As Harry led Hermione out of the toilet, he and Manny thought over how they had treated Hermione over the last two months, and having come to a shocking realization, he decided to upgrade Hermione's and their shields to lock all types of mind altering potions and mind manipulation charms from both of their bodies. Having done so, both felt nauseated, and proceeded to vomit on the floor.

Once Hermione recovered, she wondered why she felt angry, only to see Harry's face. That scarred her and she hoped that she hadn't angered him.

Manny and Harry, on the other hand, were discussing ways for Ron's death to be untraceable, without acting on the desire to strangle the redheaded arse then and there. Having regained his self control, he growled "Good thing I decided to lock out all mind manipulation methods, else Ron would've got off lightly. Let's go, Her- HERMIONE!? WHAT HAPPENED!?"

She growled "I suddenly vomited alongside you, and I don't know why. What about you?"

Hearing that, Harry paled and changed to Hanny, who was livid. "That tears it! Hermione, that was your body flushing out all the mind manipulation potions within you. That git decided he was being great, potioning us... He was set as an exception. Now, he will regret ever attempting to potion you or me." was a snarl from him.

"Harry, slipping potions to people isn't a crime- you can't expect anyone to-" "Mind Manipulation potions are an exception, regardless of identity. He's paying for this, and that isn't changing. He isn't on the permanent skill sharing list I have you on, so that works out well too."

Meanwhile, Ronald Bilius Weasley had a few shivers flowing up his spine, as he was hurrying back to the common room, having heeded the warning that Quirrelmort had given and the order of Dumbledore. He dismissed it by thinking of having Harry protect him, and the shivers disappeared. Little did he know...

Draco was shocked at how callously Ron was behaving, and decided he was breaking off from Ron as well.

Hanny led Hermione to an unused classroom, which he had warded to let no one in. The key was the Absolute Aegis, which meant that Hermione was also allowed in. There, he proceeded to explain just how serious the situation was, and how much trouble one Ronald Weasley had created. When Hermione learnt that administering any will altering potion to a witch or wizard led to a 2 year stay in Azkaban, the wizarding hell of a prison on Earth, she knew that Ron had crossed lines that should never be crossed.

Transcription of the conversation and the resulting outburst:-

Hermione (knowing what Ron had done): Harry, don't you dare tell me not to stop you from attacking Ron, you might end up in Azkaban! I won't lose you to that hellhole, not when I got you back!

Hanny (determinedly): Yes, well, he's going to Azkaban regardless- the sentence for his offence against you is 2 years in there. Against me- he's lucky to be alive- a life sentence. Assault only gives a one month stay when it occurs in retaliation, and I'm within my rights to attack that git given the circumstances. So are you, by the way.

One explanation of the facts later

Hermione (aghast and incensed at the facts): WHY THAT ARROGANT GIT! HE THOUGHT HE COULD GET AWAY WITH IT, DIDN'T HE!? JUST WAIT TILL I GET MY HANDS ON HIM, I'LL MAKE SURE HE *whimpers*

Harry (hugging her to calm her down and reassure her): HE'S going away and getting expelled. For now, calm down, we're going to talk to Albus now.

Heading to the Headmaster's office, Hermione was still fuming, but was calm because she was holding Hanny's hand, and enjoying- 'Wait, why am I enjoying it?' she thought.

Once inside (Hanny said "the password is Jalebis"), Hanny switched to Manny, who screamed at Albus for letting the troll in and mentioned that he was claiming it per law.

Albus, shocked beyond measure, asked "My dear boy, even phoenix magic wouldn't have helped you against that troll. How did you kill it?"

Manny's answer shocked him even further- "Conjured a Diamond knife and stabbed Trolley's head. Anyway, get Madam Bones to investigate the wards tomorrow, I know you were seriously unaware of the breach. I need her in here anyway, Ronald Weasley is going to Azkaban for life and I'm going to enjoy it."

"Manny, whatever Ronald has done, we could surely keep Azkaban out of it, yes? He is but a boy"

"Potioning us isn't a normal crime, and he isn't getting away with it. I appreciate you having arranged for a friend for me, seeing as you knew that ignorance is a crime, but they took it too far!"

Albus paled. "Is this true? How do you know, and why didn't you act on it earlier? What were you thinking, Molly? I told you that a friendship is filled with love, not potions. When will you learn?"

"I just realized it now, which is why you're just getting to know this now as well. Get Madam Bones here tomorrow morning. She can tell us what potions were used when she scans us, and we can get the neutralizers of the same."

"Very well, Harry, I'll do it now."

One FlooCall later, an irate Amelia Bones came through the Fireplace ("How does it work?"), and proceeeded to scan both children. When she discovered who was potioned, she lost it completely and almost throttled Albus for not realizing it earlier, only calmed by the fact that he didn't know till the Boy Who Lived told him about it.

A transcription of the events leading to a Veritaserum Questioning:-

Ron (confused as to why McGonagall sent him to the Headmaster's office): May I come in?

Albus (barely containing the disappointment in his voice): You may, Mr. Weasley.

Ron comes in, and pales, seeing the glare of Madam Bones, and Hermione, while almost having an accident in his pants at the sight of Harry's face.

Ron (fearfully): What's going on?

Albus (sadly): I'm sorry to say, , that you are going to undergo a Veritaserum Questioning. As Headmaster, I act in loco parentis, while your parents are in absentia, here at Hogwarts, even for Bones, if you will please?

During the questioning, after the effect has been confirmed-

Q: Did you administer a love potion keyed to Ginerva Molly Weasley and a loyalty potion keyed to yourself to Harry James Potter?

A:Yes.

Q: Did you administer the same two potions, , both keyed to yourself this time, to Hermione Jean Granger?

A:Yes.

Q:Would the love potions have taken effect on either at this point in time?

A:No, it would've been triggered by the hormones in their bodies when they became 13 years old.

Q:Who supplied you with the potions?

A:My mother. She wanted the Potter fortune and would've potioned the Headmaster, who is Harry's magical guardian into signing a betrothal contract between both pairs.

Q:Were you a willing accomplice?

A:Yes. I wanted the wealth.

Q:Who else knew?

A:My mother was the only one to ever know of this, maybe Percy did too. She even potioned Ginny to love Harry.

Harry: And there goes a plan- Why did she plan so far?

A:Harry's parent's refused to accept a betrothal contract when Ginny was born, and wanted to laugh over their graves as their only son ensnared by her daughter.

Hermione: And why was I potioned?

A:You were in the way, and were sort of a reward for me.

Hearing this, Madam Bones was not very pleased. She immediately went to arrest Ron, but Harry stopped her

"Mr. Potter, would you please let me do my job!?" she demanded exasperatedly. "I'm sure there is a good reason for you to forgive him, but the law-"

"The law can wait till I catch both of them red handed, Madam- May I call you Amelia?- and we can discuss this calmly with Ron's father. In the meantime, may I trust you to keep a transcript of the Veritaserum questioning under wraps? It isn't my intention to destroy the Weasleys, thank you very much. However, they don't need to bear the brunt of these two, maybe three traitors' actions.

"Maybe we can inform one of the oldest who can take action immediately. Mr. Weasley is unlikely to take action as from what I've surmised, he is cowed, maybe potioned by his wife, and the two oldest brothers probably ran away from her. Percy is under suspicion and so the Twins are the only ones who can help. I'll find an way to inform them."

Amelia just watched on, stunned as she saw an eleven year old wizard take charge to save a family from two of their traitorous members and keep their reputation. as the last line was spoken, she just had to ask, "Mr. Potter, why save the remaining Weasleys? It isn't common to show an enemy's family any mercy by our customs. Yet, you squarely placed the blame on the two, maybe three members of the family, while the rest of the family is protected? And yes, you may call me Amelia."

Harry just replied "Because I don't follow any tradition that is plain wrong... Imagine if someone threatened your loved ones, Amelia. Would you kill everyone in the immediate area of the perpetrator, or just focus on said perpetrator and those who helped of turned a blind eye to his or her actions? I'm not the type to kill innocents, but I won't hesitate to take out my enemies without mercy. Call me Harry, by the way."

"Very mature of you, but how do you plan to keep Madam Weasley out of the loop?"

Harry just pointed his wand at Ron the Traitor and said "Obliviate, Confundo . You had a fruitful discussion with Professor Dumbledore about your life and the errors in your attitude have been clearly demonstrated to you. You ponder your actions and leave the room now."

Ron just said "Yes", then he left, pondering his actions and thinking of the pros and cons of his betrayal. Amelia was not happy, but she saw the wisdom in his actions. She was confused though.

" Just an Obliviation would suffice to alter memories. Why the Confundus Charm as well? Also, how do you know both of those charms?"

"Obliviations just make the mind more receptive to memory changes. Confunding the Target confuses the memory of said event and thus allows the replacement memory to be to the caster's wish. How I know them is a secret I'm not comfortable with sharing just yet. However, rest assured I won't succumb to those potions again. I just want him to have a second chance at redemption, which a certain family won't be getting."

"Very well then, I have work to attend to. I assume you would be willing to talk to me about this in the future, then?"

"Yes, Amelia, I am amenable to such talks. I'll see you around then."

After she left, Albus was confused. "The chance you're giving him, why did you decide to use an obliviation anyway?"

"Almost everyone deserves a second chance. I'll take his rat though. I have plans for it. Oh, and do tell Minerva not to worry too much about me."

And with that, Harry led Hermione out of the Headmaster's Office and went to enjoy a sumptuous Halloween feast.
