Marinette knew this, of course, she had seen it herself: Paris flooded, building snapped in half, her and hawkmoth cataclysmed under the Ifel tower and her kitty going insane with nobody to talk to all the while he is Akumatise with noway for the Akuma to be released.

she flipped open her yo-yo and tried to dial her partner's number in hopes to get him to stop and meet her somewhere they could talk, but it was no luck he was ignoring her call 'this must be really bad if he's not answering my call' she thought to her self.
She closed up her yoyo and used it to swing around Paris, she knew she had seen him go this way yet where was he so she continued on her search going from the usual meeting spot to the bridge until she decided to check the top of the Eiffel tower 'if he's not there at least I will have a high vantage spot' she thought to herself. She saw him about to leap off from the tower so she swung around to catch up to him. "Chat".

Chat noir spireled, that was when he got the phone call from ladybug 'great now shes calling, i can't right now ma lady busy' he thought as he ignored the phone call and pole-vaulted to the next roof and continued to hate his ignorance while also thinking about all the other people in his life who could have also been able to stop hawkmoth sooner if evidence was shown or even shared.
He didn't notice how much time had past or where he was till ladybug called out his name, he turned on his feet and looked at ladybug, her hurt expression eyes looking into his sorrowful green eyes.
