as he raised his arm and pulled the small trigger, the cable launched from the holster and stretched across the room and the grabble lodged itself into the fall, Rosa failed to notice and as she got closer, Dallas pulled the cable tripping her up, Odd and Ulrich stood up throwing plates at her, "GO, I'LL TAKE CARE OF HER" shouted Dallas as he moved towards her and wrapped the cable around her neck before tightening his grip and pulling with his hand, she grasped the cable un able to breath, but XANA was keeping her active, "now we know how we feel with your cooking" quipped Dallas.

At the factory Jeremie and Aelita had already arrived, the former was sitting at the computer console whilst Aelita was in the scanner room sitting on the hatch,
"The towers in the Mountain sector" said Jeremie as he was eager and ready to go, but Aelita was more sceptical, "we'll just have to wait for the others" said Aelita, as the elevator opened Jeremie said "what're the others doing", then Yumi spoke up as she, Ulrich and Odd stepped out, "we're here Jeremie, but Dallas is holding off the problem" she said, Odd helped her to a scanner whilst Ulrich said "XANA has possessed Rosa", Jeremie knew this gave them enough time, "hurry up, I'm starting the virtualization process" said Jeremie as they stepped into a scanner each, "Transfer Yumi, Transfer Ulrich, Transfer Aelita, Transfer Odd" he said as he selected their ID cards, "Scanner Yumi, Scanner Ulrich, Scanner Aelita, Scanner Odd" he added as they began to spin and rise, "Virtualization" said Jeremie, they felt the blast of air and their blue squared outlines appeared, they gain detail and dropped to the ground, on one of the rare occasions the tower was in sight, "the activated tower should be straight ahead" he said but Yumi spoke up and said "we can see it Jeremie, but there's also an army of monsters", Ulrich looked at the two moving walls of Kankrelots as one set stepped forward, "this isn't good" he said as they quickly moved behind cover, "Ulrich do you think you can take them out" asked Odd, Ulrich smiled and drew his Katanna and shouted "SUPERSPRINT" he quickly ran from behind the rock and was about to strike each of the front row, but each row fired a barrage of Lasers and struck Ulrich he was knocked backwards and devirtulized, "Ulrich" said Yumi as his blue square outline faded away, the front row of Kankrelots fired a laser each, then between the gaps the second row stepped forward and fired a shot, they continued to alternate with this strategy, "Yumi, Aelita, Odd are you okay" asked Jeremie, Odd looked out from behind the rock, but this resulted in his head nearly being shot off by a laser, "between a rock and a hard place" said Odd, "it'd be a lot better if we had our vehicles" said Yumi, Jeremie smiled and began typing "coming right up" he said as the elevator opened and Ulrich walked out.

Back in the Cafeteria, Rosa had broken free of the cable and was moving away from Dallas towards the cutlery tray, Dallas quickly rewound the cable, and Rosa quickly drew a butcher knife and held it downwards by the handle, She charged at him and swung the knife, But due to the larger size of Rosa, XANA was still slow, Dallas was quickly able to dodge each swing, he quickly ducked from the first swing, he side stepped as she lunged at him, Dallas quickly twisted his leg and spun into the air, he raised his leg for the fake out with the left leg before kicking with his right, but Rosa grabbed his left leg and stabbed the knife into his knee, Dallas screamed as he dropped to the floor, Rosa laughed as he crawled away behind cover,
"Son of a bitch" he said as he grabbed the knife and pulled it from his knee, he grabbed his phone and dialled the factory number, "Einstein she's hit the Achilles heel, I ain't much use right now" he said but his phone was grabbed and smashed by Rosa, Dallas quickly dived and extended his arm firing the cable forward and pulling himself along as Rosa stabbed downwards at him, "Dallas, Dallas?" said Jeremie as he looked at the screen, he then turned and looked at Ulrich, "I'll go and help him" said Ulrich as he moved towards the elevator, "Here you go guys, better hurry Dallas may not be able to hold out for much longer" said Jeremie as Over-Wing and the Over-Board virtualized, "no kidding all we need now is some sandwiches for a nice picnic" said Yumi as Aelita looked around the corner of the boulder, the Kankrelots were still advancing on them, "we'll never get through" said Aelita, then it occurred to Yumi, "don't tell Dallas or Ulrich I did this" she said as she placed her hands on her head, "don't tell them what" asked Aelita, suddenly Yumi began to glow and the boulder began to levitate slowly, Odd quickly raised his arm and drew the distraction of the monsters as he fired laser arrow after laser arrow at them, Yumi quickly moved her arms back then in a throwing motion, the boulder shot forward like a bowling ball and flattened everything in its path, each of the monsters tried to move but it was pointless they were flattened and destroyed the same as the rest, "there's our window" said Odd as they mounted their vehicles, he went forward first to clear any stragglers, Yumi and Aelita quickly made a dash for the tower, the scattered monsters were unable to shoot at them as they were unable to get a baring at the fast moving target, back in the Cafeteria, Dallas stumbled to his feet and was dragging his left leg, Rosa grinned as she moved towards him, "hurry Aelita" said Odd as she dismounted from the Over-Wing, she rushed into the tower, she quickly moved towards the centre of the platform and began to rise, meanwhile Rosa picked up a table and charged Dallas, "fuck it" he said under his breath, he quickly moved and jumped flipping in the air, and as the two collided, Dallas's feet punctured the table and snapping it in two before striking Rosa, both fell to the floor, Dallas screamed as his leg was in more pain than he'd in a long time, Aelita placed her hand on the screen and the words AELITA followed by Code Lyoko appeared and the aura of the tower changed from red to Blue, Rosa suddenly stopped moving having been knocked unconscious, "Jeremie I think this calls for a return to the past don't you" said Odd as he flew up to the remaining monsters and fired a laser arrow at one destroying it, "right I'm launching it, get ready, return to the past now" said Jeremie as he hit enter…

Earlier that day the warriors minus Jeremie were standing at the vending machines, Ulrich was holding Dallas's leg horizontally as he wrapped a bandage around his knee,
"Whats he up to, he should be here already" said Ulrich as he let go as Dallas had finished, "why don't we go check his room" said Aelita, the warriors threw away their empty cups and moved towards the dorm building, watching from a distance Adam smiled before passing into an electrical box, Evelyn watched and walked away, Dallas opened the door to his room and said "Come on Einstein", "Jeremie" said Aelita with shock as Jeremie laid passed out on the floor, Dallas rushed over dropping to the floor and grabbing his wrist and felt for a pulse.

The Warriors quickly moved Jeremie to the infirmary, Nurse Dorothy looked at him confussed, Jeremie looked like he hadn't drunken or eaten in days, his skin looked wrinkly,
"Jeremie, wake up, it's awful, Aelita's fallen in love with herb" said Odd in an attempt to frighten him awake, "no reaction" said Odd, Dorothy quickly grabbed a phone and dialled a number, "right I'm calling the hospital" she said, Aelita noticed his eyes twitching beneath his eye lids, "look his eyes are moving" she said, Dorothy looked at him, "he must be dreaming" she said, but in actuality Jeremie found himself in the Tunnel again, he was moving quicker towards the light at the end, but once again the darkness began to spread outwards and he was engulfed by the darkness, meanwhile Aelita and Odd stepped outside of the infirmary, Ulrich and Yumi were waiting, "what could have happened" asked Ulrich, Aelita shut the door behind her, "something must have happened during the last return to the past" said Aelita, Yumi said what no one wanted to hear, "XANA", Aelita shook her head saying "I have no idea, but I think it's worth checking out the super computer", Odd followed her and said "I'll go with you", Yumi looked down before Ulrich realised the stress it was causing her, "I think you should wait here, I'm gonna go help Dallas check out their room" he said as he looked at her on his knees, "okay, I'll keep an eye on Jeremie" she said as she took a deep breath.

Dallas flipped Jeremie's mattress and looked underneath, he moved away and towards the computer, he looked at the screen, he quickly placed his hand on the screen it was unusually warm, he closed his eyes and everything went silent, he then opened and everything was darker and blue, he moved around and looked at the USB ports on the side of the screen, he noticed that one of them was burnt out, he then closed his eyes and opened them again and everything was normal,
"Found anything" asked Ulrich as he walked in shutting the door behind him, "just a warm Computer monitor and a fired USB port" said Dallas before looking at Ulrich and saying "XANA's calling card", he then sat down and loaded the super scan, "could it be XANA" asked Ulrich, Dallas looked back at him, "activating three towers in as many days, if it is, it's draining a lot of resources" he said, the scan come up with no activated towers, "Jesus fucking Christ" said Dallas as he closed it down, "nothing, what the hell is going on" asked Ulrich, Dallas then noticed something about the keyboard he flipped it over and noticed that Jeremie had removed a small section before adding it back in, Dallas was confussed as he removed it, just the shell of the keyboard came off and a memory stick was stuck to the shell, "what on earth" asked Ulrich, Dallas looked back at him, "he's smarter than we thought" he said.

At the factory they hadn't run into much success they'd checked the super scan themselves and nothing had come up as conclusive,
"Nothing, I've checked the logs and everything's normal, their certainly was a major discharge of energy during that last return to the past though" said Aelita as she looked at the logs, "but they're no different than any of the previous returns to the past" she added Odd leaned in, "is it possible that the stress is getting to him" he asked, but then the phone opened up, "Ulrich" asked Aelita, "we need you, the ozzie's found something and we need your help" said Ulrich, Aelita looked back at Odd, "the Ozzie?" she asked, Odd rolled his eyes and said "we're on our way".

Aelita plugged in the USB flash drive and a window opened up containing a passcode lock, and unfortunately no hint, Aelita quickly typed in a few passcodes in an attempt to work it out,
"There I got it" she said as the window opened up showing numerous video files, "it wasn't easy but I got it" said Aelita, Dallas leaned in and looked at them, "the Beginning, start there" he said, Aelita clicked on the file, it opened to show Jeremie in the room and in front of the computer, "Today I have decided to start a video Journal, a bit like the one Franz Hopper kept, this way if anything happens to me, someone will be able to continue my research, my search to find the anti-virus, to free Aelita from XANA has never been closer to total success, thanks to Franz Hoppers Diary and thanks to the Data recovered from Sector 5, that I've been able to develop a way to use the returns to the past to increase my mental capacity" said Jeremie in the video, the others were shocked, "that's why he's been so insistent on returns to the past" said Ulrich, Dallas looked away knowing that he was carrying guilt, "I should've watched him and kept an eye on him" he said, then Aelita looked at the end of the video, Jeremie was holding a strange object, "a neural headset" she said, the others looked around, "I can't see anything" said Odd, Dallas then moved towards the poster on the wall, "oh Einstein" he said as he carefully moved the poster, and in the hole in the wall he'd created, Dallas found a case, "we'll I'll be dammed" he said as he opened it and pulled out the headset, "open the last file" said Odd, Aelita quickly moved to it and looked at the date, "this ones from yesterday" she said, she clicked on it and it opened to Jeremie using the headset, "Every subsequent use of the headset my Mental and Physical health deteriorates, but the rate my research is progressing is worth the risk, I refuse to stop this close to success" said Jeremie then the video ended "that's all we needed" said Ulrich, Odd spoke up "I say we go to the factory and conduct a scan on him" he said, then Ulrich's phone rang, "Ulrich, it's Jeremie, they're taking him to the hospital" she said, Ulrich was shocked as he hung up.

Yumi was standing by Jeremie as they moved his bed into the ambulance,
"I'm sorry ma'am you can't stay with him" said JP, but Yumi wouldn't move away, "you've got till I get these forms signed" said JP as he moved away, inside the front of the ambulance the radio sparked and Adam formed in the driver's seat, he quickly sparked the vehicle and the back door shut, "what the" said JP as he looked at the vehicle, Adam smiled and put his foot down as he drove off, the other rushed over, "son of a…" said Ulrich, then he looked at Delmas, where's Yumi and Jeremie" he asked, Delmas could only point at the ambulance, "XANA" said Odd, Dallas suddenly looked angry, "Get to the factory" he said as he clicked his neck, "what're you gonna do" asked Aelita but Dallas didn't answer as he rushed towards the Garage, "better get moving" said Aelita as she and the others rushed towards the woods, Dallas however opened up the Garage and placed his crossbow in the hold, he quickly started the engine and roared out of the Garage and was moving onto hot pursuit, he noticed the Ambulance moving along the road opposite the school, he quickly drove towards it and using the hill like surface in the grounds he quickly ramped into the air and over the fence, Adam looked in the rear view mirror, "this'll be fun" he said as he put his foot down and began to speed through traffic, "LET US OUT" said Yumi as she banged on the glass between them, "oh no XANA's got plans for you" replied Adam, Dallas wasn't quick to give up as he moved through the traffic swerving narrowly avoiding traffic, he quickly dodged a few cars speeding past them, he quickly reached over and unzipped his left sleeve before roaring forward towards the ambulance, he shook his head as he knew he was about to do something stupid, suddenly a car came out of nowhere, Dallas collided head on, he was thrown into the air, but before the Ambulance could speed off, he quickly fired the grapple and it locked around the wing mirror, he was suddenly being pulled and dragged by the ambulance, but he was skidding across the ground by his left arm, passers-by watched the chaos, as all Dallas could do was shout "CONFUCUMAS".

The others having arrived at the factory were standing in the scanner room, Aelita was quickly setting the virtualization program on a timed delay,
"Odd, Ulrich are you in position" asked Aelita a she typed as fast as she could under the stress, "ready" they said one after the other, Aelita hit enter and the timer began, "virtualization in 1 minute" she said as she moved towards the hatch, she quickly climbed down the ladder as she stepped into a scanner, the timer hit zero as the scanners shut, the three began to spin and rise, they then felt the blast of air and they were sent to Lyoko, their blue squared outlines appeared and gained detail before dropping to the ground, "the towers that way" said Aelita as she pointed towards it in the distance, "sorry I couldn't materialize the vehicles we'll have to go on foot" she added as she shrugged her shoulders, she quickly dashed off with Odd and Ulrich following close behind, back in the Ambulance Yumi had given up smashing her fists onto the glass and looked out back to see Dallas bouncing and skidding across the road, Adam looked in the rear-view mirror and smiled menacingly as he gave a sharp turn, the cable straightened as Dallas was thrown through a window and dragged throw the building and pulled out again, people screamed as he flew back onto the streets, "YUMI" he shouted to no avail, he then quickly raised his right hand and quickly discharged eagle sense, he propelled himself towards the right, he did it again, suddenly he was moving to the front of a restaurant, he quickly propelled himself up and planted his feet down on a tray being held by a waiter, he was launched forward but was now grinding on the tray behind the ambulance, sparks exploded from the speed, Dallas quickly twisted his arm around the cable before reaching around with his other arm and began pulling himself along.

Back on Lyoko the others were rushing along a small ice path towards the tower, the ice sector had been updated, water had arisen around the platos but the effects were not immediately lethal, if anyone fell in, they could get out again, but they could still down and freeze to death, they stopped at a larger section as they noticed numerous Tarantulas led by Evelyn guarding the tower, the creatures roared as Evelyn drew her musket,
"I got an Idea" said Ulrich, Odd looked at him and said "I love it when you say that", Ulrich then drew his Katanna and stabbed it into the ice, he twisted the blade and the ice began to crack and break apart, Odd smiled and raised his arm, "Laser arrow" he said as he fired numerous arrows into the cracks opening them further, Ulrich then turned his blade again and the Plato began to break apart and snap into small sections drifting apart, a couple of tarantulas fell into the icy water and were destroyed, Ulrich smiled as they'd taken out one third of the monsters, Evelyn lost her balance dropping her musket into the water, Ulrich quickly moved as one of the cracks opened below him, "any more bright ideas" said Aelita as their situation had worsened.

Dallas managed to reach the end of the cable and grabbed onto the wing mirror, he quickly retracted the cable before tearing the door of the side of the ambulance, Adam looked at him and reached for his revolver, but Dallas grabbed his arm and pushed it away and Adam fired into the windshield, Dallas began punching him, but Adam punched back knocking him down,
"You won't stop us this time" said Adam as he began to choke Dallas, but he quickly unwound his cable without Adam noticing, he then head-butted Adam and turned the tables on him, holding Adam by the door but he wouldn't budge as he began to push back, Dallas then grabbed the cable and wrapped it around his neck tightening it, "You won't win" shouted Adam with no effect from the cable, Dallas then unclipped the mechanism and held it with his hand, he rewound the cable in an attempt to choke Adam, but it had no effect, Dallas then disconnected the cable and kicked Adam forward but he stopped himself from falling out, Dallas grabbed the other end of the cable and from his pocket another grapple, he then clipped it on the end, Adam grabbed him and the two fell to the side as the Ambulance sharply turned, Dallas placed the cable back inside the mechanism, "you won't stop XANA's plans" said Adam as he tightened his grip on Dallas's neck, Dallas raised his arm towards the door, and said "yippy Ki yay" he pulled the trigger and fired the cable, suddenly the mechanism was pulled from his hand tearing his finger off in the process and with the force Adam was pulled from the Ambulance cab and was struck by an oncoming car, "mother fucker" said Dallas as he looked back at the mess before at his hand, he moved towards the window, "Yumi, are you okay" asked Dallas, Yumi was relieved to see him, "I'm fine, a few bruises but I can't wake Jeremie" said Yumi as she kept nudging him, "I know I told you not to, but place your hands on Jeremie's head" said Dallas, Yumi was confussed, "what" she asked, Dallas looked forward and noticed the van was going towards the river, "do it, and use telekinesis it should clear his head, I'm hoping" said Dallas as he got in the driver's seat and tried slamming the breaks but to no avail, Yumi quickly did as Dallas said.

Jeremie found himself in the corridor again, he looked around as the darkness had consumed everything, the only thing he could see was the light at the end, and he looked back as something appeared to move in the shadows, Jeremie quickly began running as more began to move from the shadows, he quickly moved as they began to spawn in front of him, the light seemed to be moving away from him, but there wasn't much of an alternative, suddenly he was tripped up as one emerged from the ground, he looked back accepting his fate, but then suddenly as if from nowhere a figure that he recognized emerged and grabbed him from the ground and carried him under his arm, Jeremie looked at him,
"Dallas" he asked but there was no reply as Dallas began to trail eagle sense and was running at a faster pace than the light was getting away, he suddenly threw Jeremie forward who began to run at the same pace with Eagle sense trailing from him, but he didn't question it as he passed into the light, he shot forward from in the bed, breathing heavily, "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK JUST HAPPENED" shouted Jeremie as his skin returned to normal, "Jeremie" said Yumi as she grabbed him, "why was Dallas in my head" he asked coughing, Yumi smiled and said "I sent you a protector", Jeremie looked at Dallas throw the cab window and realised the situation, "oh shit" he said, suddenly the Ambulance went through the railing and was thrown into the river, Dallas tried moving away out of the cab but the water rushing in was two great and he was pushed back and flooded in, "DALLAS" screamed Yumi as she watched him drown, although she knew he would live, it was painful for him and for them to watch him die.

The warriors looked around on the Plato, Evelyn quickly jumped from once ice platform to another getting closer to them,
"Anyone have any ideas" asked Odd, then one of the remaining Tarantulas fired a few shots hitting Ulrich, and devirtulizing him, "man that was not cool" said Odd as he turned back and looked at the monsters, Ulrich emerged from the scanner and stumbled towards the Elevator, Odd jumped from the platform and landed on a platform with a Tarantula on it, "watch out" said Aelita as Odd and the monster were face to face with each other, Odd was slipping off the platform as the balance was being knocked off as he landed, Odd clawed into the platform before firing a laser arrow at the foot of the creature, it raised onto its hind legs as it screamed, causing the balance to tip and the creature began to full into the water, Odd quickly climbed onto the side and jumped onto another platform as it levelled out again, in the computer room Yumi was screaming into her phone and the noise was coming out of the computer, "ULRICH ODD, AEITA ARE YOU THERE" she shouted as the door opened and Ulrich rushed to the chair, he grabbed the headset and sat down, "Yumi are you okay" he asked, "to tell the truth no" she replied.

"now the problem is how to reach the tower" said Odd as he looked around as he began to float away, "yeah and fast, the others have gone for a dip in an ambulance at the bottom of the river" said Ulrich, Odd looked at the remaining problems, "just a Tarantula and the bitch to get rid of" he said, the creature fired at Odd but he raised his arm and said "shield" then his armour grew from his skin and a shield appeared, the blast was deflected, Odd quickly dropped the shield and fired back at the creature, "Odd leave it to me" said Aelita as she dropped to her knees and began to sing crafting a bridge between her platform and the mainland, Evelyn ran towards her but was caught as the ice bridge formed around her, "nice one" said Odd as Aelita began to run up the bridge, the creature then shot and devirtulized Odd as he was distracted, the creature then turned its attention to Aelita and fired at her, but it missed and caused her to slip and slide down the bridge, suddenly she quickly slid into a passage way and ran into the tower, she stumbled towards the centre and began to elevate to the top platform, she planted her feet and placed her hand on the screen, the words AELITA followed by Code Lyoko appeared and the aura of the tower changed from red to Blue, "Yumi we got it, Aelita's deactivated the tower" said Ulrich, Yumi looked around her and said "great now we can drown in peace", Ulrich became heavily concerned, "Ulrich we're still at the bottom the river, the only thing that can save us now is the return to the past" added Yumi, Ulrich looked at the keyboard, "I need Jeremie's notes otherwise I can't do it" he said then Jeremie grabbed Yumi's phone, "Ulrich I need you to do exactly what I say okay" said Jeremie, Ulrich quickly began typing, "yeah great, uh huh, good, okay, wait slow down" said Ulrich as he began to stumble his fingers, "wait I don't see it" said Ulrich, Jeremie quickly replied, "on the right the jump button" but the phone went dead as it was engulfed by water, "return to the past now" said Ulrich as he hit enter, the white flashed engulfed the area resetting the day…

"don't tell me he's…" started Ulrich, but they were caught off as Dallas threw up some of the river water, including a small fish, "uh that's been wiggling around for a while" he said, the others were disgusted, as they walked away and headed to Jeremie's room, Aelita knocked on the door again, "Jeremie no" she said as Jeremie had the headset in his hands but he dropped it and smashed it into pieces, "I just checked the fucking calculations I made, I did over the past few fucking weeks, most of them are fucking wrong" said Jeremie, Dallas raised his eyebrows saying "do you kiss your mother with that mouth" he asked, Odd stepped forward, "so you were destroying your health without improving your brain power" said Odd, Yumi stepped forward and asked "do you think that XANA had something to do with it", Jeremie shook his head, "he certainly enabled the addiction, but the info came from Franz Hoppers diary" he said, "in some way then we have more than one enemy" said Ulrich, the others however were sceptical, "Hopper, he's certainly not our enemy but his idea's our out of our league" he said as he kicked the remains of the headset, "for now, the important thing is you get back to being your old self again" said Aelita smiling at his recovery.
