Hikaru entered the room after a good fifteen minutes having spent the time trying to calm down his nerves.
'I am never going to watch another horror movie again, I should have learned my lesson but no I just had to go and watch another. I should have learned my lesson last time. I am such an idiot what if I started screaming like a girl then everyone would have known, my cover would have blown. I got lucky that none of them noticed' Hikaru chided to himself.
"Oye guys, you know it's late you guys should get to your rooms before Ibiki san decides to take a patrol here." Hikaru said absently while entering the room.
But his words fell on deaf ears and no body replied to him, Hikaru looked up to see all the occupants of the room looking at him with a confused and unbelievable look while in Naruto case, he just looked like he was having a heart attack.
"Is something wrong?" Hikaru questioned.
"Oh my God, Hikaru, could you" Naruto stuttered suddenly and started pointing at him.
"Huh" Hikaru replied confused by the blonde's outburst.
"Troublesome" Shikamaru stated while looking at the commotion with concealed amusement.
"Naruto what are you talking about?" Hikaru asked again.
"He's talking about how you are a cross dresser" Sasuke said with a smirk, not even trying to hide his amusement.
The room became deadly silent even Naruto stopped shouting and just watched everyone in the room. It was so silent that you could almost hear your heartbeat.
Hikaru stood there dumb fondly trying to process what Sasuke just had said.
'Cross dresser, does that mean they know? Oh my God, if they know I am ruined, my reputation will be ruined, my family name will be shunned. I'll be an outcast, I'll be labeled a cross dresser. No one will look at me' Hikaru thought as he fell on his knees dramatically with a huge spotlight on him.
"What are you talking about?" Hikaru questioned panicking internally.
'Yeah, act like you have no idea about what they are saying. Perfect.' Hikaru thought to himself.
"We are talking about this." Neji said while pointing to the frame that he was holding.
'Shit, I totally forget about that frame, where the hell did, they find it.' Hikaru thought mentally slapping himself.
"OH, what about that, it's just a picture." Hikaru said acting relieved.
"Yes, we can see that, but we want to know why you are dressed like a girl in this picture." Sai said with a fake smile.
'Think Sakura think… I got it' Hikaru thought.
"Hahaha, come on, you think that's me. That's not me" Hikaru said with a forced laugh.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Neji said with a raised brow.
"Sheesh, it means that the person in the picture isn't me but my younger twin sister." Hikaru said with a wave.
"Nani, twin sister!" Kiba and Naruto said simultaneously with wide eyes.
"Yeah, my twin sister" Hikaru answered in a quiet voice.
"You have a twin sister" Sasuke said while looking at the frame again.
"Yeah, her name is Sakura." Hikaru replied with a nod.
It got quiet again as everybody contemplated this new piece of information.
"Ne, Hikaru kun, your sister is hot." Naruto said with a slight blush.
"Ummm, thanks I guess" Hikaru said unsure of what else to say.
"So if she is your sister, why come we didn't see her at the opening ceremony. After all the other three girls in the picture were there." Shikamaru said suddenly piquing everyone's interest.
'Damn, Shikamaru, how I hate that brain of yours.' Hikaru thought feeling slightly angry.
" Yeah, why come she wasn't there?" Sasuke asked.
"Aren't you being talkative today?" Hikaru said with a straight face.
"Hn"
"Teme, you aren't interested in Hikaru kun sister, are you?" Naruto suddenly asked in a panic.
"Never saw the day when the great Uchiha would be ever interested in a girl." Kiba said with a grin.
"Shut up dog boy." Sasuke said with a glare directed towards the two loudmouths.
That shut them both up. Everybody just looked at Hikaru waiting for him to answer.
"Fine, she couldn't come, she was busy and secondly she doesn't live here these days." Hikaru answered feeling annoyed with all the questions.
"Oh, I see. This must be sibling rivalry I read about." Sai said with a look that said I discovered something new.
"I don't see how this could be classified as sibling rivalry" Neji said countering Sai's statement.
"You see, I've read that usually if siblings do not visit each other on important occasions, it means that there is tension between them thus it can only be classified as sibling rivalry." Sai explained.
"Troublesome, your views are really strange." Shikamaru said.
"I guess that's all you need to now." Hikaru supplied.
"Ne ne Hikaru chan, why come your sister didn't come." Naruto asked again.
"Seriously Naruto, she already said goodbye to me, it was important that she go off for her school." Hikaru answered.
"Anyway you should all go back to your room already Ibiki is going to be on patrol soon" Hikaru said after a pause, hoping everyone would leave before any more questions come up.
"Yeah we should leave now; it will be bad if Ibiki finds us here." Shikamaru said.
"Hn" came the reply from two stoic people.
"But the fun just started" Kiba and Naruto whined together.
"I guess, we should leave, we will see you later cross dresser" Sai said with a wave.
Everybody started leaving the room saying their byes and other farewells while Hikaru just whisper shouted "Don't call me cross dresser, you brain damaged idiot."
Kiba and Naruto just snickered at this and just left.
'God, I got lucky, now I have a twin sister who just happens to be me. Better than being called that' Hikaru thought after everybody had left.
After cleaning up the whole room and not a single stray piece of chips was in sight Hikaru dressed into a baggy shirt and shorts and went to bed.
The next day
The gang which consisted of Naruto, Sasuke, Neji and Shikamaru decided to go to town.
"Hey, we should invite Hikaru. We can have lunch together." Naruto said with excitement, "We could have ramen, it will amazing".
"Dobe, no ramen for lunch" Sasuke said with distaste.
"Teme, you don't know the beauty of ramen" Naruto yelled.
"There is no beauty idiot." Sasuke interjected.
" RAMEN HATER" Naruto yelled feeling offended.
"Troublesome, I rather sleep. Anyway, Hikaru wasn't in his room." Shikamaru said feeling sleepy.
"How do you know, he isn't in his room" Neji asked with a pointed stare.
Even Naruto and Sasuke stopped their banter to listen to his answer.
"Hmm, I ran in to him earlier, said something about going off campus to do something" Shikamaru answered.
"I guess, it's just us then" Naruto said feeling dejected.
"Hn, let's go then" Sasuke stated.
"Hai, let's take Neji's car" Shikamaru drawled out.
"Fine but if I found anything that wasn't there before you're dead Naruto" Neji said with a threatening glare.
"Why me?" Naruto exclaimed.
"Dobe, let's go" Sasuke said with a smirk.
They all got into Neji's silver Porsche and left the campus to spend the day in the city.
Somewhere in Konoha
Three girls and one boy sat in a park having a picnic and just talking about random stuff.
"So forehead how's life?" Ino questioned observing her friend.
"Yeah, Hikaru kun, I hope you are not having a hard time" Hinata piped in.
"Anyone giving you trouble?" Tenten questioned.
"Geez slow down, my life is great with a few ups and down but fine still, I am not having a hard time I have settled in with the guys and their habits, no nobody is giving me trouble but Sai can be really annoying and I sometime wish to throttle his neck." Hikaru answered all their questions.
"Hmm, so how many hotties are there?" Ino asked after a pause.
"Seriously Ino can't you think of anything else." Hikaru said with a sigh.
"Ok sorry, no need to get like that" Ino replied.
"Did you do anything fun while there?" Tenten questioned.
"No, not much we did have a party in my room watched movies just talked." Hikaru answered.
"That's nice Hikaru kun, at least you are happy there." Hinata said with a smile.
"And also, they found the picture of all of us, the one we took at your party Ino and they thought that I was a cross dresser, so long story short I ended up saying that I have a twin sister named Sakura who just happens to be me." Hikaru finished with a dead look.
It became completely quiet and then Ino started laughing hysterically while clutching her stomach. Even Hinata and Tenten let out a few giggles; Hikaru couldn't help it himself and ended up laughing along with them.
"Hahaha, Hikaru hahaha you're your own hahaha sister, that's so funny" Ino said in between her laughs.
"I know, it's so weird calling myself my own sister." Hikaru agreed feeling better about having told them.
"Did they believe you Hikaru" Tenten asked with amusement.
"Well they did but I don't know how long they will believe that" Hikaru said getting all serious suddenly.
"Why not Sakura chan" Hinata asked with a frown evident on her face.
"Well like I told you guys earlier; Shikamaru is smart, he might figure it out or might already know or feel that I am lying and also they want to meet 'Sakura' now, and that is kind of not possible" Hikaru said with quotation marks on Sakura.
"That might be a problem but don't worry we'll help if the need arises." Tenten said with a smile.
This gave Hikaru courage and he just smiled and nodded.
"I know you guys would help, I am so lucky to have you guys as my friends" Hikaru said while pulling the girls into a group hug.
"Well that's what friends are for forehead" Ino said while returning the hug.
After this episode they just sat there talking about the girl's school and everything random in between.
RING RING RING
Suddenly the ringing of phone was heard. Hikaru brought out his phone to see who was calling him.
"Whose calling forehead?" Ino questioned obviously interested.
"Weird, it's my mom" Hikaru said with surprise.
"Really, your mom. That's new" Tenten said with disbelieve.
"You should answer that call Sakura chan." Hinata encouraged.
"Yeah, excuse me" Hikaru said while answering the call.
Hikaru got up from there and moved further away from his friends and received the call. "Hey mom" he answered while moving away.
In the park
"Oye, Neji isn't that your cousin and her friends" Naruto said when he caught three familiar faces.
"It seems Hinata is with her friends" Neji replied while looking at them.
"We should go and say hi" Naruto suggested.
"Troublesome" Shikamaru stated.
"Hn" Sasuke said.
"Let's go" Naruto exclaimed excitedly.
"I wonder what Sakura chan mother wants" Hinata asked feeling nervous.
"Yeah, I know she hardly calls though" Ino said while thinking.
"Hmmm. I hope it's nothing bad" Tenten agreed.
"Hinata chan, hi!" a loud voice yelled towards the girls.
The attention of the girls was suddenly brought towards a loud blonde dressed in orange running towards them while waving madly followed by two stoic males in dark blues and white shirts, and a sleepy looking boy dressed in brown shirt. All of them were sporting matching slacks and sneakers.
"Why are they coming towards us?" Tenten suddenly questioned feeling extremely nervous.
"I don't know but I want to know since when you became Hinata chan" Ino counter questioned.
"I don't know" Hinata said while blushing.
The boys reached the girls and soon the air was filled with awkward silence. That is until
"Hinata chan, remember me I am Naruto" Naruto said breaking the silence.
" , you're friend" Hinata stuttered.
"That's wonderful, I thought you might have forgotten me" Naruto said giving her a wide grin.
"How are you all, would like to join us?" Hinata offered.
"Troublesome" Shikamaru said while laying down and closing his eyes.
"So Tenten, how are you. I hope you haven't gone and accused someone else of being a girl" Neji said sarcastically.
"Hehehe, about that, I am really sorry" Tenten said apologizing.
"You should be" Neji stated.
"Hinata chan, you should come visit us sometimes, we can have a lot of fun" Naruto suggested while talking animatedly with Hinata and completely ignoring everyone else.
Hinata just blushed and kept playing with her fingers.
Neji and Tenten just became silent and stared at each other. Ino just watched the whole scene and kept stealing glances at Sasuke who had decided to sit with his back against the tree.
"Where's Hikaru?" Sasuke questioned suddenly grabbing the attention of everyone.
"Yeah, where is he? Why come he didn't tell us he was going to spend the day with you all" Naruto exclaimed.
Neji and Shikamaru just remained silent.
"Hikaru is over there, on the phone" Tenten explained while pointing at a figure some distance.
Everyone looked towards the figure and saw Hikaru on the phone, from what they could see Hikaru was pacing while whisper shouting in the phone with an annoyed expression.
"I wonder what's got him so agitated." Ino said while looking at her best friend.
"Yeah, I've never seen him like that" Tenten agreed while Hinata nodded.
The boys just looked at the figure trying to figure out what was wrong.
Soon Hikaru joined them and was surprised to see his best friends having a decent conversation with his new friends.
"It seems like you all are getting along, somewhat" Hikaru joked.
"I guess you can say that but anyway what happened, you don't seem happy." Ino observed.
"It's nothing, just forget it." Hikaru stated with a look that said I am not going to talk about that.
"If you say so" Ino relented.
All through the exchange Sasuke just watched Hikaru trying to figure out what he was feeling.
The rest of the day was spend having fun and getting to know each other while enjoying themselves in each other's company.
