I was sound asleep but a knock on my door made my eyes burst open.

"Coming!" I said trying to be loud but I was still half asleep.

Unlocking the door I was suprised to see Arthur standing there. He was smiling, and wearing a brown jacket and blue Jeans.

"Morning Sis" he said.

"Oh hey! I'm sorry, I just woke up" I said feeling completely embarrassed.

My pajamas were wrinkled, the side of my top was pulled down over my shoulder and my bra strap was showing. And no doubt that my hair was a frizzy mess at this point.

"It"s okay, it's early but I just wanted to say Hi to you before I left for work. And to make sure were still on for coffee later" he said in a shy voice.

"Yeah we are, just come pick me up when you get out of work" I said with a smile.

"Okay, see you later" he said before walking away.

Shutting the door I looked over at the clock. It was already 12:30 am.

"Damn! I really slept in!" I said quickly running into the bathroom to get ready for the day.

After taking a shower, blow drying my hair and straightening it. I went into my bedroom and struggled with choosing what to wear. Also it didnt help that half of my clothes weren't unpacked either.

So after digging in several boxes, I was able to put together an outfit. That consisted of a really cute navy blue dress with pink floral designs, black flats and a small jean jacket. To add some accessories, I put on some pink rose earrings with diamonds in the middle. And a matching diamond bracelet. Not really sure what to do with my hair, I picked it all up and pulled it back into a high ponytail.

And ofcourse every girl needs some makeup. So I just settled for mascara, eyeliner, blush, and clear lipgloss.

Happy with my look, I looked over at the clock and saw that I had a good two hours before I was supposed to go out.

So to pass time, I unpacked more boxes and tried to straighten out my apartment.

When I was done, I took out my new guitar from my case and let my fingers do their magic. I began to strum slowly until I finally found a melody I liked.

"Okay I have the melody, but how am I going to come up with the words?"

I did my best to come up with whatever came to my mind. But so far my mind was drawing a blank, and it was annoying the hell out of me. Putting my guitar down, I grabbed my pillow and screamed as loud as I could Into it. But I guess the pillow didnt muffle my scream to well, because the next thing I knew someone was knocking on my door.

Getting up, I quickly walked over to the door and opened it.

I couldn't believe who I was seeing.

Mrs. Fleck, she had gotten much older, her hair was still red and she still dressed in soft colors. She stood there with her arms crossed and an annoyed look on her face.

"What is going on in here young lady? You woke me up from my afternoon nap" she said crossly.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Mrs. Fleck" I said with a stupid embarrased look on my face.

Her mouth hung open in shock, "How do you know my name? Who are you?' She asked.

"Oh I'm sorry. I'm not sure if you remember me but my name is Emma, Emma Davis. Your son Arthur and I used to play together when we were kids' I said hopeing she'd remember.

"...Oh..my..goodness! Look at you, so beautiful and grown up.No wonder I didnt recognize you dear' she said before giving me a hug.

I felt somewhat akward, but did my best to hug her back.

"Dose Arthur know your here?" she asked.

"Yes ma'am, I ran into him a few times" I said not sure if I should mention the fact that we were going out together later.

"Well I'm sure he was happy to see you, don't be a stranger dearest, come and visit us whenever you like. And please try to keep the noise down for a bit okay?"

"Yes ma'am, nice to see you again."

With that said, Mrs. Fleck walked away, leaving me to just relax and wait for Arthur to come pick me up.

(Later)

A knock on my door nearly made my heart jump out of my chest.

"Why are you so nervous? It's just your best friend!"

With a sigh I opened the door and smiled when I saw Arthur.

"Hey Emma" he said before holding up a small bouquet of pink roses.

"Aww Arthur that's so sweet of you thanks" I said taking the Flowers and giving him a hug afterwards.

"You're welcome, I thought they would put a smile on your face.

I blushed and quickly put away the flowers and grabbed Francesca before walking with him out of the building.

"You look beautiful' he said in a shy voice.

"Thanks, I try my best" I said feeling completely stupid.

The rest of the walk was silent until we came to a cute little coffee cafe.

We sat in a booth and ordered two cups of coffee.

"So, what made you become a clown?' I asked braking the silence.

"Well I know it's not the most glamorous job in the world, but I enjoy making people laugh. I dont want to be a clown forever, some day I'm gonna be the best comedian this city has ever seen."

"And I'll be right there sitting in the front row, laughing my ass off" I said with a smirk.

He let out a small giggle but tried to hide it with his hand.

"Atleast you have a job, I'm not sure what I'm going to do to make money" I said stirring my coffee with my spoon.

"Did you work back when you were living with your aunt?" he asked.

"I wanted too, but after she had my cousins she needed someone to watch them. So she payed me to babysit."

"Well thats nice of her, what did she have boys or girls?" Arthur asked taking a sip of coffee.

"Two little boys" I said before reaching into Francesca and pulling out my wallet. Inside of it was a small picture of me Holding both Joshua and Jax in my arms.

"Aww they are so cute, you look so happy' Arthur said looking at the picture.

"Yeah they are, but they can be a handful" I said with a giggle.

"You ever want to have kids?' he asked nearly making me choke on my coffee.

"Umm..I never really thought about it. But yeah I guess so, if I ever find the right guy to settle down with.'

"So no guy has came along and tried to make you his?' Arthur said with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes at him, "Please, I didnt have time for dating. No guy wants to date a girl who was still coping with the death of her mom, and the major daddy issues she has with her dad.'

"So I'm guessing you and your dad never patched things up after that day?' Arthur said looking sad.

"Nope, I have nothing left to say to him. As far as I'm concerned he's not my father. He's just Maury Franklin big hot shot TV show host who never cared for his daughter."

Once I said that, Arthur looked at me like I had glass sticking out of my face.

"What?" I asked feeling uncomfortable.

"Your Dad..Is THE Maury Franklin?!" he asked.

"Oh..your a fan of his?" I said with a straight face.

"Well..yeah. Me and my mom watch his show alot. I had no idea he was your father" he said looking somewhat guilty.

"Don't sweat it Arthur, you can like whoever you want. Just no that he's not who he claims to be."
