Back on Velo's mothership, final preparations are being made for the invasion on earth. In Velo's research and development department, as more mutant food is being prepared to be loaded into vessels, which will then be taken down to the launch bay, Geary happily parades into the room, as he has now been fully weaponized for the invasion. The vacuum cleaner hose he keeps in his chest hatch has been swapped out for a giant laser cannon, his eyes can now fire lasers, he can shoot out his hands like rocket projectiles, and thrusters have been installed in his feet, granting him the gift of flight.
"WOOOO-WEEE!" Geary cheers in excitement, getting the attention of all the Ratnicians, Doom Monkeys, Slap-E's and Znus in the R&D department. "I am LOVINGthis new and improved me! I mean, would you all just look at this amazing tech! Arm cannons, lasers, and the best part, the gift of flight! Watch!"
As Geary activates his thrusters and happily flies around the R&D department in excitement, being careful not to hit anything, Oxide, Pinstripe, Tawna and the Nitro Squad all enter the room, with Zam and Zem quietly following them from behind. Oxide is wearing a purple space warrior suit with gold accents and a green visor, which comes with a ray gun all for himself. Pinstripe, likewise, is wearing a space general's outfit, with a black vest, dark gray pants, an eyepatch over his left eye, a pipe, and a black general hat.
Tawna, Ami and Liz all look on in disgust as Geary continues to fly about the R&D department, showing off his thrusters. Isabella, on the other hand, doesn't even pay any attention to Geary, as she constantly hangs her head down, looking at the floor below her whilst teary-eyed and sniffling, knowing that she will never get to see her loving daughter figure, Coco, ever again.
As Oxide approaches Zam and Zem, he tells them, "Well, I hope you two won't let me down once we get this invasion started. I'm still not pleased with the two of you failing to do away with Crash and the others."
"But, Oxide, they overpowered us and kidnapped us, honest!" Zem lies to Oxide with one hand behind his back, which is giving a thumbs up to Megumi, prompting a smile from her, knowing that Zam and Zem are still on their side.
"Whatever you say, you clowns." Oxide sighs, before continuing in a threatening voice, "But just so the two of you know, if for whatever reason Crash and the others somehow manage to thwart our invasion, you two will be in for an entire galaxy of trouble! Do I make myself clear?"
Seeing that Oxide is dead serious about his threat, Zam and Zem gulp in fear, with Zem nervously replying, "Y-Yes, sir."
"Good." Oxide sternly says, before Geary lands behind Oxide, getting his attention and startling him.
"Oxide, I can not begin to thank you enough for giving me all these amazing weapons to dispatch anyone who so much as looks at me funny!" Geary happily exclaims while unknowingly pointing one of his rocket hands directly at Oxide's face. "Have you all seen what these bad boys can do? Huh, huh?"
"Yes, Geary." Oxide replies in annoyance. "We can see your new toys, now please don't point them at us! You might put an eye out, for God's sake!"
As Geary continues to prance about the R&D department showing off his new tech to the other henchmen in the room, Pinstripe approaches Tawna and tells her, "Ah, isn't this grand, Tawna? You get to spend the remainder of your days with your new space husband, me!"
Tawna lets out a forced chuckle as Oxide walks past her and the Squad while Isabella sits down at a nearby desk. Once Oxide's out of earshot, Tawna grabs Pinstripe by the tie, pulls him in close and growls at him through clinched teeth, "Now you listen here, rat! Just because we're being forced to betray our friends and work for Velo does NOT mean I will change how I feel about you! I still hate you with every fiber of my being, and need I remind you as well that my restraining order against you is still in effect!"
"Not anymore it isn't." Pinstripe smugly tells Tawna as he removes his tie and steps back from Tawna. "I ripped it to shreds not long after I got it."
"What?!" Tawna exclaims in anger and annoyance.
"And just so you know, Tawna, my pretty, no restraining order's gonna keep you from being my one and only." Pinstripe tells her in a rather threatening manner. "I'll see to it that you will have no choice but to marry a high-class gentleman like me once we're done with this invasion whether you want to or not."
"No, Pinstripe!" Tawna roars. "That will NEVERhappen! I hate you and I always will!"
"Yeah!" Ami shouts, backing up Tawna. "Do you even know what chivalry is, you monster?"
"Silence, you filthy fleabag!" Pinstripe snaps at Ami, before turning back to Tawna and continuing, "Well, I know Velo said he would spare that orange pest and his friends from mutation, but maybe I might just mutate that immature orange furball for the fun of it, to teach youse a lesson of who you should be spending the rest of your days with, should you continue to trash talk me and reject my proposals. Think about that, Tawna, my soon-to-be bride."
As Pinstripe walks away, Tawna stands there, breathing heavily with clinched fists as she growls, "I swear, that rat REALLY boils my blood!"
"Well, don't worry, Tawna." Liz reassures her while trying to calm her down. "Even though that Velo maggot forced us to betray our friends, he will do his very best to keep Pinstripe in line. After all, he did promise us that Crash and the others wouldn't get hurt."
"I don't know, Liz." Tawna says with some concern. "I mean, if I know Pinstripe, he will—"
However, before Tawna can continue, Geary grabs her by the hand and happily dances around with her briefly, still excited about his new, upgraded weaponry.
"Oh, I am so happy! So very, very happy!" Geary exclaims before starting to sing. "With these new weapons, my life will not be sappy!"
"Jeez, calm down, Geary!" Oxide exclaims. "It's just some weapons, geez louise!"
"Calm down? Me, calm down?" Geary exclaims as he lets go of Tawna and approaches Oxide. "How can I calm down? This is the best thing that has ever happened to me! No longer will I be a meek, timid OCD freak! I am now tough, threatening, intimidating!"
Oxide then sighs and, as he turns to supervise the loading of the mutant food vessels, says, "Whatever you say, Geary."
"I swear, nothing, and I mean nothing, can break me from my excitement!" Geary laughs. "Nothing!"
Suddenly, Geary hears faint sobbing from behind him, getting his attention as his eyes switch back to their normal green color. He turns around and lightly gasps in surprise as he sees Isabella sobbing to herself, knowing that she will never get to see Coco again while Megumi comforts her.
"Isabella? What's wrong?" Geary asks in concern as he attempts to approach her. "Are you okay?"
"Hey! Get lost, robot!" Tawna shouts as she, Ami and Liz block his path.
"Easy, ladies." Geary tells them. "Don't get your pants in a square knot. I just asked Isabella here what's wrong."
"You should know darn well what's wrong, robot!" Isabella shouts, still sobbing. "You forced me to part ways with my dear, sweet daughter figure, Coco!"
"I forced you to... Wha...? What are you talking about?" Geary asks in extreme confusion, getting Megumi's attention.
"Oh, don't play dumb with us, you heap of scrap metal!" Ami roars as Megumi looks on. "First, you and that no-good rat nuke the earth and try to kill us on multiple occasions, and now you left us with no choice but to say goodbye to our friends who will most likely be mutated when Velo launches his invasion, which by the way we never got to stop, because of you!"
"I did what to the earth?" Geary exclaims in surprise. "Why would I ever want to nuke the earth?!"
Finally, Megumi's curiosity reaches its peaking point as Geary continues to protest, "And I would never bring harm to a living being, honest! True, I may see myself as superior to other earthlings, but I could never hurt, let alone kill one! The only thing I want to kill is germs!"
"Baloney!" Liz exclaims in anger. "I'd say you're most likely referring to US as germs!"
"Wait a second." Megumi says to the girls as she squeezes past them and approaches Geary. "Girls, let me handle this."
She then turns to Geary and asks, "So, let me see if I understand here. So you're saying you have no memory of events that happened over the past month?"
"Yes, Megumi. Honest!" Geary tells her. "Why won't your friends listen to me?"
"Because you're a menace, that's why!" Tawna shouts.
"Girls, please." Megumi calmly says to the girls before turning back to Geary and asking, "So, nuking the earth, forcing Brio to create Megamix, breaking Coco's legs, helping Pinstripe steal food from Toxic Burger and Nuclear Pizza... none of that rings a bell to you? Not at all?"
"Yes, that is correct—" Geary replies before he stops upon hearing Megumi tell him about the food that he stole. "Wait. I did what?! I stole food from Nuclear Pizza?! I could never in my life do that! I'm one of their most loyal customers and also perform routine sanitation inspections for them and Toxic Burger!"
Hearing what she needed to hear from Geary, Megumi turns to the rest of the girls and tells them, "Girls, I think he's telling the truth."
Processing the information heard from Megumi's conversation with Geary, Tawna's face lights up as she slowly realizes what's happened to Geary, saying, "Wait a second. He helped Pinstripe do all these heinous acts, and yet he has no memory of it? Girls, you don't suppose that Pinstripe might've—"
However, before Tawna can continue to wonder to herself about Geary's condition, Pinstripe violently grabs her by the forearm, spins her around and places a small mind control chip on her neck, getting the attention of Geary and the Nitro Squad as they watch Tawna collapse to the ground, wincing in extreme pain as her mind control chip activates.
"Tawna, no!" Isabella cries out as Pinstripe storms up to her, grabs her by the forearm and places a mind control chip on her neck. Megumi watches in fear and shock as Isabella winces and cringes in pain as the chip activates.
"Megumi, run!" Ami cries out as Pinstripe grabs ahold of her and Liz and places mind control chips on their necks, causing them to wince in pain as the chips activate.
In a panic, Megumi, whimpering as she spots Pinstripe storming up to her with one last mind control chip on his person, looks around and spots an open door leading out of the R&D department. She attempts to make a break for it, before Pinstripe pulls out a leather sap and whacks Megumi across the back of the head, causing her to cry out in pain and collapse to the ground as Zam, Zem and even Geary gasp in horror.
The force of the blow to Megumi's head is so strong that she can barely move a muscle, as she just lays there, crying in pain with tears rolling down her face as Pinstripe places the last mind control chip on her neck. As Megumi winces in pain while the chip activates, Geary stands there and watches with a look of uncertainty and disgust on his face, knowing that Pinstripe really crossed the line this time, bringing harm to someone as kind and innocent as Megumi.
"Hey! What are you staring at, Geary?" Pinstripe exclaims as he walks up to Geary and slaps him upside the head. "You weren't thinking about backing out of this invasion, were you?"
The slap on the head once again switches Geary's eye color back to red as he tells Pinstripe, "No, sir! I'm ready to head down to earth and mutate everyone so we can get our legendary skins!"
"Good." Pinstripe sternly says. "That's what I thought."
"Hey!" Oxide angrily exclaims as he storms up to Pinstripe, having witnessed his violent method of placing mind control chips on Tawna and the Nitro Squad. "That was uncalled for, you sexist pig! We have much simpler, non-violent ways of getting them to follow orders!"
"Simple for you, maybe, but I play by my own rules." Pinstripe tells Oxide, brushing off his annoyance. "The only way you can get these stubborn dames to follow orders is to use brute force, especially one who constantly refuses to be my bride and rebuffs my advances."
"Why, you little..." Oxide growls, wanting to attack him for his sexist remark.
Suddenly, before their argument can escalate any further, they hear Velo's voice calling out, "Hey! What's going on in there?" getting their attention.
The two of them, and Geary, turn to spot Velo, dressed up in a pirate captain's outfit, with a red jacket and hat, red and white striped pants, a mechanical arm which can turn into an arm cannon and a large metal lighter stick which he can use to light said arm cannon, entering the R&D department and approaching Pinstripe and Oxide, having overheard their squabble.
"What was all that commotion I just overheard?" Velo sternly asks.
"Uh, nothin', Big V." Pinstripe says before Velo glances over at Tawna and the Nitro Squad slowly starting to get up from off the floor. "Me and Oxide here were just discussing—"
"Ah, there's my new space pirate crew!" Velo exclaims, interrupting Pinstripe as he approaches Tawna and the Nitro Squad, who get up from off the ground and approach Velo in their new brainwashed state, with sinister yellow eyes and red spirals replacing their regular pupils.
"So, are you ladies ready to serve your new captain and help me enslave earth?" Velo asks, prompting a look of annoyance from Pinstripe.
"Yes, sir." Tawna and the girls reply with robotic-like monotone voices. "We are ready to serve you."
Noticing their brainwashed pupils, Velo turns to Pinstripe and asks, "Wait, Pinstripe, is this what all that commotion was about? You brainwashed them?"
"Yes, sir, I did!" Pinstripe replies. "I figured that since I couldn't make them willingly follow orders, then maybe brainwashing them would get them to comply."
"Well... that's not a bad idea, Pinstripe, but just remember, I call the shots around here, not you." Velo tells him. "In the meantime, before you and Geary go steal some more food, why don't the two of you do a final lookover of this list I prepared of people who could possibly serve me once we invade earth?"
Pinstripe sighs in annoyance as Geary takes the clipboard from Velo's hand and says, "Fine."
As he and Geary start to look over each name on the list one by one, one particular name on the list catches the attention of Pinstripe.
"Wait a second, Velo. Why is that Yaya brat on your list of people to spare?" Pinstripe asks, turning to Velo. "What if she could somehow undo all the hard work we put in?"
"Pfft. Not to worry, Pinstripe." Velo scoffs, brushing off Pinstripe's concerns. "Yes, I will spare her from the horrors of mutation; even I can't find it in my cybernetic heart to hurt or mutate someone that adorable, though maybe I could use her to entertain my loyal subjects. We haven't had a good comedy act in quite some time."
"Hmm. If it was me, I would've killed her." Pinstripe mumbles to himself, prompting looks of disgust from both Velo and Oxide, the latter of whom storms up to Pinstripe.
"What's gotten into you lately, rat?" Oxide sternly asks Pinstripe. "You're acting every bit as stubborn and thick-headed as my ex-wife!"
"Huh. Didn't know you were married, Oxide. And quite frankly, I don't care." Pinstripe tells Oxide as he pulls out his tommy gun and grabs a laser blaster from a nearby desk. "Though since you're right here, would you and your gross underlings mind bringing some of those burgers over here? I want to get these arms weaponized!"
Oxide, not wanting to grant Pinstripe his request because of his recent behavior, groans in annoyance and reluctantly tells him, "Fine. Zem, would you please get over here?"
Once Zem approaches Pinstripe with a look of doubt on his face, Oxide hands him a couple of burgers from Toxic Burger, while Oxide grabs a couple himself. Oxide gets on Pinstripe's right side while Zem gets on Pinstripe's left. The two of them reluctantly squeeze the juice from the burgers onto Pinstripe's arms, causing them to mutate into robotic, fully weaponized arms. Pinstripe's left arm has been turned into an arm cannon, like the one Velo has on his right arm, while his right arm now has a laser cannon atop it.
"Oh-ho, yeah! Now we're talking! I'll teach everyone who ever wronged me a lesson!" Pinstripe exclaims, before turning to Tawna and asking, "Am I right, Tawna, my sweet?"
"Why, yes, you are, Pinstripe, hun." Tawna says in her robotic-like monotone voice as she wraps her arms around Pinstripe, who chuckles sinisterly.
As Zem returns to Zam's side, he whimpers to him, "Oh, what have I done, Zam? This cannot end well."
"Man, this advanced mind control chip I gave Tawna is working like a charm. Right, Geary?" Pinstripe says, only to not get a response from Geary. "Geary?"
Pinstripe turns and sees Geary looking at another document attached to the clipboard Velo gave him. "Oh, dear..." Geary moans.
"What's gotten into you., Geary?" Pinstripe asks.
"Uh, Velo...?" Geary asks, getting Velo's attention.
"Yes, Geary, what is it?" Velo asks, turning to face Geary, who hands him the clipboard.
"Uh... it's about your soon-to-be bride, Ami." Geary nervously says as Velo takes the clipboard. "Did you know anything about these results from her medical exam a few hours ago?"
As Velo looks over the diagnosis, his face lights up with what he sees, prompting him to say, "Oh, my. Oh, dear. I... was not expecting to learn about that."
As Velo hands the clipboard back to Geary, he takes Ami by the hand, pulls her in close and tells Geary, "Well, just to be safe, I'm going to keep her by my side for the entirety of this invasion. Don't want her to get hurt, especially when she's carrying precious, fragile cargo."
"Wait. Is she carrying a bomb?!" Oxide exclaims in fear, drawing his ray gun and pointing it at Ami. "Traitor! Have her executed!"
"No, Oxide." Geary tells him. "It's not a bomb. It's... something else."
"Well, if it's not a bomb, then what is it?" Oxide asks.
"I'd... rather not tell you now." Geary replies.
"Well, alright." Oxide says as he puts his ray gun back into his holster.
As Velo regains his composure after learning whatever Ami's medical diagnosis read, he addresses everyone in the R&D department and exclaims, "Well, enough small talk. Everyone, let's get this invasion underway!"
"Oh, now you're talking, Big V!" Pinstripe exclaims as he motions everyone to follow him and Velo out of the room and to the launch bay.
"This invasion is going to be one that earth will not soon forget any time soon!" Velo exclaims as everyone leaves the R&D department. "And this time, no one, not one single soul is going to stop me!" Velo then divulges into evil laughter as Zam and Zem, with looks of fear on their faces, close the door the the R&D department behind them.
