The next day, Scorpion took Mileena to the bathhouse. She insisted on him staying by her side, but he declined and reassured her that he would be just outside the door. Two servants enter the bathhouse with her.

She pondered what Reptile had said to her before. Maybe she should have just told Baraka about her and Scorpion. He will have his heartbroken, but at least he will take the hint and leave her alone.

She sighed and contemplated it. But if she did tell him, will he keep it to himself or tell her father. She also couldn't shake the image of him looking at her with hungry, lustful eyes. If he hadn't picked up Scorpion's scent, he would have gone through with it and have his way with her. Even though he didn't go through with it, she couldn't help but feel violated in some way. She uses as many cleaning oils as she can and soaks in the pool for a while.

She turns to the servants standing by. "Can one of you hand me a sponge?"

After she was done, she returned to her room.

In the throne room, Scorpion meets with Shao Kahn and Sindel along with Shang Tsung and Reptile. Reptile had already informed Shao Kahn about Jade's escape.

Shao Kahn chuckled, "First, Kitana. Now, Jade. I wonder who helped her escape."

Reptile seemed hesitant but answered anyway. "Kitana must have come back for her."

"It doesn't matter now. Jade is now a traitor and will die like the rest of her pathetic Earthrealm allies."

Shao Kahn turned to Scorpion. "Shang Tsung informed me what you did yesterday. Well done! I knew I could count on you to protect my daughter's virtue."

Scorpion simply nodded his head but said nothing. Then he noticed Reptile giving him a conniving smirk.

Scorpion narrowed his eyes at him.

You better keep your fucking mouth shut!

"How's my daughter doing?" Sindel asked.

"She's fine."

"I'd like to spend some mother and daughter time with her."

She then turned to Shao Kahn. "If that's okay with you, my love."

"Of course!"

Scorpion returned to Mileena's room.

Mileena stood by the railing on the balcony. She gazed towards the living forests in the distance.

She heard Scorpion approaching her. "Zareta came to see me after you left. She said she was leaving, but she will return after the invasion is over."

She turned to face him. "Do you think she knows what's going to happen?"

"Maybe." He said with uncertainty. "If Shao Kahn and Sindel die during the invasion, then you will be the next Kahn to rule Outworld."

She sighed, "I know, but..." She paused and approached closer to him. "Will you rule by my side?"

He didn't know how to respond. Becoming emperor and ruling Outworld wasn't something he wanted to do. There was unfinished business to take care of before he could even think about that.

"Will you?" She asked, anxiously awaiting his answer.

He leaned forward and planted a kiss on her lips. She let out a soft moan and pawed his chest.

She pulled away and asked, "Is that a yes?"

He didn't answer and informed, "Sindel wants you to meet her at the Courtyard."

"Why? What does she want with me?"

Mileena arrives at the Courtyard with Scorpion following at a distance. Sindel approached her with open arms and embraced her.

"Welcome, my daughter! We have so much to catch up on."

Mileena lifted a brow and pulled away from her. "What? But we just met."

Sindel laughed, "I'm sorry. I have to remind myself that you're not Kitana, but you resemble her so much, aside from the Tarkatan teeth."

Mileena awkwardly shifted as Sindel circled her. "Everything else is pretty spot-on, though I also notice your skin is a little darker. I suppose that part also comes from your Tarkatan side."

Sindel caressed her hair, causing Mileena to flinch slightly. "As an infant, Kitana had thick hair. I used to comb through it."

Please, don't comb my hair!

"You know what Kitana and I used to do for fun," Mileena said as she turned to face her, hoping to deter her.

"What's that?"

"We would fight!"

Sindel laughed, "Well, of course, you did. Your father told me that you were to replace her. Why would she stand for that?"

"No, I meant we would fight in a sparring match."

Sindel's eyes lit up. "It's nice to know that Kitana inherited my fighting spirit. And I'm sure that resonates with you as well."

"Yes." Mileena admitted, "I love it."

"Well then," Sindel took a few steps back and stood facing Mileena. "Show me what you've been taught!"

Mileena took her stance, as did Sindel.

Scorpion stood from a distance and watched.

"Fight!" Sindel shouted.

Mileena rushed forward, and her fists collided with Sindel's fists. She then attacked with a combination of her fists and kicks, pushing Sindel backward while she blocked. Mileena continued her attack until Sindel suddenly whipped her hair in Mileena's face, causing her to stumble back. Sindel then attacked, putting her on defense. Mileena blocked and evaded her attacks while being pushed back.

Scorpion watched while analyzing Mileena's movements. He noticed she moved with more agility and versatility.

Mileena pushed back with more forceful attacks. Sindel was forced on defense again. She whipped her hair again but missed. Mileena teleported into the ground and reappeared above. She kicked Sindel in the chest and sent her flying back. She landed hard on her back, knocking the breath out of her.

Scorpion grinned.

Well done!

Mileena approached Sindel. "Are you okay?" She asked, not that she cared.

Sindel slowly stood up. "You fought well, my daughter! You are well prepared for Earthrealm's invasion."

Later on, Scorpion meets with Shao Kahn in the throne room once again.

Mileena used this time to sneak out of her room and go to the armory. She cautiously entered the armory. There were a lot of Tarkatans hanging around. She walked further into the armory and searched for Baraka. A few of them noticed her and bowed down as she walked past them. This created a ripple effect among the other Tarkatans until she finally spotted Baraka in the corner. He too bowed down when he noticed her.

She took a deep breath and mustered the courage to approach him.

However, the closer she got to him, the more her fear dissipated and was replaced with a growing rage inside.

She stood right in front of him.

"Leave us!" She shouted out. The other Tarkatan's immediately leave the armory.

She waited until they were alone.

Baraka looked up at her expectantly.

"Eyes on the ground!" She said with clenched teeth.

He put his head down.

"Do you remember what you did last night?" She did her best to speak in a calm voice.

He shook his head. "No. What happened?"

"You were drunk again."

"What?"

"And, you attacked me!"

He lifted his head and gave her a confused look. Her gaze pierced threw him, and in a fury, she screamed at him. "Keep your eyes on the fucking ground!"

He flinched and obediently put his head down.

"You came through my balcony and attacked me!"

"I'm sorry, princess!"

She let out a rather dark laugh. "You think saying sorry is going to make this better!"

He shook his head and asked, "What do you want me to do, princess?"

"Lick my fucking boots!"

He lowered his head to lick her boots, and she gave him a swift kick in the face. She kicked him with enough force to knock him backward.

She stood over him, and he stiffened.

"You know," she said casually, "I take back when I said I was going to cut your dick off and make you choke on it."

He remained silent with a nervous look.

She turned to one of the iron rods in the fire pit. She grabbed the handle and pulled it out of the flames. She eyed the hot, glowing end and pointed it at his face. He immediately turned his head, trying to avoid the burning tip.

"The next time, you disobey me," she said in a threatening tone, "I will shove this thing so far up your ass, you'll be begging me to cut off your dick instead!"

He remained silent.

She poked him in the face, he grunted in pain as his cheek burned and sizzled. "Is that understood?" She sternly asked.

He quickly replied, "Yes, princess!"

"Good!" She backed off and allowed him to get up. "Now get out of my sight!"

He rushed out of the armory.

Mileena heard a sizzling sound and looked at the handle. A part of her glove was burning from the iron rod. She put it back in its place and examined her hand. There were no burn marks on her skin, and she felt no pain.

Weird!

Curiously, she pulled the iron rod out of the fire pit and bravely touched the hot, glowing tip. A part of her glove burned off, and she still felt no pain from it. She looked at her hand, and again there were no signs of any burns.

Strange, but interesting!

Scorpion returned from the meeting. He finds Mileena wearing her silk gown and lying in a provocative position on her bed. She gave him a mischievous grin and seductively slid her tongue across her lips. He couldn't resist such a display and advanced on her.

She giggled, "Let's finish what we started! This is the night before the invasion begins."

Scorpion thought that was a strange combination, but then again, Mileena is half Tarkatan.

He teleported out of the room and was only gone for a few moments. He returned with a plate with pieces of raw, bloody meat and a few pieces of chocolate on the side.

Mileena sat on her bed and devoured her meal in seconds. She gave the empty plate to Scorpion, and he teleported out of the room again.

She checked herself in the mirror to make sure she didn't make a mess of herself. There were none.

Good!

She tucked herself under the blankets and closed her eyes.

Scorpion returned and found her fast asleep. He lies down next to her and cuddles with her.
