A/N: Sorry about no update last week. I was on vacation for the first half of the week and working on my new story Harry's Gift and high school graduation the second half of the week. I don't own DC or CW. With that out of the way let's get on to the story.
Oliver and Shado were getting out of the car heading to the auction with Sara following them. They were worried for China having to go out on her own, but knew she could handle herself just fine. They were met at the entrance by Robert who was waiting for them at the entrance. "Hello you two the auction starts in 30 minutes. Why don't you two follow me and I can introduce you to a few of our business partners." Robert said. Oliver and Shado were introduced by Robert to various business partners with Sara following them. As Robert led the three of them to another associate, Oliver got a call. Oliver dismissed himself to pick up the call with Sara following him for protection.
"What's up Naomi?" Oliver asked.
"We have a problem Oliver." Naomi started as Oliver tensed wondering if China was okay. "I've been informed of a contract being taken to kill your father. I've already informed China and she is on her way to scope the surrounding buildings. I've also notified the police on a possible assassin attacking the auction. Tell Sara and stay alert. I love you" Naomi said before hanging up.
Oliver turned to Sara and explained what was going on. The two walked back to Shado and Robert who stopped chatting once they saw them approaching. "May I have a moment with my fiance, father?" Oliver asked as Shado looked on concerned.
"Go right ahead. She is yours after all." Robert said. Oliver led Shado to a secluded area and explained the problem.
"Will China be ok?" Shado asked, concerned for China.
"Of course she will be. We are the best in the business, remember?" Oliver said while giving Shado a hug. The pair walked to their seats as the auction was starting. Moira and Oliver's sister were there as well to support Robert. Quentin had gotten the call of a possible assassination attempt and was looking around at everyone when he noticed a red dot appear on Roberts shoulder. He rushed to Robert and tackled him just as the glass on the building broke. Everyone started panicking and rushed to the exits. Sara dragged Moira and Thea behind her as Oliver and Shado quickly followed Sara trying to get to a safe spot. Meanwhile, Quentin had pulled Robert low and rushed out of the building as quickly as possible.
As the window to the building broke, China quickly located where the shot came from and rushed to kill the assassin. She hoped that Robert was okay, but focused on killing whoever the assassin was. She got to the floor and saw that the assassin was packing his stuff and sunk up quietly. She was surprised when the assassin sensed her when she was close to him and immediately lashed out with a side kick. China composed herself quickly and caught the kick while dropping the knife she was holding. China then turned his leg and threw her attacker on the ground. She brought out a knife hidden in her other arm and went stab the guy. He rolled out of the way and quickly got back onto his feet, drawing a pistol at the same time. China quickly threw her knife before he could bring the gun fully up. The knife hit true and China's enemy staggered a little. She took the opportunity to rush in and grab the gun while breaking his wrist and forcing him to let go. As her attacker grabbed his hand and screamed in pain, China shot him once in the heart and twice in the head. China dropped the gun and checked to see if the assassin was dead.
Once the area was cleared and the dead assassin found, Robert was reunited with the rest of the family.
They all gave him a hug including Shado who had grown attached to him in the short amount of time she had known him. "I'm so glad you are ok. I don't want to lose you again." Oliver said as he gave his hug.
"I'm probably more happy to see you safe. We just got you back and we don't want to lose you." Robert returned as Moira and Thea agreed with him. Oliver broke the hug and grabbed Shado's hand.
"The time you would lose me is when I marry Shado. Even then, we would still visit you often. I love you guys too much to leave you again." Oliver said.
"Speaking of said wedding, have you guys made any plans yet?" Thea asked.
"We were planning to have it during New Years. That's all we have planned so far." Shado answered as she tightened her grip on Oliver's hand.
"We can continue to plan later. For now, let's get back home and all of us can get a good night's rest." Moira said, interrupting Shado and Thea's conversation. They all nodded even if Shado and Oliver weren't tired.
China and Oliver were standing on top of a roof across from a seemingly normal building in Beijing. However, they knew that was where they would find Shado. The pair of them had found the hideout by kidnapping a known Bratva member that was at a club. China used this opportunity to show Oliver how to torture someone. Oliver wasn't too happy about it, but knew that it was sometimes necessary. After they had gotten the location from the Bratva member, they contacted Naomi to confirm that he was telling the truth. Naomi traced the building owner back to a Bratva member to confirm the truth. Fast forward to tonight and they were about to storm the building.
Oliver and China went around to the back of the building to enter quietly. Oliver took care of the two guards at the front door by firing two arrows back to back, killing them instantly. China went in first with Oliver watching her back. China surprised two guards that were patrolling the building and killed one with a knife as Oliver shot the other one. Naomi had hacked into the building's cameras and was directing them to where Shado was being held. She also notified them of Shado's poor condition and that they would have to carry her out.
Oliver and China eventually made it into the room where Shado was being held with a little trouble. They had come across a few guards that had alerted the others to their presence. Naomi had told them of a group of people rushing to the room and that they had to move fast. China and Oliver quickly freed Shado who was barely conscious. "I'm so sorry. They overwhelmed me. I couldn't stop them." Shado said hoarsely.
"We are going to get you out of here. Can you support yourself on one leg?" Oliver asked as he and China supported her while hurrying out the door.
"I think I can on my left foot. The other leg is broken." Shado said. She was struggling to stay conscious , but pushed herself to keep going. Oliver nodded to China as he let go and turned to watch their back. He could hear many footsteps approaching and notched an arrow on his bow. China stopped and saw Oliver standing there.
"What are you doing Oliver you can't fight all of them?" China said, concerned for her friend.
"We aren't going to make it before they get here, You get Shado out of here. Naomi has called for backup. They should be here by the time you make it out the door." Oliver was interrupted when the first person came around the corner. He quickly shot the arrow killing the guy. He urged China and Shado to hurry as he killed another. He didn't look back as engaged the group of ten remaining. He hit one guy with his bow knocking him to the ground. He then blocked a punch thrown by another and countered with a kick to the groin and followed by stabbing an arrow into the guys head as he keeled over. He was punched by another guy and stumbled back. He quickly recovered, blocking the next punch and countered by stabbing him with another arrow from the quiver. Oliver was then hit by a kick from the side and thrown into the wall. He dropped his bow and pulled out two knives. Oliver was thanking China for the training at that moment. He countered a guy that decided to throw a punch by stabbing his arm and following with a stab to his heart with the other knife. Oliver had five down and five to go. Everyone stopped when clapping was heard from behind Oliver. Oliver turned to see a bearded man who wore a t-shirt and jeans.
"Whoever you are, you are a very strong person. Taking out five of my men is no easy feat. My name is Anatoly Knyazev. You have stolen my prisoner, so I assume that you are Triad. Unfortunately, you will not be making it out of here." The person now named Anatoly said as his men backed away from Oliver.
Oliver and Shado walked into the foundry the next day followed by Sara. They both greeted China and Naomi with hugs as Oliver kissed them both. "What have you found out about the hit?" Oliver asked Naomi. He wanted to get back at the person that hired the assassin.
"I've been doing a little bit of asking around and found that the assassin was hired by the Bertenelli crime family. I was unable to find out who exactly hired him though." Naomi said as Oliver looked at Shado and China.
"I guess we have to move up the meeting with Helena. Are you guys ok if I take her to dinner for a meeting?" Oliver asked, wanting to get permission from his girlfriends.
"As long as you don't do anything. We still have to meet her to decide if she is good enough for you." China said after she, Shado, and Naomi talked quietly. Oliver smiled at the response and kissed all three of them.
"Enough about this, let's find who we are going to take on tonight." Oliver said as he sat down at Naomi's computer and began to search for the next target.
A/N: So it's been four days since I started this chapter. I had writers block for the first part of the chapter and that took me three days before I was satisfied enough. The rest of the chapter flowed pretty easily after that. I'm sorry this is out later than intended, but it happens.
