Episode 59: A Bad Turn

Just wanna say this chapter is gonna be radically different from the source, so be prepared, also this is another chapter that I've had planned since day one so expect a good one and a few surprises.

Jeremie quickly moved the hatch; we stepped out of the sewer and helped Aelita out then Yumi, Ulrich and Odd followed next, Ulrich then shut the manhole, Dallas had decided to stay at the factory for some unknown reason, Ulrich looked at the others and said,
"I'll meet you guys later I need the bathroom", he quickly shot off as fast as he could without using super sprint, Yumi waited until he was at a safe distance away, "whats wrong Yumi" asked Jeremie as he noticed she was acting weird, "can you guys keep a secret" she asked, Odd joked and said "we kept your pregnancy from Ulrich didn't we", this earned him a slap around the back of the head from Aelita who then pocketed her hand, "I feel like my pregnancy is putting pressure on Ulrich" she said, Aelita looked back to see if he was in sight, "he seems okay, but I don't see what the problem would be" she said, Odd spoke up again "he hasn't said anything to me about it" he said before stepping away making sure he wasn't slapped again, "I think he needs some space" said Yumi as they started to walk towards the dorm building, "I mean it's the only thing I can think off to let some pressure off his of shoulders" she said as they entered the building.

Ulrich entered his room having been into the woods and back to make sure the others weren't still there,
"Took you long enough" said Odd as he laid on his bed in his nightwear with Kiwi on his chest, "well I check if you were in still in the woods dumb ass" said Ulrich as he sat down on his bed, "is Yumi okay" he asked, Odd looked at him, "yeah she's fine, she just wants to give you some space" he said as he stroked Kiwi's head, "what" said Ulrich straightening up, "Yeah she said you seemed under pressure because of her pregnancy" said Odd, Ulrich was frustrated by this, "our pregnancy Odd, Our pregnancy, I can't believe she thinks I'm pressured by it" he said as he rubbed the back on his head in frustration, "calm down it'll be fine" said Odd, Ulrich wasn't so sure though.

Dallas emerged from in sewers, he was exhausted but had a smile on his face none the less, he quickly closed the manhole behind him,
"Do you always play in the sewers at night" said a familiar voice, Dallas turned around, "what're you doing out this late" said Dallas as he moved towards Abbie, "I went for a walk same as you appear to be" she said as the two hugged, "besides it's a good night for a walk" she said as the two moved away for a second, Abbie sat down under a tree where she could see the full moon that lit up the sky, she patted next to her, Dallas walked over and sat down, she placed her head on his shoulder, "what do you do at nights" she asked as she looked up at him, "whatever tends to happen, I just let life be my guide" he replied as he placed his arm around her, "can we be honest with each other" she asked, Dallas looked down at her, "what do you mean I've nothing to hide" he said, Abbie scratched the back of her head, "well I mean can I be honest with you" she said correcting herself, Dallas's heart began to race, that usually meant bad news, "sure" he said before thinking why did he say that, "I'm jealous of the way you are with your friends" she said, Dallas laughed and said, "what because I spend so much time with them", she shook her head the best she could, "no just that you have friends I'm not very sociable" she answered, Dallas pulled her tighter, "if you want you can hang around with us, just be careful of Yumi, don't get on her bad side" he said laughing making it sound like it was fear, "the other thing is, I'm scared when you fight" she said, Dallas realised the genuine concern, "I'm fine, I mean I survived a murder attempt, I can take a few punches" he said, she was still visibly worried, "come here" he said as he kissed her and the two decided to stay under the tree for the night.

Yumi looked down at her slightly bulging stomach rubbing it, Aelita smiled as she pulled her shirt over her head,
"Still worried about Ulrich" she asked as she sat down next to Yumi, "yeah a bit, I'm not sure giving him space is a good idea, he can be hot headed sometimes" said Yumi, Aelita shook her head, "yeah he can be, but it's usually William that causes it" she added, Yumi rolled her eyes knowing that, "enough of this, I have something to ask you" she said, Aelita was scared slightly, "me" she said surprised, "yes you" said Yumi laughing, Aelita was confussed, "well after thinking it over, I want you to be the Childs god mother" said Yumi, Aelita was confussed and asked "whats that", Yumi smiled at her naivety "It means that you're a part of the Childs life growing up, it's a big and personal responsibility, which is why I've asked you" she said, Aelita hugged Yumi tightly, "yes" she said with a tear in her eye, "I will" she said as she moved away wiping her tears, "welcome to the family" said Yumi as she rubbed Aelita's chin.

The Next Day Delmas had called most of the students out to the running track outside of the gym, many of them had no idea why, but as they say a traffic officer standing holding a clipboard in front of a Toyota AE86 with a carbon Bonnet, the paint scheme was white on top but the base was black,
"well this should be interesting" said Odd as the warriors and Abbie sat down on the bleachers, Ulrich was sitting on the opposite side of the group than Yumi as he was still clearly upset with what she said, "as many of you are already driving scooters, and in one case a motor cycle" said Delmas, causing Dallas to look sheepish, "at this stage I don't think it'd be a waste of time to go over the rules of the road" he added, Yumi waved at Ulrich but he ignored it, William looked up at them noticing this "this training day will familiarize you with how to operate a vehicle" said Delmas before turning and extending his arm towards the traffic officer, "Assistant warrant officer Garret here has agreed to take you under his responsibility today" he added, Garret nodded his head at the students, "our physical education teacher will assist you as well" added Delmas, but strangely Jim was acting weird, "Corporal Jim Morales, seventh engineering battalion service number, nine, two, two, one sir" he said as he saluted Garret, "at ease" he said awkwardly before asking, "you were in the army", Jim realised he'd let on a bit too much and said "I'd rather not talk about it", Adam who was sitting at the end of the bleachers with Evelyn and the rest of Sissi's group looked at his watch, "whats up" asked Evelyn, Adam looked at her, "we may need to buy some more time" he said before grinning.

"Driving any vehicle is serious business the loss of concentration can be dangerous" said Garret as the students lined up, Yumi grabbed Ulrich and pulled him towards her, "Hey, Ulrich whats wrong are you sulking or what" she asked, but Ulrich pulled his arm away, "I don't know I thought you wanted to give me some space" he said as he moved away again, "I'm gonna call you one by one to take a drive around the circuit" said Garret as he held up the clipboard, "Delmas, Elizabeth" he said, Sissi stepped towards the car and opened the door, before noticing that since the car was Japanese the wheel was on the other side, "stupid design" she said as she walked around to the other side and stepped into the car, "I prefer Sissi" she said as Garret sat down and buckled his seat belt, "what about you do you have a nickname" she said, but he didn't respond, Sissi then looked out the back, but she didn't put it in reverse and she shot forward crashing into the rubber cones and the mock up lamp post, failing, Sissi walked back as the others laughed at her, "Della-Robia, Odd" said Garret, Odd stopped up and walked to the car, Odd did better than Sissi, he drove erratically yelling "YEAHHHH", but he didn't manage to crash, "Ishiyama, Yumi" said Garret, Yumi however was having trouble with the car as she couldn't get the clutch to work, "Pichon, Herb" said Garret, Herb did worse than most, he kept on stalling the car, and barely managed to go further that ten feet, "Stones, Aelita" Called Garret, Aelita did okay but she was bored by the routine, during his turn Adam decided to show off a bit and to drive fast whilst using the cigarette lighter, he finished and stepped out Garret quickly said "Marshal, Dallas" but before he stepped in the car he turned to reprimand Adam, "that was foolish behaviour young man" he said as Adam looked at Dallas and said "beat that", Dallas smiled as he slid over the hood and got in the driver's seat, Dallas adjusted the mirror, before turning the key, "what're you doing" asked Garret, Dallas looked at him before placing his hands at ten and two, Dallas then put his foot down, "HEY" shouted Garret as Dallas came up to the first turn, he quickly slowed down and pulled up the hand brake and turned, the Car skidded as Dallas moved into a drift, the others were amazed as he straightened out before moving into and out of the cones, Dallas then repeated the drift manoeuvre, the warriors smiled knowing Dallas was just showing off at this point, he saw the third turn coming up fast, he then quickly put his foot down and before he reached it, he pulled up the handbrake and began to drift again, but instead off straightening out again he carried on drifting around the section, everyone stood in amazement and the skill as Dallas came around the fourth corner before straightening the car out, he parked up and stepped out to everyone speechless, except Garret who was fuming, Dallas chucked him the keys, "you might want to change those tires" said Dallas, Garret looked at the scuffed tires.

As William took his turn around the track and after Dallas had been given a severe warning, he sat with the others who'd been around,
"How do you do that" asked Odd, Dallas laughed and said, "after the way I was raised you'd be surprised", then they heard a shouting "MARSHAL" shouted Adam angrily, "here we go" said Aelita, Adam pushed past some people, "lets settle this" said Adam, Dallas stood up clicking his fingers with his thumb, "well if you feel like picking up your teeth with broken finger" he said causing the others to chuckle, "oh no, the housing construction bring something other than the bike" said Adam as he walked away, "why should I, I got nothing to prove" said Dallas as he turned back to the others, "Because I'll inform them about your groups secret" said Adam, Dallas turned back despite Yumi trying to dissuade him from doing so, "you wouldn't" he said, Adam smiled, "the construction yard, one hour" said Adam as he turned around, Sissi laughed but then asked, "do you have a car" she asked, Adam smiled and said "oh I can get a car, he can't" he smiled knowing that Dallas wouldn't be able to show, Dallas looked at the others, "make sure Ulrich's okay, I'll be back in about an hour and a half" he said as he turned and kissed Abbie, he then walked away, "is he always like this" she asked, the others nodded.

William came to a halt, and turned the engine off as he stepped out Garret smiled as he ticked off his name,
"One of the best today" he said as he said "Stern, Ulrich", Ulrich walked towards the car, he was still sulking as he slammed the door, as soon as Garret stepped in, Ulrich drove forward it was clear he didn't care what he was doing as he drove into almost everything, when he finally stopped he stepped and slammed the door again, he walked back towards the others, "hey you're not any better than I am, what a morale booster" said Odd, but Ulrich wasn't in the mood for Odd's comments, "hey will you just shut the fuck up" he said, Odd was hurt by his words, "it's not his fault that you're shit at pretty much everything" said William as he walked over, Ulrich who was past fed up at this point, turned and spun connecting his foot with Williams jaw knocking him off his feet, before jumping to the ground and began to punch him, William only knowing boxing was unable to fight back the fury from a more advanced fighting style, Jim quickly blew his whistle and rushed over and grabbed the two pulling them apart, "STERN, DUNBAR" he yelled violently as he pushed them away from each other, "you two trouble makers are coming with me" he said as he pushed them both towards the principal's office, Yumi placed her head in her hands knowing that it was her fault, Delmas wasn't too pleased with either of them,
"Your behaviours are unacceptable, violence is no way to sort your differences, and it's the last thing I want to see in this school, both of you are banned from the gym, and next time I'll suspend you both" said Delmas as he pointed towards the door, "Jim take them to the Library, I want them both confined to the library for now, and then in their dorm rooms until further notice" added Delmas as he calmed down from the violent behaviour.

Adam stood at the gates of the construction yard, a small number of students had shown up to see if Dallas was gonna chicken out, among them were Abbie and Sissi's group, Evelyn cut the bolts on the gate and had opened them up, Adam had stolen an orange and Black 1997 Mazda RX-7 with a veilside body kit, he stood leaning against it smoking, he looked at his watch, he smiled knowing this was gonna buy XANA the time he needed,
"I doubt he'll show" said Nicholas to Herb, the latter looked at him and said "wanna bet", Sissi walked over to Adam and said "I think he's chickened out", Adam could only smile, then he noticed Abbie getting a phone call, she answered it "is pretty boy looking smug" asked Dallas, Abbie looked at Adam and said "Yeah", she heard Dallas chuckle and hang up as he said "good", suddenly they heard a loud engine roar, everyone turned and looked at the road as they saw a Matte black dirt covered, 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe, the front bumper had been removed, a Airscope sat a top of the bonnet with a black belt running into the engine, the boot lid had been removed and in the back two Large Drums had been added to one side was a jerry can, on top was a spare tire, the Car was a Frankenstein's mess, but to Dallas it was The Interceptor, he pulled up alongside Adam and pushed down the red button affront of the gear stick and stepped out turning off the engine, he walked around shutting the door behind him, "bet you thought I didn't have a car" he said as he leant back against the car, "I thought you crashed that thing" said Adam with shock, his moment had been ruined, "I rebuilt her" said Dallas as he moved back towards the driver's side of the car, Sissi was angered by Dallas, and she sat in Adam's passenger seat, "I'm riding with you" she said in a huff, Adam didn't care, Abbie moved towards Dallas, "are you sure this is wise" she said, Dallas looked at her and said "no idea", he quickly tightened his seatbelt and gunned the engine.

Evelyn stepped between the cars and Adam looked at Dallas who simply clicked his fingers, Evelyn reached under her shirt and grabbed her bra causing the male audience members to cheer and applaud,
"nice clean race" she said as she threw her bra in the air, as soon as it hit the ground, the two drivers put their feet down, Adam took the lead quickly but this didn't help Dallas was almost immediately close to scraping the rear bumper, Adam looked in the rear-view mirror, he quickly hit the brakes, Dallas quickly did so himself to avoid a collision, but as the front of the Interceptor was smashed in exposing the lights Adam shot forward again, Dallas foot his foot down flooring it and quickly catching up again, the first turn came up and Adam slowed down and turned, Dallas quickly drifted around the corner but Adam still managed to keep the lead, but they were now on a straight road, Dallas turned and using the wider space he moved in for an overtake, Adam looked and noticed a massive sand pile and quickly drove through it, Sand and dust went everywhere, he looked back and laughed but then the Interceptor moved through, Dallas pulled up the red button and the airscoop rumbled and Dallas put his foot down shooting forward and alongside Adam, the next turn came up, Dallas quickly turned right and drifted, Adam and Sissi looked at him as he was directly in front of them and facing them, he smiled as he straightened out, "I thought you said you were faster" said Sissi, Adam was angered and quickly turned a nozzle of a canister labelled Nos, he then pressed a button on the steering wheel and shot forward, he passed Dallas and was making his way quicker towards the third and last tern before the home stretch, Dallas was angered by the cheating, then he noticed another unfinished road, he shrugged his shoulders and turned, the two cars were now moving parallel a row of houses apart, the unfinished road was havoc on the suspension, the Interceptor bounced on the uneven road and small dunes, Sissi looked back thinking they'd lost him, "at last" she said looking at Adam, but then she noticed the Black car behind the houses, "you gotta be fucking kidding" she said, Adam looked as Dallas smiled looking at them, he looked forward and saw that a dead end was coming up fast, "oh shit" he said he then noticed that a house was unfinished and looked at his car, before saying "fuck it" as he approached the dead end he turned through the house and smashed through the foundation before ending up ahead of Adam and Sissi, the later screamed as Adam swerved avoiding debris, Dallas who now had a 5 second window quickly drifted back but instead of drifting facing forward, he pulled down on the gear stick and threw his car into reverse, Adam looked at him angrily as Dallas looked in his rear-view mirror, "YOU SON OF A BITCH" shouted Adam, Dallas looked at Adam and raised his middle finger, everyone who watched the two was amazed at the sight, Dallas quickly swerved and moved forwards again, the two were now level, no obstacles on the home stretch, Adam quickly turned the RX-7 into the Interceptor, Dallas fought for control of the Interceptor, Sissi was screaming as Adam made another violent swerve, "ADAM STOP" she shouted "SHUT UP BITCH" he shouted back as he made another swerve, Dallas took another hit, but as Adam moved for another swipe, he put his foot down, Adam turned but as he did, he clipped the rear bumper of the Interceptor, Dallas spun out of control, the RX-7 however swerved off the road and ramped into the air and barrelled into a house upside down, everyone panicked as Dallas spun towards them they moved as he hit the brakes at the end of the road, but the Interceptor had too much momentum and as it exited the construction complex it flipped off the ground Barrel rolling and smashing each time it hit the ground, everyone outside panicked as the car smashed to pieces throwing almost everything from the car, it skidded to a holt amassing dirt, Dallas looked around glad that this time he wore his seatbelt, he unbuckled it landing on the roof, he pushed the dirt aside and climbed out, Abbie ran over to him helping him up, another student pulled out his phone, "yes Emergency services" they said.

Clean up was a nightmare, Dallas and Adam had been arrested and returned to Kadic by the police; the students watching had been given a warning for not reporting the incident soon, Adam's face was cut up from his crash, Dallas had gotten off lighter, his mouth was bleeding into his beard, above his left eye there was a swelling bruise and to the right side of his face there was a small cut which had bleed heavily, the police had towed back both of the crash Vehicles and after Dallas and Adam had been formerly charged, they were going to be crushed, Delmas may have been mad at Ulrich and William but now he was fuming and was going Ballistic,
"BOTH OF YOU ARE IN THE DEEPEST SHIT IMAGINABLE" he shouted furiously at them, "YOU TWO STOLE TWO VECHICLES AND RACED THEM ILLEGALLY IN PRIVATE PROPERTY, AMASSING THOUSANDS IN DAMAGE, NOT TO MENTION BOTH OF YOU ARE UNDERAGE AND WITHOUT LICENSES" he added almost spitting at them, "MOST OF ALL YOU'VE PUT MY DAUGHTER IN THE HOSPITAL NEEDING RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGEROY, AND WITH A FUCKING CRIMMINAL RECORD" he finished, Dallas chuckled saying "will do an improvement", Delmas who was already in the worst mood imaginable having already expelled the two punched Dallas in the head and smacked his head into the desk, "I DON'T TAKE KNIDLY TO YOUR SARCASTIC WORDS" he shouted, as he stormed out of the room, and for once Dallas and Adam looked at each other and laughed, "oh my god he's pissed" said Adam, Dallas nearly fell out of his chair with laughter.

"Can you believe what happened" said Aelita, as she looked at the others, "Well we'll have to jump back in time to fix the mess that today's been" said Odd, Jeremie rolled his eyes, "first Ulrich get pissy at Yumi for no reason, and next Dallas goes and pulls this fucking stunt" said Jeremie who on a rare occasion was angry, "To be honest Jeremie I could do with restarting this shit day" said Yumi, then they heard Jeremie's laptop beeping, they opened it, "Speak of the Devil I've got an activated tower here" said Jeremie, they looked at him as he closed it, "lets head to the factory the sooner we deactivate it the better" said Yumi as she stood up, suddenly one of the tow trucks exploded sending a shower of sparks and flames everywhere, the students screamed in fear and panic, the Warriors watched as Two Krabs moved into View, "Holy shit" shouted Odd as he pushed Yumi and Aelita way before diving onto Jeremie as one of the Krabs fired at them striking the wall behind them, "Well we know XANA's plan" he said, suddenly they heard a smashing as Adam went through Delmas's window, his neck was broken, Dallas quickly jumped through and ran towards the others, "well this day keeps getting interesting" said Yumi, the warriors moved away from the Krabs field of view, they then noticed that one of the Krabs was guarding the entrance to the woods, "bollocks" said Dallas as they moved back, "now what" asked Aelita, then Dallas noticed the remaining tow truck, Jeremie looked at him before realising, "oh no" she said.

Dallas pulled off the door of the tow truck before throwing it Down, Odd climbed in first followed by Yumi, then Yumi and lastly Aelita,
"We can't just abandon the school" said Jeremie, Dallas smiled and ran back grabbing the cable, "I don't plan to" he said, he quickly stepped in holding onto the cable, he quickly started the truck, the sirens lit up and blasted alerting the Krab towards him, he reversed before driving towards it, "take the wheel" said Dallas as he moved towards it, he quickly hocked the cable to its leg before moving back in the cab and gunning the engine, the tow truck shot forward dragging the Krab behind them, it bounced across the ground as the shot forward, students screamed as they moved away from the swerving creature, Dallas drove through the school gates, "hang on" he said as he turned, the Krab went wide as it smashed into a few cars smashing them he then drove forward again, "you're insane" said Odd as he prayed for dear life, Dallas looked back the Krab, before turning again, he noticed the river, this time as the Krab went wide, there was nothing to stop the creature, and it broke through the railing and went over the edge, everyone exited the Cab, Dallas jumped from his side as the Vehicle was pulled into the air from the tightened cable, he was knocked into the air and landed onto the barrier, he struck his chest, before hitting the pavement, "DALLAS" screamed Aelita as they ran over, "Dallas come on" said Odd, but then they noticed the blood seeping through his jumper, "his wounds haemorrhaging" said Jeremie as he tried picking up Dallas, Odd helped and the two were barely able to drag him, "if he's unconscious he can't heal, we need to get him to Lyoko" said Jeremie as they rushed towards the factory which was luckily where Dallas had managed to crash, they turned onto the bridge, but as they reached the entrance they noticed that there was another Krab on the factory floor, "there lookout" said Odd as he pushed the others back, The Krab opened fire at them, "what're we gonna do" asked Aelita, Odd then grabbed Dallas's arm, "what're you doing" asked Yumi, Odd unzipped Dallas's sleeve and grabbed the grapple, "Yumi can you throw Dallas's body across the building when I say now" said Odd, Yumi looked down at her belly, "only briefly" she said, Odd grabbed the grapple and wrapped it around Dallas's leg and left enough cable between the two, "now" said Odd, Yumi quickly used Telekinesis and Dallas's unconscious body was thrown across the factory floor, the Krab followed as the others rushed down the ropes and into the elevator, Odd then retracted the cable and Dallas was pulled in just as the door closed, "nice going Odd" said Jeremie as the elevator descended, the door opened and he stepped into the computer room, "get to the scanner room, I'll start the virtualization Process" said Jeremie as the door closed again, the doors opened the three were shocked, three of the scanners had been smashed leaving only two left, "Are you guys there" said Jeremie as he placed in the earphone, "yeah but we got a big problem here" said Odd as Aelita looked at the two intact scanners, "XANA's Busted the scanners" said Yumi, Aelita spoke up "only two are working" said Jeremie, Yumi looked at Dallas, "I know I'm more vulnerable, but Send Aelita and Dallas first, if he's in pain he needs to be put out of it" said Yumi, Jeremie shook his head, "No way you and Aelita first" he said, but Yumi barked back, "JEREMIE I'M TELLING YOU SEND THEM FIRST" she said.

Jeremie reluctantly agreed, he pushed his glasses into his face as Yumi and Odd placed Dallas inside a scanner,
"Okay get ready" said Jeremie, Aelita stepped into the other scanner, "Scanner Aelita, Scanner Dallas" said Jeremie as he selected their ID Cards, "Transfer Aelita, Transfer Dallas" he added as their cards filled up, "Virtualization" said Jeremie as their blue squared outlines appeared and gained detail before dropping to the ground, Aelita ran towards Dallas who was clearly faint, "what happened" he asked his voice was deep, "you were wounded he had to send you here" said Aelita, whilst back in in the scanner room, "okay guys your turn" said Jeremie as he loaded the program again, but suddenly the two scanners began to pulsate and a window opened between them, suddenly a Krab emerged from the window as the two towers overloaded and exploded in a shower of sparks, Yumi screamed but Odd shielded her, "go" he said as he pushed her into the elevator.

Back at the school the Library being sound proofed hadn't changed since before the attack had begun, suddenly the window smashed as the Krab fired at it,
"what the fuck" said Jim as he looked out of the frame, to see numerous students running in fear the Krab then turned and faced him, it charged a shot, but Ulrich pulled him down, "What is that thing" asked William as he looked out at the creature, "Krabs" said Ulrich as he moved away, Jim was frozen in fear, William followed after Ulrich, "what're you doing" he asked, Ulrich looked back at him and said "what I have to, I'm gonna take that thing out", William was confussed, "I'm gonna help you, and burry this mess" he said, Ulrich wasn't happy but he knew that it was pointless arguing, back at the factory Jeremie got a massive feedback pulse, he threw off his ear piece, "what was that noise, Jesus it scared me shitless" said Jeremie as the elevator opened and Odd climbed up the hatch, "The Last Scanners going kaboom" he said, Yumi walked over towards Jeremie, "that means it's just Dallas and Aelita, with no way of returning" said Jeremie before looking back at the screen, "what" asked Yumi, Jeremie looked up at her, Aelita and Dallas looked at each other, "best get moving" he said as the baton and the Over-Board appeared "Okay you guys the towers to the north" said Jeremie, Aelita mounted the Over-Board as Dallas extended the Baton the two then shot off, "aren't you going to tell him" asked Yumi, Jeremie looked back at her, "he doesn't need the pressure" he replied.

Aelita had never been a first on the Over-Board and as such was having trouble controlling it, she moved off the path as Dallas moved alongside her,
"Balance out, try and control your weight" he said as he smiled then Jeremie said "okay guys left here", Dallas quickly slowed down and turned, Aelita quickly turned but the momentum forced the board upwards, she leaned backwards and grabbed the board, something clicked inside of her as she smiled and shot forward, she became more confident with herself on the board, back on the screen the phone tab opened, "Ulrich" said Jeremie, "whats the news Einstein" he asked as he opened their room and grabbed the Katanna, he pulled it from the sheath and inspected the blade, "well XANA's brought some Krabs to earth, Dallas has dealt with Adam and taken out one of the Krabs, he's trapped on Lyoko with Aelita, we've got another Krab trapped inside the scanner room, ones on the factory floor and there should be one still at the school" replied Jeremie as he took a deep breath, "me and William are gonna deal with the this one" said Ulrich as he hung up, he turned to William and said "here's the plan".

The Krab looked around at the students as best it could each was ID as not a threat, then a rock struck the shell of the creature it turned around to see William waving his arms before throwing another rock at it, the creature zoomed in to ID his face the words, Future threat NEUTRALIZE, typed out and it moved to attack,
"over here" said William as he lured it into the woods, the Creature opened fire at him, but missed him due to the speed at which William was managing to keep, "Ulrich I'm near the shed, Ulrich" he said, but then as he was unable to move inside he turned around, "fucking typical" he said but then Ulrich dropped from the tree lines holding the Katanna downwards the blade pierced the shell and the creature staggered to a holt, he sheathed the blade and walked towards William, "took you long enough" said William as he moved away from the wall, but Ulrich pushed him back against it, "be grateful I saved you at all, besides I want you away from our group, you're not welcome" he said, William grabbed him by the shoulder, "I don't know what you're problem is but if it's Yumi you're dumber then you look" he said, Ulrich looked back at him ready to draw the Katanna, "yes I like her, and I apologise for that, but you have to remember that you're the father of her child and she loves you for that, so for her sakes let me help you" said William, Ulrich moved his hand away from the handle.

Back on Lyoko Aelita and Dallas were still following the path towards the tower, Aelita had adjusted to the Over-Board and was using the calm moment to have some fun with it, she looked ahead at a turn and began to sing suddenly a rock wall appeared and began to form, Aelita smiled, as she moved around the bending turns she quickly skidded the Over-Board against the rock wall, Dallas shook his head, suddenly there was numerous shots fired, Dallas moved behind Aelita,
"HORNETS" he shouted, but instead of 5 or 6 as usual, there was a massive swarm of them with Evelyn leading the charge, "go, go, go" said Dallas as the two sped up, he looked back and said "go through the mountain tunnels", Aelita looked back at him and asked "what're you going to do", Dallas looked at the swarm, "I'm gonna try and thin them out" he said as he turned and began to lure what he thought was a dozen or so, but infact only half a dozen remained in pursuit of Aelita, the rest were following Dallas, "Jeremie how many are following me" he asked, Jeremie looked at the map, "too many" he replied, Dallas looked back as they began to fire at him, Dallas quickly sped up and doubled back, the swarm was parted as the Over-Rider ploughed through them, he flicked the cap and the switch, he quickly fired the flares, numerous Hornets were blinded and fired randomly into each other, the swarm was thinned out, "yes bitch" he said as he moved towards the Mountains, Evelyn quickly followed, Dallas flicked another cap he then returned the vehicle to the Baton and through a small gap in the mountain, he quickly extended it again and began moving, numerous hornets either made it through the gap or smashed into the rock, Evelyn moved around and extended her hand and fired lightning at him, he dodged as he swerved away, but the Hornets fired, the back of the Over-Rider was struck and Dallas began to spin out, "come on" he said as he noticed smoke trailing from one of the exhausts, he quickly jumped as the vehicle crashed into a platform, he stood up and looked as twenty hornets encircled him from above, none of them moving in, he looked around not seeing a window for escape, then Evelyn moved towards him and dismounted her bike, she walked towards him and punched him in the face knocking him down and kicking him away, Jeremie spoke up, "Dallas the scanner is off-line, if you're devirtulized you'll be lost" he said, Dallas was grabbed by Evelyn she snapped his crossbow off his back and threw it away, Dallas looked up and knew he had to fight or die, "bring it on" he said as he turned and kicked Evelyn in the leg before smashing his left elbow into her face, he drew her musket and was ready to fire it into her head, but she forced it away and the bullet smashed into her bike, the Hornets moved towards the Bike and covered it, "You won't win this time" said Evelyn as she elbowed him in the gut before moving away, she then punched him down again, Dallas quickly jumped and doubled kicked her in the chest knocking her down, "why do you people always gloat" he said as he flipped back onto his feet, Evelyn charged him, but Dallas spun around and kicked her in the face, suddenly the two noticed a vibrate glow coming from the Hornets, "oh shit" said Dallas as he remembered what happened the last time they'd exploded his bike, Dallas quickly charged Evelyn as she stood up, he jumped and raised his leg and curved his other but he couldn't manage the move and fell knocking her towards the bike, suddenly it exploded as Dallas stumbled to his feet, unlike what happened with the Marabounta where it engulfed and absorbed most of the blast which scatted it, this time there was nothing to encase the explosion, Cracks began to show in the Plato, "DALLAS RUN" shouted Yumi watching the events, Dallas turned and ran from the cracks but they were catching up, the pieces began to crumble and fall he jumped reaching for the next Plato, he extended his hook blade but due to the stumble he'd made and the early jump he clipped the rock face and the blade missed he looked down as he fell, the rocks smashed into the digital sea, he closed his eyes as he fell, everything felt like it was in slow motion, he was calm as his signal went off the screen, Yumi stepped away, she felt ill as she watched what happened she grabbed her stomach as it felt like it churned, "Dallas, can you hear me, Dallas" asked Jeremie to no response.

Aelita was rocketing along the pathway with the half dozen Hornets following her,
"Aelita behind you, watch out" said Jeremie, the Hornets began shooting at her, but luckily the speed difference was enough for numerous misses, but they were close none the same, the closest hits the struck below the board but still missed, Aelita quickly swerved and moved avoiding the shots, she quickly pulled back avoiding one that was about to strike her, she quickly turned the board avoiding more shots, each was firing down at a rapid pace, "they'll do anything they can to slow you down" said Jeremie, Aelita looked up before shooting forward, "That's for sure, they'll want the time to get rid of the others" said Aelita, she then short forward again putting more space between her and the Hornets, the phone tab opened again, "Jeremie, me and William took out one of the Krabs" said Ulrich as he was able to speak, "finally some good news, the tower is still activated but we still have a Krab on the factory floor" said Jeremie, then he hung up, "what're we going to" asked William, Ulrich had an Idea, "do you think Garret left yet?" he asked, William was confussed as he followed Ulrich back to the school, back on Lyoko the Hornets has stopped firing due to the distance between them, Aelita quickly shot forward as she noticed a rock structure, she quickly circled around, one of the Hornets moved around the other direction in an interception attempt, Aelita smiled as the creature fell into her trap, she quickly clipped one of them and it spun out of control whilst rapidly firing in any direction, its lasers struck and destroyed the Hornet that had tried to intercept before crashing into the wall and destroying itself, Aelita smiled as he moved back towards the tower, the remaining hornet shook its head section and moved after her joined by the remainder of the swarm, it fired more shots these ones getting closer than before, Aelita quickly moved her head avoiding one, another rock structure was dead ahead and before Aelita collided with it she shot forward and upwards, the Hornets didn't get a chance to adjust its trajectory and smacked into the rock face, on the other side the Hornets split and moved around in both directions, Aelita was still ahead but she was running out of breathing space, she looked behind her as one of the Hornets had sped up and was catching up quicker than the others, then she heard another one ahead of her, she quickly turned and the two smacked into each other and exploded, she heard the rest of them coming around from the other side, she stopped and shot upwards, the Hornets followed her, Aelita laid flat on the Over-Board so as to gain speed as she reached the altitude, she cut the thrusters and dropped down and flew between the Hornets splitting them, "good job Aelita, Odd would be proud" said Jeremie, the Hornets circled around and gave Aelita a 7 second lead, but it was shrinking quickly, "they're catching up with you" said Jeremie, Aelita then noticed a ring structure, she quickly moved upwards with the Hornets following, "I have an Idea" she said, "Is it a bad one" asked Jeremie, Aelita looked back at the creatures as they shot at her, "I'll have to get back to you on that one" she said causing Jeremie to worry, she shot upwards steeply before again cutting the thrusters and began a kamikaze dive, she was moving towards the ring, suddenly the thrusters activated and she narrowly avoided the path and she shot underneath whilst a few Hornets crashed into it and exploded, only three Hornets remained.

Jeremie had switch communications channels,
"Dallas can you hear me" he asked but there was silence, Yumi walked over, "Dallas come in" said Jeremie, but again there was silence, "Can you reach him" asked Yumi, but Jeremie shook his head, Yumi began to tear up, Odd quickly moved and grabbed her before she could fall, "Yumi it's fine" said Odd, but Yumi was nearly crying, "how can it be, if Dallas is gone what do we do he's one of us, he's like family" said Yumi, but Jeremie continued "Dallas if you can hear me give me a sign" he said but there was still silence, he looked at the map and switch back to Aelita's channel, "You're coming up to the hollow mountain" said Jeremie, Aelita looked back and said "Jeremie can you dematerlizes the overboard when I give the signal", Jeremie was confussed and looked at the screen, "yeah sure but why" asked Jeremie, meanwhile back at Kadic Ulrich ran towards the track field the AE86 was still there,
"yes" he said as he opened the door, they keys were still in the ignition, "what're you doing" asked William, Ulrich looked over to him and said "wanna help get in", William opened the door and said, "I'll drive you're shit at it" but Ulrich buckled his seat belt, "I was distracted" he said as he started the engine, William rolled his eyes and got in and shut the door, Ulrich flipped the car into reverse and shot backwards before turning the car around, "where we going" said William holding on in fear, "to the factory" replied Ulrich.

Aelita quickly entered the tunnel; one of the Hornets followed her whilst the other went around to cut her off, the Hornet scrapped its wings on the roof and began to slow down, Aelita had enough time to shoot forward she reached the centre of the Mountain, it was hollow except for a small rock that stood at the centre and the two tunnel entrances, she stopped above the rock, she closed her eyes and began to listen, due to her elf ears she had a heightened hearing and as such was able to hear the vibrations of the Hornets wings,
"Now" said Aelita, Jeremie hit enter and the Over-Board began to devirtulize, and it finished allowing Aelita to drop just as the two Hornets smashed into each other and exploded, "thanks Jeremie" said Aelita smiling, "no problem I'm sending you the Over-Wing" he replied as the vehicle materialized next to her, she jumped onto it nearly losing her footing before moving towards the centre, and flying into the tunnel and towards the tower.

Ulrich quickly turned the AE86 onto the bridge, William was becoming more scared,
"Are you crazy" he said as Ulrich sped up the car, "Probably" said Ulrich as he drove off the bridge and turned went down the ramp, the Krab looked at them before walking towards them, but Ulrich sped forward avoiding it, "what now" asked William as he looked at the creature, "I suggest you hold on" said Ulrich, as he sped towards the legs of the Krab, he knocked it off its feet before driving towards the Elevator shaft he hit the brakes and the creature was thrown down the shaft, Ulrich hit the brakes and the two stepped out, "what a load of crab" said William, Ulrich looked at him before sighing, "what, what" asked William, whilst on Lyoko, Aelita was exiting the tunnel and shot out into the light, "The tower should be dead ahead" said Jeremie, Aelita then followed the path to the bowl where the tower was, but as she saw it a Tarantula moved from behind cover followed by the Scyphozoa, she gasped and tilted the Over-Wing turning around, but the Tarantula fired at her destroying the Vehicle, she stood up and ran backwards the tunnel entrance, the two creatures followed, "Aelita get out of there" said Jeremie as Aelita just stood there, the Tarantula moved behind her cutting off her retreat, the Scyphozoa wrapped its tentacles around, but suddenly she disappeared, they had been tricked by a clone, Aelita quickly ran towards the tower in the confusion, "A Decoy" said Jeremie as Aelita passed into the tower, she elevated to the top platform and placed her hand on the screen, the words Aelita followed by the words Code Lyoko, "tower deactivated" said Aelita, the blue screens began to descend into the black void around her, suddenly there was a white flash as Jeremie reluctantly said "Return to the past now"…

Earlier that Day Ulrich stepped out of the AE86 having successfully traversed the course this time around,
"Not Bad Ulrich" said William as he greeted him, "Thanks" said Ulrich no longer holding a grudge against him, "you wanna come with me at some point to the Auto Garage club" he said offering his hand, Ulrich shook it and said "sure", this confussed Yumi as to how they were acting, William smiled as Ulrich walked over to the others as they were behind the bleachers, "whats going on" asked Ulrich as he noticed the grim mood, "where's Dallas" he asked, Aelita had only just been told, "well" he asked, Jeremie looked around before saying, "he's gone, he was fighting off Evelyn when he fell into the digital sea", Ulrich was shocked, "what, can't you find him" he asked, Jeremie shook his head, "we ran a scan but he's gone" said Aelita, Ulrich fell down, Yumi grabbed him as Odd asked "what're we gonna do", Yumi began to cry, "it's my fault I forced you to send him first" she said, but they knew she wasn't to blame, "Jeremie, put the anti-virus on hold, we need to find him" said Aelita the others looked at her, "no, he'd want us to continue" said Jeremie, but Aelita was firm on what she was saying, "Jeremie, I don't care what he'd want, I'm not going to live on earth knowing someone died for that to happen", However the others knew this was more serious, "Aelita, if Dallas fell into the digital sea, he's dead, lost forever" said Jeremie, Aelita began to cry "there's nothing we can do" added Jeremie, as they all stood in silence, remembering their friend.
