Author's note: Hello everyone! Sorry for a late update. I ended up reading some novels for the past 2 months. Here is another chapter from the living side.

Enjoys!

Qwqs

The reason I love him then and now

"Thank you again for helping me, Naoi-san, Ayato-kun!" Kanade bows her head at the both of them in front of their house as they see her off.

She decides to call the boy Ayato seeing as they are both a Naoi, so as to not confuse them.

"This isn't that big of a problem, I'm glad we were able to help you," The woman smiles.

"…"

"Come on, Ayato, say something too!" The woman urges her son when she sees him does not say anything."

"…"

Still weird out by her earlier peculiar action, the boy refuses to say anything.

After all, she suddenly said something weird, implied they know each other and all.

"I apologize for my son's rudeness, he usually isn't like this." The woman bows in apologize.

"Ah, no, there is no problem. Actually it is my fault, saying something weird and all," Kanade says. At least she knows that what she said in the spur of moment sounded weird to Ayato who has never met her in this life.

"… Little miss, are you sure your head is alright? You are acting weird since the hypnosis," Finally the boy speaks.

"I'm quite alright, Ayato-kun. No need to worry about me," Kanade replies.

"If you say so…"

Nodding to herself once more, Kanade begins.

"Then I will take my leave now. Thank you for everything," she bows her head once more and then walks away.

-o-O-o-

'So what should I do now?' Kanade asks that question to herself as she is walking to the train station.

Yes, she came here by train.

The place is a nearby town.

She came here with 50% hope of success but it turned out the odd was in her favor. She succeeded in regaining her past life's memories.

But now she does not know what she should do next.

'For now, I guess I will go to that place' Thinking so, she continues her walk to the train station.

-o-O-o-

"Hello, I come again, Yuzuru."

She says after she has arrived at the tombstone.

She knows this place thank to Igarashi-san. She is very grateful for it.

"I never knew you were such an amazing person back when we were still in Afterlife, saving people in the accident and all," Kanade pauses, shaking her head before continuing, "No, that's not right. Actually, I knew it. I knew how wonderful a person you are even back then. You care deeply about the people around you, even caring for me who was supposed to be your enemy…" Kanade pauses again to take a deep breath, "That's why I fell in love with you, Yuzuru," She confesses, "Even more so when I was certain you are the one who had given your heart to me."

People would find it weird if they found her confessing her love to the tombstone, but she doesn't care.

"I certainly know that your soul is no longer here since I knew you were in the afterlife, but I can't find any closer place to talk my heart out to you, so you will have to make do with it, Yuzuru."

"I really, really love you, Yuzuru," she repeats the words again, "But unfortunately I do not know where you are right now, nor know whether you are still in the Afterlife," she smiles sadly before saying the heart wrecking words, "I guess you would still be there, wouldn't you? I know how kind of a person you are, I know that you wouldn't leave those regret souls to fend for themselves."

"I want to see you again, Yuzuru, but I know very well that deepest wish of mine is unlikely to come true," After she finishes saying all that, she stares intently at the tombstone as if she wants to create a hole in it.

Five minutes passed in silent before she stops.

"…Well I guess that is all I have to say to you today, Yuzuru. I will definitely come again," After that she turns and leaves the graveyard.

She has nothing more to say after all, at least, for now.

-o-O-o-

As she is walking back from the graveyard to her house to take a rest, her mind wanders to the events that have taken place today. How she met with the psychic, how they decided to try hypnosis to regain her past life's memories, how her past life's memories came back, and finally how much she loves Yuzuru after her memories has come back.

It was not like she didn't love him before her memories has come back. But back then the love she felt for the boy who she only knew in her dream was superficial at best. That was because she didn't know why she was in love with him. She just knew that deep in her heart she loved him. So the impact is much more different now that she knows the real reason why she loves him.

Some people may argue that love does not need reason, but she would beg to differ.

Everything happens with a reason. Even love is the same. The reason why she loved Yuzuru even though she only saw him in her dream back then was because of embarrassment.

Yes, embarrassment, nothing else.

Even though back then she was still 12, she is still a girl. Seeing her and the boy she knew nothing about going through the marriage ceremony over and over made her felt embarrassed to no end. And as people probably know, strong emotions whether they are positive or negative ones are the reason love is developed.

As time passed, she couldn't forget the face of the boy who made her felt so embarrassed and then that feeling developed into love.

It is as simple as that.

But now that her memories have come back, that love because of embarrassment becomes something much more; far surpassing that superficial love.

Well, enough about that.

As her mind is wandering in those things, hey eyes catch a sight of the ring on her finger again. It makes her think about something.

'But if we were not fated to be together, why would I have those dreams about our marriage, and what's more, this ring?'

That is the question that she likely wouldn't be able to get an answer, but still, it intrigues her.

If things are as she thinks they are and Yuzuru is still stuck in the Afterlife, then she sees no reason for those dreams and this ring. Why would they appear?

'I guess maybe there is something more to it,' that is the conclusion Kanade reaches with her limited information about the situation.

But what is she supposed to do then?

She has no way to contact with Yuzuru in the Afterlife, or even on the off chance that he is no longer there, she still does not know where he is.

After thinking for a while, she reaches one answer.

"I guess it can't be help," she murmurs.

It seems like she has no choice but to make a contact with the psychic again, in hope the woman can help her on this spiritual matter. So she would meet with Ayato again…

Well, she sure hopes the psychic would be able to help her.

But for now, it is already late.

Making a promise to herself to come see the psychic tomorrow, she ceases all her thought and focuses on walking back home.

Done!

There are a few things I want to say here.

First, about this chapter, it may seem dull, but I decide it is necessary, so please bear with it.

Next time will be the beginning of the history of The Angel Player; I hope you look forward to it.

The next update may not be as fast since I have a lot to think about before writing the history of The Angel Player, but I hope you bear with me.

Lastly, I want to tell you that I definitely plan to finish this story, so do not be so anxious!

Please read and review!
