It's a short chapter but here it is, I apologize for the wait
Six months into school and she started her day the same way as she had since the first week of school, but now tucked in the bottom of her backpack was an extra outfit. She been slushied almost every day, and always one of the two Cheerios standing close by smirking.
Putting her hair brush down Rachel grabbed her head band pushing it in place before smiling at herself in the mirror, "You are perfect, you are the best McKinley has ever seen, you will be on Broadway and they will be fat and married to the bald and fat ex high school football players." Rachel tilted her chin up. Brushing her hands down the front of her skirt she gave herself one last look before heading down stairs for breakfast.
Rachel'd barely made it through the door when the first slushy hit her square in the face quickly followed by two others, not giving them the satisfaction of crying she wiped the slushy off her face, she could hear them laughing. Waiting for them to walk away Rachel hurried in the opposite direction, bumping into a little Cheerio she sent the girl flying, slipping on the slushy that was on the floor the Cheerio slammed into Mercedes before landing on the floor.
"I am so sorry." Mercedes offered her hand to the tiny girl only to have her slap it away, grabbing her folder the cheerleader stormed away.
Six months, her 'pass' lasted six months, and it was Rachel Berry's fault. Mercedes glared into the mirror as she washed the slushie off of her face, her jacket laid on the sink next to her, it had taken the hit instead of her shirt but her hair and make-up she couldn't save. Giving a deep sigh Mercedes continued to clean herself up admitting out loud "Well it was good while it lasted."
Her jacket, face and hair cleaned and dried she headed for her first class. Texting her brother when she sat down she sighed, Mercedes to Marcus: Well I got slushied, a skinny ass cheerleader bumped into me and landed on her ass
She hadn't expected him to reply so quick but her phone vibrated in her hand as she was tucking it in her purse Marcus to Mercedes: Sorry sis, I know if I was there they'd leave you alone
Mercedes to Marcus: I know, miss you
Marcus to Mercedes: Miss you too
Tucking her phone away Mercedes sighed waiting for class to begin, the rest of the year was going to suck unless she could slip back under the 'slushie radar', she knew one thing for sure, she was going to avoid being anywhere near Rachel Berry.
She was back in her PE clothes, she'd been hit with more slushies after lunch, "I am amazing and they are losers." Rachel huffed slamming her locker door shut.
"Amazingly loud." Santana laughed, Rachel spun around expecting another slushie but it was just two Cheerios and two football players.
"Amazingly annoying." Quinn added, the football players with them laughed.
"I will be a Broadway star and you will be nothing." Rachel huffed storming away from them, eyebrow arched Quinn nodded.
"Hell no!" Mercedes yelled wiping the slushie from her eyes glaring at Rachel "You need to keep your ass away from me." both girls were covered in slushie, Mercedes was collateral damage, she just happened to get part of Rachel's splash.
"Excuse me, I didn't ask for this." Rachel huffed.
"Every time you open your damn mouth they come after you." Mercedes hissed heading for the bathroom, she was going to have to change into her PE shirt, Rachel however would need a whole new PE uniform.
"Well I am not going to let them bully me, I am better than them." Rachel huffed.
"See! That, that right there is why." Mercedes huffed shoving the bathroom door open.
"I refuse to be bullied them, I will continue to stand up to them." Rachel followed her.
"Girl get away from me," Mercedes shook her head "you're like a slushie magnet." leaving Rachel and the bathroom Mercedes headed for the girls locker room, she wanted as much distance between them as possible.
"Why because I won't let them bully me?" Rachel followed her.
"Leave me alone." Mercedes hurried away.
"Lis..."
Mercedes didn't look back, she focused forward making sure she didn't run into a cheerleader or football player.
Landing on her butt Rachel glared at the pale boy on the floor in front of her "You need to look where you're going." Rachel huffed.
"You ran into me." he quietly argued.
