The next chapters are going to be a mini-arc that Zweig suggested to me and I thought why not give it a try and make something different. I don't know how long this arc is going to be, but I hope you will enjoy it.

Chapter 51: Sins of Arcadia – Part 1
I got invited by Nervin, Blitz, Tank, and Rally to visit their place with Yusei, Jack, and Crow. It was more like to hang out and catch up after we hadn't seen each other since the Christmas party. I mostly exchanged messages on LINE with them, but spoke a lot to Rally whenever he called to just talk or get some help with his homework. After he, Tank, Nervin, and Blitz found a cheap but large apartment after the Daedalus Bridge Tournament, Rally got enrolled into a decent school. He was the same age as Leo and Luna, so he was going to be a 6th grade student in April.
The apartment was a bit run-down, but the group had done their best to furbish up the interior with the little collective income they had. Nervin was part-time working slash part-time studying in a nearby barber shop to one day become a professional and own his own hair salon. I may have not mentioned it before, but at the old time when I was staying at Yusei's place in the Old Satellite, after Nervin began trusting me he asked me if he could "play" with my hair and try coming up with different updo's. We bonded through those times and we had fun too.
Tank was working in a grocery shop in the storage and packed up the goods on the shelves, and sometimes stood by the cash register. He said he and his colleagues sometimes could bring home some of the goods that were about to get spoiled for free, which was a big plus for the household. Blitz got a job in a pub as a bouncer, so he had responsibilities to make sure none of the guests gets hurt and stop drunken brawls.
We were in the living room, sitting either on the couch or in armchairs around a coffee table that was covered by half-filled cups and snacks on plates. I sat by a corner of the couch with Yusei on my left as all of us had a short laugh-feast.
I was dressed in casual yet bold style, consisting of a cotton brown jaguar print sleeve off-shoulder top that exposed the straps of my black bra, grey studded bootcuts pants, and black socks. My jacket and boots were in the hallway by the coat rack, including a thick and nice scarf that shielded my neck since I drove on my Runner to the apartment.
"I never once thought, in my whole life, that I would one day see Jack serving someone instead of him getting served!" Crow laughed.
Jack blushed embarrassingly as he glared at his foster brother with a look that screamed "murder". "At least I'm getting more wages than you do, Crow! That alone proves that the great Jack Atlas is still a living legend!"
"That's 'cause you're still popular with the girls!" Crow retorted. "And this is not a competition on which one of us gets more money by work!"
"Jack certainly likes to turn everything into a competition", Nervin chuckled softly before he sipped his tea.
"Maybe the café will turn into a host club if the word keeps spreading that Jack is working as a waiter", I commented, receiving some chuckles as reply.
"You never know", Blitz chuckled. "It's tough working in the pub, but I enjoy it…except the few times when there's some trouble going on."
"But that's kind of expected in a pub", I mumbled softly.
"How's it going with the engine prototype for the Grand Prix?" Tank wondered as he munched on a biscuit.
"We haven't done any progress yet, but I'm not giving up", Yusei replied. "We will make it before the WRGP."
"I know you can do it, Yusei!" Rally encouraged him. "You're the best mechanic out there! You've built two Duel Runners in such a short time!"
"That was all thanks to you, guys", Yusei said modestly. "Without you, I would've never achieved it."
Jack looked away with his arms crossed with a poker face. I had a feeling he was remembering the time he betrayed Yusei and stole his first Duel Runner to get to New Domino City. That was now in the past, though, so there was no need to stick to it.
I snapped my head up when I heard the familiar ringtone of my smartphone from the hallway where my jacket and bag were. "Excuse me."
I stood up from the couch and hurried to the hallway to answer the phone. I grabbed my beige faux fur hooded jacket and opened one of its pockets to pick up the singing device, seeing it was Mina calling. It was a weekday and getting a call from Mina in the middle of the day either indicated I was needed for duty or she wanted to talk to me. I guessed it wasn't the latter.
"Hello?" I said after I answered the call.
"Estelle, it's Mina. Where are you right now?"
"I'm visiting some friends. What's wrong?"
"The team searching through the old building of the Arcadia Movement just reported they found some disturbing documents and they've required you to join them for further investigation."
The Arcadia Movement… It had been months since I last time heard the name of the now fallen organization.
After the Dark Signers Incident, as it was called among those who had been personally involved, Goodwin assigned a group of officers and detectives to investigate the Arcadia Movement and confiscate as much data as possible. The victims who had been manipulated by Sayer, like Aki once was, were really lost when they found out Sayer was no more. He was their guidance; their leader. Most of them were in a similar state as Aki used to be before her eyes got opened by the truth, so they had been sent to facilities for treatment and therapy. Young kids whose souls hadn't got broken yet were escorted home to their families who had been anxious and worried about them. Some parents, however, didn't want to acknowledge their child because of their psychic powers, so some ended up in foster homes or in an orphanage. Aki demanded that every child got the medical help they needed and proper guidance to learn controlling their powers. She really got into it that she often visited the orphanage to help the children get a grip on their powers.
I visited the orphanage from time to time to see how much the children had grown and learned. My heart ached in pain whenever I watched the innocent children. How could parents disown their own child, just because it was different compared to the norm?! It was literally the same thing as with children with autism and special needs. Some parents, that I've seen myself in my world, were so ignorant and didn't care a single bit for their special needs child. They thought it was the school's job to teach them about life and learn how to behave and live in the world. I had such a deep anger toward those kinds of parents that I felt like I could rip them apart limb by limb. In times like these, I was so happy that I had two wonderful, kind, and caring parents who taught and raised me in the proper way for me to live and function in the society. Some children never get the same blessing and it hurt to think about it.
I quickly snapped out of my thoughts, putting all my attention on the news Mina just told me. "I'll head out right away. Are they in the Movement building?"
"Yes. And they've also requested Aki to join them to ask her some questions. Trudge's gone to pick her up at her home."
Oh dear… If they were requesting Aki's help, then that could mean they had found some extremely disturbing information.
"Alright. I'll be there in less than ten minutes."
I ended the call after a quick bye and went back to the living room where the young men kept the conversation going. "Guys, I'm sorry, but I have to leave. Duty call."
"What, already?!" Rally whined disappointingly.
"I'm sorry, Rally, but as a Special Agent of Security, I need to go when they call for me", I shook my head softly. "I'll see you guys another time, okay?"
"Sure…", Rally pouted irritably.
"Be careful, okay?" Nervin told me.
"I will", I nodded.
I went back to the hallway and put on my white belt detail western boots before pulling the white animal print stole scarf down my head to rest on my exposed neck and collarbone. I was just about to put on the jacket when Yusei spoke up behind me.
"Are you sure you're going to be okay?"
I looked over my shoulder as I adjusted the jacket, seeing the Signer's slight worried expression. I smiled softly as I turned around to properly face him. "Don't worry too much, Yusei. They just want me to look over some documents they've found in the Arcadia Movement."
"Arcadia Movement? I thought the case was close?" Yusei commented confusedly.
I shook my head. "No. Because the building is so large, the team working there is going through every single little crack and space to find hidden rooms like the one in Sayer's old office. It's been going on for months, and we're still not done."
Yusei stayed silent before he exhaled softly through his nose. "Still, be careful. That place could have hidden traps."
"I know", I nodded.
I put away my cell phone and picked up the keys for my Duel Runner from the jacket and hurried out of the apartment. There was no time to lose.
As I drove down the streets, I couldn't help but think about Sayer. He got eaten by Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua, but after Aki defeated Misty he never appeared in the amusement park as the victims of the Immortals usually did after their souls got freed. This meant that Sayer was on the run and Sector Security was looking for him to arrest and bring him to justice after finding out the truth that he wanted to invade New Domino City with his manipulated soldiers of psychic Duelists.
Sayer was a very dangerous man and we needed find to him fast before he could build up his Arcadia Movement again with new victims.
XXXXXXXXXX – Sly's POV
Another boring day of school was over. The class had been boring because I had already read everything needed for it. My classmates talked around me, causing a buzzing headache that had grown since lunch-time. I packed my schoolbag and adjusted the Duel Academy Duel Disk, ready to head home for some peace and quiet, when Luna called my name.
"Sly!"
I held back a groan as I looked over my shoulder to see the twin walk up to me with a smile. Her brother and their friends stood in the background, watching the two of us.
"What?" I asked as I closed the schoolbag.
"We're heading out to eat at a new café", Luna said. "Do you want to join us?"
I snorted as I threw my schoolbag over my shoulder. "You've got so much time to be lazy instead of studying? That's why you've got such bad grades."
"Hey!" Leo shouted irritably. "Don't talk to my sister like that!"
I just shrugged and walked out of the classroom while the male twin shouted threats about me coming back so he could beat me into a plump.
The walk to the house that I called home was silent, which I appreciated due to my headache. I really needed to take an aspirin as soon as I came home.
Home…
Or should I say, a place where I had a roof over my head. A shelter.
The place where I was staying wasn't exactly a home. It was the house of my grandparents and I was just a freeloader. Apparently, I was the product of what adults called a "one-night stand" when two adults share a night and they never see each other again.
Mom gave birth to me and she did take good care of me all by herself until I turned five. She all of the sudden packed all our stuff and she sent me to my grandparents while she ran away with a man who I never met.
My grandparents…weren't the nicest people in the world. They didn't like the fact their daughter got pregnant so young. They treated me badly. There was no violence, but lots of verbal abuse. They started leaving me alone once I discovered they didn't yell at me when I got good grades, like B+ and beyond. So as long as I got good grades, they wouldn't abuse me.
I opened the door to the house. It was empty with both Grandpa and Grandma being at work. I removed my shoes and headed up to my bedroom to dump my bag on the bed. I opened my wardrobe and switched clothes, changing into a black top, dark green jacket, dark blue jeans, and black boots.
I went back down to grab the little money that Grandma had put on the kitchen table with an old note that I should buy my own dinner. I stuffed the money in my pocket before grabbing a glass and poured water so I could take an aspirin. As soon as that was done, I headed out for a walk.
I went to a nearby park to settle down on a bench and leant against the back support. I put my arms up on it and just stared at the sky. The headache had calmed down a bit and it was quiet around me.
I apathetically stared at the white clouds for a long time until I snapped out of it when I remembered the Duel between Aki and the Vice-Principal, but mainly Aki's Thought Ruler Archfiend. The Synchro Monster had been in my mind since that Duel and it's been bugging me.
I wanted to see the Monster again.
No. Not just that.
I wanted it!
It felt so weird that I was once obsessed with Stardust Dragon, and now I wanted Thought Ruler Archfiend which, technically, was stronger than the dragon.
I groaned when I heard fan shrieks in the distance and looked over my shoulder. A group of girls and boys alike had gathered around that famous model, Misty Tredwell, and was asking for her autographs and taking selfies with her. The peace was now ruined, so I got up from the bench and left the park.
I bought two rice balls and a bottle of water in a convenience store, having that as dinner. I wasn't really a big eater. That and I was saving up my money, so as soon as I would turn 18 I would leave my grandparents' house to get my own place.
I walked down the now dark streets and drank the last drop of the water bottle before throwing it in a trash can. The streets were weirdly empty and kinda spooky, or I was just being paranoid.
Nah. I wasn't that far away from the "shelter", so nothing was going to happen.
I snapped my head up when I suddenly heard footsteps behind me. They splashed in the tiny puddles as I kept walking. I glanced over my shoulder and saw a tall man wearing a trench coat, a hat, and a gold-colored Duel Disk. The cap of the hat was down, so I couldn't see his face, but I could see his lips. They were in a straight line, but I swore I saw one of the corners go up just a little bit.
That gave me an awful feeling, so I picked up the pace to get away from the eerie man. Even so, the footsteps behind me wouldn't fade. They actually came much closer. What the heck?!
Was this man after me or what?!
What if he was a pedophile?!
I didn't want to find it out. I had to run!
I dashed ahead and tried to get away from the trench coat man. As I was running, I thought I heard a deep chuckle from the man, but I didn't want to stay and see if it had been him.
I turned a corner and swore to myself as I realized I was trapped in an alleyway. It looked like I had to fight now to get rid of the pedophile!
I turned around and clenched my hands into fists as I watched the man casually step into the alleyway. Something was really odd about him as he only had a smirk on his face.
"Who are you?! Stay away from me!" I growled as I was ready to beat him.
The mysterious man chuckled amusingly. "That is not the proper way to talk to your father… Sly."
My eyes widened when he said my name. How did he know who I was?!
Wait a minute.
"How the hell do you know my name?! Who are you?!" I demanded.
"Who am I?" the man repeated with a chuckle. "I just told you…" He slowly moved his right arm up, so I braced myself to fight, but he picked down his hat to reveal his face.
The man had maroon-colored hair that almost had the same shape as my hair, but some of it was covering his right face. His left eye was visible and I noticed its shape looked similar to my eyes as well, except the colors since I inherited my hair color and eye color from Mom.
"I am your father, Sly", the man revealed. "And I've come to collect you."
"Collect me?" I raised an eyebrow at the choice of word. "And how do I know you're really my father? Mom never told me a single thing!"
"Did she?" my supposed-to-be father fake sighed before talking to himself. "Yuuko, Yuuko… You never told our son about me?"
I was slowly losing my patience. "I want to go him, so leave me alone or else…!"
"Go home?" the man said amusingly. "To that cold place where no one cares about you, Sly? You want to go back to the place where your grandparents have been neglecting you?"
"What the… How do you know that?! Have you been spying on me?!"
"I've had…some of my people scouting to find my flesh and blood", the man said as he moved his left arm up to activate his Duel Disk. "I wanted to bring you to your new home without any issues, but I'm afraid I'll have to use my new powers to make you come with me."
I had enough of the nonsense, so I ran forward while raising a fist to punch the man when he placed a card on the activated Duel Disk. I stopped in my tracks as a shadowy Monster appeared from a gate and floated in front of my proclaimed father. The shadow Monster hovered above me while its blood red eyes glared at me. I stepped back as I stared at the Monster. There was something about it that made me scared, and I wasn't an easy person to scare.
The Monster emitted black waves at me, but they didn't do anything. However, I suddenly felt drowsy as if the Monster was putting me down to sleep by hypnosis.
"No…", I mumbled as I felt everything around me was slowly turning black.
The last thing I saw before collapsing on the ground and closing my eyes was the evil grin on the man's lips.
For the first time in my life, my heart was screaming for someone to help me.
Someone… Anyone…
Help me…
XXXXXXXXXX – Estelle's POV
I was at the Satellite Trio's place this afternoon, but I was in the kitchen slash living room area working profusely on my laptop. My eyes traveled from sentence after sentence on the copy of information I got from the investigators at the Arcadia Movement the other day. I tried to pick up "hidden information" that could reveal something else than what was actually written, like a secret message or a secret plan.
I wrote down notes in the notebook next to me as I got an idea and hoped that, when I was done, I could go through those ideas and connect the dots together.
I saw from the corner of my eye how Yusei gently put a tea cup next to my laptop. "Thank you, Yusei."
"You're welcome", Yusei smiled softly as he held a tea cup himself. "How it's going?"
"Okay-ish", I confessed as I scrolled down through the documents. "I'm slowly getting the feeling that Sayer had a back-up plan in case his Arcadia Movement would one day collapse. As if he was prepared to rebuild the Movement after the truth would 'accidently' be revealed to the public and swiftly flee with his closest lackeys, who I suspect are some of the people he either managed to brainwash or they followed him voluntarily."
"So he could have another place where he operates his new Movement and manipulate Duelists with psychic powers for his 'army'?"
"Seems like it. I need to dig deeper into it to see if my theory is correct."
"I hope you find more information. I'm downstairs working on the engine."
"Okay", I nodded.
Yusei gave me a soft pat on my shoulder before he walked down the stairs to the garage. I couldn't help but both smile and blush by the brief physical contact. Yusei had been kinda extra touchy lately. It was either a pat on my shoulder or a rub on my back when I wasn't feeling good. I didn't mind those mini touches, but I didn't want to raise my expectations that there could be something going on between the two of us.
After all, I was going to return to my dimension once my duty as the Priestess was done.
I turned my attention back to the information and closed the window to open the next file. I immediately realized it was some kind of a digital journal, but it was written in a different way than I was used to. If it was Sayer's journal, then he did a good job hiding the names of people he mentioned by only writing the first letter of their names and used "they" instead of other pronouns.
Some entries were dated more than ten years ago, so I started from the beginning. The entries described Sayer's anger and hatred toward people who discriminated him for being a psychic Duelist. He indirectly wrote how he hurt and even killed people with the Duel Monsters he brought to life with his powers as revenge for being humiliated and not treated as an equal. Then came the entries of how he wanted more revenge and slowly began constructing his Arcadia Movement by recruiting other psychic Duelists who were living on the streets because they went through the same thing as him.
One entry, however, caught my attention. In this one, Sayer mentioned someone called Yuuko multiple times. I suspected it was a girl, even though he never wrote "she" in pronouns. It sounded like they had a forbidden night and then made a promise that as soon as the "fruit" of their night was ripe, he would one day come and collect it.
The fruit must be a child, so that meant Sayer had been a father this whole time!
I checked the date of the entry. It had been written more than ten years ago, so that meant the child was around the twins' age, either younger or older than them.
I immediately thought about Sly, Leo and Luna's classmate. The shape of his hair was way too similar to Sayer's old hair style before he got the scar on his face after the Shadow Duel with Dark Signer Carly, and the shape of the eyes were almost matching too.
What if…
What if Sly really was Sayer's son?
I felt a headache grow in my head after thinking so much, so I shut the laptop into sleep mode to take a break. I picked up my own empty tea cup and washed it before walking down to the garage. Yusei was tinkering by the work desk with the engine prototype. I was about to walk down the last stairs when the twin doors opened and the Signer twins walked in, both of them dressed in their school uniforms.
"Hi, Yusei", Leo called, but not as enthusiastic as usual.
"Hi, guys", Yusei replied as he put down his tools on the desk. "You're done with school today?"
"Yeah, but…", Leo hesitated for a moment.
"What's wrong, you two?" I asked from the small platform.
"Oh, hi, Estelle", Luna waved softly before her concerned expression returned. "It's just…"
"Something was weird today", Leo filled in.
"Weird? Did something happen at Duel Academy?" Yusei questioned.
"Did the Vice-Principal try and expel your class again?" I asked, since all of us had learned about the threat and how Aki took care of Heitmann.
"No, our class is safe", Luna shook her head. "It's just… Sly didn't show up today."
"Sly…?" I mumbled to myself, suddenly getting a bad feeling in my stomach.
"He was absent two days in a row and that's never happened to him before", Leo added.
"Maybe he got sick and couldn't come?" Yusei suggested.
"That's what Ms. Bartlet said, but Sly's never been absent as far as we know", Luna said.
"There were times he came to school while being sick, so he got sent to the school nurse", Leo explained. "He kept saying he was fine and he preferred to be at school instead of getting sent home."
Just as I was about to say something, my smartphone started ringing. I almost jumped in surprise when I heard the ringtone. I fished up the device from the pocket of my jeans and saw it was Mina calling. I answered it and held the smartphone up to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Hi, Estelle. It's Mina."
"Hi, Mina. You want a report from my research of the Arcadia Movement? I'm sorry, but I'm not done yet-"
"I'm not calling for the report. I'm calling because Sector Security just received a report about a missing case with a young boy."
The blood in my veins stopped pumping as I heard that. A missing case with a young boy involved…
"Okay… Go on."
I glanced over my shoulder to see both the twins and Yusei were eyeing me. I turned away as I tried to concentrate on Mina.
"The report came in just now, but, according to his grandparents, it appears the boy has been missing for two days. They say he's a student in Duel Academy and is around the twins' age."
Two days… Same amount of days as Sly had been missing Duel Academy, according to Leo and Luna…
I had to grab onto the railing to steady myself as I began feeling a bit lightheaded. "W-What's the name of the missing child?"
"Matsukaze Sly."
No…
"H-Hold on a second…", my voice almost shook as I turned toward Leo and Luna. "Leo, Luna… What is Sly's last name?"
"You mean family name? Why do you ask?" Leo wondered.
"It's Matsukaze", Luna answered.
No… No!
I could feel my body grow cold as I realized someone I knew, maybe not that deeply, was missing. I was getting close to faint, so I let go of the railing and settled down on the armchair next to the window. I leant forward and rested both elbows on my lap as I closed my eyes and took deep breaths to regain control over myself and not fall into unconsciousness.
"Estelle!" I heard my friends call my name worriedly.
"Estelle? Estelle, are you there?!" Mina called from the smartphone.
I kept taking deep breaths as I began feeling nauseous. The next thing I knew, someone had grabbed my smartphone and gently pushed me back against the armchair, making it fall down so I could lie on it, as small hands grabbed my now ice cold hands.
"She's so pale!" Leo called, concerned. "And her hands are cold!"
"Estelle, what's wrong? Are you okay? Is it about Sly?" Luna asked.
My eyes were still shut as I tried to calm down. I could hear the twins talking gently to me as distraction while Yusei spoke to Mina on the phone. I could feel how my brain was on the edge to shut down, but I concentrated on the voices around me and it helped me to calm down. Once I started feeling better, I opened my eyes and was met by Leo and Luna's worried faces.
"She's opened her eyes, Yusei!" Leo called.
"What happened, Estelle?" Luna asked.
I groaned lightly as I pushed my right hand underneath my glasses to push them up and cover my eyes. The light felt too bright for me after this episode, so I need some shade.
"Sly…", I mumbled quietly. "Sly is…missing."
"WHAT?!" the twins yelled simultaneously in shock.
XXXXXXXXXX – Yusei's POV
I've never seen Estelle looking so close to faint, besides the times when she confronted the King of the Netherworld and after she used her powers to call upon the Crimson Dragon to restore the damage the Earthbound Immortals had done to both New Domino City and Satellite. She had pale skin, but she now got as pale as a ghost when she collapsed on the armchair. I quickly ran to her and pushed the armchair down, so she could rest properly. Leo and Luna rushed to her and grabbed her hands after I took Estelle's smartphone out of her hand and held it up to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Yusei? What happened to Estelle? Is she okay?" Mina asked, concern visible in her voice.
I cast a quick glance at Estelle as the twins spoke softly to coax her out of her almost unconsciousness. "I think she got a shock and almost fainted in front of me and the twins. What did you say to her?"
"I told her about a missing child case because the child involved is around Leo and Luna's age, so I thought she might know the boy."
"She's opened her eyes, Yusei!" Leo suddenly called.
"What happened, Estelle?" Luna asked.
I turned my eyes on Estelle as she blinked her eyes, but then covered them with her hand, pushing up the glasses a bit.
"Sly…", Estelle mumbled quietly. "Sly is…missing."
"WHAT?!" the twins yelled simultaneously in shock.
My eyes widened at the news. That explained Estelle's reaction. "Is it about Matsukaze Sly?"
"Yes. Do you know the boy?"
"I met him once not long ago. He's Leo and Luna's classmate."
"Oh no… It's what I feared. I want Estelle to swiftly come to HQ for further information, but I guess I'll have to wait until she feels good enough to ride her Runner."
"Yeah, give her some time. She's just woken up. And, if you want, I can spread the word about Sly among my friends and show them a picture of him to help out with the search."
"Thank you, Yusei. I appreciate it. I need to go and work on the report. Tell Estelle to head to Headquarters as soon as she can."
"I will, Mina."
I ended the call and put the smartphone on the nightstand next to the armchair before turning to the twins. "Leo, can you get Jack at the café? Luna, call Aki and tell her to come here. I'll call Crow."
"Yeah, I'll get Jack!"
"Okay, Yusei."
Leo dashed out of the garage while Luna went upstairs to call Aki from her cell phone, not wanting to disturb Estelle. I turned to her and saw how she was slowly coming back. She leant forward as the armchair slowly went back to its original position.
I crouched down until I was on eye level with her. "Are you feeling okay, Estelle?"
"Yeah…", she nodded slowly as she rubbed her forehead. "Sorry I almost blacked out."
"You don't have to apologize", I shook my head before I placed my hand on top of her cold hand. "You had every right to react in the way you did." I gently caressed her knuckle with my thumb. "Can you stand up?"
"Probably…"
I helped her up on her feet and held her shoulders to steady her. She still looked a bit dazed, but she seemed strong enough to stand on her own. I let her go just as Leo and Jack burst into the garage.
"What's all this fuss about, Yusei?!" my foster brother spat irritably.
"We have an emergency, Jack", I replied.
XXXXXXXXXX – Estelle's POV
Right the very next day, I got some valuable information from Carly who had visited Misty to ask her about Sly after I asked my friends to spread the word about the missing case. Apparently, the model had spotted Sly in a park on the same day as the boy went missing. The Missing People division of Sector Security did not waste any second to go through the footage of every surveillance camera in the area. We found the correct footage with the boy and followed every single move.
Sly left the park and headed to a convenience store where he bought some rice balls and a water bottle. He ate the rice balls as if he hadn't been properly fed for days. I caught the figure of a tall man dressed in a trench coat and hat with a golden Duel Disk on his left arm waiting outside of the store and then followed Sly as soon as the he stepped outside. Sly noticed he was being followed, so he picked up the pace and walked into an alleyway. The trench coat man followed him and that was where we waited, since there was no surveillance camera in the alleyway.
I got chills when a dark mist emitted from the alleyway a couple of minutes later. The tall adult stepped out with Sly in his arms, carrying him like a baby. The disguised man was enveloped in the dark mist and he seemed to glance up at the camera. He nodded towards it and, in the next second, the mist shaped itself into a humanoid Duel Monster that appeared to swallow the camera, turning everything black. We had to fast forward the footage until we had a clear view. The mist was gone and so were the man and Sly.
It was confirmed. Sly had been kidnapped, apparently by Sayer Divine himself.
But what was that dark aura? Did Sayer use a card on Sly to make him go unconscious with the help of his psychic powers? If so, then why did that mist emit an ominous feeling? It kind of felt similar to the Earthbound Immortals, but that was impossible. The Immortals had been sealed away permanently, so… Was Iliaster behind of it?
