A/N: Whaaaaaat? Another update? I know, shocking. But listen, I work for our wonderful (not) government and I do not/can't go to work. So, I've been typing and reading my ass off. So, I bring you this. This has been mildly read over for errors so if you see any...shh. I love you if you're still reading and I don't know what to say at this point. So, enjoy!

When we pulled up to an apartment building and stopped, James stopped his bouncing. "We're here." He said, turning to me. I nodded, and he slowly turned to open the door. The second the door opened, he full on sprinted into the building.

"James!" I yelled as I got out of the car. I turned to the driver and he gestured for me to go after him. I ran up the few stairs and into the building. I had no idea where he went and I could hear him giggling before the sound of an elevator dinged. I ran in the direction of the sound and I saw James getting on the elevator.

"James!" I yelled and he gestured for me to hurry up. I made it to the elevator just in time to stop the door from completely closing. He rapidly pressed the button for the door to close and I just had to shake my head at him. He was ridiculously excited. I had never seen someone so excited to see another person in my life. As soon as the doors opened on the floor he pressed, I wrapped my arms around him to stop him from sprinting.

"James, stop."

"Kendall, let go." He whined.

"Only if you stop running."

"Okay, I'll stop." He said, holding out a hand to stop the elevator doors from closing.

"Promise?"

"Kendall, wh-"

"Do you promise?" I asked him again, holding him tighter.

"Yes." He said and I let him go. I rolled my eyes when he sprinted away right after.

"James!"

"Fingers were crossed!" He yelled as he ran down the hallway. I rolled my eyes as I stopped the elevator doors from closing and following him. He bounced in place in front of a door and I waited for him to knock and for some reason, he didn't until I reached him. He continued to knock and knock until we heard a woman speak.

"I heard you the first damn knock!" The woman sounded pissed and James only smirked as he continued to knock. We heard the clicks of the locks on the door before James moved me in front of him. I wasn't expecting him to do it, so I stumbled and the door opened. The woman eyed me up and down as she held the door closer to her. "Well, don't just stand there. What do you want?"

"I-"

"You what? Come on now, I'm making cinnamon rolls." She said and James gasped from behind me. I took that moment to step to the side and James screamed.

"GAMMY!" He said, raising his arms.

"JAMES! OH MY GOD!" The woman screamed with the door flying open before they both hugged each other tight. "Lord Heaven above has brought my Jamie to me! God, I've missed you so much!"

"I've missed you too, Gammy." James said as their hug ended.

"Not enough to call me." She said, swatting him on his chest before she pulled him in for another hug.

"And who are you?" She asked me as she looked over James' shoulder at me.

"Oh, Gammy, this is Kendall and Kendall, this is my Gammy." James said, breaking their hug and gesturing to me.

"Hello." I said, reaching out to shake her hand. She didn't shake my hand, instead, she pulled me in for a quick hug.

"It's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too." I said as she took a step back.

"Come on in. I know y'all probably dead tired." She said, gesturing for us to follow her. James turned and smiled at me as we walked in.

"So, Gammy, why are you making cinnamon rolls? Got a special man coming over?" James asked and she turned to look at him before rolling her eyes. He burst into laughter and she shook her head as she checked the oven.

"There ain't nobody that's worth it. These are for me." She said, closing the oven.

"You could have some too if you like." She said to me and I smiled.

"Thank you." "Gammy makes the best cinnamon rolls. Cinnabon needs to contact her for a better recipe." James told me and now I really wanted to try them.

"Thank you, baby. Now, let's go'n and sit down in the living room. My shows are still on." She said, kissing James on the cheek as she headed to the living room. The apartment was a nice size for someone to be here alone. There was no doubt that James had something to do with it. I was surprised to see a set of steps within the apartment, meaning there were multiple floors. Everything was decorated in a modern fashion and there were tons of electronics from an Amazon Alexa and a Google Home Hub, to a Roomba in the corner.

As we walked into the living room which was really a step over from the kitchen, I noticed that she had one of the biggest Tv's I had ever seen. Granted, I'm not accustomed to this lifestyle, so, this must be a decent size to them. There was a chair, a sofa, and a love seat in the living room and they all surrounded the big flat screen as it hung on the wall. We all sat down on separate parts of the furniture. James' grandmother took the middle of the couch and I took the love seat while James sat in the chair. Before the show came back from commercial, James was squished up next to his grandmother, hugging her. He took out his phone and took a selfie of the two of them. She had a smile on her face the entire time until her attention was taken away by the television. To see the pure joy on James' face was something that I could never get used to.

"Gammy, what is this show even about?" James asked her and she shook her head.

"It's a lot to explain. These shows have been on for ages. Longer than since you were born." She told him before there was a ding. James disconnected from her and she stood up, heading into the kitchen. It wasn't until now that I paid attention to the delectable cinnamon smell that went throughout the living room. James got up and followed his grandmother into the kitchen and I quickly stood and followed along. James leaned up against the island counter as his grandmother opened the oven on the other side.

I slid up behind James and placed my hands on his hips. There was a cut off squeak that came from him and I moved to the side of him. I glided my left hand across his ass and stayed settled on one cheek as I stood next to him. His grandmother put ingredients for icing in a pot and I was watching her, distracting myself as James stared at me. James stood up more when I didn't look over at him before I felt his hand cup me in the front of my sweats. It was my turn to hold in my gasp and James' grandmother raised an eyebrow at us before she turned back to the pot.

"Gammy, I can't wait to taste these again." James said, squeezing his hand that was perfectly placed on my dick. I inhaled and tried to play it off as much as I could. I feared that my face was giving it away though, especially when James' grandmother turned to me.

"Are you alright? You're turning red in the face."

"Oh, I'm, uh, I'm good. A little hot." I lied, and James snickered next to me as he moved his hand from my crouch to my thigh, giving a light squeeze. She eyed James before she moved the pot over to the cinnamon rolls. She poured the icing over the cinnamon rolls and the second she was done, she handed James the spoon, which he took happily.

When she turned away, James turned to me as he continued to lick the spoon. I shook my head at him as he swayed from side to side, licking the spoon while his grandmother filled the pot with water. I jumped back when James touched my lip with his icing covered finger. Before I could protest, his lips were on mine in what had to be the quickest kiss of a lifetime. I licked my lips as my face heated up. He continued to sway as if nothing happened while I tried to slow my quick heart rate. There was a knock on the door and James stopped mid-lick. My eyebrows raised in shock as he looked at me.

"I bet you I know who it is." James' grandmother said, walking to the door. She looked through the peep hole and turned away from the door, rolling her eyes. She pointed to the James and then to the door, James' eyebrow furrowed in confusion before he handed me the spoon. As he headed to the door, I noticed that there wasn't any icing left on the spoon. I handed the spoon back to James' grandmother and she tossed it into the sink before turning to watch James. He looked through the peephole and gasped before unlocking the door and snatching it open.

"FRIDA!" James yelled.

"JAMES!" A woman yelled, her voice louder than James and higher in pitch. The two of them hugged and swayed from side to side as the woman, Frida, grunted.

"I've missed you so dog on much, James-y. Oh, you've got a grip on ya." She said, stepping back from their hug. Her hair was teased higher than it probably should be and it looked stiff as a brick. She pinched James' cheek as he smiled at her. "Just as cute as ever!"

"What do you want Frida?" James' grandmother asked as she stood on the other side of the counter, her cinnamon rolls in between us.

"Well, I smelled them, of course." Frida said, coming into the kitchen. She was like a character out of a sitcom with the way she already knew where the plates were. She reached over onto the baking sheet and grabbed a cinnamon roll and it wasn't until then that I noticed her long nails. How I didn't manage to see them before hand was beyond me. She licked her fingers, smacking loudly as she hummed in delight. The cinnamon rolls had to be piping hot but she didn't seem to react to them.

"I swear she's only friends with me for my food." James' grandmother said to me.

"So, Jamie! How is it traveling the world and such? You meet any pretty girls? I mean besides your fans. I know that there are some pretty beautiful girls in, uh, what's that place…" Frida trailed off and James' grandmother shook her head before looking between James and me. James bit his lip and gave her a slight nod before she smacked Frida on her arm.

"Frida, don't be dumb." It seemed that it took Frida a few seconds to connect the dots before she nodded.

"I remember now. The whole secret. Does he know the secret?" She asked, pointing to me. James facepalmed and I chuckled as James' grandmother rolled her eyes.

"Yes. Kendall knows." James told her and she nodded, taking another bite.

"That's good. That's good." She said with her mouth full. I think that's what she said but she continued to nod.

"If he didn't, you sure would've spilled the beans." James' grandmother said.

"Oh, be quiet Dottie." Frida said, giving a wave with her hand.

"You can tell that he knows. He's comfortable and he's been by James' side since he went to Australia." I was shocked by Frida's knowledge and she gave me a knowing look before James laughed.

"Frida knows every little bit about me. I like to say that my Gammy is my first fan but Frida is my first super fan." James explained.

"I've known everything about this boy since he was in diapers rolling around on the floor." Frida said, going to squeeze James' cheeks but he dodged out of the way of her sticky hand. She gave a shrug and went back to eating.

"I knew he was going to be a big star when he sang in my car that one time." Frida said, this time after she swallowed her food. I couldn't help but smile thinking about baby James singing along to whatever song was on the radio.

"Yeah, Frida tried to get James to perform at the school talent show but he just cried about how scared he was until she pulled him out." James' grandmother said and James blushed as he looked down at the ground.

"But look at 'em now." Frida said, raising her arms up. I reached over to James and pinched his burning cheeks. He giggled and swatted my hand away before focusing on the cinnamon rolls.

"It must be exhausting traveling like that. I couldn't imagine waking up at those ungodly hours." Frida added and James' grandmother rolled her eyes.

"Frida, you think anything before 11am is ungodly."

"Ever since I retired, yes. Now, speaking of the club, we should go tonight, Dottie?"

"Wha- Frida, no one was talking about the club."

"Well, now we are. You wanna go?" Frida asked before popping the late piece of her cinnamon roll in her mouth. The woman ate it so fast that I didn't know that she was even close to finishing it. I looked at James just in time to see his jaw drop when his grandmother spoke again.

"I wish I could but it's date night."

"Date night?" Frida and James asked at the same time. James was in the middle of getting a cinnamon roll and almost dropped the entire thing on the counter. James' grandmother rolled her eyes at the two of them before she turned to me.

"My two guard dogs." She said, making me laugh. "We're not going to talk about me right now. James, how did you meet Kendall?" I was not expecting her to turn the questions to me so quickly. I didn't know what to say and James clearly didn't either.

"Yeah, he came out of nowhere. Fans been asking me for a minute now." Frida said and both Diamonds turned to Frida and she gave a slight chuckle. "Did I say that out loud?" She directed the question more so to me and I nodded slightly before she shrugged.

"We first met when Kendall was working at a club I went to."

"Oh, so you're a stripper?" Frida asked me, and I almost died laughing.

"No! He was a security guard!" James explained when his grandmother looked at him in shock.

"There's nothing wrong with being a stripper. He's got a nice little body for it." Frida added, and I couldn't breathe from how much laughing that I was doing. James groaned, and I didn't even have to look at him to know that he was turning red.

"No, he was not a stripper. He was a security guard. He was really nice and helped me with some issues I was dealing with. It obviously had something to do with the secret but we're going to skip over that."

"Oh, what club?"

"Uh, the Golden Aces in Minnesota." I answered Frida and she looked at me in confusion.

"So, you two met in Minnesota in a club? Was it a gay club?" Frida asked and James immediately shook his head.

"Nope. Regular club."

"Oh, well that's less interesting. When are you going to go out to a club with your people Jamie?" Frida asked him and James looked at her in shock before she looked at me for some type of assistance.

"Wouldn't that, you know, go against the secret being a secret." I spoke up and James nodded with me.

"Look, whatever. All I'm saying is the clubs are dark and flashing lights and totally incognito but then again you are related to this one." Frida said, gesturing to James' grandmother.

"What's that's supposed to mean?" James' grandmother said, turning to look at Frida.

"You never want to go out. I had to drag you out the house the last time and now you got a date tonight." Frida explained and James looked at me. The two women in front of us continued to argue while I just looked at James. He went back to looking at the two women with so much love before he turned back to me. When the look in his eyes didn't change, it made me smile despite quickening my heart. He pushed his cinnamon roll over to me after he saw that his grandmother was currently kicking Frida out. I broke off a piece and popped it into my mouth before Frida turned to us.

"Well, it was nice seeing you again James-y. If you're still in town tomorrow come by the house. The girls would love to see ya. It was nice meeting you Kendall!" Frida said as she stepped out into the hallway. Wait, how did she know my name? I guess James wasn't kidding about her being his super fan.

"Bye Frida." James' grandmother said, pushing her out the door.

"See ya, Dottie." When the door closed, James' grandmother shook her head.

"That girl. I love her but she can be too much."

"These are delicious." I told James' grandmother.

"Thank you. I can make some more for you two after my date."

"What is that about?" James asked her and she rolled her eyes.

"I have a date tonight with a new man in my life."

"What happened to Ted?"

"I outgrew him. That's all I'm going to say." She said, getting herself a cinnamon roll. She walked back into the living room and James plated another cinnamon roll before handing it to me. We joined her back in the living room for a few more episodes of her show before she got up.

"I'm going to the bathroom." James' grandmother said before she stood up. As soon as she was out of sight, James moved over to me and straddled my lap. I giggled at his enthusiasm and he connected our lips. The only thing I could taste was the cinnamon roll and that made the kiss taste even better.

"Mm, how long have you been waiting to do that?" I asked him.

"Far too long." He said, bringing our lips back together. My hands on his hips eventually drifted cupping his ass, giving it a squeeze when his tongue entered my mouth. He moaned as his hands moved from holding my face to around my neck. He broke our kiss and kissed under my ear. I knew where he was going and I had to speak before he made it there.

"So, where are we going?"

"Hmm?" He mumbled before he kissed my neck.

"Shit." I said when he started to suck there. I had to practically pry him away from me and he whined as I moved myself away from him.

"Wouldn't this be much more enjoyable in a hotel room?" I whispered to him.

"Later." He said before he gave me another kiss and jumped back to his original spot on the couch.

When the bathroom door opened, I grabbed the discarded plates from the coffee table and moved into the kitchen. I also took a moment to check and see how I looked. I fixed my hair a little before I saw that my neck was slightly red from where he was sucking.

"Kendall, can you get me a water bottle out of the fridge?" James asked and I reached into the fridge and saw that there was a small section of Fiji water bottles. I grabbed one and held it to my neck for a moment, hoping to lessen the redness before closing the door. I handed it to him and he smiled before opening it.

"So, how long have you two been together?" James' grandmother said and James started choking on his water and I was in shock before I moved to help James.

"I'm okay." He said, holding out a hand even though he continued to cough a little. "Gammy, what are you talking about?"

"You know you're the only person that I've met on James' team. You must be special to him." James' grandmother said to me.

"That is not true. You met Kelly." James said, looking at her.

"I met her and she was here for a grand total of five minutes."

"That still counts."

"No, this is something else. I know you want to sit with him. I could tell the second he sat down over there."

"Gammy."

"Don't Gammy me. I know I'm right. Look at how red he's turning." James' grandmother said and I bit my lip to stop my jaw from dropping. I could feel more heat coming to my face.

"It's because he's embarrassed." James said and she shook her head.

"Alright, James. No need to get defensive but I see the mark on his neck. It wasn't there earlier." She said before she turned her attention back to the television. I had to hide my face in my shirt to keep from laughing as James looked like a fish out of water.

"H-How did you know?" James asked, and I pulled my face from my shirt to see her looking at James.

"The way that you two look at each other was obvious enough. Don't forget, I do have the internet. I saw the way he jumped on stage and I saw those blurry pictures in Paris. I know my grandson when I see him. Very smart to get your hair cut but let me ask you this. Whose idea was that?" She said, looking from me to James.

"My mother." He mumbled, and she smacked her lips and turned away from him. "Gammy, please."

"I don't want to hear it, James. You know I love you but that woman and her ways." James looked at me for some sort of assistance and this time, I was stumped.

"Does she still have you dating that Crystal chick?"

"Camille, yes." James said, defeated. He continued to look down as his Grandmother shook her head, sitting back. James sniffled next to her and before I could do anything she wrapped her arms around him as he started to cry. She consoled him for a while until he gathered himself and pulled away from her. He stood up and I was about to follow him but he placed a hand on my shoulder as he passed me.

"Just let him gather himself. He'll be right back." James' grandmother said to me. I nodded despite wanting to follow him anyway.

"Do you know about all of this?" She asked me and I nodded again.

"It's how we met." I told her.

"Now that's more believable than what y'all said earlier."

"Yeah."

"So, I take it that he was going through something with her?"

"Camille? Yes. He had a bit of a break down and then he freaked out because he thought I was going to tell everyone or the press or whatever." I told her and she smiled.

"Well, I'm glad you didn't. Most people would've tried to extort him being in your position." She told me and I nodded before thinking.

"Oh, please. Like you didn't ask for concert tickets." James said, coming out of the bathroom smiling.

"What? I was kidding. Please don't listen to him." I pleaded with her.

"No, he's honestly been the absolute best." James said, sitting down again.

"Well, don't sit next to me. Go ahead." She said and James was next to me in a heartbeat. He lifted my arm and wrapped it around himself before leaning in to kiss my neck. He turned my head to him and connected our lips. The kiss only lasted a moment but it had so much meaning behind it. The fact that he was comfortable enough to do this in front of his grandmother showed so much growth and I wanted to continue the kiss. He laid his head on my chest and I couldn't stop smiling.

"See. Now we can act normal." James' grandmother said with a nod.

"I love her so much." James whispered to me and I nodded my head in agreeance.

"Kendall. Quick question." She said, and I nodded looking at her. "When Kelly was here, the first thing she asked was how James ended up with a black grandmother. Yet, you haven't even said a word." I shrugged in response to that before I thought of the more appropriate response.

"I didn't really care. Honestly, I noticed the second you opened the door, but it didn't bother me. I've just been wondering how no one else has found this out or said anything about it. He is a…what did he call it. A mega pop star." I said, and he blushed, hiding his face in my shirt.

"But other than that, I've been totally fine with it. Family comes from all over and it doesn't matter what they look like, as long as they treat you right." I finished, and she smiled so bright.

"I like him." She said, mostly to James.

"Me too." James said, hugging closer to me, making me smile.

A/N: I personally love this chapter because a friend of mine didn't know about James' grandmother and she asked me if she was black and I died laughing because I knew she was. Don't worry, it will be explained eventually. I also love the character of Frida because honest to god, I just love watching the Nanny and if you've seen that show, you know exactly who Frida is modeled after. Anyway, thank you so much for reading and I appreciate any kind words you would like to leave in a review. :D
