ESKK: Well a new chapter let's begin folks.
(Start Jinga Watchdog Sight)
Jinga was seen meditating in a cell at the Watchdog Sight. After Anakin's ship returned to Coruscant the Order managed to acquire Jinga to figure out what was wrong. So far they had found nothing which didn't exactly help Jinga's case on the matter. As Jinga sat there calmly it was clear he was in for some trying times that may very well have him excommunicated. Standing guard were two masked warriors who kept a close eye on Jinga as he communed with the living Force. Jinga was also trying to figure out what had happened and so far he had arrived to nothing.
Nearby his Madou Ring and gear was kept in a containment field as it seemed that Jinga's fate was decided. The Senate was still discussing what to do as Jinga had broken a sacred tenant of the Order. Despite his claims he did no such thing the evidence was stacked against him. Darts reaction to Jinga helped pain that horrid image of what he did despite having no recollection of the event. Unknown too many the blue butterfly of Amily flew about observing the scene as it waited to see if Jinga would fall to the darkness or if he would stand steadfast against it.
(Scene Break Padme's apartment)
Andros, Churi, Padme, Ahsoka, and Anakin were all gathered in Padme's apartment as Andros and Anakin were seen pacing back and forth. Churi and Padme were currently going over the laws of both the Makai Order and The Republic in order to come up with some sort of defense for Jinga.
"Andros, Anakin you're not helping." Ahsoka said as she watched the two panic.
"I just don't know what to do ok!" Andros called out as Anakin agreed. "Jinga is my best friend he'd never do something like this neither intentionally nor knowingly." Andros said as Anakin didn't know Jinga as well as Andros but was taking Andros side to defend the Makai Knight.
"Well pasting back and forth isn't going to help so sit down you two!" Churi called out going over a scroll while taking a sip of a drink. Andros and Anakin both looked and sighed before sitting down next to their significant other. "Well do you have something Senator?" Churi asked as Padme was drafted to help Jinga when she was told what happened.
"Our best bet would be a Temporary Insanity plea on the side of the Republic, but Darts claimed Jinga used the force so it may not be of much help." Padme said as she read through the bylaws trying to find a loophole to use.
"But Jinga is a Civilian recruited soldier in their eyes with no affiliation with the Jedi if he didn't use his Lightsaber." Churi said as she looked to Padme. "He could pass as an Ex Jedi who left the order on his own volition but that would cause backlash against the Jedi Order from the public." Churi said as she went over her own notes. "The plea may be able to work on the Order's side of things but we would be hard pressed to prove it." Churi said as she went over note after note of their orders laws and any prior cases of this proven as fact.
"So we're making some progress." Andros said as Churi sighed in defeat.
"I wish." Churi said as she was a gambler by trade not a lawyer or a politician. The basics of it was the same but even she with her insane luck knew there was some bets you just don't take. "Jinga is in a lot of trouble and being the only one with the ability to use the Gauntlet for the Tombs it may put a few brownie points in our favor." Churi said as she was deeply worried for Jinga as well.
"Our best bet from the Republic side of it would be a pardon from a higher authority." Andros said as he began to think of anyone who would agree with Jinga's methods. "To get the Pardon we'll very well need the Chancellor on board and I doubt Anakin's words alone will help." Andros said knowing how close Anakin was to Palpatine.
"Well there is one other person we can ask." Anakin said and thus Andros went wide eyed to that.
"No... No not happening I'm not asking that snake for help!" Andros called out as both Ahsoka and Churi knew Andros was talking about Tarkin. "I don't care how buddy-buddy you are with him Anakin I'm not walking up to him and asking him for help." Andros said as he hated Tarkin to which Logos had called that Andros had a hate boner for the guy.
"Look he can probably help convince the Chancellor to sign off on the pardon for Jinga." Anakin said trying to offer a suggestion here.
"Andros if you want to help Jinga, you have to swallow your pride and ask Tarkin for help." Zaruba said as Andros was out numbered here.
"FINE! But I won't like it!" Andros called out as he knew it had to be done.
"Ok good I can get into contact with him but I suggest we see him in person." Anakin said to which Andros cursed himself.
"Great." Andros said his voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Ok then while you two are off to meet with Captain Tar-Shit Ahsoka and I will dig into the Jedi Archives to see if we can find something to help Jinga's case." Churi said showing that she had an idea on how to progress this investigation.
"Well if this has happened to a Force User before the Archives will be our best bet." Ahsoka said and thus they had a plan.
"I'll try to see if I can pull some strings to help Jinga in case the Pardon fails." Padme said as she had a few people she could talk to try and help Jinga.
"You do that I have meeting with a snake." Andros said to which Anakin elbowed the Makai Knight for that. In turn with a plan in hand the group split up to dig through their own grapevines to try and aid Jinga.
(Scene Break Logos and Phonon)
Music playing in the background, with many screens to show many games going on, as a female waitress came around with a tray of drink, walking up to a familiar pair of two knights, as Logos and Phonon were at an Outlander club, being one of the few bars that aren't run by the Hutts or any known Gangs that Logos might have pissed off over the years.
With the waitress drop off the two drinks and a few shots at their table and said, "Here you go, two Star Splashes and four mega shots."
"Thank, and here, keep the change," Logos said as he paid the waitress while giving her a small wink as the waitress give a small giggle before walking off as Phonon looked at his friend as he said, "I'm surprise you didn't ask her for her holo-number."
"I would, but right now I need to focus on the bigger picture here," Logos said as he took a shot and down it with ease as he said, "And that's helping Jinga right now."
*Slam!
Logos put the shot glass upside down on the table, as Phonon smile to this as he knew Logos was a moron at times, a playboy, a pervert, a loudmouth, a dick, and occasionally the guy who put his foot in his mouth, but he is always a loyal guy for his friends, as the many time Phonon had to help save Logos life at times, he does return the favor of helping them… or hooking them up with a sister or friend of some girl he meet, but right now he is putting the thought of his friend first right now as Phonon said to him, "Unfortunately, there nothing much we can do at this point, all we can do now is wait and hope someone pull through."
Logos took a sip of his bigger drink before he said, "I get that but afterword's, if things doesn't work out, I say we Andros and Churi to help bush Jinga out before he could be take him anywhere, and put him somewhere to lay low for a while. Maybe Hoth as who would go to Hoth, which is a freezing ice ball of a planet, too look for a criminal?"
"That might work, if people didn't know we were friends and would do that if it happens, we'll be suspect numbers 1 through 4." Phonon said while giving sighed at this friend stupidity as he then Logo said, "Well… maybe we all could stay on Hoth then?"
*Slap
Phonon could only face palm to Logos ridiculous idea of a plan, as he shakes his head as he just reaches out for a shot glass and down it before he said, "How about we just leave those ideas alone."
*Slam!
"And hope that he will be found innocent and be set free, as if your planning this then you have no hope of Jinga to be found innocent," Phonon said as Logos held out his hand to the side of him and said, "Well yea, as what was the last time any sort of Justice or politics help out the real good guys? We all know Jinga is one of the real good guys. If anything we need to have a break out plan, which is why I came here to discuss it."
"Really and I thought it was for the drinks and waitresses," Phonon said as he took another sip of his drink as Logos said, "Not all the times… okay most of the times."
Phonon didn't respond in anyways to that as he just took his next shot as eh down it and slam it upside down.
(Jedi Temple)
Ahsoka and Churi were going through the Jedi Archives as they started searching for anything like a Jedi went crazy for some reason without reason, and so far they came up with nothing yet as Ahsoka going through much information as fast as she could looking for key wording of what had happen with Jinga.
Churi was searching of Jedi that may have went out of control or left the order for something, but it seem certain information is remove due to reason that ether the Jedi has turn to the dark side or banish from the order as she said, "What sort of order that get rid of information about past Jedi that went dark and only keep ones that make positive view on the Order itself? Even the Makai order keep record or information on certain people good or evil. No wonder why some people say the Jedi order is going down the drain."
With Ahsoka end, she was rubbing at her own eyes as she said, "So much information, but I can't find anything that can help Jinga."
"Ahsoka?" a voice called out as Ahsoka stop what she was doing and look to see Barriss standing there with a worry look on her face as Ahsoka said, "Barriss, is there something you need?"
"Is what I heard about Jinga is true, did something happen to him on your last mission?" Barriss question her as Ahsoka is surprise Barriss would asked that as she said, "It's… complicated."
"Tell me." Barriss urged as Ahsoka looked to her best friend and saw she won't take no for an answer.
"Just tell her." Churi said as she wondered if Jinga had some sort of attachment to her.
Then with a sigh Ahsoka began to tell Barriss what had happened on Kiros involving Jinga. "During our mission on Kiros Jinga had some sort of episode." Ahsoka said as this left Barriss confused a bit. "He was with us during the initial battle but the next he was gone. We didn't find him until later when Darts D'nar was trying to escape. He cut him off at his ship and well..." Ahsoka trailed off as she waited to gather herself. "He savagely and brutally tortured him." Ahsoka finished and thus Barriss was shocked to hear this.
Needless to say Barriss was horrified what she had been told. Jinga never seemed to type of person to do such a thing. She sat down to gather her thoughts to figure out how or why this happened. "No he couldn't he didn't." Barriss said as Ahsoka then spoke up.
"I know problem is that he has no recollection of doing those things to Darts hence why we're trying to find something in the Archives on Force users who may have lost control in one way or form." Churi said as Ahsoka nodded in agreement. "But the evidence is all against him, he was the only one with Darts at the time, a Lightsaber was in use one he clearly owns, and he shows signs matching those of attacks from a Force User." Churi said as to this Barriss was in shock to what she was told.
"There must be some sort of mistake." Barriss defended as Ahsoka agreed with her.
"That's why we're doing research if there is anything that can help Jinga it has to be here." Ahsoka said as she showed the data pad to Barriss who saw the information they were looking for.
"I need to speak with him." Barriss said as she looked to the duo. She knew that Amily wanted Jinga and she feared this may be her doing somehow from back when they spoke after the mission into the tomb.
"It's not that simple Barriss you're not with the Order so you can't enter the Watchdog sight where he's being kept at." Churi said in which Ahsoka agreed on this.
"There has to be some way you don't always follow the rules yourself." Barriss argued to which Churi knew she was beat there.
"Still to actually get you into the watchdog sight would be difficult on its own." Churi began but Barriss cut her off.
"I can point you to information that could help Jinga." Barriss said and thus Churi shut up. "There have been Force Users among the Jedi who had incidents like this but in their case the problem stemmed from a psychological standpoint that had been proven." Barriss said as she knew Jedi had suffered from mental illnesses such as PTSD which had them leaving the front lines due to it. "It's all yours if you help me talk to Jinga." Barriss said as Churi knew she was in a tight spot now.
"Fine." Churi finally agreed surprising Ahsoka on this but made a note to keep an eye on Churi in case she tries something with Barriss like she did to her. "But the information first then Jinga." Churi said glaring at Barriss and thus the Jedi Knight nodded and took out the Data pad and began to download the information they were looking for.
"Here." Barriss said as she used her access as a Jedi Knight to get them the information and needless to say Churi was surprised by this. There were some Jedi who had undergone traumatic events that left a deep scaring upon their minds. Such a thing had affected their connection to the Force, some even cut off their connection altogether due to those traumatic events. That was just one of many instances of the Jedi needing to talk to a psychologist to deal with their PTSD and Muli-Personality disorder.
"This... this will do this will do quite nicely." Churi said as she saw the information and knew it would help Jinga big time with clearing his name. "Let me go over all of this and I'll come up with a plan to get you into the Watchdog sight." Churi said keeping to her word and honoring it.
(Scene break over with Andros and Anakin)
The two arrived at the Republic Military building as they began to make their way to Tarkin's office. Andros was of course grumbling to himself about having to talk to the snake to ask for his aid. With his rank and connection to the Chancellor as well as his respect for Anakin he was the logical choice to ask for help. He could easily request and even obtain the reports pertaining to what Jinga did from the Republic side of thing but it didn't mean Andros had to like it. Thus Andros was here being made to visit the snake as Anakin could sense Andros frustration on the matter.
Anakin himself didn't like politics but knew it had its advantages especially with Anakin's own reputation during this war. But it didn't help that Andros was against Tarkin since they officially met the guy but didn't stop Andros from swallowing it pride to meet with the guy. "Andros do I need to leave you outside while I talk to Tarkin?" Anakin asked to which Andros looked to the Jedi Knight in question.
"No Anakin I promise I won't cut him up or shop his head off." Andros promised as despite hating Tarkin with a passion it wouldn't stop Andros from trying to get his help in aiding Jinga.
"Ok just checking is all." Anakin said as he looked to Andros hoping for the best.
"Despite not liking Captain Tarkin Andros would not jeopardize himself or Jinga's fate to cause him harm." Zaruba spoke up with the face plate off which made Anakin sigh in relief.
"Ok but just try not to snap at him and let me do the talking unless it involves Jinga." Anakin said and thus Andros nodded to him.
"Got it." Andros said in agreement for the time being.
In turn they arrived at Tarkin's office lucky that he agreed to meet with them despite his busy schedule. This would be a great help for them as Andros hoped Tarkin will be able to help them in providing aid for Jinga's case. "I hate politics." Andros said to which Anakin nodded.
"Same here but we have to suck it up." Anakin agreed knowing that Politics had way too many flaws to be well liked.
In turn they proceeded to enter the room and found Tarkin finishing up a conversation with someone. "Ah General Skywalker what a pleasant surprise." Tarkin said as Andros already had the impulse to force choke the guy but opted not to.
"Hello Captain Tarkin or should I say Admiral now?" Anakin said as he greeted the Admiral causing Andros to odd sided roll his eyes.
"Yes my promotion was met with much fanfare." Tarkin said as he didn't seem focused on said promotion. "Now might I ask what brings this particular visit about?" Tarkin asked as he was a busy man after all.
"Yes as I'm sure you read there was a slight situation with a recent mission." Anakin said as he looked to Tarkin.
"If you speak of the one to Kiros then yes I am quite aware of it rumors of course I suppose you might shed some light upon this." Tarkin asked as Anakin nodded.
"We don't know the details ourselves but a soldier Jinga had managed to corner off the enemy leader Darts D'nar and had coursed him to provide Intel. Though that is a good thing how he went about it has put him in a tight spot." Anakin said as he looked to Tarkin who paid attention. "He claims to not know how or why he did it so I was hoping you can possibly help him avoid any punishment." Anakin said to which Tarkin nodded to the Jedi.
"Depends did Darts provide the information once he was healed?" Tarkin asked to which Anakin nodded.
"Yes the colonists were taken to his home planet of Zygarria." Anakin said as he was there during the interrogation to make sure Darts provided every nugget of Intel.
"Then I don't see why he should be trialed when his methods provided results." Tarkin said as Andros saw this was easier then he thought.
"So you'll do it then, Admiral?" Andros asked to which Tarkin gave Andros a calculating look.
"That depends on you and the information about your armor you provided me before." Tarkin said as Andros realized what Tarkin meant.
"I... don't follow." Andros said as he knew what Tarkin meant. HE told him his armor was rare and possible the only one in existence and this guy was clearly one with a photographic memory it seems.
"I just find it hard to believe that that golden armor of yours is the only armor in the entire galaxy, I believe it's one of kind by its looks, but it's not the only kind is it?" Tarkin said as he was pushing the subject as Andros thought back to the mission when he had little to no choice but summon his armor in front of everyone, even though Churi said she had erase certain people memories of it, it seem Tarkin keep that memory somehow, by a force user protected or help him remember, an unknown rogue member of the Makai order gotten involve somehow return the memory, or Churi got lazy or didn't do it properly, and he didn't think it was the last one.
Anakin is surprise by this as well as how Tarkin still remember that but he didn't want to question him on how he remember that as well as Andros soon tells Tarkin, "Your right, my armor is unique but it isn't the only one, but the numbers of armor are also limited and need years of training to use one. But if you're looking for something about them or try to make them yourself… then you better give up on it."
"And why is that? Powers that been given by the armor could make a group of 10 men given the strength of a 100, or maybe a thousand," Tarkin said as Andros soon said, "Maybe, but I do not know how the armors are made, and even if I do, with the numbers of men that hold them or how powerful they could become, what good is strength of a thousand men if you don't know how to use it, let alone control it, as with all the training you could have to use one, if you're not careful or become reckless with the armor, the armor itself… will kill you or kill everyone around you, force user or not as under that armor… your still mortal."
"Is that supposed to scare me?" Tarkin said as he doesn't seem as worry as Andros said, "No, that is my warning to you Tarkin, as if someone were given great power, and rely on it too much, it could kill them, as it's no different if someone uses a bomb, a blaster, the force, or the armor it make no different other than how you would die."
Anakin looked at Andros and wonder what is he meaning on the armor could kill him, as its true someone could die if someone overly use the force as it also connect to their life force energy, but how could the armor kill them?
Tarkin still didn't looked moved by this information, but he give a sigh as he seem disappointed as he said, "Very well then, I'll shall talk to the Chancellor about Jinga situation and get the charges dropped, but you would still need other evident to support this as well as even I know the Chancellor can only do so much for your friend."
"That is being taken care of as we speak, and hopefully we will get some results soon," Anakin said as he took over talking knowing Andros was at his limit of talking to Tarkin as the Admiral himself said, "Good then, I guess all I can say is good day to you both."
They both nodded as they soon turn around and leave with Andros felt a bit relief about this but then Tarkin said before he could exit the room, "And Andros, just to let you know, we're not done just yet talking about the armor, but I'll leave it at there for now, until another time."
Andros didn't say a word as he just left without saying a word to the snake, as the both of them left the building, Andros took a deep breath before cracking his neck get that tension out before letting out the breath as Anakin patted his shoulder and said to him, "You did well in there, I'm proud of you Goldie."
"Thank… Sky-guy," Andros said as Anakin just give a smirk to that as he let off his hand and soon said to him, "And about what you said back there… what did, you mean the armor could kill you?"
"You remember me saying a knight can only don the armor for a certain amount of time and cannot exceed pass that time as well?" Andros asked him, with Anakin giving a nod as he remember the drifter incident on their way to Typhon for the first tomb as he said, "I still remember."
"There nothing much of what I can tell other than the lost beast will roar out and the knight will be devoured by it," Andros said in an encrypted message as Anakin didn't understand it, but he will take it for now, as he wonder… what is the Lost Beast?
(Makai Order watchdog Coruscant branch)
In the dark halls of the watchdog Valina, things were quiet and with no one around to see the hidden door into the watchdog sight opened up, with Churi walking through, soon to look left and right to see if anyone around before she turn slightly and said, "Close is clear, you can walk on through."
"You sure?" The voice of Barriss is heard as she asked, with Churi said, "Yes, as long you hold that tag I given you, it should let you in by-passing the sensors here."
Soon enough Barriss step through the door as the magical barrier didn't rejected her out as Barriss held the tag as she look at it and said, "This is pretty amazing."
"I know, and believe me it's not easy to make one of those, so you better be grateful for it as the next one will cost you," Churi said as then she peek down the halls as she said, "As long we don't run into anyone here, we should be safe, but just in case, stay behind me and keep your hood up until we reach Jinga chamber."
Barriss nodded as she keep her hood up like she was told and follow Churi closely behind so she doesn't get lost, Barriss could not believe the pathway of the place she was in as it seem like a maze, with one wrong turn and anyone can get lost without proper guidance.
They soon came to a pair of huge doors as Churi pull out her brush and said, "Here we are, stand a bit back away from me, I don't want you to get hit by something."
Barriss nodded as she took a few steps back with Churi held her madou brush in both hands as the tip of it glow, a magic circle appeared on the huge doors that seem like a lock in itself with Churi thrust her arm forward that held the burst while she turn her arm as well, with a rectangle symbol on the door suddenly mimics Churi movement as turns too, with the sound of a deadbolt lock is heard being unlocked, with the sound of stone pillars moving, the doors open up on their own with two stone slabs are seen on the other side of the door that seem to have keep the doors closed before.
Behind the huge doors themselves, across the room Jinga is meditating behind some bars as he waited for his judgment to come as he open his eyes and surprise to see Churi before him as he said, "Churi, didn't think I'll see you here."
"Well I never really had a reason to come here anyways unless it's for something," Churi said with Jinga who nodded and said, "What's the reason for you visiting, if it's to break me out of this place then I would reconsider I don't think even you can release me, even if I ask you to."
"Someone wanted to see you," Churi said as she step to the side and reviled Barriss standing behind her with Jinga not really surprise by this as he stood up and said, "What are you doing here?"
"I heard what happen, and I wanted to see you," Barriss said with Churi step out of the room and said, "I'll leave you two to chat for a bit, but I'll be outside watching out so say what you want to say and quick."
Churi grab the doors herself and pull them close to give them privacy as Jinga looked at Barriss and asked her, "Why did you come here, Barriss?"
"Jinga." Barriss began as she tried to find the right words to say what she intended to say. "Did you knowingly harm that Separatist?" Barriss asked looking Jinga dead in the eye.
"No I didn't." Jinga repeated the answer he told many times over.
"You honestly have no memory of going to his ship?" Barriss asked as Jinga saw the way she asked she wanted to be sure he wasn't lying to her of all people. It's, one thing to lie to friends and allies but to lie to one close to your heart seems to be a step to far for some.
"No all I remember was waking up there." Jinga said wondering why Barriss was asking these questions.
Barriss didn't know if it was Amily trying something from within or if it was of her own volition but being here was already breaking many laws to both the Makai Order and the Jedi Order. "Jinga… please I know you're telling the truth but it feels like... your only telling the truth you want to tell." Barriss said as she looked to Jinga who gave her an accusing look. "I mean it's like you have a theory as to why you blacked out but you don't want to say it." Barriss said as she looked to Jinga.
"I have a theory yes but I don't want to share it." Jinga confessed as he was on his own here.
"Please Jinga tell me the truth." Barriss said wanting to hear it from Jinga.
"I can't." Jinga admitted as he looked away from Barriss.
"Why!?" Barriss all but yelled before pulling herself back from it and calming herself. "Why?" She repeated calmer not knowing where that small outburst came from.
"Barriss…" Jinga began as he looked into her eyes and saw the look in them. He may not be an Empath like Andros but his connection to the Force easily compensated for that with ease. He looked and saw what ailed Barriss as she looked to him. She was considering every possibility even one where Jinga… didn't make it past his trial. Jinga even considered it and Jinga put his hand out to Barriss. Barriss did the same and in turn their hands touched the other. Following this through the force they reached out to each other.
"Jinga… if there is anything you want to tell me it's better to do it now." Barriss said as Jinga then took his hand away and his reach through the Force.
"I... I am cursed." Jinga said as he looked to Barriss. "In my blood a darkness flows from the past from my mother's side." Jinga explained as he looked to Barriss. "Long ago during the Old Republic the Chancellor at the time ordered the genocide of the Sith species to stop any possible rise of the Sith Empire. He didn't stop with the species he tried to eradicate the entire civilization and to the Galaxy succeeded." Jinga explained as he looked to Barriss. The Jedi even now felt it was a mistake to wipe them out down to the last child but they missed a few of them." Jinga confessed as Barriss paid attention.
"Forced to run and hide they lost everything and with no means to enact their revenge these last few Sith Purebloods knew their time had come and all they could do was survive and keep surviving for as long as they could." Jinga explained as Barriss saw where this was going but Jinga needed to say this. "To this day there are only four Sith Purebloods left in the Galaxy in all. So once they die the Galaxy will never see the species again." Jinga explained making Barriss realized these four Jinga spoke of... they couldn't be could they? "My father happened upon them one day and when he met my mother a fondness began to form between them until eventually I became the result." Jinga explained as he looked to Barriss.
"So you're saying?" Barriss asked worried that there was still Sith Purebloods left in the galaxy.
"Yes... my blood is half of the Sith species half monster." Jinga said as he sat there as Barriss understood why he wanted to hide it. If anyone found out Jinga's mother would no doubt be hunted down again only worse. She could feel it Jinga cared for his family but he chose the path away from them no matter how much it hurt all parties involved.
"Jinga…" Barriss said as she looked to Jinga and his own turmoil. "Jinga you are no monster." Barriss said as she looked to her... to Jinga. "You chose another path away from the dark you chose to walk the path you walk now." Barriss said as she looked both sternly and lovingly to Jinga. "Jinga despite your blood lineage you chose the future of what can be not the past of what was." Barriss said as she looked to Jinga as the two grew closer. "You aren't the Sith of the path you are who you always been, Jinga the Shining Shadow Knight Roze nothing more nothing less." Barriss said as she looked to Jinga.
"And what am I to you, Barriss?" Jinga asked as the two grew ever closer to each other.
"Honestly?" Barriss said more then asked as she looked to Jinga. "Someone who's found his way into my heart." Barriss confessed as she looked to Jinga. "Ever since we met thoughts that go against the Jedi Code have become a constant within my mind." Barriss said as she looked to Jinga. "Those thoughts came with feelings that make it feel like I'm dying everyday fighting off the dark." Barriss said as she looked to Jinga deeply. "And I'm afraid to learn if you share these feelings and thoughts." Barriss said as she then looked away.
Jinga then reached out to her and turned her face softly to face him. "I don't think it even matters at this point." Jinga said as the two grew closer again. "As it seems my life is about to be destroyed... but I can let it be so in content knowing I got to look upon you and thus we were allowed to share these words together." Jinga said as the two grew closer.
"But if you don't... then we may not." Barriss began as she was at a loss for words now.
"Then it's better to go without regrets even if it does not happen." Jinga said and thus the two shared a passionate and loving kiss that even went as far as to slip tongue in. When they parted Jinga and Barriss rested their foreheads against the other as they looked deeply into the other.
"If you don't die then this would be but another secret between us." Barriss said causing Jinga to smile knowing the meaning Barriss's words there. "The Jedi Code would frown upon such things as this." Barriss said to which Jinga smirked.
"Let them I'm sure the Force will understand in the end." Jinga said to which Barriss smiled and had her response to this.
"In that case then I will say the truth." She said as she grew close to Jinga again. "The truth that I truly do love you." Barriss confessed with great passion and in turn the two shared another kiss.
(With Churi)
"Oh boy." Churi said as she saw another romance that shouldn't be happening. "I need to start charging them for this crap." Churi said as this was ANOTHER secret she had to keep now. "Jeez I know I have a few Jedi as friends with benefits but how repressed are they?" Churi asked wondering if the Jedi even jerked off at this point.
Unaware to her though the same Butterfly that Amily had flew about to a nearby water spot. But when it landed the water began to gain black ink like spots that began to spread. Despite the love and passion inside the room dark times were clearly ahead one that could not be stopped.
(Scene Break a week later Padme's office)
The group consisting of Anakin, Ahsoka, Logos, and Phonon were waiting on the news about Jinga. They had worked tirelessly to defend Jinga and clear the charges. So it came as no surprise that they were asked to be character witnesses. Andros sat on one of the chairs with his hands interlocked on his face as Ahsoka kept close to him to comfort him if Jinga didn't return.
It wasn't long until the door opened and from it Churi, Barriss, and Padme walked in. "Well?" Andros asked with some hope.
"I'm sorry." Churi began as she put the data before them while everyone's hearts fell for it. Just then the girls began smirking giving off a mischievous aura before Churi continued. "It seems we're still stuck with him." Churi added and thus the door opened again and from it Jinga walked back in his gear with the four Knights master Tarlos accompanying him.
"Jerk!" Ahsoka scolded as everyone saw Jinga.
"Don't be so hard on her." Padme said as she smiled to Jinga.
"Yeah it was my idea." Jinga said as the guys then ran over to him... well Logos and Andros ran over to give him a bro hug while Phonon calmly patted his shoulder.
"The order deemed that his actions were not his own and gave him a stern talking and scolding to keep better control of himself." Tarlos said as he opened his flask and took a swing from it before putting it away again. "He's going to be required to visit someone to talk to so he doesn't have another lapse." Tarlos said and thus the group were happy to hear that.
"Ok that answers the Makai aspect but what about the Republic aspect." Andros asked to which Padme spoke up on this.
"Well thanks to Tarkin and Chancellor Palpatine's words Jinga's charges were dropped." Padme said and thus Andros smiled to this.
"Thank the Force that Anakin has the Chancellor on speed dial." Logos said as Anakin glared.
"I do not!" He defended but this got a laugh out of them all.
"I do hope I'm not interrupting." Came and old voice as the group looked and saw the Chancellor himself Sheeve Palpatine walk in.
"Ah Chancellor no not at all." Anakin said as Palpatine walked in.
"I suppose I owe you my life then." Jinga said as he looked to Palpatine.
"No not at all Jinga my boy what had happened despite heinous would not warrant a firing squad." Palpatine said projecting a grandfatherly aura here. "Tarkin could not come visit himself but he does send a message on what you did to try and do more of it." Palpatine said sounding to be against it.
"Yes well I'd rather not do that." Jinga said as Palpatine nodded.
"That's good it keeps us from stopping to the Separatists level of depravity in this war." Palpatine said as he looked to the group. "Now then sorry to be short I had simply came here to offer my congratulations of your trial Jinga." Palpatine said and thus Padme nodded with Jinga and Anakin.
"Thank you Chancellor." Padme said and with that Palpatine nodded and bid them farewell before leaving.
"I like him." Jinga confessed as he looked to the group.
"Trust me a lot of people do." Anakin said as Andros was not one of them as he was oddly silent.
"Andros?" Ahsoka asked her boyfriend as she looked off. "What's wrong?" She asked as Andros had Ahsoka pulled to the side.
"It's just... something about that guy rubs me the wrong way." Andros confessed shocking Ahsoka on this.
"What how can you say that?" Ahsoka asked to which Andros had an answer.
"I can't get a read on him that's the thing." Andros said as he couldn't detect the guy with his Empath abilities not even through the Force aid.
"It's true I could not detect anything from him at all which is suspicious." Zaruba said knowing full well any living being no matter how well hidden they are always give off something that can be detected by only the most acute of beings so to hide in completely like this was unheard of.
"Look I'm sure it's just stress on your part sweetie." Ahsoka said as she rubbed his arm smiling to him with promise of fun later if he behaved.
"I hope so." Andros said letting it be for now just before Logos spoke up.
"I say we go celebrate take the night off and drink till we drop. I'm buying!" Logos called out as Churi laughed to this.
"Then better open a tab you know my expensive tastes Logos." Churi said causing Logos to go wide eyed.
"Think before you speak." Tarlos said as he walked with the others.
"Dammit." Logos said but Anakin then spoke up.
"Yeah tonight let's celebrate but a few days its back to the field." Anakin said getting eyes on him. "We have a plan to find the Colonists we know WHERE they are but not their exact location." Anakin said which meant in about two days its back to the front lines.
"Got it." Churi said as she already had a few ideas on how to pull this off.
As everyone began to leave Ahsoka pulled on Andros arm and smiled to him. "What?" Andros asked as Ahsoka smiled to him.
"So while everyone is celebrating we can sneak off a bit the question is... my place or yours?" Ahsoka asked causing Andros to go wide eyed to this a bit while blushing at her statement.
