Shao Kahn summoned Mileena to the throne room alone. She hated that her father had sent Scorpion away once again.

When she arrived, Shao Kahn was already in the middle of interrogating Jade. Shang Tsung and Reptile were also thereby the throne.

"My lord, I swear to you, Kitana had sent for me to retrieve her meal because she claimed she was feeling very ill. When I arrived back in her room, she was gone."

Shao Kahn narrowed his eyes and said, "Reptile has informed me that she never left through the balcony."

Jade shrugged and shook her head, "Then she must have gone through the armory."

Mileena felt her heart racing, but she didn't show it. "That's not possible!" She blurted out without even thinking.

Jade turned and faced her. "Why is that not possible?"

Mileena felt all eyes on her and her heart racing faster. "I was at the armory last night." She managed to say in a strangely calm voice.

Then her father asked, "What were you doing in the armory?"

"I was sparring with my fellow Tarkatans."

Mileena felt she didn't need to lie about that, except the part where she distracted them to help Kitana escape.

"Just ask Baraka. He was there too!"

Shao Kahn appeared to want to question her more, but he stopped when Shang Tsung began whispering something to him.

He nodded his head and turned his attention to Jade.

"Kitana's escape has shown that you have failed your duties."

"Yes, my lord," Jade responded and bowed her head. "But, I promise I will find her and…."

"No, you won't!" Shao Kahn shouted sternly. "Guards!"

Two guards approach from the entrance of the throne room.

"Take her away and lock her up!" He ordered.

The two guards each take Jade by the arms and lead her out of the throne room.

Mileena was a little taken aback and half expected Jade to try to escape, but she made no move to resist. Jade locked eyes with Mileena and gave her a menacing glare. Mileena could almost feel her eyes piercing through her as if all of this was her fault.

Mileena couldn't help but return the glare and turned away from her. The moment she did that, she noticed her father's gaze on her as well as the bastard sorcerer and Reptile.

Great! They were going to interrogate her next. Or at least that's what she thought.

"Mileena," her father said in an almost cheerful tone, "I'm glad to hear that you are sparring again. Are you feeling better?"

No, father! I'm pregnant!

"A little better."

"Good! Then you can demonstrate what Scorpion has taught you."

What? No! I don't want to!

"Um, well, I'm still learning…."

"You will spar with Reptile!"

Fine!

"Okay."

Reptile moved from her father's side and stood facing Mileena.

"If you can defeat Reptile, then you are capable of defending yourself without any protection. If you are defeated, then he will become your personal guard until Scorpion returns."

Mileena felt a little confident knowing that she was able to best both Reptile and Ermac in a single match. This match should be much easier without Ermac.

"Fight!"

Reptile dashed forward and aimed a sweep kick to her shins. Mileena evaded him and quickly countered with a swift kick to his chest. He quickly got to his feet and charged at her. She blocked his fist and threw a kick towards his face. He quickly evaded by dashing backward. He continued to attack while she avoided him. She soon realized he was moving much faster than when she first sparred with him. Every attack she blocked, she tried to counterattack with her own. He easily evaded her attacks. His attacks were almost super fast and very strong. She was able to block his attacks but soon began to feel herself getting worn out without knowing why. She had plenty of energy in the first match.

Frustrated, she dashed away from him and to catch her breath. Reptile began pacing around her. Mileena mimicked his pace and kept him in her sights. They walked for a few more moments until Reptile suddenly rushed forward. Mileena, anticipating an attack, also rushed forward to attack him first.

However, the moment he came close enough, he suddenly vanished.

Oh, fuck!

Mileena felt his kick connect with her side and immediately followed by his fist connecting to the side of her face. She fell to the ground. Quickly, she rolled backward and got to her feet. She still couldn't see him and heard his footsteps approaching fast.

Shit!

Without thinking, she held her arms up to shield herself and managed to block his fists. She quickly threw a roundhouse kick in front of her and felt his hands grab her leg.

Fuck!

Before she knew it, she was flipped over and slammed on her back to the ground. The air instantly knocked out of her. She lay there for a few more seconds before attempting to get back up. She turned to her side and felt a swift kick to her abdomen, causing her to cry out in pain. She immediately curled into a fetal position to protect her stomach.

Reptile reappeared with a confused look as if expecting her to hop back to her feet and attack.

Mileena made no move to get up.

He glanced at the emperor, who seemed equally confused.

"What are you doing? Fight!" He shouted at her.

Mileena shook her head and remained in a fetal position.

Shao Kahn let out an annoyed sigh. With a wave of his hand, Reptile backed off.

"Get up!" He demanded her.

Mileena slowly stood up.

"Perhaps more serum will help." Shang Tsung said to the emperor.

"Very well!" He said and turned to Mileena. "You are dismissed!"

Mileena hurried out of the throne room without looking back. Reptile followed close behind.

Shao Kahn then turned to Shang Tsung. "Why is the healing serum taking so long? You said she would be in perfect shape by now."

"I'm not sure, my lord. She has been very reclusive lately."

Shao Kahn seemed to be mulling over a sudden thought that crossed his mind. "Do you think Baraka has something to do with this?"

"What do you mean, my lord?"

"It's no coincidence that Baraka was here protesting against Scorpion as my daughter's personal guard. You don't think that he might be secretly consorting with her."

"It's uncertain, but perhaps Reptile will reveal more."

Mileena walked up the stairs and to the hallway towards her room. She cradled her stomach and rubbed the spot where the kick connected. Any lower, and he would have injured or possibly killed her son.

Usually, she would have taken the hit and still been able to fight, but she now feared for her child's life.

She went into her room and sat on the bed while rubbing her stomach. She stopped when she noticed Reptile closing the door behind him.

Really?

"Do you have to be in my room?"

"Why not? You allowed Scorpion in your room."

"So what! You're not Scorpion. Get out!"

"You don't have a choice, princess!"

Fuck you!

"Okay, fine!"

She turned and lay down, facing away from Reptile. She had hoped he would get bored with her and leave her room, but she could hear him approach closer to her bedside.

What a creep!

She kept her eyes closed and asked, "What do you want?"

"I know why you let Scorpion into your room."

She sat up and faced him. "What do you think is going on?"

"I know you fuck him!"

Mileena merely chuckled at him. "What are you going to do? Tell my father."

"No. He already suspects you, but he thinks you are consorting with Baraka."

Mileena let out a deceptive laugh. "Of course, he does."

"I know why you held back."

Mileena grew silent.

"You're carrying his child."

She sighed, "Now, you're going to tell my father."

"No."

"Why not? You could have told him about Scorpion."

"Your father is already angry with me about Kitana's escape."

"So what! Jade is the one he punished. Not you."

"I will not be the next target of your father's wrath."

"Hmm, makes sense."

Mileena lay back down. "Now, if you don't mind. I'm going to close my eyes for a while."

She heard him give her a noncommittal grunt and left her room.

Mileena was only able to get a little shuteye before Shang Tsung arrived with more healing serum.

This time he made her take it in front of him while he watched. She gulped down the blue liquid and handed him the empty container.

He took it and kept his gaze on her. "How are you feeling?"

"Tired."

"And how have you been feeling the past few days?"

"I've been fine. I'm getting better." She tried to reassure him, but he didn't seem convinced.

However, he didn't question her further and simply nodded his head and left her room.

Mileena already knew he suspected her, but she wondered why he wasn't saying anything.

The next day, Mileena was not in a good mood.

First of all, Shang Tsung had brought her back to the Flesh Pits and examined her once more without finding anything wrong, except the fact that she was pregnant, and he could not detect it. Thanks to Zareta's spell.

He let her go without any further examinations and ordered Reptile to watch her closely.

She wanted to be left alone but found herself being watched continuously by Reptile. It wasn't until she went to the bathhouse that he finally left her alone, only to be attended by one of Shao Kahn's servants. She wasn't Zareta, unfortunately.

Mileena ordered her to leave, but she insisted that her father had sent her. Then Mileena ordered her to send someone else to watch her, hoping that they would send Zareta instead. But she still refused to leave.

She only angered Mileena to the point where she grabbed the servant and forced her into the pool. She wrestled her down and held her head underwater while she struggled to break free.

"You bitch!" She screamed. "I told you to send someone else."

Two more female servants rushed into the bathhouse and helped pull Mileena off her, and she was able to get away. The two servants immediately backed off when Mileena writhed and thrashed out of their grip.

"Don't fucking touch me!"

"Princess Mileena, please calm down." One of them said.

"Fuck you! You're not my mother!"

Mileena removed her magenta robe, which was now completely soaked, and threw it at one of the female servants.

"Go fetch me a dry one in my room!" She ordered and sat down into the hot pool.

Gradually, she felt herself calming down. The female servant returned with one of her dry magenta robes and set it aside. Mileena glanced at her did a double-take when she realized that there were now two servants watching her, her aggravation returning once more. She tried her best to ignore their presence.

After Mileena finished bathing herself, she went back to her room and changed into her usual attire. She walked out of her room and saw Reptile casually leaning against the wall, watching her.

She glared at him, "What the fuck are you looking at?"

He didn't respond and followed close behind her as she went downstairs to the dining area.

The maids prepared her usual meal of cooked meat, but when she took a bite of it, she nearly retched.

She turned to one of the maids, "Why does this taste like shit?"

The maid trembled and responded, "My apologies, princess. But I thought you wanted your meal cooked."

"Did you put any spices on it?"

The maid was silent for a few moments and answered in a shaky voice, "No."

Mileena grabbed her plate and threw it across the room, shattering the glass plate next to the maid's head. She squealed and ran out of the dining room. Mileena turned to the other maid, who looked just as terrified.

"Cook it right! Or you'll be my next meal." She quickly nodded her head and left.

Another maid walked in and cleaned up the pieces of the glass and meat off the floor.

Mileena sat there waiting but felt herself growing hungrier by the minute. She began fidgeting in her seat, then grabbed a fork and started chewing on it.

Then she heard a familiar voice ask, "Are you alright, my dear?"

She turned to find the familiar brunette servant. She wanted to greet her but held back due to the damn saurian watching her.

"No, I'm not alright. Those fuckers did not cook my meal right!"

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear about that." Zareta pulled out a wrapped cloth and held it out to Mileena. "Here. Try one of these. I hope it will help curb your hunger."

Mileena unwrapped the cloth, and a sweet aroma filled her senses and made her mouth water. "What is this?"

Zareta chuckled, "It's chocolate."

Mileena took a piece and tasted it. Her mood was suddenly shifted as it melted in her mouth. "Mmmm, tasty!"

She turned to Zareta and asked, "Can I have more chocolate?"

"Of course, my dear!" She placed the cloth full of chocolates in front of her. "Enjoy!" She then left the dining area.

Mileena ate a few more pieces and relished the sweet taste as they melted into her mouth.

She turned to Reptile. "You should try these. They're amazing!"

Reptile only gave her a questioning look and shook his head.

Later that night, Mileena stood by the railing of the balcony, looking out towards the moon on the horizon. She began thinking about her beloved wraith.

"Have you ever been in love?" She asked without taking her eyes off the moon and knowing that Reptile was not too far away.

"No." he hissed in annoyance.

She grinned under her veil, knowing that she had annoyed him. And she was going to continue to annoy him until he snaps.

"Awe, that's too bad."

He remained silent.

She continued, "But if you do fall in love. It's so amazing and magical. It's like that rush you feel when you touch yourself for the first time."

She could hear him hiss again.

"Oh," she scoffed, "Don't tell me you've never done that before!"

He still remained silent.

"It should be easier for males. All you have to do is grab your dick and…."

He wrapped his arm around her neck, and she struggled against his grip.

"Do you ever shut up?" He hissed into her ear.

"Let go!" She managed to say.

He didn't let go.

Why is he so defensive?

Then she strained to say, "Okay, I'm sorry."

He finally let go, and she fell to her knees, coughing and panting. Then she turned and looked up at him.

"I'm sorry," she said, still panting and added in a more conniving tone, "That you have no dick!"

He charged after her, and she jumped up and ran towards her front door. She ran out of her room and down the stairway. She can hear him snarling behind her. She let out a deceptive laugh and continued running away.

They ran past a few guards and servants who had puzzled looks on their faces.

Shang Tsung was about to retire for the night when he heard Mileena's maniacal laugh in the distance, followed by the sound of her heels clattering all over the palace.

He let out an annoyed sigh and went to find out what was going on.

Mileena ran out of the palace and towards the Courtyard.

Reptile finally caught up and tackled her to the ground. She struggled to get away, and he pinned her down. She could see in his eyes that he was practically seething with rage.

"What are you going to do now? Hurt me?" She scorned.

"If you weren't the emperor's daughter, I'll kill you." He hissed.

She caught a glimpse of a figure approaching fast.

She chuckled, "Oh, I'm really scared!"

He raised a fist, causing her to flinch. Then he was suddenly tackled from the side.

Mileena quickly got to her feet and noticed that it was Baraka.

He snarled at Reptile. "Leave her alone!"

Reptile pushed him off and stood his ground. "She's not worth your time!"

"He touched me!" Mileena blurted out.

Reptile's head snapped in her direction. "What!"

"You bastard!" Baraka charged at him.

Mileena watched in amusement as they fought each other. Baraka knocked him down and tried to slash at his face. Reptile spat acid in his face and managed to get back up. Baraka charged at him again, but he disappeared and began attacking him. Baraka was knocked to the ground and quickly got to his feet. He was hit from behind and swiftly swung his blade behind and slashed Reptile in the abdomen. His green blood spewed out. He reappeared and stumbled backward.

"Enough!"

Mileena turned to find the sorcerer approaching.

"What is going on?"

"We're just playing." Mileena chimed innocently.

Shang Tsung was not convinced and turned to Baraka and Reptile. "Is that true?"

Mileena gave Baraka a wink, and he grinned.

"Yes." He said and glared at Reptile. "Nice playing with you, asshole!" He turned and left the Courtyard.

Reptile remained silent and cradled his wound.

"Well, then I'll escort you back to your room." He said to Mileena and turned to Reptile. "Go get yourself fixed up in the soul chamber."

Mileena half expected Shang Tsung to be questioning her, but he remained silent.

When they got to her room, she stopped by the door and turned to face him.

"I know I've been bad for a while."

The sorcerer lifted a brow. "There's no need to explain. Your father expects only the best from you."

"But you don't have to pretend everything's okay."

He chuckled, "What do you expect me to do about it?"

She shrugged, "I don't know."

"Then there is nothing to worry about."

"Okay, cool! Goodnight, sorcerer!" She walked into her room and closed the door shut before he could respond.

"Goodnight, Mileena." She heard him say through the door.

Go away!

She heard his footsteps walking away.

She cradled the teddy bear in her arms and sat on her bed.

"Don't worry, my son." She spoke softly. "I got back at him for kicking you in the head."
