"What kind of cruel mirror is this?" both of the Moons asked. They reached out but as their arms pasted through they jumped back.
"I-I don't think this is a mirror," Marco said in shock.
Harmony wasn't paying attention to what was going around her. Her eyes not leaving her mother. And it seemed Star couldn't take her eyes off of her. Harmony stared in awe. This something foreign and dreamlike of seeing her in queen's garb. Her gown of a deep shade of red with pink trim. On her head was a golden crown with a pink heart in the center. Just like the ones on her cheeks.
"M-Mom." She managed to say after a few minutes.
"Harmony," he mother said back.
In an instant, the two embraced each other. Star hugging Harmony tightly. Holding her close. Harmony rubbed her head on the should, holding back tears. She felt her mom being shaken a little.
"Star," one of the Marcos said. "This isn't our daughter."
"She's the closest thing I got Marco!" Star said holding Harmony closer. Harmony lifted her head a little in confusion. Star placed one of her hands on the back of her head.
"What do we have here?" Glossaryck or two of them said flying into the room. Harmony and Star let go out of each other. But they kept close with Star keeping an arm wrapped around Harmony's waist.
"Glossaryck what's going on here?" Queen Moon asked gesturing to everything.
"Hmm." The Glossarycks flew around each other. Each with a hand on their chin. When they were done, they nodded at each other.
"Well it's obvious," one of them said.
"Indeed," the other one said with a nod.
"A timeline collision," the two of them said together.
"What?!" Everyone asked in shock.
"It's simple," the Glossaryck's created a protector and took turns speaking. "You see in this timeline known as ERAHA-RM magic was destroyed, Star went to live on Earth and magic came back twenty-five years later. While this other timeline, ERAHA-EOS magic was not destroyed. With different events leading to Star and Eclipsa cleaving Mewni and ruling side by side. What has happened magic is not fully healed in ERAHA-RM and has been taking magic from the ERAHA-OS timeline causing them to start to merge into one."
"Wait a minute," King Marco said after some thought. "Magic was destroyed! How does that even happen."
"Star, while our Star," Queen Moon said with some hesitation. "Decided to do so to defeat Mina and she along with Eclipsa, Meteora, and myself used the whispering spell to destroy it."
"I'm sorry but I did what?" Star asked letting go of Harmony and standing up a little. "Why would I destroy magic? Wouldn't that kill thousands of magical beings? Along with separating families. Not to mention how magic plays a critical role in many other dimensions cultures."
"You'd be surprised," the Glossaryck's created a projectile of many different timelines. With some Harmony are herself and Artemis but others she saw people that looked nothing like them but had cheek marks. "In many timelines and universes magic was destroyed. This has caused a large divergence in timelines. Making it for the first time ever, with some exceptions, there are different people destined to inherit the throne of Mewni."
"Incredible," Moon said in awe.
"Wait what will happen when the timelines collide?" Marco said after looking at some of the universes. "Will there be two of everyone walking around?"
"There's a 99.9999% percent chance of that not happening," a Glossaryck said.
"Instead you will become one person!" the other one said in a delighted tone.
"So we'll have the memories of two people..."
"There's a fifty-fifty chance of that happening."
"Well there's got to be a way to stop this," Queen Moon said.
"Sure but it will take a lot of magic."
"We can handle it with all of us!" Harmony said with a wide smile. "I have my wand and we'll just get the alternate version of me to help."
"We should get all the help we can and make a plan," Moon said. "I suggest recruiting Eclipsa and her children from both of our timelines. Along with your version of Artemis."
"Um our version of Artemis can't do magic," Marco said with his arms crossed. Glaring at Harmony as he did.
"Hmm, very strange," a Glossyarck said rubbing his chin.
"Indeed, Artemis is normally destined to be a powerful magic-user."
"And a good ruler." Harmony froze at those words. She glanced at her father and grandmother. Neither of them seemed bothered or shocked by the words. She looked at the Glossarycks trying to find a difference between the two. But nothing. Their words struck her. Was Artemis destined to rule in both timelines or just one? But why would her other version of herself not be the heir? Sure she kept delaying telling Artemis about magic but that couldn't mean she wasn't destined to be queen. That would be stupid.
"Artemis!" Star yelled startling everyone she grabbed King Marco. "My baby could be stuck in another timeline! All alone!"
"Don't worry darling," King Marco said calmly. "He can handle himself. I'm sure he's safe."
"Pizza's here!" Artemis said walking into the living room with a box of it. He saw Justin jam something into his backpack. Kind of look liked a small compact mirror. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah just having trouble contacting me grandparents," Justin said slouching on the couch. "It's like I don't have service."
"Your grandparents are probably just busy." Artemis opened the box of pizza. "Hope you're hungry."
He placed the pizza on the table. He ran back into the kitchen and grabbed some paper plates and drinks. He saw Justin sitting there nervously. He was staring at the pizza. Sitting straight up, hands folded on his lap. Like he was trying to impress people. Artemis handed him a plate, Justin took it but still sat there.
"Are you okay?" Artemis asked. Looking at him a bit funny.
"Aren't you gonna get a slice of pizza?" Justin asked looking from the pizza to Artemis.
"Oh you can have the first slice," Artemis said with a smile. Justin looked at him shocked before slowly reaching for a slice.
The two of them proceeded to watch TV. As time went on, Artemis saw Justin slowly get more relaxed as time went on. He couldn't help but smile at that. It was weird, but for some reason, Artemis could tell there was a lot going on in Justin's life. A lot more than he was telling him.
"You're time is running out young Butterfly."
"You've got to be kidding me," Artemis thought to himself sulking a bit in his seat. He took another bite of his pizza.
"Please hurry and go to the well."
"Uh, Artemis?" Justin asked causing Artemis to shake his head a little.
"Sorry got lost in thought," Artemis said after a few seconds. "What did you say?"
"I was wondering what kind of things you like to do for fun?"
"Oh! Well, my favorite thing to do is read the Callum Carpenter books."
"What are those?"
Artemis gasped a little. "How have you never heard of Callum Carpenter?"
Justin looked away from a second before shrugging. Artemis placed his pizza on the table before running upstairs. He collected all of his books and some of the merch he could carry. He started to run downstairs. When Justin saw Artemis come downstairs, he bolted up and tried to help him. Artemis spun away for a second before placing the stuff on the table. Justin looked at the stuff with a lot of intrigue.
"So the series follows Callum Carpenter," Artemis started to explain picking up a book. He pointed to a young boy in the center of the cover. "After he discovers that his missing mother is actually a fae. So, he travels to the fae world to learn magic and to hopefully find his mother. It's been my favorite series since I was a little kid. I've read these books so many times but it still gives me chills. Like when Callum learns to levitate objects."
"That spell is so easy."
"Huh?"
"Like isn't levitating objects is normally a beginner spell," Justin said with a nervous laugh.
"Well I've always wanted to do magic so seeing Callum do a spell makes me feel like I'm there doing magic. Something that can never happen."
"Okay everyone's caught up on the situation," Queen Moon said looking over everyone. Harmony recognized the other Meteora, Hope, and Alphonse as the ones she had seen earlier in the day. But the person who looked like Artemis was nowhere to be found along with the other timeline's version of her. Hopefully, the two of them had left on some vacation that day and were fine. But still, it was odd that the other version of her wasn't mentioned.
"So we need to find a way to stop our timelines from merging. If anyone has an idea please say so."
"Maybe we have to make the timelines equal in some way," Meteora suggested. Immediately everyone from the ERAHA-OS timeline looked at Harmony in fear.
"What?" She said in confusion.
"Oh nothing dear," Star said with a nervous laugh pulling Harmony close. King Marco was quick to separate the two, only confusing Harmony more.
"I don't think that a good idea it's too risky," Queen Eclipsa said after some thought.
"Wait in our timeline magic was destroyed," Marco said. "And Glossaryck noted that it wasn't filled healed yet. Maybe we have to heal the magic."
"That could work," Moon said rather delighted. "However there is no reverse whispering spell and magic is hard to create. Can any of you from the other timeline dip down."
"I can!" Meteora said excitedly, creating a small blast of magic to prove it.
"Awesome!" Princess Meteora said watching the blast.
"I think we have enough!" Both of the Hopes said together.
"But we still need a spell."
"That shouldn't too hard," Alphonse said. "What if we take the Whispering Spell and change part of it?"
"That might work!" King Marco said with a lot of joy that Harmony hadn't heard come from her own father in years.
Princess Meteora created a small chalkboard and Moon started to write the whispering spell down. Harmony could tell that everyone was too afraid to say the words out loud. Especially the adults from her timeline. Harmony looked at the words in a bit of awe. So simple yet so dangerous.
Break the bond
Tear the fabric
Cleave the stone.
Stop the Magic
"So where do we go from here?" Moon asked stepping away from the board.
"Oh," Star walked up to the board and erased the word, Stop. "Since we're creating magic we're not stopping it but starting it."
Everyone nodded in agreement. They were also quick to replace Break with Make and Tear with Sew. What stumped them was Cleave. Harmony had heard of that word before she was almost certain it meant to break. Everyone was debating words like find and summon. But none of them seemed right to Harmony. None of them delt with forming magic.
"Form!" Harmony said running over to the board. She erased Cleave and replaced it with her own. "We're going to create magic aka form magic. If the stone is apart of the magic then it has to be formed as well."
"That works!" Star said after mumbling the words to herself. "Looks like we have our spell."
"Great let's cast it!" Harmony said holding out her wand.
"We can't cast it here," Queen Moon said placing a hand on her shoulder. "To do this spell right, we have to go to The Realm of Magic."
