*sigh*
Yuzuru sighs for who know how many times and the reason of that is…
"Hello, everyone, I am the new vice student council president! My name is Saigusa Haruka, hope we get along!"
The girl he has only just met yesterday, are now introducing herself to all the students body in front of the auditorium.
"It's my first time doing something like this; I hope we all get along!"
'She is only introducing herself to the NPCs, but why am I being so uncomfortable about it?' Yuzuru secretly thinks.
Yes, it all happened yesterday.

"EHHHHH?!" Yuzuru cried out.
"Hey, don't be so loud, where is your composure?" The girl scolded
"B-but… B-but… I mean!" Yuzuru stuttered
"What, so you do not accept?" The girl asked.
"No, that is not what I meant but…"
"Then it is fine, isn't it?" She concluded.
"W-well, it's fine but…"
"You want to know why?" the girl inquired.
"Well, yes."
"Is that the question you want to ask me with your quota?"
"N-no, that's not it!" Yuzuru refused. He could not waste his precious chance on a question like that. He wouldn't make that mistake again.
"I'm just kidding, I will just answer you." The girl said before continuing, "I also want to try helping out the souls with regrets to move on, though I suppose the reason I'm doing it is different from you."
"And what is your reason?"
"I can't tell you that yet, but I promise I will tell you… someday…" The girl spoke sentimentally.
"I see…" What else could he say? The girl refused to tell him.
"Anyway, this is it. Please take care of me, president. ^^"

And so the girl became his vice student council president, working directly under him.
'And the answer I got from her was not that satisfying…' Yuzuru thinks back to what happened when he asked her a question. The question is…
"Why were you messing with the normal students, making they acted like newcomers and all."
"Oh, that? I just want to show you what I'm capable of. It's called a first impression. Since I may have to ask to become your second-in-command, I have to show you what I am made of." The girl answered easily.
"What? Just that?" Yuzuru was baffled.
"Yes, just that. What did you expect?" The girl replied evenly.
"That is…" Yuzuru stopped.
"Whatever, just forgets it." He continued.
He sighs again as he finishes thinking back on it.
'And what am I supposed to do, with a helper like her?' Yuzuru thinks hard
'I almost know absolute nothing about her thanks to the rule of that game, I only got to ask her 3 questions and I wasted 2 of it, what am I supposed to do about her?' Yuzuru mentally sighs as he thinks so.
But it is unknown to Yuzuru at that time, that she would be such an amazing helper.

*sob* * sob* *sob* There is a sound of a girl crying.
But it's not a cry of sadness; it's a cry of gratitude.
"Thank you *sob* so much, Haruka-san, *sob* Thanks to you, I am able to move on." That is the last words of the girl before she disappears.

…
"Ok, that is another one." Haruka smiles and says to Yuzuru cheerfully.
"Good work, Saigusa-san." Yuzuru nods at her words and replies.
It is already tenth person that Saigusa Haruka helps moving on.
It has only been two weeks since she became the vice student council president, but she still gets this result…
She skillfully talked to all the newcomers and helping them move on by using various methods.
She insulted those that are too prideful and made them became her friends.
She patiently talked to those who refused to open up, and successfully made them opening up to her.
After she made friends with them, she actively helped them move on.
Like the last girl, she helped them all move on with gratitude…

Later that day, Yuzuru couldn't help but talk to Haruka.
"Umm… Saigusa-san, is it okay for me to ask you some questions?" Yuzuru begins.
"Yes, it is okay, but whether I answer honestly or not is another thing." Haruka replies, smirking.
"C'mon, don't be like that…" Yuzuru groans.
"I'm just kidding, so what questions?" Haruka responds.
"Why are you so good at this?" Yuzuru asks.
"So good at what? Be more specific." Haruka requests.
"I meant I have been helping out the newcomers move on for far longer than you do, but I still couldn't do it as great of you. Within a very short time, you are able to make them move on." Yuzuru replies.
"Oh? I see. So you do wonder about that, huh?"
"Yes, sure, I do." Yuzuru responds.
"Well, I guess I could tell you…" The girl pauses for a sec before continue.
"…That's because back when I was still alive, I studied psychology."
"Study psychology?" Yuzuru confirms
"Yes, I am." The girl answers.
As Yuzuru is about to ask the next question, the girl continues.
"…I started the study when I was a child. I have been very serious about it. I need the knowledge in order to make my dream come true, but in the end…"
"In the end, what?" Yuzuru asks.
"Well, in the end I'm here, in this place fills with regret souls. I died without being able to make my dream come true. What a bad live, doesn't it?"
"…" Yuzuru goes silent.
He just knows too little about the girl, so he couldn't make any comments.
She is a mysterious girl as far as he concerns. They haven't known each other for very long and he know almost nothing about her. He once wanted to ask her why she refused to move on, and instead choose to be his helper even after she knew what kind of place this was, but he decided against it.
Everyone has their own reason, like he had when he decided to stay here, even if that meant he had got to part with Kanade…
Yes, in the end he had decided to stay here over being with Kanade. Of course having both would be better, but it was not possible.
Why? He had struggled for a long time before he finally found out the reason why he had chosen this path.
It's is because he is needed here.
In his life, he has struggled with his life, didn't know the answer of what was it he had been living for. Not until Hatsune died, did he know that he did have a purpose in living, it was for someone to say "Thank you" to him.
That's why he is needed here, so that those with regrets could be able to move on and say the words "Thank you" to him. On the other hand, he wouldn't be so arrogant as to believe that Kanade needs him by her side. Although it was true that he was the one who gave her the heart, but that didn't mean she needed his presence there too.
Ironically, the last words Kanade said to him were also a thank you but it did not make him feel happy at all.
That's why when all is said and done, he decided not to ask the girl, Saigusa Haruka, the reason of her deciding to stay here.
And instead he chooses to continuing to treat her as "a mysterious girl" without knowing anything more about her.
Except that this mysterious girl seems to be much more skill in doing his duty!
And so his peaceful days in the afterlife continue, except that this time, he has this mysterious girl alongside with him.
