After 10 days of doing nothing other than studying, studying and more studying, Hikaru was finally able to release a sigh of contentment, the horrendous period of studying was over; the exams had finally ended, after spending countless hours poring over notes, assignments and other reading material.
It was the last day before the holidays and Hikaru was busy jamming everything into his suitcase, the result of the exams had already been announced and luckily Hikaru had gotten second position tying with Neji while Sasuke had managed to best both by a 3-point difference. Neji after finding out that he had lost to the Uchiha by a measly three points was further infuriated at knowing that he had competition for that position as well as in the form of a pink haired boy who had smirked deviously at him and he was furthered angered by the comment the pink haired boy had said about making sure that there was only one person who would be getting second position, so after this whole ordeal Neji was plain pissed off.
"Troublesome, it's just a silly position no need to get so offended" Shikamaru said laying on the bed having already finished packing.
"It is not silly, next time I am going to beat both Haruno and Uchiha, then we will see whose laughing and that would be me." Neji stated with an evil glint.
'Why am I bothering with him, they both get like that. They and their troublesome competitive streak' Shikamaru thought.
"Well, be happy unlike Naruto and Kiba, both have to retake the exam. They will be spending their time in summer classes." Shikamaru added after a while.
"It's their fault, they should have studied rather than partying" Neji said becoming calm again, "Although I am surprised you could have easily bested Sasuke for the first position but you're too lazy, I would have considered you a rival but your lack of interest totally astounds me." Neji added after a pause.
"Hmmm, I rather sleep then get in your competition with Sasuke, it will be too troublesome and a waste of nap time." Shikamaru stated with a yawn.
"Everything is troublesome for you." Neji said with a raised brow.
"Whatever, it's better to sleep anyway" Shikamaru said while falling asleep.
Some other room
"I can't believe you teme" Naruto shouted at Sasuke while entering the room.
"What do you want Dobe?" Sasuke questioned as he set about fixing his things.
"What do I want? you got first position teme, you could have tutored me but no, you had to be a teme" Naruto pointed.
"So, I told you to study, wasn't that enough" Sasuke said with a shrug.
"NO. You were to help me but you didn't" Naruto said, "And now I have to face the horror of summer classes on my own" Naruto whined.
"Not my fault dobe, no worries though dog boy will keep you company." Sasuke said with a smirk plastered.
"Yeah but now I can't go and see Hikaru chan pretty sister." Naruto whined while flopping on the bed.
"Hikaru's sister?" Sasuke stated.
"Yeah, you know the twin sister, I can't remember the name though." Naruto said while scratching his head.
"Hn" Sasuke said.
'Hikaru's sister, now I remember the one whose picture we saw although that picture has disappeared from the room, Hikaru probably doesn't like his friends flirting with his sister. But it's weird he never talks about her he mentions the other three girls but never his sister. Maybe they had a falling out' Sasuke thought randomly.
"Neh, teme what will you be doing in the summer?" Naruto suddenly asked breaking the silence in the room.
"Dobe, I'll be with my family, Itachi is coming back this summer so I am probably going to hang out with him, it's been long since we last spend time together." Sasuke said with almost a smile while thinking about his brother.
His brother was his most treasured family member after his mother, his brother Itachi had been abroad taking care of their father business there, having being a prodigy he had been able to graduate earlier than most people of his age. He had little time with his brother but the time spent together was treasured by the both of them.
As Sasuke got lost reminiscing about all the good time spend with his brother, Naruto just watched him from where he sat thinking about his own family and the good memories when suddenly his face started turning green, by the time Sasuke came back from memory lane the blonde was visibly trembling.
"Oye, Dobe, what's wrong with you?" Sasuke said with a frown trying to hide his worry from his best friend.
" My will me for and my will be over.r" Naruto stuttered.
"It's not that bad, I mean it's not like the first time you failed." Sasuke said with a shrug while turning away from him.
The statement reverberated in Naruto's head before he realized the meaning behind it and just like that started shouting at Sasuke ranging from
"TEME, YOU CALLING ME A FAILURE."
"I NEVER FAILED BEFORE…..ONLY LIKE THAT ONE TIME"
"DON'T ACT LIKE YOU ARE BETTER THEN ME"
"I'LL SHOW YOU WHO'S BETTER, YOU HEAR ME TEME"
"JUST BECAUSE YOU GOT FIRST POSITION DOESN'T MEAN YOU ARE BETTER THEN ME"
The screaming continued until Sasuke shouted back "SHUT UP DOBE"
Which lead to a full out screaming match between the two ranging from calling each other names to silly childhood memories.
"What the hell, why are those two shouting like that." Neji said as the shouting match progressed.
"Troublesome and I was having such a nice dream." Shikamaru said wide awake now.
"Come on, we might have to stop them before all out brawl occurs." Neji said while getting up and dragging Shikamaru with him who just nodded at his suggestion.
The hallway of the dormitory was filled with curious students all milling around to see what was going on, as both Neji and Shikamaru came near, they could see Kiba standing in the side chanting "FIGHT FIGHT". While Sai just stood there with a blank face.
"What the hell?" Neji said while watching his two friends rolling around on the floor and trying to poke each other's eye out.
"What happened?" Shikamaru questioned Sai who had decided to join them.
"I was walking when I heard both of them shouting at each other in their room, it wasn't long before the door opened and they came tumbling down before I knew it they were rolling all over the place and trying to hit each other. Soon Kiba came followed with a couple of other students and then he started shouting 'FIGHT FIGHT', and that is what is happening here." Sai detailed the whole story with a blank face followed by a fake smile.
"Those two will never grow up" Neji stated while shaking his head.
"Troublesome" Shikamaru replied lazily.
"We should break them, Ibiki san might show up and everyone would be punished." Sai added as an afterthought.
"SHIT" both Neji and Shikamaru said together while remembering the last time the dorm head had been pissed off, in short words it became hell for everyone.
"Both of you stop before Ibiki gets here, are you trying to get us all in trouble." Neji said with a glare directed towards all the recipients of the room.
The glare scared them all of and soon the hall was empty except for the two rolling around, and Neji, Shikamaru, Sai and Kiba.
"Geez Neji, the fun part was just starting" Kiba said with a laugh.
"It won't be fun after Ibiki is yelling at you" Neji stated.
Hearing this made Kiba visibly cringe remembering the punishment he had to endure for pissing the dorm head off.
"You got rid of everyone but how do you plan to stop them" Sai said with a smile while pointing at the two rolling around without a care in the world.
Suddenly, the tension in the air had risen when the door of the stair way opened slowly with a creak. Their heartbeats had started increasing, they couldn't see the person on the other side of the door; Naruto and Sasuke having sensed that something was wrong stilled and looked at everyone watching Kiba crestfallen face, Neji panicked face followed by Shikamaru completely alert face, and Sai blank face with the fake smile and everything.
Suddenly realizing what their action had done both of the boys froze, knowing if it was Ibiki they were in trouble even if the holidays had just started. They watched in horror as the door further opened.
"HOLY HELL, MY EYES" was what greeted their ears.
Hikaru's POV
After having already packed all of my stuff, I decided to go out and get some fresh air; the idea of meeting my new family members was weird in its own way but trying to tell my mom that I might have gone behind her back and enrolled in all boys' school was plain terrifying and that wasn't even the icing on the cake, the fact I would have to tell her that I was student at said school was simple as asking her to shoot me in the head.
So in simple words I was plain terrified about meeting my mom who was in turn scared of meeting our new family.
I had been walking around the campus grounds for some time now, I couldn't help myself from thinking what had transpired between me and Neji, the guy was completely livid at knowing I was trying to beat him, it was funny trying to make him mad.
Although I do feel bad for Naruto and Kiba, both have to take summer classes, they are so unlucky but then it was their fault in the first place.
I decided that next term, I am taking that first position from Sasuke; it will be fun to see his ego deflated. I laughed at my thoughts.
Recently I realized that I spend a lot of spare time thinking about him, the way his eyes light up, the way he smirks…. No must stop thinking about him.
It would have been okay, but the guy is a total ice cube no emotions, doesn't even bet a lash when girls flirt with him. I mean every time we walk off campus girls are always rallying around him; I shouldn't think about him especially since I am a guy for now.
After a while I decided I should just head back, I started walking towards the dorm rooms. I realized today would be last day spending with the guys since I would be leaving to visit my mom.
As I entered the stairway, I could hear shouts coming, which was surprising, I wasn't able to make out the words but as I grew nearer the shouting ceased. I could hear quiet voices, but they were muffled, I decided to open the door slowly, but the door creaked, as I stepped into the hallway I saw Kiba crestfallen face, Neji panicked face followed by Shikamaru completely alert face, and Sai blank face with the fake smile and everything. As my gaze travelled further, I saw Naruto and Sasuke, they were in a very inappropriate position, Naruto was laying on the floor with Sasuke hovering above him, their hands were touching each other's in very wrong places, and I could see bruises forming on their hands.
I couldn't say anything, I was stunned speechless and only one thought entered my mind
'Holy hell, they both are together that is so wrong, no wonder he rejects girls, he plays for the other team'
Only one statement left my mouth
"HOLY HELL, MY EYES"
