When Tomoya steps inside of his work, he is greeted by co-workers. Once he was all ready, he headed for the first site he had to work at today. It wasn't too bad, he had to fix a street light, which he had done hundreds of times before with Yusuke. It had practically been ingrained into him at this point, as despite not having to do this for some time due to Ushio's fever, Tomoya had little to no trouble remembering what he had to do. After checking to make sure everything was done correctly, Tomoya heads for the next site.

All of her friends were overjoyed to see her again, and Ushio was currently being asked a ton of questions by her friends.

"So what happened to you?" Takuya asks curiously, to his fellow student.

"Uh, well… I got really sick." Ushio answers, embarrassed by all the attention she was getting today as she was still being bombarded by questions.

"Now, now, let's give her time to tell us all when she's ready." Kyou saves the nervous Ushio from any more questions, causing the girl to let out a sigh of relief.

"T-thank you Fujibayashi-sensei." the girl says gratefully, with a relieved smile on her face.

"Like I said, we've all been really worried about you Ushio-chan." Kyou says to her student. As the day went by, Kyou, and the other students helped Ushio catch up, since she had missed quite a few classes while she was sick. Eventually, the school day came to an end, and Ushio, waited with Kyou for Tomoya, who arrived shortly after the two stepped outside, the blue haired man, still in his work clothes. Once Ushio sees her dad, she runs towards him, happily greeting Tomoya.

"Welcome back Daddy!" Ushio greets her father, who she quickly notices seems to be in a lot of pain (despite his best efforts to hide it).

"Hey Shio, how was school today?" Tomoya asks wincing in pain every time he moves his body.

"Are… are you okay Tomoya?" a concerned Kyou asks, walking up to her friend

"I'll be fine, just really sore is all." Tomoya replies, "It has been quite some time since I last worked at my current job after all." he adds. Shortly afterwards, he and Ushio go back home.

"Daddy looks like he's in a lot of pain right now." Ushio thought, as she continued to notice just how much her father's body was hurting him. The girl really wished that there was something she could do to help her daddy be in less pain, but she had no idea how she would be able to do that for him. When they make it to their house, Tomoya lets Ushio know that he's going back to work and that he'll be back later. While Ushio waited for her father to return, she decided to draw some pictures. She was in the middle of coloring in a picture of one of the Big Dango Family, when the girl hears the door open. Smiling, she looks up from her picture and sees her father walk inside.

"I'm home!" an exhausted Tomoya announces, the man looked like his legs were going to give out on him at any second.

"Welcome home Daddy!" Ushio greets, running up to her father, who was currently holding onto the wall next to him in an attempt to keep himself from falling.

"Welcome back Tomoya-san!" Sanae greets the man from the kitchen. "You can go rest Tomoya-san, I was already making us something to eat anyway." Sanae gently tells her son-in-law, who replies with a tired 'okay'. Tomoya then goes to let himself sleep, with the man giving Ushio an apologetic look before leaving to get some sleep.

"Is Daddy going to be okay Sanae-san?" Ushio asks, the girl had never seen her father in so much pain before, as well as never seeing him that tired upon getting back home from work before.

"Don't worry, he just has to get used to his job again is all." Sanae tells her granddaughter as she continues to cook their food. Once they finish eating, Tomoya and Ushio go to sleep. Eventually Nagisa's birthday arrives, and both Tomoya, and Ushio (as well as the Furukawa family) visit Nagisa's grave, along with friends of Nagisa such as Kyou, Ryou, Kotomi, Fuko, and Kouko.

"I'm really glad all of you could come here today." Tomoya smiles at his friends.

"Well, of course we came here today! We were all friends with Nagisa too you know!" Kyou exclaims, with her sister, Ryou, standing next to her.

"I agree, Nagisa was our dear friend too." Ryou nods

"It really means a lot Kyou, Fujibayashi." Tomoya replies, turning to the rest of his friends as he continues speaking. "Same goes for all of you here today. I'm so glad you all were friends with both me and Nagisa, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart." he finishes, thanking everyone for coming to Nagisa's grave to pay respects today.

"I have to agree with Tomoya-san, I'm so happy that my daughter had such wonderful friends." Sanae says while next to a silent Akio. Normally the man would be cracking jokes and such, but now wasn't really the time for that, and he knew it, they were here to pay respect to his daughter. As he looks up from staring at the ground, he sees Tomoya approaching him.

"You gonna be okay?" the blue haired man asks both Akio and his wife.

"What about you?" Akio asks in response to his son-in-law.

"It hasn't gotten any easier to come here in the past five years." Tomoya admits, looking at the ground.

"It never really does unfortunately." Akio replies, with Tomoya slightly tightening his grip on Ushio's hand. Ushio, seeing how hard it was for the three adults to keep it together, was reminded of back when she first went on a trip with her father, back then, whenever she asked Tomoya if he could tell the girl about her mother, the man always refused, the question always seeming to bring back painful memories for the girl's father. In fact, it wasn't until the train ride back that Tomoya had finally told Ushio about Nagisa, even then, it wasn't exactly painless for the five year old girl's father to talk about.

"They loved Mommy so much. I wish we all didn't have to lose her. It must have been so hard for Daddy, Akki, and Sanae to go through." Ushio thought, saddened by how much it must be hurting her family to go through what they did when they lost Nagisa five years ago. A few minutes later, Tomoya and Ushio are in front of Nagisa's grave, praying in front of it. Once they were done, they placed flowers at the grave before telling Nagisa 'happy birthday'.

"Happy birthday Mommy." Ushio says, standing next to her father.

"Happy birthday Nagisa." Tomoya says, with both Sane and Akio, and the others saying it as well. Once they all paid their respects, both the Okazaki, and Furukawa families had left flowers behind at Nagisa's grave.
