"It's beautiful," Harmony said as she looked out the window of the carriage. Out of the window was a grand castle. Like something straight out of a fairytale. She saw strange creatures walking around along with what looked like normal humans. She felt her father's hand on her shoulder and turned around to face him.

"It really has changed a lot," Marco said staring at it in awe.

"Is that where Mom lived?" Harmony asked pointing to the castle.

"No," Marco said quietly. He looked out the window from his side of the carriage. "She lived there."

Harmony looked out the other window. She saw was looked like a repaired castle. Like it had once been destroyed but returned to somewhat of its former glory. She could see many strange creatures walking around. Many of all different shapes and sizes. Some looking like they were taken right off the page of a fantasy book.

"What are you those?" Harmony asked.

"They're monsters," Harmony gave him a puzzled looked. "There are lots of different kinds of monsters. It's a general term. It might have changed in the past few years."

"We're here!" Harmony said excitedly as the carriage pulled up to the castle. In front of its grand gates were Moon and River. Dressing rather formally. In Moon's right hand was what looked like a small scepter with a heart-shaped diamond on it. Harmony looked at her own outfit. A simple light blue dress with simple black shoes. It wasn't much but it was one of her nicer outfits. When the carriage came to a stop the door of it was quickly opened. Harmony started to walk out when she heard trumpets being played, Slowly she walked down the carpeted steps. Her father a few steps behind her. Looking around she saw a couple of humans and monsters bow to her. She tried to keep her composer as she walked up to her grandparents.

"Welcome to Mewni." Moon smiled warmly at her. "Princess Harmony."

"Princess," Harmony whispered to herself. The idea was still foreign to her.

"I hope you two are hungry," River said excitedly. "We're preparing a traditional Mewman dinner in your honor."

"But first we will let you get settle in," Moon said still with the smile on her face. Harmony couldn't help but feel so calm around her. "I know your father mentioned there were a few things he wanted to discuss with us."

"I just to make everything is all set with your move," Marco said softly before giving Harmony a small hug.

"I'll have my assistant Wendy show you too your room," Moon gestured to a lizard woman standing next to her. Wendy bowed as Moon spoke. "Some servants will bring your stuff up to your room. It should be all set by tonight."

"Now this castle was in the span of three years by the combine efforts are Mewman and Monsters," Wendy explained as she led Harmony through the castle. "It was meant as a symbol of how the tension between the two was coming to an end."

"There are so many hallways. I hope I don't get lost," Harmony said looking around at the castle. Wendy was still going on about the history of the place.

"Don't worry Princess you'll some find your way around." Harmony froze for a second after being called Princess. Quickly she caught back up to Wendy. "And to help you with this transition, my daughter Azealia has been assigned as your lady-in-waiting. Do not hesitate to ask her any questions."

"Okay," Harmony said quietly.

"Now, here is your room," Wendy said gesturing to a door in front of them. On it was a painted blue music note, similar to the ones on her cheeks. "I leave you to get settled. Azealia should already be in there and if not is on her way."

Harmony stood in front of the door for a second. Wendy was still next to her, looking down at a clipboard in her hand. Slowly Harmony opened it and walked in. Once in her room, Harmony gasped. It was much bigger than her room back home. Probably bigger than her and Artemis's combined. It was already nicely furnished. With a decent-sized bed. A large closet and a small staircase that led to a small study. Behind her was a window with golden curtains. Harmony walked over and moved one. Allowing her to see the kingdom in all it's glory. She also noticed a nice balcony she could sit on.

"I just don't see why you're doing this," a strange voice asked. Harmony peaked through the curtain and a grey bipedal cat. Next to it was a young woman facing back. But Harmony could see her tail and green arms.

"Mom requested that I do it," she said rather annoyed that the cat seemingly kept asking that question.

"But there's gonna be no more fun," the cat sighed jumping on a chair. "Not with a boring Princess around."

"Um hello," Harmony said walking into the room.

"Princess Harmony welcome to Mewni," who Harmony assumed to Azealia said turning around. Bowing as she did. Her light ash brown hair obscuring her face. The cat rolled her eyes a little.

"You must be Azealia," Harmony said stretching out your arm. Azealia stood up straight. Harmony was quickly taken aback.

"What are you looking at me like that?" Azealia asked bluntly.

"I thought you were a lizard person," Harmony said with confusion in her voice. Azealia had a quite human-looking face, with the exception of lacking ears and having slits for nostrils were nose would be.

"Lizard person?" The cat started laughing loudly. "The future queen of Mewni everyone!"

"But isn't you're mom a lizard person?"

"She's a septarian," Azealia started to explain with a mix of calmness and annoyance in her voice. "My father is Mewman."

"I didn't that would be possible," Harmony thought to herself before saying aloud, "Well that's interesting."

"Are we seriously putting the kingdom in her hands," the cat said standing on the chair she standing on. If she wasn't on the chair, she would go up to a bit below Harmony's waist.

"Oh, this is my friend Kit," Azealia said gesturing to the cat. "She's a Kuting."

"If I may ask how many kinds of Monsters are there?" Harmony paused for a second. "Sorry if that term's offensive."

"Um at least 25, not including a few sub-breeds," Kit said looking up in the air.

"Don't worry you'll get to know every one of them soon," Azealia shrugged it off. She leaned closer and started to whisper. "Just be careful with how you word things around some them. Let's just say tensions haven't fully died down."

"And not everyone will care that your the princess," Kat said now with small claws poking out of her paws. Harmony gulped.

"Don't worry Kit's really sweet once you get to know her," Azealia whispered with a smile. "Are you okay?"

"I just still not used to this whole princess thing," Harmony said sitting down on a chair. "I mean it's my birthright and my duty. Barely two weeks ago I was a normal girl. Now a magical princess who lives in another dimension."

"Maybe this will help," Kit took the small hat from her head and put it on Harmony's. She then started to laugh little.

"I'm sure you'll adjust."

"But I know nothing about this place," Harmony turned quickly to face the window. "The laws, the customs, the culture. I didn't even know that Monsters and Mewmans could have children together!"

"That's gonna be a problem," Kit whispered. Harmony quickly turned and glared at her.

"And that's why I'm here," Azealia said gently taking Harmony's hand and pulling her up. "As your lady-in-waiting, it's my job to help you adjust to princess hood. We can start with getting your ready for tonight's dinner."

"Yeah change your dress and your hair," Kit said looking Harmony over. "Then you'll look like a princess."

"This is my nicest dress," Harmony said holding her dress out. "None of my clothes would be nice enough for that."

Azealia laughed a little. "You really think Queen Moon didn't think ahead."

"What do you?" Harmony gasped as Azealia opened a nearby closet. The inside was three times the size as her one at home and it was full of dresses. In the back was a beautiful dark green dress, with light green accents. "That's the most beautiful dress I've seen."

"Good, that's your wand ceremony dress," Azealia said walking up to her. "That's when you'll receive the Butterfly family wand."

"Right I'm receiving that soon," Harmony said quietly.

"But you got all these to pick from!" Kit said now rummaging through the dresses. She walked up and a yellow one. "Oh, I like this one. Hmm, might conflict with your hair."

"What about this one?" Harmony said holding a pink dress. It was kind of poofy and poofy sleeves. Kit walked up to it and examined it.

"Hmm, while decently fancy it's still rather simple," Kit explained. "This would work for afternoon tea. But this event is your debut as a princess you're going to need to wow them."

"What do you recommend?" Harmony asked as Kit start rummaging through the dresses. She pulled out a couple of dresses and looked them over. Occasionally Harmony or Azealia would be able to give a quick comment on one. But Kit would quickly disappear back into clothes.

"I found one!" Kit cheered running out with a dress in her hands. It was a simple lavender dress, with long draping sleeves and silver embody on the skirt. There was also a lighter shade of lavender as trim on the bottom, with silver trim on the sleeves and collar.

"It's lovely," Harmony said looking it over. "But it still looks kind of simple."

"Well what I was thinking, you could add a nice necklace, some earrings, maybe some bracelets," Kit said with a smile. "The right accessories can help any dress stand out."

"And if we fix your hair, put on a little make-up," Azealia started, playing with Harmony's hair a little.

"Make-up?" Harmony repeated in shock.

"Yeah, do you not like it?"

"Well, my dad is a bit overprotective. He doesn't really let me wear make-up often." Harmony laughed a little.

"This is a fancy dinner," Kit said firmly marching out of the closet. "He can let go for one night. Plus you're the crown princess, You make your own rules."

"And there we go, make-up's all done!" Kit cheered happily. Harmony looked in the mirror She had on light lavender mascara and soft pink lipstick. She was also now wearing the lavender gown.

"It's lovely," Harmony said turning towards Kit. "Thanks.

"Now we just need to get your hair done," Azealia said walking over with some hair supplies. "Then you'll be all ready."

"Oh, idea!" Kit ran off and returned with a map. "While you do that we can go over the different kingdoms."

"I don't mind that," Harmony said softly with a smile. "It'd be better than embarrassing myself tonight."

"Okay," Azealia walked over to the map and pointed to a location labeled Monster Temple. "Here's a good place to start. While not royalty, the Monster Temple is home to Lady Eclipsa Butterfly and Lord Globgor."

"Oh I remember my dad telling me about them," Harmony said thinking back. "Eclipsa was believed to be an ancestor of my mom."

"That is correct," Azealia said as she started brushing Harmony's hair. "Now just to warn you, Globgor is the last of a species called size-shifters. They can change their size at will. So try your best not to get freaked out when you see him. Eclipsa and Globglor have three children, Meteora, Hope, and Alphonse."

"And of note, Alphonse looks nothing like his sisters, he looks like a clone of his mother. It's weird."

"So he didn't inherit anything from his father?"

"He did, they only show up when he uses his size-shifting powers. No one can explain why."

"I thought Artemis and I looked nothing alike," Harmony thought to herself.

"Okay, a good one to go over next would by the Cloud Kingdom," Kit said pointing to a picture to what looked like a flying kingdom.

"Good idea." Azealia started to pull Harmony's hair up. "The Cloud Kingdom is one of the Butterfly Kingdom's oldest allies. They ruled by the Ponyhead's."

"Wait those are real?" Harmony asked in shock. Azealia and Kit looked at her confused. "What disembodied pony heads that can fly were some of the least believable things he said. Like the dimension of cats with human faces."

"Well, those are real. Though the current king is only half Ponyhead and half Waterfolk. He became king with his marriage to Queen Ponyhead. Together they have triplet children, Marina, Aqua, and Arroyo."

Harmony nodded and the lesson continued. With Harmony pointing to different kingdoms before being briefly explained what they were like. Mainly the current ruling families and their relationship to the Butterfly family. Many of them had been allies for many generations.

"To my knowledge, the Avariuses haven't attended any royal events," Azealia said as she fixed the crown on Harmony's head. "It really annoys my mom as it messes up her planning."

Harmony turned to look at herself in the mirror. Her hair was now in a half updo style. With one half in a bun and the other half curled into tight ringlets. The crown she was wearing was silver and atoned with rubies. Looking back down Harmony noticed there was one kingdom left, The Underworld.

"Princess Harmony," Wendy said walking into the doorway. "Your presence is required downstairs."

Harmony took a deep breath. She stood up and dusted herself off a little. Fixing her tiara a little. Once she was downstairs, she saw her grandparents and dad standing in front of the hall. Slowly Harmony walked up next to them.

"You look, lovely dear," Marco said smiling placing an arm on Harmony.

"Oh my god, Earth Turd!" Harmony looked and saw a giant pony head flying towards them. Behind her were a human-sized seahorse, two smaller pony heads, and a smaller seahorse.

"Um Ponyhead," Marco said a bit awkwardly. "Long time no see."

"Where's B-fly," Ponyhead said looking around. "We have tons to catch up on."

"She um, couldn't make it," Marco said cautiously. "Personal issues."

"Oh boo," Ponyhead pouted before noticing Harmony. "Oh, this must be your daughter."

"Hello your Majesties," Harmony said with a curtsey.

"My, she is a polite one," Seahorse said bouncing up.

"Well hello there beautiful," Harmony turned to see one of the smaller pony heads. This one was dark blue with a black mane that looked like fins. "The name's Arroyo and it's a pleasure to meet you."

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well," Harmony said with a curtsey. Noticing that he was stretching out a fin that was one his side, Harmony stretched out her arm. Arroyo bent down and kissed it, too Harmony's shock.

"Arroyo stop being so embarrassing!" the other pony head said pushing Arroyo away. This one was teal and had light blue hair. "Forgive my brother, he isn't as proper as we are. Be lucky you don't have one."

"Actually I,"

"Hi I'm Aqua," the little pink seahorse said quietly. "And she's my older sister Marina."

"Aqua do you mind I'm talking to," Marina paused after a moment.

"Harmony," Harmony responded with no ethuaisism.

"Yeah Harmony and I are having a conversation," Marina said in a slightly entitled way.

"No, I was talking to her first before you rudely interrupted us!" Arroyo said flying up to her. Starting to push her away.

"Kids stop it!" Ponyhead said before turning back to Marco. "Kids can be so challenging some times. But you love them anyway."

"Marco!" Harmony turned to see a woman walking in. She looked a little older than her parents. One thing that stood out was the red monster with his arm wrapped around her. Next to them were three kids. The one that caught Harmony's eye was the young boy. He seemed a little nervous. But he looked to be around the same age as Artemis. Looking at the empty spot next to her. She pictured Artemis next to her. Being in awe of everything.

"Eclipsa it's good to see you again," Marco said with a smile. Harmony could see the oldest looking of Eclipsa's children glaring at her dad for some reason.

"Oh hey Alphonse," Arroyo said flying over to the boy. "Isn't the girl over there a beauty."

"Uh, we heard that," Marina said annoyed. Harmony took a step away from her. Quickly the other royal families of Mewni entered the hall. Each time Harmon curtsied and greeted them politely. Luckily she hid her surprise rather well around the unusual looking guests. Soon Moon announced that dinner ready and they entered the grand hall. Harmony was seated near the front of the table. Soon she noticed four empty seats at the table. Despite being confused Harmony didn't question anything.

"Sorry, we're late." Harmony turned around and saw a man around her father's age walking in with a small child in his arms. "Marco?"

"Tom!" Marco said he stood up and embraced him.

"Hey Diaz," a woman with short black hair said entering.

"Janna!" Marco said in shock. "What are you doing here?"

"I live here now," Janna said slyly. She walked over to Tom and wrapped her free arm around Tom. "As queen of the Underworld."

Marco looked at them in shock. Tom laughed a little.

"Yeah, it came as a surprise to us too."

"Oh looks like you and Star had gotten busy," Janna said looking at Harmony. "Good news she looks nothing like you."

"Janna," Marco said annoyed as Ponyhead laughed in the background.

"Alright everyone please sit down," Moon said. Everyone quickly took their seats. When they all had, Moon raised her goblet. "Now to start this meal I prose a toast, to Princess Harmony."

"To Princess Harmony Butterfly!"
