"Here are the keys," Weiss said as she handed a set of keys to her old apartment to Whitley. "You know the rest, right?"
"Of course, dear sister," Whitley replied as he smiled and opened the door to his new apartment. "Now, when's the next BF-CFR class?"
"That will be in January of 2022," Weiss replied as she walked in as well. "I'll get you all signed up for it once the notice comes out in about a week, Whitley." She then felt her phone ring. As she grabbed it from her pocket, she answered, "Hello?"
Yang was on the other end, "Hey, Weiss."
"How's it going, Yang?" As Whitley continued to inspect his apartment in the background, Weiss looked out towards the hallway.
"My mom is still lonely as hell," Yang replied. "I mean, I can't blame her because of... You know..."
"I can relate," Weiss replied as she thought about her father, her uncle, and her sister, as well as the 12 others Vigilant lost due to the attacks. "It's a lot quieter without those 15 firemen we lost around."
"You can say that again," Yang replied.
Meanwhile, a White Fang spokesman with a fox's tail prepared himself to make an announcement on a livestream to the Internet. As he checked over his script in a safehouse in eastern Menagerie, a woman with wolf ears, presumably the man's wife, said to him in Menagerian, "Are you ready, dear?"
"Of course," he replied back in Menagerian before giving the woman a quick kiss. "I'm all set."
She then went back behind the camera as the cameraman said in Valeanian, "We will be rolling in 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1..."
Then, the spokesman began his speech with, "Good afternoon, Remnant. I am a spokesman for the White Fang, the organization that will liberate faunus from the clutches of human supremacy. Now, for the past several weeks, there has been speculation by our enemies that we have been responsible for the brave acts of self-defense in Vale and Mistral on August 23, 2021. Well, let me be the first to confirm that indeed, we were responsible for hacking into those 5 planes and flying them into those evil buildings that represented human supremacy, as well as for the simultaneous acts of self-defense in the false illegitimate nation of the Menagerian Republic, who was targeted for continuing to be the prostitute of humanity as well as of race traitors. We are certainly very impressed by the results of the attacks, which exceeded even our expectations." He then cleared his throat. "Now, we have heard that over 2,000 firefighters and police officers have died in these attacks, and we are overjoyed to hear this. For far too long, cops have oppressed faunus, and firemen have aided cops in their oppression. To make matters worse for us, many race traitors who do not even deserve to call themselves faunus have decided to become cops and firemen. They murder us, so we must murder them. The only good cop is a dead cop, and the only good firefighter is a dead firefighter, and at the end of the day, we need to commit ourselves to making sure more "good" cops and "good" firefighters come about through acts of self-defense."
The cameraman gave him a thumbs-up as a signal that the livestream was going well.
"Now," the spokesman continued. "Our war in the false state of Menagerie is going well. Over half of the country is under our control as we purge the race traitors and humans from these recently-liberated areas. Soon, we will rule over all of Remnant, and all of humanity and the race traitors that support them will be thoroughly and brutally exterminated to ensure the full and complete liberation of faunuskind from the clutches of evil, suffering, pain, genocide, and discrimination at the hands of humanity with the backing of so-called "equality" groups that wish to perpetuate a fantasy that humanity and faunuskind can ever live in peace. Already, we are proving that they are wrong, and they will get the bullet, too. That is all."
Then, the transmission ended. The cameraman said to him, "Great work."
"Same to you," replied the spokesman.
Suddenly, they all turned their heads to the ceiling as they heard an odd buzzing sound above. An assistant said, "What's that?"
"Oh fuck," said the spokesman, just realizing what the noise was. "It's a-"
Then, he was cut off by a sudden explosion that wiped out the entire building, killing all inside. As it turned out, the building had been hit with an air-to-ground missile from a Royal Valeanian Air Force ground attack aircraft as part of a strike on the compound.
Above, in the skies, the pilot aboard the aircraft said through the radio, "The target is KIA. The target is KIA, over." He then gave a thumbs up as he smiled.
His wing commander, a female in another aircraft nearby, replied, "Roger. Head back to home base, over."
At around 11:22 P.M., a fire call came in for Vigilant for a car accident with possible fire. Also on the assignment was Goodwill Hose Company 6.
Yang and George immediately awoke from their bed after George's pager went off and Vigilant's siren roared up. Yang immediately grabbed the keys to her motorbike and threw them to George, telling him, "Take Bumblebee to your station."
"Got it," George replied before he gave Yang a quick kiss. They then both ran out of their apartment. As they ran out onto the street, Ambulance 201 left the station first.
Within 2 and a half minutes, Yang ran into the station as George sped away on Bumblebee towards Goodwill's station. She immediately asked to several other firefighters, "You got a driver for the rescue?"
"Grab your gear and get in the driver's seat," replied Captain Ling Hua Yi as she put her gear on.
"Got it," Yang replied as she ran to her gear locker, grabbed her gear, and carried it to the rescue. She then opened the front cab door behind the driver's seat and threw her boots, her helmet, her coat, and her mask into the cab as several other firefighters moved it out of the way. She then jumped into the driver's seat and started the rescue up. "Is the truck full?"
"Not yet," said Yi as several other firefighters then boarded. "The engine is gonna go first, then us, then the ladder truck." Then, Whitley boarded. "Hey there, probie!"
"Hi," Whitely said as he took a seat. "How are you all doing?"
"Not bad," Yang said. "The pregnancy is 11 weeks along. The morning sickness is slowing down a lot. Apparently, I was actually 5 weeks pregnant when the attacks occurred, so there's something new."
"Alright," Yi said. "The engine's leaving." Engine 201 then left as two more firefighters hopped onto the rescue. "We should be full in another minute or minute and a half." Another firefighters then ran into the building next to the rescue.
"Car 5 to Vigilant Station," called Weiss over the Operations frequency.
Yi radioed back, "Rescue 201, go ahead."
"How are you coming along on that rescue rig?"
"We'll be rolling in about 10 seconds." Yi then turned to Yang, "It doesn't sound good."
Then, a firefighter from the back yelled, "We got all seats filled!"
"Got it," Yi replied.
Yang then said, "Let's go!" She then drove out of the station and turned onto the street as Yi flipped on the lights and put the mechanical siren pedal to the floor.
"Rescue 201's en route!"
"10-4," a dispatcher replied over the radio.
As they raced through the streets, Yi continued to extensively use the mechanical siren as Yang blasted through intersections with the rescue's air horns. At one intersection, an ignorant motorist didn't move out of the way for the rescue, so Yang grabbed the PA microphone from the electronic siren and yelled, "C'mon, move the car, stupid!" The motorist quickly moved out of the way in response as the rescue drove through the intersection.
When they got there, several firefighters from Engine 201's crew were still attacking the fire from the burning car with their masks on due to having to attack the fire against the direction of the smoke due to traffic while Ambulance 201's crew and Engine 202's crew used Speedy-Dry and cat litter to soak up leaking gasoline.
Several firefighters immediately pulled a set of cutters and a set of spreaders while Yang pulled a rip cord to start up the gas engine that powered the Jaws of Life aboard Rescue 201.
Weiss walked over to them and pointed out the second car involved in the wreck, saying, "They just need the door popped, nothing too crazy."
"You got it," Yang replied as she picked up the spreaders and handed them off to two firefighters. As she did, a gust of wind blew some of the smoke from the burning car towards them, so Yang ducked out of the way as it clouded her vision. "Damn smoke!"

Sun visited Blake in the hospital around noon. As he walked into her room, he said to his girlfriend, "Hey there. How have you been?"
"Not good, so far," Blake replied to Sun. "I had a shitty day, Sun." She then yawned.
Sun sat down on the hospital bed beside her and asked, "Tell me what happened." He looked concerned.
"Sun," Blake told him as she held his hand. "The doctors don't know if I will be able to have children due to injuries I sustained." Tears began to fall from her eyes. "They're... They're still trying to figure it out, but they told me to not get my hopes up. I shattered my pelvis and suffered trauma to my uterus and the same area Adam stabbed me in, as well as an ovary that his sword grazed." She then cried. "Sun... I'm so sorry..."
Sun, shocked by the possible news, immediately tried to comfort her. "Blake, Blake, please. Stop crying. It's not your fault." Sun himself began to cry as he hugged Blake. "That doesn't matter. Blake..."
"Sun," Blake said to him. "I... You won't... You won't leave, right?"
Sun then said to her, surprised, "What? No! I'd never leave you! I don't care if you can't have children. That doesn't matter." He then gave Blake a kiss. "We can adopt or something, if... You know, you ever wanted to go that far."
"Thank you," Blake told him. "Thank you, so much..." She then began to smile again as she wiped away tears. "So, how was your day?"
"Not too exciting," Sun replied as he wiped his eyes. "Just did some shopping for the new place. I can't wait for you to come see it, Blake. It's really nice."
"Me too," Blake replied as she chuckled. She then pulled Sun in for a kiss. As the two continued to embrace, they felt as if there was nobody else in the whole world but them. It was as if they were all alone, and nobody could bother them, and it felt amazing for both of them.
Then, they split. Sun then asked, "Want me to get you anything?"
"Sure," Blake replied. "The ice cream here is amazing. I would say it's to die for, but, you know, that wouldn't be exactly appropriate to say in a hospital." The two then laughed. "Eh, fuck that PC shit. The ice cream is to die for here."
Meanwhile, Ruby was at the Royal Palace in a dressing room. There, she was being fitted for a custom-made wedding dress. As her tailor continued to grab supplies, she said to her, "You know, I always knew that when I was gonna get married, I'd wear a dress, but I never expected to wear such a complicated one." She then chuckled.
"Well," the tailor told her. "You are going to be the Queen. Why not?" They both then laughed.
"I still can't believe this is actually happening," Ruby told her tailor, a woman in her middle 30's with light blond hair. "Not just the whole "royalty" thing, but also the fact that I'm going to be marrying the man of my dreams. I know it sounds corny, but..." She then chuckled. "I love every second with him."
"Awww," the tailor replied. "That's so sweet of you. I'be heard His Majesty say so many nice things about you, too. He says he can't put into words how beautiful you are, both inside and out." She then recalled some of her own memories with her husband. "I can remember when me and my husband were in that stage. Hell, we still kind of are."
Ruby blushed and smiled. "That's so sweet of him. Of course, I already knew that." They both laughed again.
