Kitty x Erik : Wicked

The lawn was a sea of pastels. It reminded Kitty vividly of a basket of Easter candy.

Peeps in particular. Of course thinking of peeps just reminded her of that one year she consumed twelve boxes. Alone. In two days.

Sticking out her tongue at the rather gross memory, Kitty felt her face flush as the Mother of the Bride appeared out of nowhere in front of her.

The wedding was between two former students of Xavier's and they had invited everyone at the school to it.

Something Kitty had felt a little odd about, considering she once dated the groom.

And now here she was caught by the bride's mother (who seemed to dislike her for some silly reason) with her tongue sticking out like a child.

Swiftly pulling said appendage back into her mouth, Kitty gave the woman a tight smile and a quiet hello.

"Miss Pryde, how kind of you to join us today. Wasn't my Elizabeth just beautiful? Makes one wish one was her, doesn't it?"

"Ah... um..."

"And, of course dear Peter looks so handsome. Probably leaves you with feelings of regret, no?"

"No, at least if last night is any indication."

Lifting the cup of punch she had been carrying around to her lips, Kitty hastily downed it, trying not to choke herself to death as the urge to laugh grew ever stronger.

Erik, on the other hand dropped his arm around her shoulders and drawing her up against his side, continued to chat with the hapless woman before them.

He spoke of the wedding and other trivial things all while lacing little tidbits in between that made it sound like Kitty and him had been up to all manner of indecent things the night before.

By the time the woman had left (red faced and furious), Kitty was darn near in tears from the effort of not laughing as her reputation was undoubtedly on its way to being in tatters.

Turning to look up at Erik's unrepentant face, Kitty accused him in a tone as dry as the desert.

"Everyone here's going to think you have been having your wicked way with me before the day is done."

"Should I apologize?"

"Yes."

His gray-blue eyes sparkled quite wonderfully as he lifted her hand to his lips.

"My apologies, Kitten. How can I ever make it up to you?"

A slow smile spread across Kitty face as she said. "Well, you could start by giving me a properly wicked kiss."
