ESKK: New chapter folks let's get started.
(Start Anakin's Group)
When we last left Anakin Skywalker's group, that was comprised of Fives, Echo, Rex, Tarkin, Ahsoka, Andros, and the injured Clones they had located an old tunnel from before the changes in the Citadel. Thanks to the old Archive data they knew the old and possible secret passages to get around the Fortress to make their escape. We now find the group were carefully making their way through the tunnels making sure to watch their step while having their weapons at the ready for anything. "R2 are you and your battle droids ready to go?" Anakin asked to his communicator knowing who to call. R2 responded with his beeps and boops through the communications as he was ready to move out.
(Meanwhile over with R2-D2)
"Alright get the ship fired up we'll meet you at the pipe line exit once you picked up Obi-Wan. Assuming he's still on schedule" Anakin said before R2 ended the holographic communication with him. R2 and the three Battle Droids moved back into the ship and got ready for takeoff knowing the next stage of the plan by now.
Once they were inside it didn't take them long to fire up the ship and take off to pick up Obi-Wan and the others while making it off this rock. They also knew to be careful as it was unknown if the plan will go as intended around here.
(Scene Break with Obi-Wan's group)
The group were now in the vents looking below the grates to see Battle Droids and Super Battle Droids roaming around the halls looking for them. While Churi, The Clones, and Obi-Wan had to crouch down to fit through Even Piell was standing full height thanks to his short stature playing a role in this. It wasn't long until they located a vent path that went both upward and downward. "This passage should get us near the landing pad." Obi-Wan said as he looked upwards torts the path.
"Ok then let's move." Churi said and in turn one by one the group began to climb up the path as Churi had clones tailing behind her for it. Even Piell was the last one to go as he took a moment to look downward only seeing darkness down below proving it was a long way down. He then jumped and began to climb up the vent to make their escape.
But as they climbed Churi smirked a bit and then looked to the troopers behind her. "Hey buddy I may have a nice ass but eyes to yourself." Churi teased them causing the Clones to get a bit bashful and almost slip as they in turn proceeded to look away from Churi's rear.
Obi-Wan seeing this decided to let his disagreement known. "As much as I enjoy a joke now and again I don't think getting the troops on edge like that is a good idea." Obi-Wan said as Churi smirked to him.
"Just trying to have some fun and lighten the mood." Churi responded as she kept climbing upward.
Obi-Wan then rolled his eyes and moved to another path as the clones began to climb upward passed him. Obi-Wan then went to the communication port and began to use the communicators to contact their ride. "R2 send the shuttle to the rear landing platform." Obi-Wan ordered only to get beeps from the Droid in turn.
(R2-D2's team)
"We've already been give the go ahead by General Skywalker sir assuming you are still on schedule." The Battle Droid said as Obi-Wan appeared on the holo-screen.
(Obi-Wan's team)
"The trick will be if Anakin arrives on time." Obi-Wan responded as he looked to the communicator before cutting the communication.
The clones, Churi, and master Even Piell keep advancing up the vent system, as one clone came up to the next level and spotted a recon droid, as it turn towards him, as the clone quickly turn down towards he group as he called out, "A drone!"
The recon droid took off and start to report the group location to command as Master Even Piell, leaps up after it and soon cut it down with his lightsaber, before falling back down as Obi-wan turns towards the master and said, "Did you get it?"
The master look to be unsure as Churi look up and saw some security doors closing up above as she said, "Not in time it seems."
Obi-wan look up and saw the same thing as the doors were closing fast as he turn back to the troops below as he yell out, "Security doors, move or you'll be cut in half!"
Obi-wan drop to avoid the door and landed on the level below, as Master Even Piell held up in a level below obi-wan and waited as all the doors around him close up, with Churi took action quickly as she saw a clone wasn't clear yet as she took her weapon, activate the blade at the bottom, and stab it in the corner of the door to prevent one side from closing full on the clone that was half way up as she said, "Pull him up now before shuts completely!"
The clones quickly acted as they pull up their clone brother fast with Churi no longer to hold it, pull her weapon out as the door shut under the group as she look at everyone and said, "Is everyone alright?"
"Yes, thank you again," the clone said as she save another clone from death, with the prisoners nodded to Churi as well thanking her silently, as looked at her weapon seeing a slight bent at the tip as she said, "Ah, and this is going to take a bit to hammer out."
Suddenly a lightsaber stab through the doors and cut through to them as Even Piell poke his head down below as he said, "Is everyone safe?"
"Well other than a soldier almost lost his legs, and a bent tool, we're good," Churi said as she look back at her weapon with the bent tip as she is still a bit up step by that as she retracted it, with the tip still sticking out from it as she just leave it at that for now as Even nodded to that knowing everyone's okay before he went up above and talk to Obi-wan.
With Master Even cutting a hole above to Obi-wan as he step aside, Even, pop his head up towards him and said, "Everyone's okay, but it seem we have cutting to do."
(Citadel command center)
The commander was looking over the screen seeing that one group was trap in the vent system, but they would be free soon enough as he try to come up with a plan on capturing them before they could reach the landing platform until the communication droid came up to him and said, "Count Dooku insist that you speak with him, commander."
The horror sighed to this as he wanted to keep up appearance to keep himself hidden so he can get prison, torture them, and then devour them once there was no more use of them, a simple way to survive out in the living world as he said, "Well let's not keep him waiting."
"He's already waiting sir," the droid said which piss off the commander as his eyes turn white again as he turn his head towards the droid, but before he could do anything, the door open and there was a hologram of Dooku, as he blinks his eyes, they return back to normal before turning back to Dooku and said, "Count Dooku, my lord how unexpected."
"You may cease the propriety commander Sobeck, I understand there is a problem with the Jedi prisoner," Count Dooku said as he give off a feeling that does like failure, as Sobeck felt it but does not fear it, but he has to keep up his roll if he were to stay as he is.
"Incursion team attempted rescue but the situation is taking care of," Commander Sobeck said as he lying to keep thing quite as Dooku asked him, "Are you in possession of the information the prisoner is carrying."
"Not yet, we will soon have it," Sobeck said as Dooku didn't like the sound of that as he said, "you are aware that this information will tip the scale of the war to the side that controls it. Perhaps this is a matter that requires my presence?"
"No milord." Sobeck said as he bowed to the Count.
"Find them commander, get the information, and then kill them all." Count Dooku ordered as he glared at the warden here.
As the Commander bowed to him the communication ended and once it did he grabbed the Tactical Droid by the neck and pinned it to the wall. "Don't ever surprise me with a transmission from Count Dooku. I need time to prepare!" He yelled at the Droid who understood the order.
"Yes Commander." The Droid responded with concern for its own wellbeing.
(Anakin's Group)
Ahsoka and Andros were leading the group as the Clones with Tarkin followed suit. As the Makai Knight and Jedi Padawan took point Fives and Echo made sure to keep their eyes peeled for anything. Unknown to them a Recon Droid began to fly in to which Andros felt it with Zaruba but before anything could be done Anakin came in from above and cut it in two with his lightsaber. Anakin sheathed his weapon before looking behind him to make sure they were clear. Once he did so he jumped over to the rest of the group and kept his eyes peeled.
"I'm beginning to admire the design of this fortress it's rather formidable to evade." Tarkin said to which Andros glared at him as did Ahsoka.
"How can you admire such a horrible place?" Ahsoka asked as she glared at the Captain.
"I'm with Ahsoka on this one." Andros said as he glared at Tarkin and the fortress. He can feel the suffering echoing through the halls through his empath abilities. Through those abilities he can listen and even here memories involved with the emotions.
"Ah you both reveal your short sightedness this whole ordeal only demonstrates how effective facilities like the Citadel are. Pity it ended up being in Separatist hands and not ours." Tarkin said as Andros looked ready to punch the guy but held himself back while Tarkin walked on ahead.
"I really don't like this guy." Andros said as Ahsoka nodded to him.
"Agreed." Ahsoka confessed knowing if the mission didn't depend on the information he was carrying she would have left him with Obi-Wan.
"Though he does have a point." Anakin said as he walked up to the two causing the two to look surprised at him. "Alright Goldie, Snips I'll need you two to lead the group keep following the tunnel." Anakin said as Andros heard this.
"Goldie?" Andros asked but Ahsoka interrupted Andros.
"Hey where are you going?" Ahsoka asked as she wanted some answers.
"Well Obi-Wan is not here so someone has to protect our flank." Anakin said as Andros heard this.
"Ok and why not me?" Andros said as Zaruba then spoke up seeing as his face was not covered at the moment.
"Because that way if a Horror does appear behind us you can switch between sides and leave one defended." Zaruba spoke up to which Ahsoka smiled this.
"Well guess it's a good thing I came along after all." Ahsoka said to which Andros agreed but had one more question.
"But seriously Goldie?" Andros asked as he looked to Anakin.
"Well we have to give you some sort of nickname." Anakin said as Ahsoka chuckled a bit.
"Sky guy is right... Goldie." Ahsoka added to which Andros glared at them.
"I didn't agree to that!" Andros called out as Ahsoka began to walk ahead opting Andros to run after him.
(Scene Break back at the Jedi Temple)
A few Jedi master join Master Plo-Koon in the war room as he began to tell of the situation of what been going on at the Citadel as he said, "We've received a coded transmission. Apparently they've split off into two groups. The Rendezvous point saw the landing field behind the tower where R2 will pick up Obi-wan Kenobi, and the pipeline exit, but they'll find Anakin Skywalker."
"And what if things don't go according to plan?" Mace Windu said as this mission was still a risky one, and he still didn't trust Andros or who he may have brought along for the mission as Master Plo-Koon said to him, "Then we would have to send an entire fleet to get them out of there."
(Andros and Ahsoka)
With the Makai knight and Jedi Padawan lead the group through the tunnels with Tarkin coming up to Rex and said to the clone, "I am concerned that the Jedi have elected these children to lead to lead the group."
"I've serve with her many time I trust her, and this is the first time working alongside that boy, he seem to be very capable of handling thing better than most could, I trust him enough to watch my back, Captain," Rex said as after what he seen what Andros and Churi can do, they earn some trust if they are willingly to save clone troopers when he know full well, most clone troopers are expendable, as soon enough when Andros and Ahsoka took a turn down the only path, and came to a dead end.
"Ah-oh," Ahsoka said as she saw it was the end of the tunnel with Andros knew this was the next part as he said, "Don't say that yet... or ever, we will keep moving forward."
"How are we going to do that? It's a dead end," Rex said as Andros said, "We need to make an opening with well control explosions."
"How can we do that?" Ahsoka asked with Andros pointed to the cracks in the walls as he said, "We plane the explosives in the weakest part of that wall to use less than what we have while creating an open for all of us to get through that will lead us to the next path."
"What should we do?" Rex said to him as Andros pointed out and said, "Take defensive position, with weapon down range of the tunnel. Call out if any droids starts coming down the path. Slow them down enough so we can get everything in place, if you can't then me and my friend will prove the back up."
BD-G2 beep out as if he is saying he ready or something like that as Andros said, "I thought you would say that."
"Yes sir," Rex said as he and the clone step up position down the tunnel as Tarkin is impress by Andros taking command as such like a leader would do as one clone came up with a pack that held explosives in it as he nodded to the clone as he took it and turn to Ahsoka and said, "Let get to work."
(The transport ship)
"It looks like there are security guards there," A battle droid said as he look on screen, seeing the security around the landing platforms as R2 beep out as he seem to be saying to the reprogram battle droids, "Keep to the plan, I an idea."
"Okay Boss, we'll land and wait for wait for General Kenobi," the droid said as he took the ship in to the landing area.
The guns around were soon being pointed at the ship as it landed being an schedule stop, as soon as it touch the ground, the doors open and all the droids inside came out with R2 in the center of the 3 battle droids with the communication droid came forth as one of the battle droids said, "Ah-oh that doesn't look like General Kenobi."
"I guess we'll have to improvise," another battle droid said as R2 has a plan if Obi-wan hasn't made it in time to the ship as the communication droid said as it stop them, "Your return arrival is unexpected. What is the meaning of this?"
R2 beep out something as soon the 3 battle droid pointed their guns and keep on beeping out as it seem he is saying, "I sided with the republic and try to destroy the transport area with your own ammunition, and taken this ship to ram into your guns."
"Even the odds are its 3 to 1, that you are a traitor," the communication droid said as it seem it was very stupid to fall for such a lie from another droid as R2 beep in panic as the droid said, "WE will take you to interrogation below."
"Yes sir!" the reprogram battle droid said following along with R2 plan as the 3rd one put against his boss before kicking R2 to make it realistic as it said, "Move it."
R2 beep out calling out names and stuff as the battle droid said, "Don't talk back to me droid. I'm in charge" and give him another kick for good measure and it seem to work.
The droid turn away from the group as it held up a holo-disk device as it call right away to Commander Sobeck as it said, "WE have captured the shuttle that infiltrated our defenses."
(Sobeck)
"Good. Guard the shuttle and we'll lure the Jedi into a trap," Sobeck said unaware of the plan that is set in place and the fate he will face.
(R2 group)
As the group entered the Elevator they waited for the lift to arrive at the designated floor. But when this happened R2 saw a problem and in turn bumped into one of the droids scolding him. "Sorry commander just wanted to fool them." The Battle Droids said before standing up straight. "What are your orders?" He asked ready to serve for the Republic. R2 responded with a flurry of beeps telling him that there was a problem seeing as they were ALL here right now. "Your right if we're not at the shuttle General Kenobi can be walking into a trap." The Droid said to which he knew what had to be done. "We'll try to locate them if they get captured." The Battle Droid said as R2 hoped they can find them in time.
(Anakin's group)
As the group was setting up the bombs Fives looked over to the side and lowered his scope to see if they were still clear. Just then they saw a Super Battle Droid approach and start firing their guns at them. When this happened Andros acted and looked to Ahsoka.
"Ahsoka give me some cover." Andros said as he knew they had to get this right or else.
"Got it." Ahsoka said as she began heading out and deflecting Laser blasts from the droids. One of the blasts knocked a droid off the edge into the magma bellow. Just then Anakin jumped in and sliced the other two allowing the second one to fall into the magma to join the first.
When this happened though Commando Droids began to jump in carrying riot shields. When Anakin saw this he knew they were in some trouble now. "What happened why didn't you blow the wall? That part of the plan was your job." Anakin scolded as he looked to Ahsoka.
"We're trying to find a weak spot to use the explosives on." Andros called out as Ahsoka and Anakin covered their rear.
"Why not use all of it?" Anakin asked as he glared a bit.
"Because I'd rather we have them later if we need them!" Andros responded as he put the last set in. "Catch!" Andros called out tossing two bombs to Ahsoka who caught them after sheathing her saber. She then saw what Andros meant and activated them before rolling them over to the commando droids. "Fire in the hole!" Andros called out and in turn everyone got to cover as explosions went off on both sides for them.
Once this was done they began to make sure they were in the clear as Andros smiled to this. "Find the weak point and we still have explosives for later if we need them." Andros said as he smirked seeing their supply was still good.
"Good thinking Goldie." Anakin said to which Andros glared at him for that.
"What do you know, you're one of us now, Goldie." Ahsoka said as she began to walk away as Andros glared at her for that one.
"One of us, one of us." Zaruba joked to which Andros proceeded to close the face mask on the Madou Ring to shut him up. In turn the group began to make their way through the newly created cave with the pipeline being their destination.
(Obi-Wan's group)
The Clones, Obi-Wan, and Churi saw the shuttle was there as it was their ticket out of here. "The Shuttle is there but no sign of R2." Cody said as he saw their getaway ship there.
"Something might have happened." Obi-Wan said as Churi looked closely to it.
"I smell a trap and the fact there on to us." Churi said as she glared at the ship.
"What makes you say that?" Cody asked to which Churi gestured to the other Clone who nearly lost his legs.
"They had those defenses in the vents so they know we're inside them. At the very least they would be trying to get to us seeing as the blast doors didn't work." Churi said as she then smirked a bit to this while she then figured it out. "Our droids might have had to leave the ship to avoid suspicion so that means if we want to get to the ship... we need to spring there trap." Churi said as she smirked to this.
"That sounds risky." Cody said to which Churi smirked to this.
"Rather we fight our way and waste both ammo and energy?" Churi offered to which Obi-Wan saw her train of thought.
"Very well how shall we do this?" Obi-Wan asked to which Churi smirked to them.
(Later)
Obi-Wan force pushed a grate open as Churi saw it fall down to the magma bellow. Once this was done Obi-Wan got a tow cable ready to jump down with as the hook was placed on the grates opposite to the one he forced open. Once he was sure it was secured he began to hop down to scout ahead. Once the Jedi Master was in position he looked around and nodded before gesturing the others to go down. Cody nodded and looked to the group before gesturing for Churi to go first.
"Ladies first." Cody offered to which Churi smiled.
"Oh my, what a gentleman hoping to score when we get back? Or maybe score in the middle of a battlefield." She teased to which Cody ended up like the other clone Churi teased which caused his subordinates to laugh a bit at his expense.
Once Churi was safely on the ground one by one the Clones and officers followed suit leaving Even Piell as the last one to make the jump. They were soon walking the narrow path with weapons armed just in case and started making their way to the Droid Speed bikes. Once they were there Churi scowled at the bikes and glared at them. "Talk about tacky." Churi said as she saw the speeder bikes. "At least the Republic have better ones." Churi said as she preferred the Republic version over the Separatist version. Comfort for her bum to be on while she's riding and blasting droids.
There was nothing in site at the moment, as Obi-wan knew something was up, as he tried his wrist communicator as he called out, "Anakin?"
"I must command on your escape tactics," the voice on the communicator wasn't Anakin, as it was Sobeck who seem to hack the frequency of it somehow as Churi look towards Obi-Wan's Communicator, hearing a none droid voice, right away she knows it was probably the other horror that she or Andros has yet to run into, and knowing how war can change people, even one being who was not a droid to command droids and run a prison that will torture prisoners for information or for fun, no doubt the commander would be a perfect host for a horror.
(Sobeck)
Sobeck was looking at the group on the monitors as he smiled in victory as he finally captured the first group with Master Even Piell with them as he said while leaning forward, "But in the end, it was easy to predict you're every move."
(Obi-Wan's group)
Suddenly hidden turrets came out from some pillars and aimed at the group with some spider-droids came down and pointed their weapon at the group as well. Then suddenly the doors behind the group opened up with commando and destroyer droids coming through cornering the group.
The clones had their weapon up as well with no idea of the next part would play out with Churi having one idea, as she drop her bag and raise her hands into the air and said, "I surrender."
With no other choice Obi-wan and Even Piell raise their hand as well with the clone soon following as well with Sobeck started to laugh as it can be heard over the Communicator.
(Anakin's group)
Anakin's group were keep traveling down the tunnels soon coming up to a huge pipe that lead upwards as Ahsoka ran ahead to check it out, as Anakin point it out as he said, "this pipe leads up to the top of the ridge where R2 will pick us up and get us out of here."
"And I suppose that the hatch that will get us in?" pointing to the only hatch there was that could lead in, which was a no brainer and just said it to see what the rest of Anakin's plan was from here.
"That right," Anakin said as he walk up before leaping up to reach the latch.
After a bit the hatch open up with Ahsoka, Andros, and Tarkin stood near it as a gas escape from it, With everyone cover their nose from the smell that came out from the pipe, no doubt it was a fuel line with Anakin said, "Let's go! Let's go, everyone in."
Anakin turn to the clones as he said to them, "Don't use your light and make sure your weapons are locked. The slightest electronic pulse could ignite this whole tube."
"I hope somebody tells the droids that," Tarkin said as Andros pull out Garoken sense it was the only non-electronic weapon he had that he can use in the pipe just in case, and said to Tarkin, "Someone might, but then they would fire upon us anyways so zip it and move it."
Andros went in behind Ahsoka with everyone else following as well as they travel up the pipe.
(Obi-wan group)
They were soon lead to the citadel command room that was big enough for everyone as Churi follow behind Obi-wan and next to Master Piell, and clones following behind, with cuffs on their hands and their hands behind their heads.
As Commander Sobeck stood there still smiling as he said, "Welcome back."
He began to walk torts them as Obi-Wan had a quip. "I must say you're not at all what I pictured for someone with such a small voice." Obi-Wan quipped to which the commander glared at them.
"I want your half of the information now or I'll start executing your men." Sobeck said as he glared at the group.
"This is war Sobeck we're prepared to die to protect the Intel." Even said as he glared at Sobeck with his one good eye.
"Besides we'll escape before you can even get it." Churi quipped as the commander then went torts Churi with his blaster ready.
"We captured you girl." He growled but Churi not at all scared smirked at him.
"Yeah but you wouldn't even have had to if we didn't get pass your defenses. I mean if we got in then that opens up a huge hole in your defenses." Churi said as the man glared at her. "Besides no point killing the Clones Even Piell doesn't have the information... I do." She lied as Sobeck heard this.
"What?" Even Piell asked as he was lost but Obi-Wan saw her plan.
"Yeah I have an ability to manipulate memories and I got the information out of him and left a decoy in its place." Churi said as she smirked at the Horror in disguise.
"And what is to stop me from executing these men till you confess?" He asked to which Churi shrugged and yawned. "Go ahead I hardly know them no love loss for me here." Churi bluffed as she knew the Horror was obsessed with getting this information right now. She saw how he pointed the laser at the Clones head as he looked ready to pull the trigger. Churi showed no emotion save for a cocky taunting look as the Horror glared at her. He could not call her bluff thus he was forced to lower his weapon to save his food for later.
"Cleaver girl." He said as Churi smirked at how the idiot bought it.
Just then the Tactical Droid spoke up. "Sir we have located the other group and our droids are closing in on them." The Droid reported from its console.
Soback laughed a bit as it seems not all plans were fool proof. "It seems your Resolve Jedi or otherwise only delays the inevitable." He began as he walked away. "Take them to interrogation torture them slowly." Soback said as he walked off. After all he'd like to tenderize his food before beginning a buffet.
(With R2's group)
R2 was jacked into a part sending beeps off reporting what he had found on their wayward friends. "So they were captured and now their moving them to the prison block." The Battle Droid asked to which R2 made beeps of confirmation before giving another to them.
"Yes sir we will move to intercept them." Another Battle Droid said to which the three Battle Droids moved out to find Obi-Wan's group.
(Obi-Wan's group)
Obi-Wan's team was being led by two red painted Battle Droids following a Mouse Droid. But when they rounded a corner they were met with R2's team who stopped the Battle Droid guards. "We'll take them from here." The Blue Battle Droid leader said stopping the red ones.
"Uh I think we have a." The Red one began as he looked to his cohort.
But the Blue Leader spoke up cutting the red leader off. "We'll handle it." He insisted to which the Red one nodded.
"Yes sir." He said before the two battle droids stepped aside releasing the prisoners to the blue droids unaware they were reprogrammed battle droids. Obi-Wan and Even Piell looked to each other before following R2's Battle Droids with the clones following after them.
Once they were out of hearing range though R2 was heard as the group stopped and look to the Astromech Droid. "Good to see you R2 I wondered where you've been." Obi-Wan said as Churi smiled wondering if she would have to pick their cuffs to get out.
R2 responded with a flurry of flashes and beeps showing his joy of seeing his friends while everyone was being released from their cuffs. "The Commander is pleased to see you as well sir but we'd like to return to the shuttle as soon as possible." The Battle Droid leader translated to which Obi-Wan nodded.
"Yes I couldn't agree more." Obi-Wan confessed as Churi was just waiting to get out of the cuffs.
"What about General Skywalker sir?" Cody asked as he looked to Obi-Wan
"Not to worry they'll switch to plan B." Obi-Wan said as Churi smirked to this.
"Let me guess Plan B is improvise?" Churi asked to which Obi-Wan nodded.
"Very much so." He said as they took their leave of the area.
(Anakin's Group the Pipe line)
With everyone climbing up the tall ladder up the pipeline, With Anakin leading the group up the ladder while Ahsoka and Andros clime up on the safety railing of the ladder to beat everyone up it, so if there are any droids above they can take care of it easily.
Andros had a cloth over his nose to help block out the smell so he will have ether hand ready to draw his sword with and fight with it and the sheath if needed.
They soon reach the top and jump onto the fuel line, as they see off to the side with Anakin seem to have beaten them up the ladder first somehow, but not really important as they went on ahead on the fuel line.
Tarkin climb up following Anakin up on the top level now with everyone else soon got up as well, using the walkway beside the fuel line as they cover their face to block out the smell as they can with Tarkin started to complain as he said, "How much longer do we going to wonder through this tunnel in the dark?"
Captain Tarkin, haven't you learned to trust me by now?" Anakin asked him with Tarkin being honest with him as he said, "You may have earned my trust General Skywalker, but my faith in your comrades is still lacking."
"You lack faith in the Jedi," Anakin said as he turn around to him removing his hand from his mouth to say that before turning back covering up his face again as Tarkin said, "I find their tactics ineffective. Anakin turn towards him while removing his hand from his face once again, as Tarkin seem to have poke a sensitive button with Anakin as he asked him, "Have I offended you?"
"No, I've also found that we sometimes fall short of victory because of our methods," Anakin said before putting his hand back over his mouth as Tarkin said, "Well I see we agree on something."
Andros could hear them clear enough with their voice is echoing through the tunnel enough to know what they are saying, but Tarkin also had no idea what sacrifice the Jedi had made when they enter into this war, and he wonder if Anakin had forgotten about the Jedi horror of what lead that Jedi down that path as it seem that Jedi had different thoughts on how Jedi should be, while giving up his hope and exchange it for power of a horror.
After a moment both he and Ahsoka stop as they saw a ladder leading out of the pipeline as they look to each other and given a nod knowing it was an exit as Ahsoka turn around and rush back to her master and said to them, "I think we found a way out."
(Outside the pipeline)
Ahsoka managed to open the pipe line as she lifted the lid up from the inside. She in turn proceeded to look around for any foes. All Ahsoka saw was a spot light but nothing more than that. "What do you see snips?" Anakin asked as he looked up to his young Padawan.
"The coast is clear." Ahsoka said but Andros felt that was too easy.
"Any sign of Obi-Wan and the shuttle?" Anakin asked as he looked to his Padawan.
"No I don't see him or R2 anywhere." Ahsoka responded as she opened the lid completely. But as Ahsoka got out she soon found herself having Laser Blasters pointed at her. Ahsoka sighed before she proceeded to cut the two Droids responsible down with her Lightsaber. When she did so she go out and saw more Battle Droids and Crab Droids coming their way. "We gotta go!" Ahsoka called out as she looked down the pipe before she used her Lightsaber to block the attacks.
"There can be a whole Battalion of Droids out there!" Tarkin called out to which Andros had a retort.
"Fine be my guest and hide in here." Andros said before he jumped out the pipe with Anakin on his tail. In turn Anakin, Ahsoka, and Andros used their Lightsabers to deflect laser blasts to give the Clones and Tarkin some needed cover to get out. Once Andros saw they were gone he nodded and looked to the Jedi. "We're clear go! Go!" Andros called out and in turn the trio ran off the pipe to get to cover.
Once they got to cover Tarkin knew things had gone south and decided to voice it. "The plan has been compromised the shuttle is not coming!" Tarkin called out to which Andros looked to the Captain.
But it was Anakin who responded instead. "Throw me a charge!" Anakin called out to Rex who did as told and threw a Charge over to Anakin. Anakin caught it before he proceeded to activate it and threw it at the Pipe. Once he did so the charge hit the lid and while the charge fell into the pipe line the lid closed and thus they all knew what was coming next. The Crab Droid looked down in worry hoping it was a dud only for the bomb to go off destroying both the pipe and the droids on it.
Just then as the group saw the destruction a Crab Droid landed in front of them clearly taken down as it shut down after landing. "Well that was great." Andros said as he knew they had to move now. He doubted that kind of explosion would have not attracted attention.
"No kidding." Ahsoka agreed as she saw this.
"Let's go time for Plan B." Anakin said surprising Tarkin there.
"There's always a backup plan." Anakin confirmed as he lead the group. "We'll meet R2 at Obi-Wan's position." Anakin said as he led the group to the Citadel.
(Citadel Command)
Sobeck looked at the holographic map of the Citadel as he tried to figure out where the other group was located. Just then the Tactical Droid spoke up getting Sobeck's attention. "Based on their recent position we believe they're traveling along the cave system." The Droid said pointing to the cave system highlighted in red.
But not long after a Battle Droid approached as he looked to the Commander. "Uh Sir the prisoners did not make it to the interrogation level." The Battle Droid said as Sobeck was not ticked with the Droid.
"What. Did. You. Just. Say?" He demanded as he glared at the B1 Battle Droid.
The Droid yelped in fear as he hid behind his arms hoping to shield himself. "We think they may have got to the." The Battle Droid began before the Tactical Droid spoke up.
"Sir Count Dooku commands you to contact him immediately." The Tactical Droid said as it looked to Sobeck.
Sobeck looked to the highlighted Pipe System no doubt the same one from the prior explosion and followed them where they lead to. In turn he knew exactly where they were now. "Inform Count Dooku that I am unreachable. Send all units to the airfield." Sobeck ordered as he looked to the Droids who did as told. Sobeck then sat down on his command chair knowing he would be in for a feast tonight. "It's their only possible way of escape." Sobeck said as he knew what to do now.
(Scene Break Airfield)
The group was lead into the Airfield as they still have their cuff on but left unlock, just keep up their act has capture prisoners that were about to be transfer to another prison, with Obi-wan being aware of the guns above as they were very much active and with one wrong move, they could be blasted as Churi saw the look on his face as she said, "Relax, unless someone of us get out of character, or they found out we're not in the interrogation room, we'll be fine."
"And what if they do?" Obi-wan asked as he rather have a plan on hand just in case as Churi said, "We run for it and hope we don't get blasted, simple as that."
Obi sighed as he want to face palm himself as he said to himself, "I have a bad feeling about."
Soon enough as the group reach the transport hip some battle droid were guarding it as one saw them coming up, and stop them as it said, "Hold it. Where are you going with these prisoners?
"We're transferring them aboard the shuttle from Citadel to point Tarron," the blue reprogram battle droid said as the normal one seem confuse as it said, "Point Tarron? There's no outpost there."
Churi hope the battle droid remember their lines on what to say as the blue battle droid said, "It was recently establish."
R2 beep out giving orders as the blue Droid said, "We have orders, we're coming aboard." Churi smile at this as she saw the other battle droid shrug and do what they are program to do, as they let the group on through, then suddenly there was a beeping sound coming from the droids as it was an incoming call he held up his gun and said, "Wait."
The droid B1 Battle Droid that was currently standing guard here answered it and heard from the communication droid speaking as it said to the droids, "The prisoners are escaping with reprogrammed battle droids let no one on board that shuttle."
The droid looked at Obi-and as he give a shrug as to show his cuff were off before dropping his arms down with his light saber coming out of his sleeves.
Churi follow obi-wan as she lower her arm and her weapon came out of her sleeves, as they both took out the two droids in front of them while some of the reprogram battle droid shot at a few nearby droids.
The guns above were now shooting down at them with everyone was running away and taking cover, with the battle droid handed the clone troops their weapons and packs back to them before taking acting as they try firing at the guns, it turns towards them and fire, destroying the first reprogram battle droid.
More droids came out from the citadel and fire upon the groups cover, unknown to them they were about to have back up as a droid on one of the guns were shot at, disabling it as Anakin, Ahsoka, and Andros came running with clones, the crew members, and Tarkin coming up behind before joining up with the others with Anakin said to Obi-wan, "Sorry I'm late."
"How nice of you to join us," Obi-wan said to his former apprentice, with Andros coming up to Churi and said, "I thought you guys will be out of here by now?"
"We would have, but it seem the commander of this place is smart, and he is the other horror we are looking for," Churi said that last part silently as not many people know about horror yet, and she knew Sobeck was the horror by the look in his eyes as Andros said, "Great, and we got a few dozen droid between us, him, and the getaway ship as well."
"He's right, the ship is surrounded," Ahsoka said as Tarkin suggest a plan of acting as he said, "We need to launch a full-forward assault and take that vessel."
"We may have a bigger problem, those turrets." Obi-Wan began as he looked to the group. "If we don't take them out they will use them to destroy the shuttle and prevent our escape." Obi-Wan warned as he knew they needed to get out somehow.
"Which is precisely why we should get aboard that shuttle and use the weapons to decimate those droids." Tarkin said as Andros glared at him.
"Assuming they don't destroy the ship with us inside it first." Andros said but then Anakin noticed something.
"Well whatever we're going to do we better do it fast." Anakin said as he pointed with his Lightsaber to Droids on speeder bikes coming after them. The Droids in turn began to open fire on them forcing the group to duck and cover from the onslaught upon them. The Droids in turn began to circle around once more as the Jedi and One Makai Knight ignited their Lightsabers. The deflected the laser blasts coming at them before Even Piell jumped up and sliced the head off one of the droids causing it and the speeder to crash. Anakin followed suit by jumping up and hijacking one of the speeders by kicking the Droid off it.
Andros seeing what Anakin was doing nodded to Churi and went on to do their part here. Andros gave Churi some cover as she came out with her Madou Tools and sent them at different Droids. In turn the tools glowed before dragging both droids with matching seals together and when they collided the exploded in a form similar to fireworks. Once that was done Andros saw a Crab Droid get close and stabbed it from its belly with his Lightsaber before cutting it cleanly in two. He then used the force to toss the two halves over to the Droid Army taking down a few more of them with ease.
Nearby Echo and Fives were doing their share as Fives was firing off his rifle giving Echo some needed cover. From there Echo threw a charge at the droids and saw how it went off under a crab droids. In the air Anakin was flying about on the Droid Speeder Bike trying to provide any aid he could. That was until the Droid the Jedi didn't hit got behind Anakin and began firing down upon him. But with how good of a pilot Anakin was he easily avoided the shots with ease. Even Piell of course saw Anakin needed help and waited for him to get close enough to jump on. Once Anakin was close Even jumped up and joined Anakin on the bike. Thankfully due to his small size the Speeder Bike was able to support both of their weights.
The Droid kept firing down on the two Jedi regardless but now that Even Piell was riding with Anakin he was able to deflect the laser shots with his Lightsaber. It wasn't long until the Droid was hit by its own shot and defeated giving the group the needed room to escape. R2 on the ground rolled up as with him was BD as the two droids looked a bit worried now with the alarms sounding. Their worry was proven to be accurate as the doors opened and Commando Droids came out all wielding riot shields in which they hid behind while firing off their lasers at the extraction team.
In response Echo and Fives left cover again with Fives firing his rifle and Echo sending out an explosive charge at them. The explosion destroyed some of the Commando Droids but the other ones were still operational as one got back up. When it did so it made its way to the nearby Turret and performed parkour to get to the turret controls. Echo saw this and activated his scope to figure out where it was going and in turn saw the Droid jump into the control seat.
"General Skywalker a Droid is manning one of those turrets. They're going to blow up the shuttle sir." Echo warned as Anakin heard this.
(With Anakin and Even)
Anakin and Even heard this and quickly got to work on stopping the Droid from activating or using the Turret in question. The two flew at the Turret while firing at it trying to hit the Commando Droids manning it. In turn the Turret took aim for them and began firing back at the two Jedi. But alas the shot did not hit and in turn the Turret managed to hit the flyer forcing the two Jedi to abandon it. The two Jedi hit the ground hard to which Churi ran over to them and looked them over.
"Are you two ok?" She asked as she looked to them.
"We're fine but we need to move!" Even said to which they saw why as the Turret began to make its way torts them. Churi in response after getting Anakin and Even back on their feet ran with them over to cover.
(Clones)
"Any ideas?!" Andros asked as he was with Echo and Fives behind cover.
"We only have one chance we need to stop it!" Echo called out as he then left cover before Andros could stop him. Echo grabbed a riot shield while Fives began to fire at the Droid Turret above. Fives and Andros went in as well with Fives firing his shots at the enemy with Andros deflecting laser shots as best he could. Just then the two looked and saw the Turret taking aim for the shuttle making the two go wide eye in shock.
"Echo look out!" Fives called out as Andros tried to move in to stop Echo and save his life. But as Echo was at the ship it was too late when the turret hit and destroyed the ship with Echo on it. Andros was close but he was blasted back from it and slid to Fives. Fives looked to Andros and then to the fire seeing his brother and best friends' fate. "ECHO!" Fives cried out as he saw the death of Echo.
All saw this but knew they had little time to grieve for their fallen comrade. "We have to go now!" Obi-Wan said as Fives helped Andros back to his feet.
"Wait he could still be in there!" Andros tried but Fives knew Andros was wrong.
"No you did all you could we. General Kenobi is right we need to go now!" Fives said as once Andros was on his feet the group began to make their escape needing their Plan B to get off the planet. The only thing left of Echo was his helmet which was busted up and singed after his failed sacrifice. They had no time to honor him as they needed to escape and thus they did so.
(Jedi temple)
In the war room as the masters were chatting with each other, but suddenly a call alarm came with a red button blinking as Master Plo-Koon rush over to answer it, and as he did a hologram of Obi-wan is seen running while getting blasted at by droids as Plo-Koon asked, "Master Kenobi, what has happen."
"I'm afraid we've had a situation with the shuttle," Obi-wan said as Anakin appeared beside him as the Master could guess they were in trouble as Anakin said to them, "By situation he means big explosion, we're gonna need a rescue."
"It will be done. I'm sending our cruisers now," Master Plo-Koon said as he will make sure everyone is out of there safe, then he hang up and turn towards the other Jedi masters as they give a look, as they hope they can make it in time to save them. He knew things were changing but right now all they can do is get there and hope for the best. IF worse comes to worse… it may be better that neither side had the information on the Nexus Route. Better that no one has it then letting it fall into Separatist Hands
