I made sure to wake up super early that morning to get ready for the Carnival.

I went through countless outfits, turning my room upside down until I could find the right one.

I finally settled on a Teal dress with black spaghetti straps, with golden moon and sun designs.

Happy with my outfit, I rushed Into the bathroom to brush my teeth and to brush my hair. But as I did I actually got the brush tangled up in my hair, and when I tried to pull it out it really hurt!

"Jenna, baby girl what are you doing?" My mom asked as she came into the bathroom.

"...I was trying to make my hair look pretty mommy" I said looking down and feeling really stupid.

Mom giggled and managed to get the brush out with out hurting me.

"Here, let me help you look pretty. But tell mommy why you want to look so nice today." She said as she picked up a yellow hair tie and put my hair up in a pony tail.

"...My...friend invited me to go to the Carnival today" I said getting super nervous. I hadn't told mom about Arthur yet and I was worried about what she would say.

"Oh yeah? Well that's very nice, who's your friend?' she asked.

"..His name is Arthur, he's really nice. He stood up to some big kids who picked on me at the park the other day.'

Mom didn't get upset like I expected her too, but she also didn't look happy either.

"Well mommy has to work her double shift today at the grocery store. Maybe later on when you and Arthur leave the Carnival you both can stop by the store and I can meet him."

I happily agreed and gave my mom a big hug.

Soon enough she had to leave to go to work.

I decided to keep myself occupied by fixing myself a bowl of lucky charms and watching more cartoons.

After what felt like forever, I finally heard a knock on the door.

I quickly jumped off the couch and ran to open it.

Once I saw Arthur I threw myself into his arms and hugged him.

"Hi little sister' he said making me smile.

"Hi..big brother' I said blushing and giggling.

"You ready to go?' he asked.

"Yeah, let's go!" I said taking his hand and running with him out of the building.

To get there faster, Arthur payed for both of us to take the subway.

We both sat there joking around and making eachother laugh as the rickety train made it's way through the city.

"You feeling better today Jenna? You were so sad yesterday.'

I shrugged, "I'm just trying to forget everything that happened. And just be happy that I have you and my mom like you said."

Arthur nodded and put an arm around me to comfort me.

"Hey, why did the cookie go to the doctor?' he asked.

"Huh? Why?' I asked.

"Because it felt crummy" he said making us both giggle..but he giggled way harder than I did.

So hard that people around us actually stared staring and giving us ugly looks.

"Arthur? Are you okay?' I asked getting somewhat scared.

He put a hand over his mouth to stop himself from laughing. And when he finally did he looked down at his feet and looked really sad.

"..I'm sorry jenna...I didn't mean to.'

"What happened?' I asked feeling really confused.

"I...I have this problem, where I can't control when I laugh..my mom says it's a disorder...Do you still want to be my friend?' he asked.

I took his hand in mine and kissed his cheek.

"Of course I do, you're my big brother remember.'

Arthur smiled at me and soon the two of us got off the subway.

"Look Arthur! I can see the Farris wheel from here!' I said as we walked to the entrance of the Carnival.

We walked hand in hand, and my heart pounded with excitement as we walked towards the rides.

But little did I know that this fun night was not going to end the way I wanted it too..
