Hi everyone! I apologize for taking so long with this! I had a pretty bad writing block for quite a while last year.
With no work or school today, both Ushio, and Tomoya decide to spend the day having fun together, and making up for lost time. While they were taking a break in the park, Ushio decides to ask her father about the play her mother had done in high school.
"Daddy?" Ushio speaks up, ready to ask her father the question.
"Yes sweetie?"
"Could you please tell me about Mommy's play?" the girl asks, suddenly becoming nervous. She wasn't sure if this would be too hard for her daddy to talk about.
"You want to know about Mommy's play huh?" a smiling Tomoya asks, with Ushio answering with a nod of her head. "Sure, I can tell you about Mommy's play." the man agrees, making Ushio smile.
"Thank you Daddy!"
"Mommy's play was called 'Fantasia Story', it was about a girl that lived in a illusory world, in this world, nothing was born, and nothing died." Tomoya tells his daughter, as he recalls the play that Nagisa had done back when they were both in high school.
"The girl was all alone? That's so sad." Ushio frowns, with a smiling Tomoya placing a hand on Ushio's head, like he had done for Nagisa when she was sad. "Daddy?" the girl asks, confused, but, admittedly, felt safer with Tomoya's hand on her head.
"Don't worry, it isn't all sad." Tomoya assures the young girl before continuing. "Eventually, the girl makes a companion, a doll made out of scrap. The two then become good friends, with both of them deciding to leave the illusory world together while they sing a song." Tomoya finishes, with the blue haired man noticing Ushio tilting her head in confusion, as the girl blinks a couple of times. "Something wrong sweetie?" he asks his daughter.
"Mommy's play, I feel like I heard it before or something." Ushio answers, catching Tomoya by surprise with her answer. With the man recalling how he had felt the same way as Ushio back when Nagisa had told him about what happens in the play
"Huh, now that's interesting, all three of us remember it in some way." Tomoya thought, intrigued at how all three members of his family had remembered Nagisa's play in some form. "You know, it's strange, but I get the feeling that the girl in the play would look a lot like an older version of you Shio." Tomoya grins.
"Like an older me?" Ushio repeats, for some reason, she felt like her father was right.
"Yeah, strange isn't it?" Tomoya asks, with both Okazaki walking back home shortly afterwards.
