Hello everyone~

I hope the story isn't too slow or anything for y'all

If it is, tell me! I'll add in more to each chapter to sorta pick it up haha

Here's another chapter~

~.~

Last Time:

"So...why haven't you taken on a team?" I asked, "I've never seen you with a team of Genin."

"Didn't you ask this question already?" He asked.

"Your answer didn't satisfy me," I told him, looking into his eye as if I was searching for the answer in it.

Kakashi sighed, "...I can tell you after the day," He said, referring to the day we meet our Sensei.

"Alright," I said.

'That's it? Nag him more!' Fuzen told me.

'He said he would tell me, I trust him on that,' I told them.

'Or you could know now,' They told me.

'Or I can be patient,' I told them.

Our food was then served. The amount of food was a little intimidating. I was scared I wouldn't make a dent in it.

"Dig in," Kakashi told me with a smile.

I gave a small smile, "Okay.

We brought whatever we couldn't finish home for tomorrow.

Kakashi still made me pack up some of the desserts I made to deliver to my acquaintances.

"Why is there so much more in that one?" Kakashi asked me, "Who is it for? Is it for a boy?"

"Its for Choji," I said, "He has a bigger appetite than everyone else, so I thought he'd appreciate more."

He let out a sigh of relief, "I see."

"What are you getting worked up about?" I asked.

"Nothing really," Kakashi told me, "You need some help?"

"Oh, uh," I counted 6 boxes, "I guess."

"You sure made a lot of friends in that short amount of time," Kakashi said, looking at the cute boxes.

I had written out names for each one.

"Acquaintances," I corrected, "I know Sasuke doesn't really like sweets, so he has the stuff that has less sugar," I said, writing his name on the box, "I'm not too sure with Shikamaru, so he's getting a normal box."

"You're giving a lot of thought even though they're acquaintances," Kakashi said.

"Fr-" I paused, "I don't want to hear another word, otherwise we're stuck with more."

Kakashi chuckled, "Almost done?"

"Yup," I said, writing Sakura's name on the last one, "Let's go."

~.~

"What's this for?" Shikamaru asked when I handed him the box.

Kakashi covered my mouth, "She wanted to make stuff for her frie-"
I stomped on his foot, making him stop talking.

I removed his hand from my mouth.

"I was bored and baked too much today so Kakashi's making me give them away," I said.
"Is that so?" Shikamaru asked, taking it, "Heh, you make everything cute."

"That's just how they're suppose to look," I told him.

"Take a compliment," Shikamaru told me, "Troublesome."

"If it's so troublesome, I'll take it back," I warned.

"I'm just kidding," He told me, "Thanks," He smiled.

"You're just taking the extras, don't feel special," I told him.

"Kyoko," Kakashi said in a stern voice.

"...you're welcome," I said before leaving.

Kakashi waved bye and followed after me.

~.~

"This is..?" Choji looked inside the box.

"I made too much since I was really bored today, so I'm giving some away," I explained.

"And you're giving some to me?" Choji asked.

"I put a lot more in there than I did for the others," I told him, "I thought you'd appreciate it more."

Choji gave me a big smile.

"Thanks!" He grinned.

"You're welcome," I gave a small smile back, "Good night."

I waved as I walked away.

"Why are you so nice to Choji, but not Shikamaru?" Kakashi asked.

"Cause Shikamaru acts like a know it all," I told him, "And I can tell Choji actually appreciates it."

"Is that so?" Kakashi asked, "No other reasons?"

"Nope," I said, "Next house."

~.~

"You made so many sweets!" Ino exclaimed.

"You should've seen the kitchen," Kakashi said.

"There's no need to get into what our kitchen looked like," I said, "I made a lot, so I'm giving some away to you and the others."

"Aw, thank you!" Ino smiled, going in for a hug.

I gracefully spun out of her way and made sure she didn't fall or drop the box.

"Careful," I told her, "I have more to deliver."
"Boo, you're no fun," Ino pouted, "Thank you for the sweets!"

I nodded and walked to the next place with Kakashi.

~.~

"Eh?" Sakura questioned, taking the box, "You made so many! Is this really okay?"

"You made a lot more than you think," Kakashi told her.

"Wow!" Sakura exclaimed, "Oh no..."
"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Uh...I was thinking about going on a diet soon," She told me.

"Diet?" I questioned, "You look perfectly fine, Sakura."

"I do?" Sakura asked.

I nodded, "But if you're serious about dieting though, it doesn't hurt to eat something like this every now and again," I told her, "You can share some with your parents as well."
She smiled, "Thank you, I appreciate the gesture."

"Don't worry too much about your figure, we'll be exercising a lot with the training coming up after we graduate," I told her.

"Right," She smiled.

We said our byes and I left with Kakashi.
~.~

"What is it?" Sasuke asked.

"I know you don't really like sweets, but I made a lot of stuff today," I told him, "I gave you the ones that aren't too sweet."

"I see," He said, opening the box, "You never fail to make the presentation cute, Kiki."

"It's either I put it together like that, or it'll all be messy," I told him.

"Thanks," He smirked, "I'm flattered."

"Tch, not act like you're special, I didn't just give you stuff," I scoffed but smirked back, "Night, Sasu-kun."
We left the area and went towards our last destination.

"Sasuke made the same comment as Shikamaru," Kakashi told me.

"And?" I asked.

"You acted differently," He told me.

"I act different with other people," I told him, "I knew Sasuke when we were kids."

"You knew Shikamaru when you were kids too," Kakashi said.

"We hung out once," I told him, "I hung out with Sasuke more."

"Hmm," Kakashi hummed as we walked to Naruto's house.

~.~

"Whoa!" Naruto exclaimed, opening the box, "For me?"

"You weren't the only one getting some," I told him, "But you were on the list."

"They look so good!" Naruto smiled, "I don't know what to eat first!"
"Well, enjoy," I told him, "Have a good night."

"Good night!" Naruto waved before closing the door.

"All done," I sighed, tired from all the interactions, "Say, why did you wanna come along?"

"Would you be able to carry them all on your own?" Kakashi asked.

"I can make a clone," I told him.
"Maybe I just wanted to come along," Kakashi told me.

"A waste of your evening," I told him.

"I got to spend some time with my sister," Kakashi told me, "How is that a waste?"

"Uh..." I didn't expect that response, "Sure, whatever."

He glanced at me with his one eye.

I was suddenly lifted into the air and was placed on Kakashi's shoulders.

"K-Kakashi!" I shouted.

"You used to love it when I do this," He told me.

"When I was 6," I told him.

"You don't wanna be carried?" He asked, looking up at me.

"..." I sighed, "Warn me next time."

"I can put you down," He offered.

"I-It's okay," I told him, "...I don't mind."

~.~

I was laying in bed, today was...weird.

'Kakashi was...weird today,' I thought.

'Really now?' Fuzen said in a sarcastic tone.

'Ugh, why was he so...nice today?' I wondered, 'It has to do something with that meeting.'

'Think the Hokage ordered him to kill you?' Fuzen shrugged.

'...that's not funny,' I told it, 'There's no reason. If he really thought I was a threat, I would've died already.'

'Well, that's my guess,' Fuzen told me.

'I guess I won't find out til after we get our Sensei,' I thought.

'So, are you really not allowed to train?' Fuzen asked.

'I...I don't think he'd mind if I trained a little?' I told them, 'I want to learn more.'

'I can teach you a few things in your sleep,' Fuzen suggested.

'Really? Will I be able to practice them?' I asked.

'I can teach you the ones that you use for surveillance,' They said.

'If that's all we can do for now.'

~.~

'It's nice to see that she made some friends,' Kakashi thought as he laid in bed, 'She doesn't see it, but she's started making bonds with each of them.'

He sighed, 'I hope she does well in a team.'

~.~

I woke up the next morning quite early. I quietly got up and did my morning routine. I got dressed, grabbed my sword, and went to leave through my window. I closed my window behind me and smirked in triumph.

"Going somewhere?"

I looked up to see Kakashi.

"...uh...I just wanted to train a little bit," I told him, "No one's awake at the moment anyways! I just wanna train in the morning."

"Hmm," Kakashi thought for a moment, "How about we train together?"

"...huh?" I gave him a weird look, "We hardly train together."

"So you don't want to?"

"No, please train with me," I tugged on his arm.

He gave me a one eye smile, "Let's go then."

~.~

Kakashi brought me to the place I often train.

"So, what is it that you wanna work on?" Kakashi asked.

'I can't really work on the surveillance jutsu like this,' I thought.

"I'm not entirely sure," I told him.

"We can spar, and I can tell you what you should work on," Kakashi suggested.

I simply nodded.

"Come at me with the intention to kill," He told me.

"Okay," I said, readying my stance.

My hand was on my sword, counting myself down.

We had a moment of stares.

I immediately launched at Kakashi with my sword. He lowered his stance, ready to block with a kunai.

I disappeared before making contact and attacked from behind.

Kakashi was definitely faster than me, blocking the attack with his kunai. The sound of metal hitting metal echoed. I kept swinging my sword and he blocked every single hit.

The next time I swung, he blocked and I used that moment to try and kick him. He blocked the kick with his other hand.

"I thought I told you to come at me with the intent to kill, is this it?" Kakashi asked.

"Not quite," I said, pushing myself off his hand and into the air.

I threw some throwing weapons at him, hitting him.

But I knew he was too smart for that.

A puff of smoke, and instead of Kakashi, a log was in his place.

'Where?' I wondered, looking around.

A bunch of shurikens came flying at me. I used the substitution as well and hit in the trees.

'I didn't see where that came from,' I thought, making some hand signs, 'What better time to test this out? Time Jutsu: Sight of Present Time,' I closed my eyes, 'Kakashi.'

He was on the other side of the clearing, seeming to wait for my next move.

I opened one eye and smirked, 'I can sneak up on him.'

I was careful, concealing my chakra presence, as I swiftly moved through the trees. My right eye opened, while my left eye closed to be able to see where I was going, and to see where Kakashi was. Once I got near, I dispelled the jutsu and had plain sight of him. Before I could do anything, his head moved to face my direction, but looking past me.

I activated my Kekkei Genkai and sped up my movements. Next thing he knew, I was behind him, almost landing a kick. He blocked it with his forearm and pushed me off. I ran at him again, faster than he expected, but he was able to block and dodge my attacks. He grabbed my fist and threw me into the pond. I immediately made some hand signs while in the water and placed two fingers at my mouth.

"Water Style: Water Wave Jutsu!"

Water began to spray out of my mouth, aimed at Kakashi.

He wasn't able to completely dodge it, but it's been a while since we fought and he might have forgotten my water manipulation.

I slammed my hand on the wet grass, making the water that I sprayed onto the field into ice.

"Stop," Kakashi told me.

"...huh?" I questioned, "What's up?"

"...since when did you have that?" He asked me, coming up to me.

"Have what?" I asked.

He brushed my bangs away and I realized he meant my eye.

"I haven't seen that Kekkei Genkai before..." Kakashi told me, "When were you able to activate it?"

"Uh...quite recently?" I shrugged, "I just used it to pick up speed, I recently started...experimenting with it."

"Do you know the clan who has this?" Kakashi asked.

"If I did, wouldn't you think I would say something?" I asked back, "I don't know what clan has this."

"Maybe the Hokage might know," Kakashi thought.

"When I first saw it, I went through the library to see if I could find anything out," I told him, "I even went through the books that the Hokage had. The ones I was allowed to read, and I found nothing. So I don't think the Hokage knows where it came from."

"We should still notify the Hokage about this," Kakashi told me, "Do you know what it's called?"

"I've been calling it Jikan no Me," I told him.

"Eye of time...pretty wordy," He chuckled, "We should get cleaned up, and then go to the Hokage."

"...okay," I sighed, a little worried.

"Don't worry," Kakashi told me, "It's just a heads up for the Hokage to know. He'll probably be fascinated and intrigued about this Kekkei Genkai."

~.~

I went to change into dry clothes and dry my hair.

As I was drying my hair, Fuzen popped in with some information.

'You know the State of Matter Jutsu?' Fuzen asked.

'Huh? No?' I questioned.

'State of Matter Jutsu is a Time Jutsu. Where you can change the state of certain matters. Water, to ice, sand to glass, etc.' Fuzen informed.

'...I just do it though,' I told them.

'You activate your Kekkei Genkai when using it,' They told me.

'...that's another thing I knew before you decided to come into my life.'

I finished drying my hair, tied my hair up, and I followed Kakashi to the Hokage's Building.

~.~

"Sorry for bothering you at a busy time, but we have something important to show you," Kakashi told him.

The Hokage eyed Kakashi suspiciously for a moment before looking at me.

"What is it?" The Third asked.

I gave Kakashi a look. He returned a reassuring smile.

"I...I have a Kekkei Genkai," I told the Hokage.

"Is that so? What kind?" The Third asked.

"That's the thing," I said, "I don't know what clan it came from."

"Can you show me?" He asked.

I nodded and activated my Kekkei Genkai. My right eye changing from blue to yellow, with a roman numeral clock on it.

"I've never seen this," The Hokage told me, "Do you know how to use it?"

"I had figured that I can use it to pick up speed and to change the state of certain matter, like water into ice. I had recently started experimenting with it," I told him.

"Hmm," He looked at me.

I didn't know what to feel at the moment. Nervous? Scared? Worried? All of the above.

"Kyoko," The Third started, "What's this?" He asked, pointing at my hair tie.

"Oh, Ino gave that to me," I answered, "She insisted on me taking it."

"It's nice to see how much you've grown and the friends you've made," The Hokage said.

I was about to correct him, but Kakashi gave me a look, telling me not to say anything.

"But your Kekkei Genkai is fascinating," The Hokage said, "Kakashi, how long have you known about this?"

"Just found out today," Kakashi answered.

"You didn't tell him when you first found out about it?" The Hokage asked.

"I...I was nervous to," I admitted, "I didn't know how he would react."

"I'll look into this and see if I can find anything about this for you," The Hokage told me, "In the mean time, Kakashi, I want you to monitor her training and see if you can further activate this Kekkei Genkai."

"And Kyoko," The Hokage continued, "When you learn anything about this, tell Kakashi as soon as you can."

"So if I create a Jutsu using it, I tell him?" I asked.

"Yes," The Hokage confirmed, "We don't know anything about this as of yet, so it's good to keep tabs on the progress."

"Alright," Kakashi said.

"You are dismissed," The Hokage told us, letting us leave.

We walked down the hallway on our way out.

"It wasn't that bad, was it?" Kakashi told me.
"I was nervous," I told him.

"About what?" Kakashi asked.

"I dunno, I don't want him to think bad of me for keeping this a secret," I told him, "The Hokage helped me when I needed help. I owe him."

"You help by being a good ninja, helping keep the Village safe," Kakashi smiled, patting my head, "I'm gonna be busy for the rest of the day, so no more training for today."
"Okay," I said.

"And no baking," Kakashi told me, "You make a lot at once, it scares me a little."

"I have good time management," I told him.

"That makes sense and I understand why you were so punctual all these years," Kakashi chuckled, "I'll actually make dinner tonight, so no cooking either."

He waved goodbye and left me alone.

I sighed, "Let's see," I said as I walked around.

"I could do grocery shopping? No, Kakashi already did that. And he's making dinner..."

I wandered around, thinking about what I could do.

By now it was the afternoon.

I soon found myself at the park. The sun was harsh today. I took some coverage under a tree.

"Man, I'm so bored," I groaned, "I shouldn't have baked so much yesterday, I could've made more today. Ugh, why is not studying or training so hard?!"

"Kyoko? What are you doing here?"

I turned to the voice to see Shikamaru who was sitting on the other side of the tree.
"I was out on a walk," I answered, moving over to where he was.

I then saw Choji who was laying on the grass next to him.

"What are you two doing?" I asked.

"Cloud watching," Shikamaru said.

"He was asleep," Choji told me.

"Until someone woke me up," Shikamaru sighed, laying back down, "What are you so worked up about?"

"Kakashi told me to go have a childhood," I said, making him give me a weird look, "Well, he doesn't want me to train or study til we officially graduate. He wants me to...I guess enjoy the free week before getting serious."

"That's gonna be a challenge," Shikamaru told me, "You're always serious."

"Like how you're always lazy?" I smirked.

"Touche," He chuckled.

"You can join us for now," Choji suggested.

"I got nothing better to do," I said, leaning against the tree.

"I can't believe this is how you spend your free time," I told him.

"Unlike you," Shikamaru said, "I have the ability to relax."

"Very funny," I sighed, looking up at the sky.

"Thanks for the baked goods!" Choji smiled, "They were really good.

"I'm glad you enjoyed them," I gave a smile back.

"I heard you gave Choji more than me," Shikamaru told me sarcastically, "What's that about?"

"Oh, don't be jealous," I told him, "I thought Choji would appreciate it. I know he likes food."
Choji chuckled, "Are you gonna be making more?"

"I would, but Kakashi told me not to," I told him.

"That's too bad," Shikamaru said, "They were really good."

"Won't be a while til I make more," I said.

We sat in silence, watching the sky.

Every now and then, a cool breeze would come by, freeing us from the unbearable heat for a moment.

~.~

"You guys are hopeless."

I had my eyes closed while resting on the tree, but wasn't sleeping.

I opened one of my eyes to see who it was.

It was Sakura and Ino.

"You even got Kyoko to be lazy," Ino scoffed.

"Isn't it a good thing?" Sakura said, "Not that they're lazy, but that Kyoko's resting and relaxing so much. She's always so serious every time I see her."

"Kakashi said I need to have a childhood," I told them, "So he's asking me to not do anything til we graduate. I think he just wants me to relax."

"He's got that right," Ino said, "You're always super tense."
"I never let my guard down," I told her, "It's not a bad thing."

Sakura frowned a little.

"What are you girls doing here anyways?" Shikamaru sighed, "My naps keeps getting interrupted."
Ino gave a slight glare while Shikamaru smirked.

"We were just walking around and found you three here," Ino said.

"It's hot, we found a good shady area," Choji said.

"Would love to go for a swim right about now," Sakura sighed.

"I wouldn't wanna go anywhere now," I said, peeking at the sun, "The Sun is at it's highest peak right now, I'll burn if I step out of the shade."

"Really?" Sakura asked.

"Yeah, especially since I didn't put sunscreen on," I sighed.

"I guess it's a good thing you came over here," Choji told me.

"That's true," I said.

"Was there any reason why you decided to hang here?" Ino asked me.

"Why? Hanging out with us isn't a good enough reason?" Shikamaru asked.

"I was bored and saw them here," I shrugged.

"Hmm," Ino thought for a moment.

The girls shared a look before smiling at each other.

"...I should be worried," I said.

"Why?" Ino asked, sitting next to me.

"We just decided to hang out here with you," Sakura said, sitting at my other side.

I glanced over at Shikamaru for help.

"As long as you're quiet," He said, closing his eyes again.

'The betrayal,' I sighed.

~.~

Ino had started braiding my hair while I let Sakura paint my nails.

"This will come off, right?" I asked.

"Yes, for the millionth time, it'll come off," Sakura told me.

'They take it off by popping off the nail,' I heard Fuzen say.

"...how do you take it off?" I asked, before she moved onto my other hand.

"It's like paint," Sakura told me, "It'll chip off on its own, and if you really wanna take them off, I have some nail polish remover."

"Wow, you really don't know anything, do you?" Ino asked.

"You wanna rephrase that?" I threatened.

She immediately pulled my hair, making me squeak in pain.
"I have a hold of your hair, you can't threaten me," Ino said with a smug.

I pulled out a kunai and grabbed my hair.

"I think short hair would suit me, don't you?" I asked.

"Kidding! I'm just kidding!" Ino told me, "Geez, I gotta redo the braid now."
"Don't tell me you messed up your nails," Sakura said.

I stuck my hands out to show that the pink polish was still on the one hand she did.

She sighed in relief.

"Alright, give me your other hand," Sakura said.

"So...this is what you girls do when you're bored?" I asked.

"We go shopping as well," Ino told me, "We would've dragged you to some stores, but you mentioned not wanting to step into the sun."

"Gee...so you torture me here instead," I sighed.

"Torture?" Sakura nervously chuckled, "That's a funny way to put it."

"This is what girls do," Ino told me, "I'm gonna teach you what girls do as we grow into teens and adults!"

"You aren't even an adult yet," I told Ino.

"You aren't either, but you don't know the first thing about a girl so I'm gonna walk you through it," Ino told me.

"...there's such things as girls who act more like guys though, right?" I asked.

"Tomboy?" Sakura questioned, "I mean...I guess you are more of that category."

"But I know some tomboys and they at least understand shopping and girl talk," Ino said, tying the hair tie at the end of the braid.

"I guess," Sakura said, finishing painting my other hand.
"Speaking of girl talk," Ino said, pulling the braids a little, "Any new feelings spring up lately?"

"Nope," I told her, "I think I already programmed my brain to not get into relationships."

'You kinda programmed your brain to not make friends and look what happened,' Fuzen said.

"Why would you do that?" Ino asked me.

"Well..." I thought for a moment, "Let's say...you're in a great relationship, whatever your perfect guy would be like. He leaves for a mission. When his team comes back, you rush over to see him, welcome him back to the village. He's not there."

Sakura and Ino waited for me to continue.

"He died in the mission," I told them, "It's the life of a ninja, every time you're on a mission, you're putting your life on the line. Ninjas will die. And if someone who's intimately close to you die, you'll spiral into a state of depression, you won't be able to perform your duties, and if you try it, you can't do the best your can."

"...you really look at the reality of things, don't you?" Ino said nervously.

"I don't see the point of relationships when being the ninja," I said, "I'm not saying you shouldn't, I personally won't get into a relationship."

"Maybe you just haven't met anyone interesting enough for you," Ino told me.

I sighed, "I'm not gonna stop you from this...girl talk with me, but I'm really fine not being in a romantic relationship. Plus, I think we're a little too young to even think about that."

"Fine, I'll put a pin into it...for now," Ino told me, handing me a compact mirror, "Look how pretty you look! I did a fishtail braid."

The braid laid over my right shoulder. She left my bangs alone and kept the fringes to frame my face.

"This would probably keep my hair out of the way when fighting," I said, making Ino sigh.

"At least you like it," Ino told me.

"You might not like pink but it's all I have at the moment," Sakura told me, "But your nails seem dry."

I held my hands out. It would match Sakura a lot more than me.

"We can take it off later at my place, once the sun starts setting," Sakura suggested.

"I'll wear it til it chips off," I told her, "You worked hard on it."

"Really?" Sakura asked, "Okay," She smiled.

"Shikamaru, Choji, what do you think?" Ino asked the boys.

Shikamaru was definitely awake throughout the entirety, since we just kept talking. But he didn't budge.

Ino stood up and pulled me up with her.

"Shikamaru!" Ino shouts, sitting me beside him, "Look at how pretty Kyoko looks.

Shikamaru groaned, opening an eye to see Ino with her hands on her hips, with a look of annoyance.

"It looks good on you," Choji told me.

"You think so?" I asked, lightly touching the braid, "I don't think I have the skills to do this myself."

Shikamaru finally looked at me, taking a look at Ino's work.

"Not bad," Shikamaru told me, "It's nice on you."

"Uh-huh," I said, before checking to see where the sun was, "It's gonna set soon."

I stood up, "I can probably head home soon. Kakashi said he'd be making dinner," I stretched, "I hope he doesn't come home tired and make us eat out again."

"I should probably head out too," Shikamaru said, "Mom's gonna nag if I'm not back before dinner. I'll catch you later, Choji."

"Bye, Shikamaru, Kyoko," Choji said, standing up, probably leaving too.

"Bye girls, Choji," I waved, making my way back home.

Shikamaru was quick to catch up to me as we made our way back.

"What's Kakashi making?" Shikamaru asked.

"Not sure," I answered, "Hopefully its not gonna end up as us eating out again."

"Again?" Shikamaru asked.

"Yesterday he came back saying he was too tired to cook, so we went out for sushi," I said, "Wait...we have leftovers, we'll probably have that."

"Leftover sushi?" Shikamaru questioned.

"Yeah," I said, "It's not the best, but food is food."

"I guess," Shikamaru said, "I turn here, I'll see you later."

"Have a good evening," I told him.

"Oh, by the way," He started, "That does look really good on you."
"...thanks," I smiled a little.

We waved goodbye and I continued to walk.

'Young love, so cute,' Fuzen told me.

'What?' I asked.

'Isn't that so cute? You, and that Nara boy? He won't compliment you in a group but he would in private?' Fuzen said.

'He was irritated by the girls, of course he wouldn't give a straight answer,' I told them, 'Although it doesn't really matter, the braid is gonna be undone and I won't know how to do that fancy fishtail braid. I only know that one simple braid and it takes too long. I won't be doing anything that fancy.'

'Excuses,' It sighed, 'In denial, but I wonder for how long?'

'I think you're just so bored that you're creating fantasies in your head,' I told them as I opened the door to my house.

"I'm back," I said, taking my shoes off.

"Welcome back," Kakashi called out from the kitchen.

I smelled fried fish.

'...did Kakashi cook the sushi or something?' I wondered, walking into the kitchen, seeing him frying up fish.

"Don't we still have leftover sushi?" I asked.

"We did...I had some for lunch and when I wasn't looking," Kakashi was interrupted by Akumu rubbing himself on Kakashi's leg, "Akumu here wanted some too."

"...nice," I said sarcastically, picking up the cat, "What did he eat?"

"The tempura, the tamago, but no raw fish," Kakashi confirmed.

I sighed in relief, "...that's not very much," I told him, "You ate the rest of it."
He chuckled nervously, "I was hungry, could you blame me?"

"At least we're eating in tonight," I said, "I'm gonna quickly wash up."

I went upstairs with Akumu, so he doesn't beg for food from Kakashi.

"You're so naughty," I told the cat, smushing my face into his fur.

I walked into my room and closed the door before putting the cat down.

I washed my face, getting rid of the sweat from the sun and washed my hands. From the room, I could hear Akumu meowing and scratching at my door.

"You gotta eat your own food," I told him, booping his nose.

I opened the door and Akumu rushed downstairs. I quickly followed and found him bothering Kakashi. I filled Akumu's bowl, the sound made him rush over to eat.

"He acts like we don't feed him," I said, walking over to Kakashi, "Need any help?"

"You can set the table," Kakashi told me, "And fluff the rice."

I did as I was told and sat at the table waiting.

He plated the fish and put the plate in the middle of the table.

"What is it?" I asked, not recognizing this dish.
"River Fish Meunière," He told me, "Kakashi – Style."

I smirked, "Fancy, Kakashi – Style. I'm in for a treat, aren't I?"

"Very funny, now eat up," He told me, picking up his chopsticks.

I picked up my chopsticks and immediately tried the fish.

"Wow, it's really good," I said.

"You're acting like this is the first good thing I've made," Kakashi told me.
"...no comment," I joked.

He chuckled, "So, I see you had fun."

"Ino wanted to braid my hair, so I let her," I told him, "Sakura wanted to paint my nails, so I let her."

"As long as you're having fun," Kakashi told me.

"Hmm, I guess," I shrugged, "The girl talk thing is annoying though. They keep asking me if I'm interested in anyone."

"Really?" He asked.

"Yeah, and the answer is always the same," I ate some rice, "I always say no. Cause I'm not interested in dating. I don't think I will be."

"You're a little young to be thinking of relationships," Kakashi said.

"That's what I said," I told him, "But I know they're gonna continue asking me so I'll just leave it be."

"You're different from the girls," Kakashi told me, "I'm surprised you get along with them."

"I tolerate," I told him, "Hey, can we train later?"

"We can tomorrow morning," Kakashi told me, "Unless you learned something else?"

"Not yet," I told him.

"I do wanna know what you have learned," Kakashi told me.

"Hmm," I thought for a moment, "I can document it, it'll be easier to show the Hokage too."

"Good idea," He told me, "You seem to have a grasp at it already, so that's good."

"It's not too hard, from what I already know what to do," I told him, "But there's definitely more to discover."

He smiled, "Can't wait to see it in action during a mission."
