Naruto and Sasuke watched together as the Allied Nations cheered the end of the war and the revival of their fallen comrades. After a long-winded battle between the Akatsuki and the five nations, Nagato had ended the war by reviving every single casualty at the cost of his life.
Despite not liking the way it was achieved, Naruto could recognize that a big step has been taken towards true peace. If everything went well, the five nations would not have any more wars between each other in his lifespan.
"I'll admit it, Sasuke, your fake war did wonders. How about we come back to Konoha together?"
"You know they won't forgive me, Naruto. The light is for you to bask in. I'm staying in the shadows."
"Oh, come on, you don't have to make your presence public. How about you visit your friends once in a while"
Sasuke smiled for the first time in quite a while. "Alright then."
