Six: Hello everyone, six here. This story is not dead. I just wanted to tell you all that.

Three: The updates just take forever. You won't be reading this until the end of time. I think?

Six: First off, that's too long. Second, I can't live that long, none of us can.

Three: So... I see your point.

Six: Yeah... These updates will take one to two months. Never can be sure when they will get done, plus I got four other stories to work on as well.

Three: So please be patient while we work. If we go to fast, mistakes will be made. So please wait.

edboy4926: Thank you. Hope I meet your expectations.

Kinunatzs: A war... yes. That's happening right now. More battles will come later. Also, given enough time and effort, anything can be decrypted and analyzed. However, given that we're talking about supreme commander here, the time and effort would have to be really large, double for the Cybran. It would likely take years, possible a decade and large amounts of resources. It would just be easier to get it from the source. Unless you can't and you're desperate.

Ciupacapra: I looked and couldn't find any. I know what you mean though. I read one some time ago, but it's gone. No wait, there is no supreme commander/mass effect cross over other than mine. Looking forward to having you.

shattered heavens: Thanks. Please be aware that this takes time for me. 818carlos helped me work on the plot and fresh it out.

CelticReaper: Thanks. Full on war machine? Not for a while. When the others factions start coming into play yes, but that is sometime down the road. You will get a bit of that in this chapter though.

Ciupacapra: Don't worry, chapters will come every month or so. So a few times a years. Can't say when though.

Martenzo: I will need to look for those typos some time. And yes, it is the cybran.

Special thanks to 818carlos for helping me with this story. He pointed out several things that I didn't know about supreme commander. Through him, I learned many things, and stuff about the game.

A few things to know: One, the tier system. It is a little odd. First off, who would use the lower tiers when you have the higher tiers with are better. So after thinking it over and asking 818carlos what he thought about it, I decided on what I am going to do. Old bases, places one doesn't want to expend a lot of resources, or places that the chances someone will attack are next to zero, will have lower tier units and structures. And places that expect combat or ACUs will use the highest tier units and structures. This would be best I think. If anyone needs me to clear this up more, pm me and we'll talk.

Second, how each tier compares to mass effect. Tier one is basically the same strength as mass effect. Tier one tanks, fighters, bombers, and everything else is comparable to their mass effect counterpart. Tier two is around two to three times stronger than tier one and tier three is two to three times stronger than tier two. Experimentals are several times more powerful than tier three, that makes experimentals basically gods.

Third, how fast everything is made. I will make this clear right now, it is fast. Basic units from supreme commander will be made in like 30 seconds, with experimental's time being basically the same as in game.

Fourth, what am I using? Everything. Form supreme commander 1, 2, forged alliance, dlc content, everything. I am using the content from them all, so expect stuff from everywhere. Also, expect my own stuff sometime (long time) down the line.

Also, I found two mistakes I made last chapter. One was how the system was explained to look like. This is what I put 'one garden world, a small gas giant, a small asteroid belt, a barren world, and red dwarf from outside to inside'. That would make the system quite small to put the garden world into the hospitable zone. So, I changed the places of the garden world and the gas giant. Just so it made better sense.

Palaven - Underground bunker

The meeting of the primarchs happened every standard week to discuss matters of the highest level, such as where the Hierarchy's resources should go. However, this wasn't like those other times. This time an emergency meeting was called. Emergency meetings were rare and only called in, well, an emergency. If one was called without a valuable reason, the individual in question would lose their position immediately.

This meeting in particular was called by Fedorian, Primarch of the Apien Crest.

Because he was Primarch of the Apien Crest, it more or less made him the 'Head' Primarch. While all primarchs were equal, the Primarch of the Apien Crest was the one in charge of the home system, and therefore, the unofficial leader of the turian people, as tradition dictated. Because it is such an important position, it is much harder to reach then the other primarch positions.

As there was 7 clusters of space settled by the turians, there were 7 primarchs.

The meeting that Fedorian called was about the new species that was just found. The situation around them was not an easy one, but not difficult ether. As normal, each primarch appeared on their holo projectors. Each one having several security measures to ensure no one was listening in.

Fedorian nodded to each primarch as they appeared and they nodded back. After a few minutes, each one had arrived.

"Thank you all for coming on such short notice." Started Fedorian.

"This better be good Fedorian. I had to skip seeing me son go off to boot camp for this." Stated Primarch Gasius with an edge to his voice.

"He's right. We all have other matters to attain to." Said Primarch Sidoia. She was upset over the matter mostly because of where she lives it isn't even dawn yet. She was glad she didn't wake her husband when she got up.

All six of the primarchs stared at Fedorian and nodded. What he said next, both shocked and surprised them. "First contact." All of their eyes widen and a few months even dropped at hearing it.

The fastest to recover was Primarch Hostus. He is an individual who is unhappy with the way the turian people are and wants them to be so much more. He believes the other races, mainly the asari, are holding the turians back from what they can really do and seeks to change it. He wants the turians to reach their full potential. Some think this makes him a turian supremacist, but their wrong, somewhat. He is a man that deeply cares for his people, some say too much. He just wants to protect his people.

He couldn't care less if the others races lived or died, so long as the turian people reached their full potential. He would sacrifice them if needed, but not just for fun or anything.

"We have a first contact situation." He looks around for a moment. Seeing their surprised expressions. "Come now, it's not that surprising. Even if it has been a few centuries." The last part was said softly. The five primarchs all looked a bit sleepiest at that, one even rubbing the back of their head a bit. "However, first contact by itself does not warrant an emergency meeting. There must be something else." The last part of stated as more of a question, than fact.

Fedorian nodded at this, expecting the question. "Your right. It is the nature of the first contact that is the problem. It wasn't us that found them, but pirates."

This caught their attention. Meeting pirates first can easily lead to problems later on, and that means actions need to be taken to more easily integrate them into the galactic community. No doubt a few pirate bases would need to be attacked, and a likely increase in patrols in that area for some time. It didn't mean that it was a bad thing, most turians would love to destroy some pirates, just that the asari would no doubt complain about possibly upsetting the terminus system. They love their status quo.

Three of them nodded at this while the other three just stared ahead, thinking it over.

Gasius stated "Why don't you explain this situation in more detail so we can better examine everything." First contacts, no matter what, always have ripple effects throughout citadel space.

Fedorian nodded at this and explained everything he knew. He spoke of how unknown ships were sighted in the Reps system and that the nearest patrol fleet, after getting some reinforcements from a nearby base, were sent to investigate. After confirming that the ships were pirates, attacked and eliminated them. The fleet had taken some mild loses and several ships needed repairs. However, the two transports with the pirate fleet were the most important. After disabling them, they were boarded and only one race was found, the new race. At this point, several pictures of the race in question were pulled up for them all to look at.

"Kind of looks like the asari and the quarians. Expect with hair and they don't wear suits." Said Primarch Tinus lightly. Others nodded at this.

"Any other information you can provide on this new species at this time Fedorian, or are you still waiting on an update from the fleet." Asked Primarch Cicevea. Her tone spoke as if she really didn't care about what was happening right now. She most likely didn't.

Before Fedorian could reply that there was no more, Primarch Turius interrupted with a slight amount of excitement in his tone "And what of all the cybernetics I keep seeing on all of them?"

Fedorian was angry at him for interrupting, but didn't let it affect him... until he remembered what was said 'all of them'. "Wait, what? What do you mean they all have cybernetics?" He was confused. They didn't all have cybernetics, did they? He looked at the images closer to make sure.

"Surely you didn't miss that?" A pause. "No wait, I guess you could miss that. Here, I'll highlight it for you." He began typing rapidly on his end. It took a minute before a new set of photos appeared, each one having select portions of the colors changed to black and white. "Check those areas and you should see it."

They all began comparing the first set of photos and the second set. After a short while, they all began seeing it. "Your right Turius. They do have them. But the question is, why?" Said Gasius with slight surprise.

Fedorian regained his composer and relied "No idea, we'll have to ask them. However, we'll worry about that later. For now, we need to update the fleet with new orders on how they should proceed." They nodded.

"Does the fleet have the necessary ground personal to attack the pirates and liberate the species?"

Another image was pulled up, this one of a small city. "This is an image of the city the pirates are holding up in. Given its size, the pirate fleet size, and that pirates carry more ground personal than normal... no. When I sent reinforcements, I didn't think there would be a base of any kind or the need for land forces. Other than what they got for security and anti-boarding/boarding, they got nothing. It won't be enough for any land battle." Fedorian was berating himself for making such a simple mistake in his head. 'Even if there was next to no chance of a land battle, I should have sent some just in case.'

"So, what your saying is, we can't liberate the species, and, we have to leave them at the mercy of those pirates until we can get forces there?" Said Sidoia irritated. She always did have a bad temper.

"Calm down Sidoia. He had no reason to believe such forces would be needed. No one could." Tinus shot back. Sympathetic to Fedorian.

"He still should have sent some." Replied Maxius. Speaking for the first time this meeting. "If for no other reason than to attack the base the pirates came from. Remember, it was believed that they were going to attack the patrol fleet first. Not attacking and enslaving an unknown race."

Gasius nearly screamed "Why are we fighting over what could have been done? We need to figure out what to do now." They were acting like idiots, or children.

Hostus spoke up "I can take care of that." They looked at him. Silently asking for him to continue and explain. "I can gather more than enough troops to attack the pirates and liberate the species from the local military base in my cluster. I'm only about two days or so out. Plus, I can head over myself for diplomacy. I'm not that far."

"Surely we can just send someone else? What if they try to kill you during the peace talks?"

"It'll be a risk I'm willing to take." He was smiling as he said it. No doubt getting excited from it. He face changed back to normal. "I'll contact Fedorian when the talks are over, so..." Running some numbers in his head real quick. "a week or so." They nodded, not like they could do anything, plus, taking too much time to send reinforcements could lead to the new species dying. "If nothing else, I'll be on my way."

"What are we to tell the council and our allies?"

"Tell them the truth. We found pirates and are taking care of them. Nothing else. If all goes well, and no inference from the council, we'll have a new race entering the galactic scene with us being the closest to them." Spoke Cicevea. She also was looking into ways to make the hierarchy stronger.

Fedorian was unsure "Wouldn't it be better to tell them sooner?"

Hostus countered "It is our duty to make sure council space is save. If that means waiting to introduce a new species, then so be it. Plus, you know how the others work. The asari would try a mind meld, and that could have any number of possible outcomes, many violent. The salarians work hack into their network. Same possible outcomes. It's better that they not know until later."

Before Fedorian could think of a counter, "I agree." Said Gasius. Looking around, he could see everyone but him thought it was better this way.

"Alright than, I'll inform Potiius of the new development and send Quentius the cover story. One question. What if the salarians come looking around to make sure we're telling the truth, or the batarians come forth about the new species?" No one was going argue about if the pirates work for the hegemony or not, because they most likely did. If not, it was likely that word was sent about the new race anyway, or not. It was impossible to tell.

Hostus stared at Fedorian for several seconds, before pointing at him and saying "Your problem not mine." Before clicking a button and cutting the contention.

Fedorian close his eyes and face palmed. He heard snickering a moment later, but didn't know who it was.

888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888

Potiius has been sitting in the communication for some time, waiting for command to contact him with new orders. It was a tiring wait, but a needed one. Command needed time to go over the information and make an informed decision. Uninformed decisions can lead to bad outcomes.

From time to time he would get an update. Some about the humans (found out through charades), the wellbeing of the freed slaves, and a few scouting reports about the area surrounding the captured city. They were taking their time with the scouting. As they had time, they would use it to take images of the city and of the forces inside. Doing this, they would get the layout of it and possible patrol routes and an idea of the size of the forces, plus what they have. It is standard practice to scout out enemies encampments to plan out proper attacks whenever possible.

Just then the communication officer spoke "Captain Potiius, we are receiving a call from command. Do you wish to take it?"

He perked up when he heard this "Yes, main channel." He looked to the main screen to see Primarch Fedorian appear. His eyes widen in shock "Primarch Fedorian?!" He was confused. He thought he would be talking to some a little lower on the command line, not a Primarch. He was frozen for a second before he remembered who he was talking to and saluted immediately. "Primarch Fedorian sir!"

Fedorian saluted in return "At ease captain. I would like an update on the situation?" He lowered his arm with Potiius following right after.

"The situation hasn't changed. Well, other than the outpost they had." The second part was said off handily.

"What outpost?" This had Fedorian intrigued. Pirates never made bases or outpost on captured worlds, they only took them. The only way one could exist on that world would mean...

"About 1 mile out to the west of the city, is a small outpost. There is a large black circular mark on the ground, likely a large bomb went off or something. The pirates abandoned it shortly after the space battle. No doubt destroying anything they couldn't take before that. It looks like a battle took place there, but nothing else of note." Potiius was slightly confused about why he was asking about the outpost. Pirates destroy anything of value for outposts and bases to prevent any data from being gathered from them. He couldn't think of anything that could be of value anymore. Sure, the battle that took place there would mean... a military... base... "Oh, now I understand."

"Right. That wasn't a pirate outpost, that was the new species military..." "Humans sir." "... base. ... Wait, what? Humans."

"Yes sir. The name of the new species is human. It is the only word we have been able to translate so far, but it is clear that human is the name of their race."

Fedorian blinked. He didn't expect them to get anything yet, cooperation maybe, but not translation. It usually takes days before translate starts, unless the asari are involved. "How?" Was the only respond that he could give. He eyes had a faraway look in them, as if his entire world was just turned upside down.

"A lieutenant by the name of Arius has a major in xenology and he is very passionate about his work. He almost demanded to be leading the work to translate their language and keep them comfortable. He said so himself that he won't stop until he's learned all about their culture." His tone carried a small amount of pride in it. "If the progress keeps going at its current rate, we'll be able to ask one of the humans to mind meld with one of the asari in a few days."

...

"Right. I was going to ask if there was an asari who would could mind meld with one of them." His head was in shambles with all that is going on. Nothing was going like he thought it would. He was also giving his head a small rub to ease the pain a bit. Sense his body was covered in plates, it didn't help much. "Any way." He shakes his head to clear his thoughts. "Back to what we were taking about. That was a human military base. Send a recon force to check it out, whatever is there will give us some insight into the humans. You can wait until the translation is done so the humans will be able to help, or now. Either way, exercise caution, pirates often lay traps in places like these." He nodded is responds.

"Thank you for your words of advice. But, may I ask if we'll be receiving reinforcements for dealing with the pirates?" He really needed that help, otherwise he'll likely lose everyone trying to take the city. Not something he wanted.

Fedorian nodded. He understood what Potiius was feeling, no one wanted to risk their crew in such a battle. "Your reinforcements will be arriving in around... in actually a few days. Huh." He scratched the side of his head. "Heck, if everything goes the right way, you'll have a translator and the reinforcements in similar time frames. Either way, let me tell you what your reinforcements are." His eyes took a sharper look. "Primarch Hostus" Potiius stood a little straighter at hearing his name "is coming in about two, maybe three days with enough ground forces to take the city."

"Primarch Hostus is coming here himself?!" He was shocked beyond reasoning. Primarchs hardly ever leave their cluster. Certainly first contacts were important, but at best he thought he would get a high level diplomat or someone high up in command, not a primarch. Shouldn't they have more important things to take care of?

"Yes... Is that a problem captain Potiius?" Staring down Potiius, like he was insufficient.

Potiius shook his head quickly and said "No. No problem at all, just surprising is all." Straightening himself out.

Fedorian's face changed right back to normal as if it was never there. "Good. I will need to update Hostus on the changes. I will leave everything up to you now, gather as much data as possible for when he arrives." He cut the link moments later.

Signing deeply from what is coming, Potiius thinks deeply over what needs to be done. 'I need to send troops to check out that base, get some way to reliably speak with the humans, and gather Intel on the pirates and their activities. Not exactly hard, but not easy either. 'Sign'. Going to need to think over how this all needs to be done.' ... 'I will also need to send out the proper orders soon too.'

He nodded his head before turning around and leaving the communication room. He had work that needed to be done.

Thank you all for reading this chapter. This, was hard. I have read about and watched supreme commander online to better understand the game. Still am. It is not the easiest game to work with, but doable.

No codex this time.

Please tell me if I do something wrong and I will try my best to correct any problems.

Next time, the battle for the world begins, and more is learned about the new race that no one could foresee.
