Chapter Three: What Really Happened
A few weeks have passed since moving here to Silver Hills with my cousin and her husband and things have been getting weird these days.
'Becoming a Power Ranger is one of the biggest changes for me by far.' I thought to myself
The other Rangers are cool but at first I thought that Jen was just an ass with the attitude she shows most of the time but she is nice once you actually get to know the real her.
'But what has surprised me the most is that there hasn't been an attack since my first battle, so it has been quiet, but I know that it won't last for much longer.' I thought to myself
Today was my first day of starting high school here in Silver Hills and I was nervous at first seeing as how I was the new kid but I was able to meet some new friends the first one I met was a girl named Kira Ford.
'She may look like a tough tom boy kind of girl but she is real nice and kind of reminds me of one of my friends back home.' I thought to myself
And as luck would have it, the two of us have the same classes together even P.E. where I found out that this school has a co-ed P.E. class which is strange but oh well I won't complain. She also introduce me to her two friends Conner McKnight and Ethan James to which both are cool people. Conner is a soccer player and a pretty good one at that and Ethan is a computer wiz that could of gave my dad a run for his money but the one thing both him and I have in common is our love for video games.
'We have already made plans to hang out at the arcade this weekend which I am sure Kimberly will be happy about.' I thought to myself
School has ended about twenty minutes ago and I am now walking on home. I am currently walking through the park as it is a short cut to my house as I then stop and look at the pond seeing my own refection in it. As I continue to stare at my own reflection, I then suddenly begin thinking back to that night back in July when my parents and sister were killed in that car crash. I remember being at home hanging with some friends when I got the news from my cousin Amanda. When she told me that, I just ended up locking myself in my old Tree House in the back yard and I pretty much stayed in there until Kimberly showed up she climb into the tree house and sat with me she manage to get me to come out of the Tree House and she has been there for me since then and still is which I can never thank her enough for.
'But for my own sanity I need to stop living in the past and focus on the future.' I thought to myself
I then take in a sigh before I then turned around to walk away, but didn't get far as I then happen to see Wes walking up towards me.
"Hey Wes, what are you doing here?" I inquired
"Looking for you." Wes told me
'For me?' I thought to myself
"Come on, we need to head back to the Clock Tower." Wes stated
I just looked at him confused as I just follow along side of him.
"Why, is there trouble?" I questioned
"No, Kimberly wants you to spend a few hours each day after school with us at the Clock Tower." Wes explained
I just kind of stare at him confused as I then notice that we were walking over towards his bike.
"Um Wes, I don't know why Kimberly wants me to hang out at the Clock Tower but I am not too sure about riding on your bike." I mentioned
Wes just chuckled as he grabs a spare helmet from it and throws it to me to which I easily catch.
"Don't worry so much Paul, now get on." Wes says as he gets on his bike
I just sighed.
'I guess there is no way of talking him out of it.' I thought to myself
I then put the helmet on as I see him doing the same. I then get onto the bike and hold onto him as he then starts up the bike and we then ride off.
Meanwhile inside Ransik's Prison Ship
A gold looking robot who has a claw for a right hand named Frax walks over towards a desk where Ransik was sitting at. A Mutant who looks somewhat human with a half helmet covering half of his face which looks like he had suffered third degree burns, spikes sticking out of his head and right arm which also looked like it had been burned as well There was also a spot on the left side of his neck that also looked like he suffered some burns.
"Ransik, I have found out some information about the new Time Force Ranger that appeared a few weeks back." Frax informed
"What did you find?" Ransik questioned as he stood up from his desk
"Not a whole lot as of yet but I did find out he is from this time period and his Time Force Powers was the very first one made and was sent to him years ago as he was chosen to use these powers, and here is another bit of information, he is just a teenager." Frax stated
"A teenager?" Ransik questioned
"Affirmative." Frax confirmed
"Is there more on this new Ranger?" Ransik inquired
"Yes, but the files are locked up tight, it is going to take some time to unlock the rest." Frax explained
"Well get to it Frax." Ransik instructed
"Yes Master." Frax stated
"In the meantime I will prepare a new Mutant to attack them Rangers. Hahahahahaha!" Ransik mentioned laughing evilly
Meanwhile outside the Clock Tower
Once we arrived at the Clock Tower, Wes had turned his bike off as the two of us then got off of Wes's bike. I then take the helmet off and sit it down on the bike as Wes does the same with his helmet. The two of us then walk up to the tower as Wes opens up the door as the two of us then walk inside and into the lobby as we see Jen down here standing at the counter.
"Hey Paul, how was your first day of school?" Jen inquired
"It was all right for the most part." I stated as I sat down on one of the stools at the counter setting my backpack down next to it
"Were you able to make any new friends?" Jen inquired
"Yeah I did, three of them. We got plans to go hang out at the arcade this weekend." I stated
Wes then puts a hand on my shoulder I then turned towards him.
"I knew you would bud." Wes told me
"Yeah." I stated
I then turned back towards Jen.
"So tell me, why am I hanging out here after school for a few hours each day now?" I inquired
"To tell you honestly, Kimberly really didn't tell us other than that you will be here every day after school for a few hours." Jen admitted
I start to ponder on this.
'Is this her way of having me get to know the rest of the team better, or is there another end game to all this that I am yet to figure out?' I thought to myself
Just then, we see Lucas, Katie, and Trip come running down the stairs and over towards.
"Ransik just sent another Mutant to attack the Downtown District." Trip informed us
"Let's go." Jen instructed
I then get up from where I was sitting as the six of us all then run out of the Clock Tower to deal with this new Mutant.
Meanwhile in Downtown Silver Hills
After having Morphed on the way to Downtown Silver Hills, we all arrived in the downtown area where we then see the red looking Mutant with a head shape like a fireball attacking people.
"Hey hothead, how about you cool it on them innocent people?" I suggested
The Mutant then turned towards us.
"Well, if it isn't the Time Force Rangers." The Mutant greeted
Jen then brought out her Time Force Badge and held it up in front of her.
"Time Force, you're under arrest Flametron." Jen informed him
Flametron just waved his hand in front of him.
"Yeah, yeah you Rangers will have to take me back in the hard way." Flametron stated
"If that is the way you want to do it then fine by us." I told him
"Ah so you're the new Ranger Ransik told me about." Flametron stated
"That's right hot head, Gold is the name and bringing Mutants to justice is my game." I stated
"Big talk for a newbie." Flametron mentioned
Flametron then charged in towards us.
"Okay guys, let's get him." Jen instructed
"Right." The rest of us agreed
We then start to attack him. Wes and Jen went to punch him but he block their attacks and knocked them down to the ground. Katie, Trip, and Lucas went to attack him next, but before they could even make an attack of their own, the three of them got knocked down as well. I try to come in from behind as I go to kick him, but he quickly turns around and blocks my kick. I quickly recover as I then try to attack him again with a fast combo of kicks and punches, but he easily blocks them.
"Looks like you still have a lot to learn rookie Ranger." Flametron mentioned
He then then pushed me off of him as he then shot out fire from his arms striking me dead center. I am then sent flying a few more feet and crash onto the ground. The others then come over to me as Wes and Jen help me back up onto my feet.
"Paul, you all right?" Wes inquired
"Yeah I'm fine." I assured
"We have to think of something before this gets out of hand." Trip mentioned
"I have an idea." I stated
I then reached for my Morpher.
"Vortex Cannon online." I called out into my Morpher
Suddenly, it appears in my hands. Jen then puts a hand on my shoulder.
"Hey good call Paul." Jen commented
I just nodded as I then lock my sites onto Flametron as Jen looked at the others.
"Come on guys, let's do the same." Jen stated
"Right Jen, Vortex Blaster online." Wes called out
Just then, their five V-Weapons appeared in their hands, which are just a slightly smaller version to my Vortex Cannon as they then assemble them together. Wes puts his in the center as Katie attaches hers to the left side of it and Trip connecting his to the front right, Lucas connected his to the right of Wes's while Jen connected hers on the back left forming the Vortex Blaster. Trip and Katie then kneel on the ground and hold the front of the cannon while Wes stood in the back with Lucas holding it on the back right side and Jen on the back left.
"Those things don't scare me." Flametron stated
"Vortex Cannon Freeze Mode lock on and fire." I commanded
Just then, I fired the Vortex Cannon.
"Vortex Blaster lock on and fire." Wes commanded
Just then, Wes, Jen, Lucas, Katie, and Trip fired the Vortex Blaster. Both blasts then begin circling around one another before combining together to form one one giant energy ball as it then hits Flametron straight on sending him to the ground.
"No not again." Flametron complained as he struggled to get back to his feet
"Flametron, your time is up." I informed him giving a two finger salute
Just then, Flametron fell back down to the ground as he then suddenly shrunk down to the size of an action figure. We then run up to him after our weapons disappeared.
"Flametron, you're under arrest." Jen informed him sealing him into the Capture Container
I then feel a hand on my shoulder as I turned towards it to see that it was Lucas.
"Hey, good call on the V-Weapons Paul." Lucas commented
"Thanks Lucas." I thanked
"Not bad Rangers, not bad at all." A voice called out
"Who said that?" I wondered
We all then turned around towards where the voice was coming from and see another monster with a horn shape like a thunderbolt on his head with the monster also looking just like a rhino.
"Who are you?" I questioned
"The name is Shock Wave, and I have return to Earth looking for revenge on the original Gold Ranger." Shock Wave announced
'The original Gold Ranger?' I thought to myself
"But seeing as how he is no longer around you will do just fine." Shock Wave stated pointing his sword towards me
"I don't know who you are or what you are talking about, but if it is a fight you are looking for then you found one." I stated
"No fighting this time Gold Ranger, but next time you best be ready for battle." Shock Wave told me
Just then, Shock Wave disappeared.
"Who was that?" Wes wondered
"I don't know let's get back to the Clock Tower, maybe Circuit might have some answers." Jen suggested
"Right." Katie agreed
I then see the five of them leave as I just stare up at where Shock Wave had been standing moments ago.
"You coming Paul?" Jen wondered
I then shake my head out of my thoughts as I then turned around to face them.
"Yeah I'm coming." I stated
I then walk up to them as the six of us then run off, heading back for the Clock Tower.
Meanwhile a bit later back inside the Clock Tower
After having returned to the Clock Tower, we had powered down and put Flametron with the other captured Mutants. And, while the others were talking about what happened earlier, I am just sitting on top of the window shill looking out towards Silver Hills thinking about what Shock Wave meant by me not being the original Gold Ranger and coming back for revenge.
'What does this all mean?' I thought to myself
I then take a moment to look at my Chrono Morpher.
'Man, this is just getting more confusing by the day.' I thought to myself
Just then, I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned around to see that it was Jen.
"Something on your mind Paul?" Jen inquired
"Kind of it's what Shock Wave mentioned earlier." I told her
"It's probably nothing Paul." Jen mentioned
I then think on that for a moment before getting an idea. I then get off from the window shill and walk over towards Trip and Circuit with Jen following close behind.
"Or maybe it could be something." I told her
"Like what?" Wes questioned
"Circuit, I know you guys are not allowed to tell me or Wes anything real important about the future but are you able to tell us anything from the past?" I inquired
"Yes, if you need to know anything on the past I can share it with you no problem Paul." Circuit confirmed
"Good, then can you search for any information on Shock Wave and who was the last Ranger to battle him?" I questioned
"You got it Paul, just give me a few moments to look up the information." Circuit stated
"Paul, what are you thinking?" Katie questioned
"It's just a hunch I have." I told her
"Hmm it appears to be that Shock Wave has not been seen since July tenth of 1986 and the last Ranger he faced off against was the Gold Mighty Morphin Thunder Ranger by the name of Francis Golupski." Circuit told us
I just stare at Circuit in shock and now even more confused then before.
"Wait Francis Golupski?" Lucas questioned
"Yes, that's correct." Circuit confirmed
Lucas then turned towards me.
"Paul, is that any relation to you?" Lucas inquired
"Yeah he's my father." I admitted
I then begin thinking back through the years as I begin to piece together some things from then as well as to what Shock Wave had mentioned.
'So my dad was a Power Ranger that explains some stuff.' I thought to myself
I then turned my attention back towards Circuit.
"Circuit, do you have any more information?" I inquired
"Hmm let's see here." Circuit mentioned
We all just stare at Circuit as it looks for more information.
"Um, I don't know if I should share this." Circuit stated
"What is it Circuit?" I questioned
"Paul, I don't think it be a good idea for you to hear this." Circuit told me
"Circuit please, if it has something to do with my family I need to know." I told him
"Well okay, it appears that Shock Wave was the one responsible for the car crash your parents and older sister were in." Circuit informed me
'What I can't believe this, Shock Wave is the reason there gone.' I thought to myself
I then ball my hands up into fists.
"Well, the next time he shows his ass, he is going to pay for everything he put me through.' I thought to myself
"Shock Wave is back." Circuit informed us
'Here is my chance.' I thought to myself
I then walk over towards the window before turning towards them.
"You guys stay here, this is my fight and my fight alone." I told them
I then turned away from them facing back towards the window.
"TIME FOR, TIME FORCE!" I yelled out as I put both my arms out to the side, then cross them at the wrist in front of my chest, and flips the sides of my arms to their opposite facing positions, then I pull them back out, before bringing my left arm around to my right side, pushing the middle button
Just then, I suddenly morphed into the Gold Time Force Ranger
"Paul wait." Jen called out
"TF Glider online." I called into my Morpher ignoring her
"Paul, just wait a sec man." Wes called out
"Don't try to stop me or even follow me for that matter." I told them
I then jumped out of the window and land on the TF Glider and fly off towards where Shock Wave is at.
"No one messes with my family and gets away with it." I stated
Normal POV
As they see Paul fly off into the distance, they all then turned back towards Circuit.
"Circuit, where is Shock Wave's location?" Jen questioned
"Just outside the city, near the River Bridge." Circuit stated
"Come on guys, even if Paul says he doesn't need help he is still going to need our help even if he doesn't want it." Jen instructed
"Jen is right guys, let's move." Wes agreed
All five agreed and run out of the Clock Tower to go and help their young friend.
Meanwhile at the River Bridge
Paul's POV
Having figured out where Shock Wave was located viva my Morpher, I had flown to the River Bridge just outside of town. Once I had gotten to the River Bridge, I jumped off the TF Glider and landed on the ground and just looked straight at Shock Wave.
"Well, we meet again Gold Ranger." Shock Wave greeted
"Shock Wave, you are going to pay for what you did to my family." I stated
"Ah, so you found out have you that didn't take you very long." Shock Wave mentioned
"Time Saber online." I called out pushing the right red button twice
Just then, a saber that looked futuristic both the blade itself and handle appeared in my hands.
"When I am done with you, you are going to wish you have never returned to Earth." I informed
"Bring it on then Gold Ranger." Shock Wave challenged making his sword appear in his hand which has the blade shaped like a lightning bolt
Shock Wave then gets into a stance and readies his sword as I then tightly grip my Time Saber as I then charge in towards Shock Wave as we then begin to clashing blades with each other.
"Not bad for a newbie Ranger." Shock Wave commented
"Yeah well, you're not bad for a rhino with electrical problems." I mentioned
"Big talk coming from you newbie." Shock Wave pointed out
Shock Wave then manages to use his sword to push me off of him.
"Take this." Shock Wave stated
Shock Wave then jumps up into the air and over me as he lands directly behind me. Before I could react or turn around, he slashes my back with his sword making me flip around in the air landing next to the bridge's railing demorphing in the process.
'Man, this rhino is a lot tougher then I first thought.' I thought to myself
I slowly turned around as I then struggle to stand back up.
"Time to end this." Shock Wave mentioned
"I don't think so Shock Wave." A voice called out
I turn towards the voice to see that it was Jen and the others running towards us Morphed.
"No stay back, this is my fight not yours." I told them
Shock Wave then turned back towards me as he aimed his sword right at me.
"Take this Gold Ranger." Shock Wave stated
He then fires a laser beam out of his sword as it heads straight for me.
"Paul hang on." Jen called out
I then see her rush over and grab me as the two of us end up going over the railing as the blast barely misses us as we both then fall into the river. Just as we hit it, my world goes dark.
Normal POV
"He may of gotten away this time but he won't get far." Shock Wave mentioned
"We'll see about that Shock Wave." Lucas called out
Shock Wave then turned his attention back to the other Rangers.
"Your fight is with us now." Lucas pointed out
"That's right if you want to take on one Ranger, you better be willing to take on all of us." Wes explained
"Got that right." Katie agreed
"Yeah." Trip agreed as well
"I am only interested in fighting the Gold Ranger but I think I could use the warm up." Shock Wave mentioned as he ready his sword
He then charges in towards the Rangers. Wes, Lucas, Trip, and Katie bring out their Chrono Sabers and charge in as well to fight him. As the four raise their weapons up and quickly bring them back down to strike Shock Wave, Shock Wave was quick to raise his own sword up and block them all before pushing their weapons upwards before using his horn and shooting an electrical beam at them striking them all in the chest sending them all crashing to the ground as the blast also forced the four to demorph.
"You're lucky that I have to go after the Gold Ranger I suggest you Rangers don't interfere with this any further." Shock Wave told them
Shock Wave then disappeared as the five struggle to stand back up.
"We have to reach Jen and Paul before it's too late." Trip mentioned as he manage to sit up
Wes was the first one to get back to his feet as he went to help the others stand up.
"Considering the river's current tends to be pretty fast, it'll be tough to figure out which direction it carried them in." Wes pointed out
After having helped Katie up, she walked over to the railing to look down at the river as Wes helped Lucas and Trip stand back up.
"It looks like the river's current is flowing towards the east." Katie mentioned
"Then, let's start that way." Lucas stated
The others nodded as the four then run off to follow the river's current in hopes of finding Jen and Paul before Shock Wave does.
Meanwhile several miles away with Paul and Jen
Paul's POV
I wake up to find myself laying on the ground near the river.
'Man, do I ever have a splitting headache.' I thought to myself
I then turn my head to see Jen over by the river as well a few feet away dipping a rag into the river. I go to stand up to quickly find out that it is harder and more painful than I first thought.
"Ah." I groan out in pain trying to sit up
Having heard me groan out in pain, Jen quickly comes over towards me.
"Paul, are you okay?" Jen questioned
"Yeah I'm fine." I assured her
I then go to stand up but I find it harder and more painful then I first realized.
"Where do you think you're going Paul?" Jen questioned helping me stand up
"Shock Wave is still out there, I have to find him and take him down once and for all." I told her
I then push her arm away and try to walk away but I don't get far as the pain is too much to bare, I then lean on a nearby tree putting my forehead on my forearm that is resting on the tree gritting my teeth in pain.
"Paul, your hurt you need to rest." Jen told me
I turn my head around to face her.
"I don't care, I am not resting until I avenge my parents and older sister's death." I stated with pain in my voice not only physical pain but emotional pain as well
Jen then comes over to me gently turning me around sitting me down as she then sat down next to me as she began wiping my forehead with the wet rag.
"Paul, I understand your feelings towards this but revenge is not the answer." Jen stated
"How do you know how I am feeling right now Jen?" I questioned batting her arm away
I go to stand up but find it painful and just stay where I am sitting.
"No one will ever know all the pain and suffering I am going through right now." I added
Jen just grabs my hand giving it a gentle squeeze.
"I do Paul, I know what it is like to lose someone close to me by someone just as evil as Shock Wave." Jen told me
"Oh isn't this nice it's too nice for my liking." An evil voice called out
We turn towards the voice to see that it was Shock Wave.
"Shock Wave, you and I have some unfinished business." I told him standing up completely ignoring the pain
"I agree Gold Ranger." Shock Wave agreed
Shock Wave then pointed his sword towards us.
"And to insure your pink friend doesn't interfere take this." Shock Wave mentioned
Just then, Shock Wave shot a yellow beam towards us.
"Paul, look out." Jen called out pushing me out of the way
I suddenly fall down and roll on the ground. I quickly recover and turn around just in time to see the beam hit Jen turning into an energy rope binding her hands behind the tree and then wrapping around her waist pinning her body tightly to the tree.
"Jen, are you okay?" I questioned standing back up
"What do you think?" Jen inquired sarcastically
'Sometimes I wonder if she is related to me and Kimberly as she has the same attitude has Kimberly sometimes.' I thought to myself
I then turn my attention back towards Shock Wave.
"Let her go Shock Wave, she has nothing to do with this." I stated pointing my finger at him
"Oh I will once I destroy you Gold Ranger." Shock Wave told me
'This is it I had it he is going to pay for everything he has done up to this point.' I thought to myself
"TIME FOR, TIME FORCE!" I yelled out as I put both my arms out to the side, then cross them at the wrist in front of my chest, and flips the sides of my arms to their opposite facing positions, then I pull them back out, before bringing my left arm around to my right side, pushing the middle button
Once I had morphed into the Gold Time Force Ranger, I bring out my Time Saber.
"Shock Wave, your mine." I stated
I then rush forward to go on the attack.
"Paul don't." Jen called out struggling to get free
I just ignore her as Shock Wave and I begin to attack each other. Are Sabers clash with one another's. The two of us then pushed off of one another before charging back in as we begin clashing blades again, trying to strike the other down. A few moments later, I quickly see an opening that would give me the upper hand on him.
'Bingo.' I thought to myself
I then jump up into the air and flip over him as I then land behind him. I quickly raise my Time Saber and quickly bring it back down, slashing down on his back. I then kick him in the side sending him flying to the ground. Before he could get back up, I quickly rushed over towards where he is lying on the ground as I then press my foot on his chest pinning him to the ground as I then bring out my Vortex Cannon pointing towards his face as I set the setting of the Cannon for kill.
"Shock Wave, you're finished, because of you I lost everything and for that you must suffer." I stated
"Wait, can we talk about this?" Shock Wave wondered
"Save it Shock Wave. I don't want to hear any of your pathetic excuses." I stated pointing the Vortex Cannon closer to his face
"Paul, revenge is not the answer. You know that." Jen called out to me
I look at her still tied up to the tree for a moment before turning back around to face Shock Wave again.
"I want him to suffer like he is making me suffer right now." I stated
"Paul listen to me, if you kill him based on revenge that will make you no better off than him." Jen explained
I just breath heavily as I just stare right at Shock Wave with the Vortex Cannon pointed right at his face.
"You have to think, what would your father do if he was in your shoes right now?" Jen inquired
'Think for a minute Paul, what would your dad do if he was in this same position as you and what would he think if he saw you right now.' I thought to myself
After a few moments of thinking over everything she said, I have suddenly come to a realization.
'She's right, I would be no better off then Shock Wave or the Mutants if I killed him based on revenge.' I thought to myself
I then take my foot off his chest and walk away from him a few feet as I then point the Vortex Cannon downwards.
"No, not like this. I won't destroy you based on revenge. I'm not like you or the Mutants." I told him
I then turned my back towards him as I take in a deep breath.
"Now get out of here before I change my mind." I mentioned
I then start to walk over to where Jen was to free her from the tree.
Normal POV
Unknown to Paul, Shock Wave manage to recover and stood back up.
"You should have killed me when you had the chance Ranger, now you're the one who will be destroyed." Shock Wave muttered
He then raises his Sword up and charges in towards Paul.
Paul's POV
"Paul, look out behind you." Jen called out to me struggling like mad
I turned around to see Shock Wave charging in towards me.
'I guess he had a death wish.' I thought to myself
I then raised my Vortex Cannon up and pointed it towards him.
"You should of left when you had the change Shock Wave." I stated
I then pulled the trigger firing the Vortex Cannon at him. The big gold energy ball hits him straight in the chest as he then fell down to the ground and exploded.
"That was for my family." I muttered as the vortex Cannon disappeared
I could feel a few tears run down my face from under my helmet. I then turn back around and walk over towards Jen bringing out my Time Saber again and slice through the energy bindings to free her from them.
"You okay Jen?" I inquired putting a hand on her shoulder
"Yeah, I'm okay." Jen assured
"Good, let's find the others and get out of here." I told her
I then have the Time Saber disappear as I turned around and begin to walk away from here with Jen right behind me. Just then, we then see Wes, Trip, Katie, and Lucas run up towards us.
"Hey, you guys okay?" Wes questioned
"Yeah we're fine." I assured him
I then just continue to walk on ahead as I take a quick look behind me to see the others just standing still.
"Come on, let's head back to the Clock Tower." I told them
I then turned my head back forward as I just continue to walk on.
Normal POV
The others just look on as Paul suddenly demorphs as he just keeps on walking ahead. Wes then turned towards Jen.
"Jen, what happen here?" Wes wondered
"Paul manage to destroy Shock Wave, he was going to let him go but Shock Wave went to do a sneak attack on him but I was able to tell him about it in time for him to turn around and destroy him." Jen told them
"But that's a good thing isn't it?" Lucas inquired
"In a way yes, but I think it's making Paul rethink everything." Trip mentioned
"It is but for now let's not talk about it lets catch up to Paul before he suspects something." Jen stated
The others nod their heads in agreement and run forward to catch up with their young friend.
Meanwhile back inside Ransik's Prison Ship
Having saw everything unfold through the Computer, Ransik slames his hands down on the keys, as it ends up shutting off.
"I can't believe this, that new Ranger is stronger then I first thought." Ransik stated
Ransik's daughter Nadira who had bright pink hair, and wore a while armor like dress then walks into the room and walks over towards him.
"What are you going to do about it daddy?" Nadira wondered
"I am going to learn more about this Ranger and then destroy him along with the other Time Force Rangers." Ransik told her
Ransik then turned towards Frax who was standing nearby.
"And Frax." Ransik told him looking towards towards him
"Yes master?" Frax wondered
"I want you to find any information on that Shock Wave character I want to learn more about him." Ransik ordered
"As you wish master." Frax stated
Nadira just looked at her father confused by this order.
"But daddy, what good would that do if he is all ready destroyed?" Nadira wondered
"It might give us a clue we need to find out more on this new Ranger." Ransik explained
Meanwhile a bit later back inside the Clock Tower
Normal POV
After having returned to the Clock Tower a while ago, Paul had wanted to be by himself and had gone and sat on the window shill just staring out into the city from way up high as the others were on the other side of the room to give him some space as they all had been discussing what had happen earlier.
"You guys think Paul will be okay?" Katie wondered
"I really don't know, finding out that a monster his dad had fought against years ago was the one that caused that car crash killing his parents and older sister really got to him bad." Wes stated
"Yeah and not only that he feels like he is alone." Trip added
"What you getting at Trip?" Lucas questioned
Jen and the others look at him.
"I saw through his mind earlier back when we were at the river, he feels hurt and confused I also be willing to bet that he is thinking if he can ever live up to his father's legacy." Trip explained
"I'll go talk to him, I think I know how to get him to realize the truth." Jen stated
She then got up and heads over to where Paul is at.
Paul's POV
I am just sitting on the window shill looking out towards the city thinking about everything that has happened today.
'I just can't get past this feeling that I have right now.' I thought to myself
I then bring out a picture of me, my parents, and older sister and just look at it.
'Hopefully you guys can rest easy now.' I thought to myself
I look up away from the picture as I then just stare back out towards the city.
'I don't even know if I even have what it takes to be a Power Ranger like my dad was. Or even like Kimberly and Jason and their friends once were. How can I live up to their legacy?' I thought to myself
I then feel a hand being placed on my shoulder as I quickly look over to see that it's Jen.
"You okay?" Jen inquired
"Yeah, I'm just thinking about my family right now." I told her
"Can I take a look at the picture?" Jen wondered
"Yeah sure." I stated handing her the picture
She takes it and looks at it she then smiles about something and then she hands it back to me.
"You have a nice family." Jen told me as I took the picture back
"They were the best." I muttered just staring out towards the city
"Paul you did the right thing earlier I know it probably wasn't easy for you to do." Jen told me
I then look towards her again.
"Yeah I know, but I still ended up destroying him anyway." I mentioned
"True but you did it in self defense you showed him mercy and that's what separates us from evil." Jen told me
I then look out towards the city again.
"I don't even know if I have what it takes to be a Ranger like my dad was or even like Kimberly, Jason, or their friends once were." I muttered
"Paul look at me." Jen pleaded
I hesitate for a few moments before I turn to look at her giving me a smile which is somewhat rare on her part from what I hear.
"Paul, you shouldn't sell yourself short like that, everyone is different and your no different you have what it takes to be a good Ranger." Jen told me
"I don't know." I muttered
"Your parents and sister would be proud of you Paul I know that all of us are proud of you." Jen told me gently squeezing my hand
"Thanks Jen it means a lot to me." I thanked
Just then my Cell Phone started ringing and I looked at the caller ID to see that it's my cousin Kimberly
"Hey what's up cuz?" I asked into the phone
"Hey sweetie, how was your first day of school?" Kimberly asked through the phone
"It was fine." I said into the phone
"Did you make any new friends?" Kimberly asked through the phone
I figure she was going to ask that next.
"Yes in fact I made three new friends." I said into the phone
"That's great Paul I knew you would." Kimberly said through the phone
"And we have plans to go to the arcade to hang out this weekend if it's okay for me to go that is?" I asked into the phone already knowing the answer anyway
"Of course you can sweetie but I would like to get to meet them soon." Kimberly said through the phone
"Don't worry you will soon enough so when are you and Jason coming to get me?" I asked into the phone
"Well that's the reason why I am calling you, Jason ended up getting pulled into a last minute business trip and will be gone for a few days and I am still stuck in traffic between Angel Grove and Silver Hills I am going to be late in getting there so you will have to stay there just a little longer." Kimberly said through the phone
"I understand just be careful in getting here." I said into the phone
"I'm always am." Kimberly said through the phone
"Yeah and that's what scares me the most." I said into the phone a chuckle
"Funny cuz will I am going to let you go I will see you just as soon as I can." Kimberly said through the phone
"Okay." I said into the phone
"I love you sweetie." Kimberly said through the phone
"I love you too cuz bye." I said into the phone before hanging up
"Well looks like I will be staying here a bit longer." I told Jen
"And that's fine come on why don't we go and see what the others are up too." Jen mentioned
"Okay." I agreed
I then get off the window shill and we then walk over to the other side of the room to where the others are all at.
"You okay Paul?" Wes inquired
"Yeah I'll be fine Wes." I told him
"So was that your cousin that you were on the phone with just a minute ago?" Katie wondered
"Yeah she is stuck in traffic somewhere between here and Angel Grove and Jason just went on a business trip so I am going to be here for a while longer." I mentioned
"You plan on telling her what happened earlier?" Trip questioned
"No, if she somehow manages to find out about it then yeah I will but if not no need to tell her." I told her
"You do realize that she will find out she always does." Wes stated
"I know Wes but here is one thing that doesn't scare me about it is that she really has a hard time staying mad at me for longer than two minutes so I may get a ear full but other than that nothing to worry about." I told him
Just then my phone made a noise indicating that I got a text message I look at it to see who sent it to see that it was Jason. I then open it to read it.
"Hey bro, I think you owe your cousin an expiation about earlier just giving you a heads up." Jason texted
"Okay, I think I am in for a Kimberly lecture." I stated
"Why you say that Paul?" Jen wondered
Before I could say anything my phone starts ringing and I look at the caller ID to see that it was Kimberly.
'Crap that was fast.' I thought to myself
"Hey Cuz What's up?" I asked answering the phone
I then hold my phone away from my ear as Kimberly starts yelling through it.
"PAUL ALEXANDER GOLUPSKI YOU HAVE SOME EXPLAINING TO DO YOUNG MAN!" Kimberly yelled out through the phone

The image then switches to a man with short spiky black hair working at a dig site.
"Come on, we better get there we need to be the firsts one to get it before Ransik does." Jen told the others
The image then switches to showing the man being confronted by one of Ransik's Mutants and Cyclobots.
"What the?" The man wondered in shock getting up from his seat
"Out of my way human, unless you want to get hurt." The Mutant stated
The man then got into a fighting stance.
"Sorry, but I don't scare off that easily." The man stated
"Then prepare for a battle." The Mutant informed him
The image then switches to the man now revealed to be Tommy Oliver now Morphed as the Red Zeo Ranger.

AN: Well there's the third chapter for this story. Now I don't really have a reason as of yet as to why I have Kira, Conner, and Ethan in here as they never lived in Silver Hills or were friends until their senior year in high School when they became Rangers but I have decided to change that in this story. So now like the other stories don't expect to see an update for this story until sometime in May along with the others. So until then please R&R.
