Angel Player and guns

One day in a peaceful Afterlife, Yuzuru decides to show Haruka something, so he leads her to a place.

The place was the room of the previous student council president, or in another word, Kanade's room.

"Here it is. We're here," Yuzuru says as they both reach the room.

"Oh, so this was the room of the girl you love?" Haruka says teasingly in response.

"Yes, yes, it is. So what? Do you have a problem with that?!" Yuzuru says, annoyed.

"Nope, not really," smilingly says, she enters the room.

"Honestly this girl…" Sighing and shaking his head once more, Yuzuru also enters the room.

"So? What do you want to show me, Otonashi-san?" The girl asks.

"Here," saying so he points at the computer in the room.

"A computer? And what?" The girl continues to ask.

"What I told you about is in there, "The Angel Player"," Yuzuru replies.

"Oh! That, huh?" Haruka says excitedly as she walks to the computer and opens it.

"Hmm… let me see… Ah! This!" She opens "The Angel Player" program in the computer.

"…Hmm… interesting," She messes around with the program for a while before she says that.

"So, what do you think?" Yuzuru asks as he sees her really interested in the program.

"This is cool, Otonashi-san! I couldn't even imagine me using these skills." Haruka responds.

"I'm glad you like it." Nodding once, Yuzuru smiles.

"Hey, can I use this Angel Player?" The girl asks.

"…What do you plan to use it for?" Yuzuru asks.

It is an unusual request, even from this mysterious girl. Since there is no more fighting in this world, the objects such as guns and Angel Player are useless. What does the girl plan to use the program for? Will she misuse it? These are important questions that need answers, so obviously Yuzuru wouldn't let her have The Angel Player unless she has his trust.

"There is no important reason; I just think it will be fun if I have it." The girl answers

"…Then sorry but I can't let you have it." Yuzuru declares.

"Fine then," The girl nods.

"…Don't you think you are giving up too easy?" Yuzuru is puzzled as the girl readily giving up.

"But you are the owner and you said I can't have it, right? Then what choice do I have but to give up?" The girl asks.

"That is…" Yuzuru has to admit, what the girl said makes sense.

"Then how about guns? Could I have some guns instead?" The girl continues to ask.

"E-eh, what will you use it for?" Yuzuru asks.

"So do you mean do you have some?" The girl tries to confirm.

"Well, I do have some guns and bullets from when the battlefront was still active left, but…" Yuzuru pauses, "…I just don't understand it. Why do you want it? First are The Angel Player, and now the guns."

"It's just that I'm bored, living in this world and all." The girl confesses.

"Why don't you just move on then?" Yuzuru retorts.

"Come on, you know I can't do that, don't you?" The girl says exasperatedly.

"Yes, yes." Yuzuru replies. Of course he knows the reason why the girl won't move on. The girl has such a peculiar dream after all….

"Anyway, can I have some guns?" The girl asks again.

"…"

"…"

Yuzuru stares at the girl for a while before he finally relents, "*sigh* Fine, you can have it."

"Yay!" The girl shouts happily.

"But just tell me first, why do you want some?" Yuzuru asks.

"Like I said, I'm bored. So I want to do some shooting practice. And…" She begins.

"And what?" Yuzuru continues to ask.

"Well, although I don't dislike reading books, I would prefer shooting practice than reading some boring books." The girl continues.

"Okay, that's fine then." Yuzuru nods.

"I will retrieve the guns and bullets from the old guild. Just wait for a while."

"Okay!" The girl nods.

"Ah! And anyway, Otonashi-san?" As if remember something important, she begins again.

"Yes?" Yuzuru responds.

"Although you said I can't have The Angel Player, can we at least use it together then?" She asks.

"…Why are you so adamant in using it?" Yuzuru is having a headache.

"Oh? Are you sure you want to speak to me like that? This is all for your benefit, Otonashi-san." The girl says mysteriously.

"…What do you mean by that, Saigusa-san?" Yuzuru asks, puzzled.

"I mean, after all, if we use it, we might get closer in knowing the truth about the ring. I said I would help you figure it out, weren't I?" She continues.

"Eh?" Yuzuru is stunted at her words.

"Come on, don't be baffled!" the girl begins again, "You told me about how you guys made weapons from dirt and all, right? It's magical. This Angel Player is the same, it's a very magical thing, since that ring is also magical, don't you think if we know more about The Angel Player, we could also know more about the ring?"

"…." Yuzuru goes silent for a while, thinking about Haruka's words.

"…I guess it's possible. So I guess we can use The Angel Player together."

"I'm glad you agreed," Nodding once, Haruka says with a smile on her face.

And so after they both reach an agreement, Yuzuru's path to know the truth starts from here.

"How foolish, these lowly humans," A voice scolds.

"What's wrong with it, my loyal servant?" A more sacred voice rings out.

"Yes, my lord! These humans are foolish enough to believe that they could understand the ring of my lord's power just by using the so called Angel Player which is a much more inferior object."

Chuckling a little, the sacred voice responds, "Don't be too hard on them, my loyal servant. They are just mere mortals, being able to do this much is already admirable."

"But to think they compare Angel Player which was made by mere human with the ring made by your divine power, it is such a blasphemy," The voice still continues the scolding.

"Yes, yes, unfortunately they couldn't reach the answer by relying on the power of that Angel Player thing. My ring is much more magical than that." The sacred voice agrees.

"My lord, that's why I said it is such a blasphemy." The voice repeats again.

"But I am interested though."

"What are you interested about, my lord?" The voice asks.

"What kind of answer they will reach using The Angel Player to find out more about my ring," The sacred voice answers.

"…"

"…"

Uncomfortable silent passes for a while before the sacred voice begins again.

"Now, let me see what kind of answer you will reach, Otonashi Yuzuru and Saigusa Haruka."

This thing piques the divine being's interest.
