Day 15: AU Seto. Seto and Mokuba, orphanage ages, are taken to a concentration camp. Inspired by the opening scene of X-Men.

Manhandling

All through the camp, Seto held tight to his brother's hand, and when Mokuba whimpered, Seto whispered that everything would be okay.

It wouldn't be. He could smell it in the air. He could see it in the numbers they'd tattooed on his arm.

Then came the gates. The gates where soldiers pulled families apart and some of them went through while others didn't—and Seto knew without being told. He knew.

So when a soldier grabbed Mokuba, when he pulled, Seto didn't let go. Mokuba cried. Seto snarled like a beast. One guard became three, and they twisted Seto's wrists, yanked on his shoulders and caught him around the chest. He clung as long as he could, even when they broke his fingers.

Until one of them struck him with a rifle. Until he fell limp and unconscious.

And he didn't see Mokuba dragged, crying, through the gate.
