Hello everyone~

I got another chapter ready!

~.~

Last Time:

"Ino wanted to braid my hair, so I let her," I told him, "Sakura wanted to paint my nails, so I let her."

"As long as you're having fun," Kakashi told me.

"Hmm, I guess," I shrugged, "The girl talk thing is annoying though. They keep asking me if I'm interested in anyone."

"Really?" He asked.

"Yeah, and the answer is always the same," I ate some rice, "I always say no. Cause I'm not interested in dating. I don't think I will be."

"You're a little young to be thinking of relationships," Kakashi said.

"That's what I said," I told him, "But I know they're gonna continue asking me so I'll just leave it be."

"You're different from the girls," Kakashi told me, "I'm surprised you get along with them."

"I tolerate," I told him, "Hey, can we train later?"

"We can tomorrow morning," Kakashi told me, "Unless you learned something else?"

"Not yet," I told him.

"I do wanna know what you have learned," Kakashi told me.

"Hmm," I thought for a moment, "I can document it, it'll be easier to show the Hokage too."

"Good idea," He told me, "You seem to have a grasp at it already, so that's good."

"It's not too hard, from what I already know what to do," I told him, "But there's definitely more to discover."

He smiled, "Can't wait to see it in action during a mission."

For the next few days, I've been training with Kakashi in the morning and hanging with others during the day.

I'd document everything in a journal. The plan was to give the Hokage the journal every week for him to see what I've learned. The Hokage is trying to use what I've learned to try to figure out where I might be from.

I was mainly around Shikamaru since he was less problematic than the girls. Easier for me to talk to as well.

He noticed that I was in a better mood and said, "You're pretty happy for someone who hasn't been training or studying."

Which I responded, "Kakashi has agreed to train with me in the mornings."

I received an "ah" in response.

It was the day before we find out who our sensei would be. I woke up, ready to train. I rushed downstairs to meet Kakashi, finding him getting ready to get out the door.
"Sorry, no training this morning," Kakashi told me.

"What? Why?" I asked.

"I'm busy this morning, meeting with the other Jounin and Hokage," He said, "So no training this morning or tomorrow."

"Oh, alright then," I sighed.

He ruffled my hair.

"At least we got to train together," He told me, "I enjoyed it."

"...yeah," I responded.

'He's making it sound like he's not gonna train with me anymore,' I thought, 'That might be the case when I'm assigned to a team with a different Jounin.'

"You know what you haven't done? Play your violin," Kakashi told me, "You should pick that back up again."

"Ah, okay," I said.

He said bye and left.

I walked back upstairs, went into my closet and pulled out my violin.

I used to play on the roof when I couldn't sleep. Kakashi told me that it had helped him sleep and probably helped others who could hear. I was a little embarrassed at the fact that others probably heard me play and I wasn't sure if I was helping them sleep or keeping them awake, so I stopped.

I opened my window and climbed out with the violin case.

Akumu saw me and followed me. I pulled the violin out of the case. It had been a while, so I had to tune it again. Akumu tried to help, pawing the strings. I had to stand up while tuning.

Once it was tuned, I picked up the violin bow and began to play.

~.~

Kakashi was on his way to the Hokage building when her heard a familiar tune.

'It's been a while since I've heard that,' He thought, 'Can't believe it's already been it's been about 6 years already.'

~.~

I had played random songs and melodies. Akumu had eventually curled up and slept as I played. It was almost the afternoon, but I had gotten so into playing, I hardly noticed.

"Oi! Kyoko!"

I stopped and looked to the direction to where my name was called out.

I saw Shikamaru.

"So it was you who was playing that," Shikamaru said, "Are you also the same person who played at night, years ago?"
"Uh...yeah," I said.

"Some of those nights, I couldn't sleep, but your violin playing helped," He told me.

"I played cause I couldn't sleep," I said, "I just played to day cause Kakashi had to skip out on training today."

"Ah," Shikamaru said, "You wanna hang out?"

"Sure, it's probably noon now," I said, "Seeing that you're awake, I'll meet you down there."
I put the violin back in it's case and picked up Akumu. I crawled back into my room and closed the window. I put the violin back in my closet, fed Akumu, and left the house.

"So, what do you wanna do?" I asked.

"Looks like it's gonna be sunny today," Shikamaru said, "Have you played Shoji before?"

"No, but I've heard of it," I said.

"We can go back to my place and I can teach you," He suggested.

"Sure, nothin-"

"Nothing better to do?" He finished my sentence with a smirk.

"...have I really been saying that all week?" I asked.

"Yup," He nodded, leading the way, "Let's go."

~.~

"You get it?" Shikamaru asked me.

He had just finished explaining Shoji.

"Yeah, it's kinda like chess," I said, playing with one of the pieces.

"Okay, let's hope we can at least get through one game before my mom or dad comes home," Shikamaru said, placing the pieces on the board.

"...should I be worried? Besides the fact I'm probably gonna have to talk to them?" I asked.

He chuckled.

"They think you're shy," He told me, "But you should be fine."

"Let's just play," I said.

"Wanna make wager before playing?" He asked.

I frowned.

"You've played this multiple times and I've never played, how is that fair?" I asked him.

He thought for a moment.

"Looser does whatever the winner wants," Shikamaru told me, "It won't be anything bad."

"Uhh..." I looked at the game, "You know what? I'm pretty confident, sure."

~.~

"Your pretty good...but you look really tensed," Shikamaru told me.

"Well I'm just seeing if I can do this," I told him, thinking about what to do next.

"This is a game, calm down," Shikamaru told me.

"Not for me," I told him before making a move.

"You're gonna lose anyways," He told me, moving his knight piece.

"Ugh," I groaned, staring intensely at the board.

"Wanna make a move?" Shikamaru asked, "Anytime today would be great."

"Don't distract me," I told him.

I looked at the possibilities and made moved my rook.

"Check," I stated.

Shikamaru looked at the board for a minute, then went into some weird pose. Eyes closed, with hid hands cupped, finger tips only touching. I was confused. Shikamaru was like that for a minute or two then opened his eyes. He reached for a piece and moved it.

"Checkmate," He says casually, crossing his arms.

I stared at the board. I blinked.

"...what?" I asked, looking at the board and back at the Nara.

"Can't take loosing I see," He smiled.

"I regret making the bet," I said, "...what magic did you do?" I asked.

"No magic, just skills," Shikamaru said.

I shook my head.

"No, you did something a few minutes ago, that pose you did," I told him.

"Oh that?" He asked, I nodded, "That's kind of a habit, I do that to think," He explained.

I gave him a look.

"So basically if I see you do that while playing this game I know I'm screwed?" I asked.

Shikamaru thought for a moment then nodded.

"Yeah, pretty much," He says, stretching, "Still you're pretty good, I never had to use that pose while playing with someone when they're playing for the first time. I honestly didn't think you would get it right away," The Nara told me.

"Well I win, I get to make you do anything I want," He joked.

I crossed my arms.

"Hey, you get one dare, or to tell me to do one thing," I told him.

Shikamaru waved me off.

"I'll save it for a rainy day," He told me.

He went into the kitchen to get a drink, he came back to see me sulking in the corner of the living room.

"Oi, stop brooding, it lets out a depressing atmosphere," Shikamaru sighed.

I faced him.

"Ugh, I hate the fact that I was stupid enough to agree to a bet, at my first game," I sighed.

I hear Shikamaru sigh, placing something on the table.

"Well, your fault for agreeing to the bets," He told me, "Anyways don't just stare off into the corner like that, if my mom saw that, she'd beat the hell outta me."

I turned to look at him with confusion.

"Why?" I asked.

"I don't know, she'll probably think it's my fault that your sulking," Shikamaru told me, motioning me to come to the table.

"Well technically it is," I pouted, slightly puffing my cheeks out.

"How?" Shikamaru asked, giving me a glass of ice tea.

"You won the bet," I said casually, taking a sip.

"Not my fault I'm smart," He said with a cocky smirk.

"Honestly, you are smart, you're just extremely lazy," I said, thinking about the amount of times he, Naruto, Choji, and Kiba would skip class to go hang out.

"Anyways, wanna play another round?" He asked.

"No," I said with a stern voice.

"With no bets," Shikamaru told me.

"No bets?" I asked him, just to make sure.

"Nope, unless you want to," He told me.

"No way, I don't want you to win anymore bets," I told him.

"You go first," He told me.

I nodded, making the first move.

~.~

I knew I lost, right when I saw Shikamaru do that hand position.

'Fuck,' I sighed.

"Checkmate," He stated.

I stared at the board for a while before face planting into the table. Shikamaru sweat dropped.

"...are you okay?" He asked.

I didn't answer, or move.

"That sounded like it hurt."

"...it did.." I muffled out, face still on the table.

"...you wanna remove your face from the table?" He asked.

"Not really," I answered.

"...why not?" He asked, a little concerned.

"It hurts," I told him.

"...maybe if you lift your face, it won't hurt as much," Shikamaru suggested.

I lifted my face. My nose was a little red, my eyes were a little teary eyed from the pain.

"My nose hurts..." I told him.

"Maybe you shouldn't have done that," He chuckled awkwardly, "Can't handle losing?" He asked.

"Maybe," I pouted.

"Let's see," He came up to me to check my nose, gently holding my face in his hands, "Other than your nose being a little red, you're fine, you're a little teary eyed though."

"It hurt when I did that," I said, wiping my eyes, "Man, I didn't think the games would be so long."

"It can get pretty intense," Shikamaru told me, putting the game away.

"Let's go outside," I told him looking at his backyard, specifically, the wooden porch.

I stood up and stretched. I slid the door open, and walked to the back yard. Shikamaru followed behind me. I sat at the edge of the porch, letting my legs fall over the edge, my toes barely touching the grass beneath me. The porch was a little high off the ground. Shikamaru sat next to me. Looking up at the sky, it was late afternoon. The sky was a pale orange, we were both staring off into the sunset in front of us.

"Ready for teams?" Shikamaru asked me.

I shook my head, "Nope," I sighed.

He chuckled, "I figured."

"It's kinda stupid how we have to wait til Friday to find out who our teams are. I mean, there aren't that many students, why would it take so long?" I wondered out loud.

Shikamaru shrugged.

"The Hokage has to pick out Jounin for the teams too," He said.

"Doesn't really make much of a difference..." I said.

"Hey, Kakashi's Jounin, right?" Shikamaru asked me.

"Yeah...why do you ask?" I asked him.

"He's probably gonna be one of the Sensei," Shikamaru pointed out, "What if you got him as your Sensei?"

"As if," I said, "I don't think the Hokage would put us together."

"Why not?" Shikamaru asked, "You two train together, know how to work together and he knows what you need to work on."

"There's gonna be other people on the team," I said, "If it was just me, it would work."

"You just don't wanna be on a team," He said.

"Correct," I yawned.

"So, would you want him as a Sensei?" He asked.

"Dunno," I told him, "I didn't consider it as an option. I mean, it would be nice to have a familiar face. But..."

I bit my lop from nerves, "For all these years, he never had a team of Genin for more than a day," I sighed, "He would tell me he was gonna meet up with the new team. When he comes home and I ask about it, he told me that they weren't capable of being ninjas and were sent back to the academy."

"So you think he would do the same? Even if you're one of the students?" Shikamaru asked.

"No exceptions..." I thought for a moment, "Unless the Hokage is okay with Kakashi being one on one with me."

Shikamaru laughed, "Well, what are the chances that he'll be your Sensei?"

"Low," I answered with a yawn, "I still have mixed feelings about it though."

"Things will work out okay, you'll see," Shikamaru told me, "Maybe we'll be on a team together."

I already know about the Ino – Shika – Cho team. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that again.

"That would be the worst," I laughed.

"You're right," Shikamaru said, "I'd have to deal with you."

We laughed.
"We'd make the worst team," I added, leaning on his shoulder.

"You said it," He agreed.

~.~

It wasn't long til Kyoko had fallen asleep.

'The warmth from the sun probably made her fall asleep,' Shikamaru thought, 'I know it's making me sleepy.'

He picked the girl up and brought her inside. He tried to lay her down on the couch, but she refused to let go of him. He sighed.

'Might as well, I'm pretty tired too,' He thought as he laid down beside her.

The couch was a little small, but was surprisingly able to fit the two. Kyoko laid on his chest, arms slightly pulled back from his neck. Shikamaru petted the girls head, she gave a sleepy smile.

'...she smells..nice...like vanilla and...lavender...' He thought as he fell asleep under the girl's scent.

~.~

Shikamaru didn't know how long he had slept for, but woke up by the sound of his mother yelling at him.

"Shikamaru! Have you been sleeping for the whole day?" Yoshino sighed, shaking her head, "Honestly, sometimes I wonder if you're lazier than your father," She told him from the kitchen.

Shikamaru groaned.

'Geez, give me a break, you saw me leave the house today. How could I have been asleep for this entire day?' Shikamaru thought.

"Give the boy a break," Shikamaru heard his father say.

'Thank you,' He thought, but instantly took it back when he heard what his father said next.

"It looked like he spent the day with Kyoko, god know what they did but it sure tired them out," Shikaku said chuckling.

Shikamaru instantly sat up about to yell at his father but seeing Kyoko fall on the ground stopped him. She ended up falling onto her back because she was sleeping on her stomach, on Shikamaru's chest.

~.~

"Ow..." I said, sitting up, "Jeez...how did I fall?"

"Sorry, my bad," Shikamaru said, helping me up.

"So, what were you guys doing?" Shikaku asked, smirking.

Shikamaru rolled his eyes, trying to ignore the blush colouring his face.

"We just played shogi, and she got tired and fell asleep," Shikamaru explained.

"Looks like you got tired too," I said, sitting on the couch.

"If you say so," He said, "You pick a good girl, she's good for you, you should have her over more often."

Shikamaru face-palmed.

"Dad, she's just a friend," He said looking at his father.

"Tell me that when she's not sleeping on you with your arms wrapped around her," Shikaku told him.

A darker blush crawled up the young Nara's face.

"Troublesome," Shikamaru muttered.

"You could've just let me sleep while we were outside," I said, "Then that wouldn't have happened."

"Don't blame me for that," Shikamaru told me.

"What? Kyoko-chan's here? Why didn't you tell us you were bringing her over?" Yoshino asked, walking into the living room.

"Hello, Yoshino – san," I greeted.

"How are you? It's been so long!" Yoshino smiled, giving me a hug, "Oh! Will you be staying for dinner?"

"I would love to, but Kakashi said he'd be making dinner so I'll have to pass for today," I said, "Maybe next time?"

"Yes of course," Yoshino said, "Oh, it's getting dark. Shikamaru, you should walk her home."

"Oh, it's not that far away," I said, "I can walk on my own."

"Nonsense," Shikaku spoke up, "A man needs to walk his girlfriend home."
"We aren't dating," Shikamaru groaned, "What a drag, let's go."

"It was nice seeing you again, Yoshino – san, Shikaku – san," I said with a bow, following after Shikamaru.

~.~

"Good job, you talked to my parents like a normal person," Shikamaru told me.

"I was feeling a stutter coming," I told him after a breath of relief.

"You're doing really good, you're pretty comfortable around the group," He said.

"I guess," I shrugged.

"Oh by the way," Shikamaru started, "What's your relationship with Uchiha?" I blinked.

"Huh? Why do you ask?" I asked him.

"Curious, for some reason, he starts pushing you on the swings and boom, your instant friends. If it was that easy, I would have done that a long time ago," Shikamaru said, folding his hands behind his head as we walked.

"I guess you could say we were childhood friends," I said, "I knew him cause of his brother."

"You made friends with his brother first?" He asked.

"Uh, not exactly," I said, "Basically, when I first moved here, Kakashi was still part of ANBU Black Ops, but had to quit at the end of that year."

"Also, since he's in the Bingo Book, he might be recognized, but that's my educated guess," I told him.

"Wait, he's in the Bingo Book?" Shikamaru asked.

"He's Kakashi Hatake, The Copy ninja. The man who has copied over a thousand Jutsu because of his Sharingan," I said.

"I'm pretty surprised how you ended up with him," Shikamaru told me.

"It kinda just happened," I said, "I didn't really have a choice."

"I see," Shikamaru said.

"Anyways, so Kakashi still had the rest of the year to complete his duties as an ANBU, so someone had to look after me," I told him, remembering how I first met Itachi-kun.

"Kyoko, come over here," I hear Kakashi call for me.

I quietly crept downstairs to see what he needed from me.

I quickly went down the stairs to meet him. I see Kakashi in his ANBU gear. It was basically a black outfit with a gray vest. The shirt was cut off like a T-shirt, showing is arms which half was concealed by black arm covers. He wore his animal mask, which all ANBU members wore to conceal their identity, on the side of his head so I could see his face, minus the cloth mask of course. I looked up at him.

"I gotta head out soon, but I have someone to look after you," He told me.

'Oh no,' I thought, looking at the Hatake.

Another man, younger than Kakashi, came into the room. He was also wearing an ANBU uniform, but he was wearing a mask, I could see that he also wore his black hair in a low ponytail. I immediately tensed up, more so since I didn't see his face. Kakashi saw me tense up and gave me his one eye smile.

"Kyoko, this is Uchiha Itachi, he's going to look after you when I'm gone on missions," Kakashi told me.

I moved closer to Kakashi, peeking up at Itachi from curiosity.

"Also, you might want to remove the mask, Itachi, she already doesn't trust you" Kakashi chuckled.

The Uchiha removed his mask, showing a boy who looked like he was around the age of twelve.

'He must be the youngest member in ANBU,' I thought.

"So you're the Kyoko-chan I've heard so much about?" Itachi asked, crouching down to my size.

"I heard you don't talk very much. Not a word to any strangers. Maybe I can get a word out of you," He said giving me a smile.

"I better go, take good care of her," Kakashi said.

I grabbed onto Kakashi's pants, asking him to not leave me here.

"You're in good hands, you'll be fine," Kakashi told me, gently removing my hands, "I'll be back before you know it," He said before leaving.

"Don't worry about her, worry about your mission," Itachi said, closing the door.

When Itachi closed the door, I immediately went back up the stairs.

"Where did you go?" Itachi asked out loud when he noticed I was gone.

He chuckled, "Quiet little one, huh?"

I closed the door of my room and went to my desk. I had a few books there so I could study about some Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. I opened up a book about Ninjutsu. It showed some basic signs. I memorized them pretty easy, I wanted to try them out but it would mean I'd have to go outside. I continued to read a bit about it till I was unexpectedly interrupted.

"Trying to teach yourself Ninjutsu, I see."

I jumped at the voice.

"Sorry did I scare you?" Itachi asked mockingly, "You're a pretty quiet person."

I glared at him.

"Eh? Don't give me that look, such a cute face should make a sour expression like that," He told me, pinching my cheeks.

I rubbed them when he let go. The Uchiha smiled.

"I'm suppose to meet up with my younger brother to teach him a bit of Ninjutsu, I think he's about the same age as you, you want to come too?" He asked.

I looked down, a little nervous.

"He's just as shy as you. You might get along," Itachi told me, "I can help you with Ninjutsu."

I sighed and just nodded. He told me that we would be late if we walked so he ended up giving me a piggy back ride, jumping roof to roof, to where he was suppose to meet his younger brother.

~.~

"Onii-chan!" I heard as we landed at the training fields.

I see a little boy with raven black hair, like Itachi's, except this boy's hair was short. His hair spiked up, looking like the rear-end of a chicken.

I got off of Itachi's back as soon as we landed. The little boy ran towards his big brother, and jumped into Itachi's arms. I stood behind them uncomfortably.

"Sasuke! Did I make you wait too long?" Itachi asked the boy.

Sasuke shook his head.

"You made it in time!" The younger male exclaimed, looking up at his older brother.

Sasuke then spotted me.

"Who's that?" Sasuke asked Itachi, hiding behind his brother.

Itachi rubbed his head.

"That's Hatake Kyoko, I told you that I was looking after her today, along with teaching you some Ninjutsu," Itachi told him.

"You mean the girl who doesn't talk?" Sasuke asked.

Itachi nodded.

"Seems like the rumors were true," Itachi turned his head to me, "Kyoko, this is my younger brother, Uchiha Sasuke."

"H-hi," Sasuke stuttered out.

I awkwardly waved hi.

"She actually doesn't talk," Sasuke said to Itachi.

Itachi smiled, "I was surprised myself."

"Are you going to train with us too?" Sasuke asked me.

I nodded.

"Itachi is super strong! He's gonna help with shuriken practice and Ninjutsu!" Sasuke said excitedly, "We're gonna become super strong because of him."

He gently grabbed my wrist and dragged me to some trees that had targets on them.

"Before I teach you a little Ninjutsu, I want to see how well you are with aiming," Itachi said.

Itachi gave me and Sasuke some shurikens.

"Try and aim for the targets," Itachi told us.

I observed Sasuke's throwing abilities before going. We each had three shurikens, and there were three targets. Sasuke manages to get one bulls eye, and the other two shurikens very close to the middle. Itachi praised him by patting Sasuke on the head.

"Good job, I can tell you've been practicing. Your turn Kyoko, have you used these before?" Itachi asked me.

I simply nodded. I concentrated on the middle of each target and threw the shurikens. I ended up getting the same results as Sasuke.

"Impressive!" Itachi told me, "Who taught you that?"

I thought for a moment before covering my left eye.

"Uhh..." Itachi thought for a moment, "Ah! Kakashi?"

I nodded.

"Haha, you have a funny way of communicating, Kyoko – chan," Itachi laughed, "Well, looks like Sasuke's got some competition," Itachi said, patting my head the same way he did to Sasuke.

"So, I'm trying to help Sasuke learn Fireball Jutsu," Itachi told me, "What are you working on?"

I didn't know how to charades that. I picked up a twig and wrote on the ground "Water Wave Jutsu".

"Water Wave Jutsu?" Sasuke asked, "What's that?"
"Uh, it's similar to the Fireball Jutsu," Itachi said, "But instead of fire, it's water."

"Whoa!" Sasuke exclaimed in excitement.

"So, do you know the hand signs for that, Kyoko?" Itachi asked.

I nodded.

"Have you tried it out before?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Did it work?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Alright, let's see it," Itachi told me, "Then Sasuke can show you his progress on his Fireball."
I did the hand signs for the jutsu.

'Water Wave Jutsu,' I thought as I performed the jutsu.

A good amount of water spewed out from my mouth, but it wasn't at it's full potential.

"Wow! That's pretty good," Itachi praised, "A little more practice and you'll be able to perform it perfectly."

"Kyoko – chan," Sasuke interrupted, "Can you at least say our names?"

"Sasuke, let's not make her do something she's not comfortable with," Itachi told him.

"Is it cause our names are too long?" Sasuke asked me.

I shrugged.

"You can give us nicknames," Sasuke told me, "You can make it shorter."

"Kyoko's name is just as long as ours," Itachi told Sasuke.

"Hmm," Sasuke thought for a moment, "We can call you Kiki – chan! It's cute. What do you think?"

I laughed a little, "...ok."

Sasuke's face lit up.

"She said ok! You spoke!"

"Well ,what do you know?" Itachi smiled, "Maybe we just needed someone the same age to bring you out."

"What do you wanna call us?" Sasuke asked.

I thought for a moment, I leaned to Sasuke's ear and whispered "Sasu – kun, Ita – kun."

I wasn't sure if it was needed at the moment, but it would be helpful if Itachi would have to look after me more often.
"Well?" Itachi asked.

"...secret," Sasuke told him.
"Eh? So I won't know my own nickname yet?" Itachi asked.

I shook my head "no".

"That's mean," He told us, rubbing our heads, "Alright, go show off your Fireball Jutsu."

~.~

By the end of the day, the two kids had fallen asleep.

"So cute, they're both tired and fell asleep together," Itachi smiled, carrying the two kids on his back.

"Thanks for taking care of her," Kakashi thanked., taking Kyoko, "Was she much trouble?" He asked. Itachi shook his head.

"She's an amazing young girl, she's got incredible aim, and an exceptional amount of chakra. She performed her Water Wave pretty well," Itachi told the older ninja.

"She's a Water Release user," Kakashi said, "I believe she can manipulate it, but isn't very aware of it."

"I wouldn't be surprised," Itachi said, "But was what a surprise was she laughed today, and said a few things to Sasuke."
"Really? To think you could get her to do that on the first day meeting her," Kakashi said.

"I didn't do anything, I think it's cause of Sasuke," Itachi told him, "She would quietly talk to him every now and again."

"It might help cause they're the same age," Kakashi said, "I think I'll have to leave her in your care every now and again, so she can play with Sasuke."

Itachi nodded in agreement, "Sasuke would like that."

"So basically, I spent a lot of time with them," I told the Nara, who had been listening to my story, "But after the Uchiha Massacre, Sasuke didn't let anyone get close to him, he's just been trying to become stronger."

"I see," Shikamaru said as we walked to my door, "I'm surprised how easily Sasuke befriended you."

"Naw, he didn't like how I stole his 'Onii-chan's' attention, the only reason why he was okay with me is because he saw me as a rival, and because I saved him a bunch of times from his fan girls," I explained. He looked at me, telling me to elaborate.

"I was in a tree and he just happened to come by, running from a crowed of girls," I told him, "Happened many times."

"Sasuke, that guy is never safe around most of the girls," Shikamaru chuckled.

"I would hang upside down from my legs and grab him as he ran by, pull him up and wait for the girls to leave," I said, "But now he's on his own."
"I see," Shikamaru said.

We had arrived at my house. We said our goodbyes and he left to go back home.
