Five months ago…
Chloe nursed a beer while waiting for Beca to show. The brunette had promised she'd at the party after she got off work. "Hey Red, come dance with me." Some guy demanded, grabbing Chloe by the waist, trying to pull her to him.
"No thanks." She said pushing him away.
"Awe come on Red." He whined. "Looks like you're here all alone and just looking at you is making me hard." He grabbed her again and tried pushing his junk into her backside. She turned around with all the force she had and shoved him.
"Get off of me!" She walked off, not wanting to tell him she was waiting for her girlfriend fearing he would just make some gross comment about it being hot and suggesting a threesome.
After being able to ditch the drunken asshole she decided to wait outside for Beca. After that whole situation she really didn't even want to be there anymore but she didn't want to leave Aubrey alone at the party, even though she knew the girl was capable of taking care of herself. They made the promise their freshman year to never leave a friend at a frat, knowing too well some drunken guy may be all too willing to take an equally drunk girl to his room. Aubrey even made a rule to check in with each other every twenty minutes or so.
Chloe leaned against one of the pillars on the porch, digging her phone out of the pocket to text Beca. *Hey, where are you?* She sent and decided to sit on the porch swing. She got about two steps before she was grasped and pushed against the porch rails and pulled into a rough kiss. She yelped in surprise, seeing the douchebag from before she tried to push him away but he was too strong, her hands on his chest.
From any onlookers, at first, it would just appear like two people embracing in a kiss. And that's exactly what it looked like from Beca's point of view from the sidewalk. The brunette froze, all she saw was Chloe kissing someone else. If she actually took a second to actually look she would see Chloe desperately pushing on the guy's chest and he firmly had her face gripped between his hands. Instead, she took off running down the sidewalk. After turning the corner, she doubled over, feeling physically sick. All kinds of emotions were running through her. She felt hurt, betrayed, angry, and confused. What the fuck just happened? She stood up again, jaw clinched as she started back to her car where she left her cell phone. How could she fucking to that to us?!
Meanwhile Chloe was able to break free a little when the guy started kissing her neck. "Get off me!" She yelled, maneuvering a bit to knee him in the crotch effectively breaking the hold he had on her. Luckily before he was able to get up, one of Chloe's friends saw and came to her aid. After thanking him and finding Aubrey to say she was ready to go, she went back outside to wait and call Beca when she saw she had a text from her girlfriend. *Next time you decide to cheat on someone, make sure they're not coming to meet you. I can't believe you.* Her heart dropped to her stomach and she choked out a sob. She immediately tried to call to explain what happened. The brunette picked up after the second ring.
"I can't fucking believe you!" She yelled and Chloe could tell she was crying.
"Beca I swear it's not-"
"Don't call me again, Chloe. We're finished." Beca said almost emotionless and disconnected the line. Chloe burst into tears and slid down the railing of the porch, her knees not being able to support her anymore. Just a minute later Aubrey came out and rushed to her side, asking what happened. After only being able to get a few choked words out Aubrey took her into her arms and helped her to her feet.
"Come on, let's get you home." Two things were certain to Aubrey. One, she was going to find that guy and rip his dick off. And two, her best friend was absolutely heart-broken and she was going to make sure Beca and Chloe worked things out.
Now…
Beca just finished with practice and was walking back to her car when she saw a familiar blonde sitting on the hood of her car. Fuck. Just what I need.
"Did Chloe send you?"
"No." The blonde slid off the car and approached Beca. "Chloe doesn't know I'm here."
"Then what are you doing here Aubrey?" She asked as she put her bat bag into her back seat then turned to the blonde.
"It's been two months Beca."
"So?"
"So Chloe's been run ragged trying to get you back. She teaches here during the day, goes to school at night, somehow finds time to do her homework, and then more often than not cries herself to sleep at night. Look, I know we haven't always seen eye to eye on everything but the one thing we have in common is we both care about Chloe." Aubrey said and Beca scoffed. "You do and don't try to tell me otherwise." Beca rolled her eyes but conceded.
"Fine, but why are you here?"
"To tell you the truth."
A/N: I'm baaack! It's really short update, and I know it's not really too agnsty but I can't have Chloe doing anything bad…like ever. So kind of cliché but I could totally see Beca misinterputing and being stubborn more than I could see Chloe being mean. Sorry for being gone for so long, lots of real life stuff. Divorcing from wife, moving back to home state, and building a new house. Hopefully now though updates can more frequently.
