Hey everyone! I'm so sorry for the long time without updating this. I was going through some stuff and couldn't concentrate fully. Anyway, I'm back now. I hope you enjoy this chapter. Please review.

Chapter 14: Agumon's Ally

"Mimi, what are you doing here?" Jyou asked as the girl approached him and Yamato.
"I'm returning to Japan. My father was transferred back and I came before to settle some things." She smiled. "What are you two going to do now?"
"We are the middle of a situation here. Jyou and I are heading to the Digital World so we can help Taichi. There's a new enemy and he captured Agumon. Now he's using him to defeat us."
"Oh my god! Are you serious?"
"Sadly, yes."
"I'm going with you."
"Didn't you just say you have to settle some things for when your parents arrive?"
"That can wait. You need as much help as you can get. Besides, I'll get to see Palmon."
"Yamato, we forgot to consider something important."
"What is it?"
"Our partners can't get past Ikkakumon and Garurumon. How are we supposed to help the others?"
"You have a point. Now I have to think."
"Why are you two here by the way?"
"Sora just left for England. Wimbledon starts in a few days."
"I assume she doesn't know what is happening, since there's no way she would board if she knew."
"Well…"
"You didn't tell her, Yamato?" The pink haired girl exclaimed. "You just threw any chance you had to be with her away."

"She will understand I did this for her own good."
"Do you even know Sora at all?"
"Guys, can you discuss this in the subway? We have no time to waste."
"Right."
"By the way, do you know about the new kids?"
"Yes, I do. There are three of them, right?"
"Indeed there are. They are cool kids."
"No, they aren't. They are boring."
"Don't say that about them, Yamato."
"What? It's true."
"Come on, we need to get going."

"You think Sora is really going to be mad at me for not telling her about Taichi and Agumon?" Yamato asked as he leaned against the train wall.
"Absolutely." Mimi replied without taking her eyes from her phone. "You know as well as I do she would dismiss the tournament if she could. On the other hand, you did a honorable thing. I would do the same."
"Are you interested in Sora now?"
"It's quite a long story." The blonde rubbed the back of his neck. "There have been some moments between us. We almost kissed."
"Almost kissed? It's more serious than I thought."
"I don't know what's happening. I've liked girls before, but it's different this time."
"Of course it's different." Mimi said. "This time it's someone you know."
"I don't get it."
"Men." She rolled her eyes. "You're afraid she doesn't feel the same and it gets weird because you're both Destined Children."
"It's not…"
"Don't even start." She closed her phone and looked at him. "You know fairly well that that's the reason. You're too afraid to make a move on her."
"She doesn't like me."
"Whatever you say."
"Do you know something I don't?"
"I don't know anything. You do whatever you want to."
"Fine."
"Just don't regret if she finds someone else because you're too coward to confess to her."
"Are you two really gonna argue over Sora? We have more important things to think now."
"Trust me, this is important. It's my friend's happiness."
"Whatever, Mimi."
"It's a shame what you're doing to yourself. You're throwing away your chance to be happy."
"I said whatever, Mimi."
"Ugh, fine." The girl folded her arms and leaned back in her seat.
"So what's the plan, Yamato?"
"We're heading straight to school. I told Koushiro to ask Takeru to go back and take us with him."
"It sucks that our digivices can't open the gate. We have to depend on Takeru or Hikari for that."
"Well, we can't have everything, right?"

In the meantime, we were trying to find the castle or whatever place the Kaiser built for him. Taichi and I were flying on Nefertimon, along with Takeru and Pegasumon, and Daisuke and Iori were searching on the ground.
"This is useless." Taichi said behind me.
"Don't say that. We need you to be strong, think positively. Where's your faith?"
"Fading by each second."
I sighed silently. This is bad. If he can't keep his faith, how will we accomplish our mission?
"You weren't like this three years ago." Takeru spoke, causing both of us to look at him. "You were always cheering us up or encouraging us to continue when all hope seemed to be gone. If you give up so easily, how are supposed to bring Agumon back? We need you to help us. You need to work with us."
"Takeru."
"He's right, you know?" I darted my eyes to somewhere in Pegasumon's front paw, but I could feel my brother's eyes on me. "You never let us give up when things got tough, so why should we do that to you? I know you would do anything to boost our faith if any of us were in your position. What kind of friend would refuse to help another one? What kind of sister would I be if I simply closed my eyes and told you there's no way we can win this thing?"
"Hikari, wow…" He took a moment to reply. "Thank you so much, both of you. I certainly have the best friends and sister in the world."
"I'm sorry for killing the moment, but I have to go back to Earth. Yamato and Jyou are waiting for me."
"Jyou is coming too?"
"It's surprising, huh?" He closed his D-terminal. "Anyway, I should go. We'll be back soon."
"Alright."

Mimi, Jyou and Yamato rushed upstairs as soon as they entered the school, to the computer room. Koushiro was using the computer the squad usually uses to open the gate and didn't even notice the girl was with them.
"Koushiro, I managed to find Gabumon and Gomamon. They should have joined the others by now."
"That's great, Tentomon. You should go too. We'll be there soon."
"Alright."
Mimi fake-coughed to get his attention. "Is that how you say hello to me?"
The red haired boy froze in his seat and then looked up at his friend. "Mimi? What are you doing here?"
"Somehow we bumped into each other when Sora left for England. Yamato and Jyou were about to leave when I called for them."
"Okay, but why are you here?"
"Oh, my father was transferred back to Japan. I came first to settle some things up for them. But that can wait; I'm going to the Digital World too."
"What?"
"I want to help Taichi. I have to."
"Well, that being said…" Koushiro pushed his chair back and stood up. "I'm going as well."
The computer expert didn't even have time to get away from the computer when the screen shined. One second later he was on the floor and Takeru was on top of him.
"I'm sorry, Koushiro." The blonde said as he stood up. "I'm still getting used to landing like this."
"It's okay, Takeru." He took the offered hand and then cleaned his suit. "We are all ready to go."
"Yeah, you told me Jyou is coming along… and Mimi?!"
"Hello!" She said excitedly.
"You didn't say anything about Mimi…"
"It's because I didn't know. She surprised everyone."
"Not everyone. Sora knew I was coming. We just happened to have the best timing ever."
"She knew? Why didn't she tell us?"
"She didn't?"
"No."
"She must have forgotten. The trip to London and the competition were stressing her out."
"When is her first match by the way?"
"It doesn't matter right now. We have something more important to do." Jyou said harshly, causing the others to look at him with weird faces. "I mean, Taichi needs our help."
"You know what? You're right. Let's go."
"Yes! I'm so excited!
"Digital Gate, open!"
The five kids lifted their digivices and were drained into the computer.

"Taichi! Hikari!" Takeru called our names as he was running towards us; Yamato, Koushiro, Jyou and Mimi right after him.
"That was fast. But how did you manage to bring Mimi along?"
"It's a long story, I'll explain to you later." The pink haired girl smiled. "But where is Palmon?"
"I only asked Tentomon to find Gabumon and Gomamon, since I had no idea you were coming. I'm sorry."
"It's okay. We can find her, right? She must not be that far from here."
"Sure. Can you find her, Tentomon?"
"Got it. I'll bring her back soon." The Digimon was about to fly but stopped suddenly. "There's something you need to know first, Koushiro."
"Not now, Tentomon." Mimi replied instead. "It can wait until you bring Palmon to me."
"Okay."
"Why did you do that? It could have been something important."
"I want to see my partner. That's important!"
"Some things never change."
"Jyouuuuu!"
"Hey, buddy." He knelt down to greet his partner. "How have you been?"
"I'm good. What about you?"
"I'm good too. Thanks."
"I thought you weren't going to come back so soon."
"Well, a friend is in need. It's the least I could do. I know we probably won't be much of a help, but I know I can help somehow, even if it's for support."
"Wow."
"What?"
"I never thought you'd say such thing. I'm impressed."
"Don't be silly." Jyou smiled. "Taichi is my friend. I know he would do the same for me."
The blue haired boy stood up and looked around, coming across with the surprised and confused looks on their friends' faces.
"What?"
"I've known you four years and don't think I'll ever get used to hearing you say such things." Yamato stated.
"You underestimate me sometimes. I can be a good friend."
"No one is questioning that. We just find it weird you put us above your study sessions."
"Like I said, you'd do the same for me."
"That's true."
"We need to go, people. We need to rescue Agumon."
"What's the plan?"
"What plan?"
"We need a plan, Taichi. We can't just enter the enemy's headquarter without something worked out."
"Koushiro is right. Sometimes you don't seem like a leader at all."
"I'm not a leader. Not anymore."
"Yamato, look."
"Huh?"
Everyone looked towards where Gabumon was pointing and saw the Kaiser on MetalGreymon's shoulder and something pink right next to him.
"Oh my God!"
"What?"
"That's Piyomon."
"You're kidding, right?"
"Do I look like I am?"
"What are we gonna do now? If the Kaiser evolves her into Garudamon we're screwed."
"We need to get Sora here."
"We can't, Taichi." Yamato replied. "She went to England. We can't simply ask her to come; she has an important tournament ahead."
"She would want to be here, Yamato."
"You don't know that."
"Are you serious? I'm her best friend! And it's her partner we're talking about."
"I think Taichi is right, Yamato."
"This is a huge opportunity for her."
"We know that. And I'm sure you know she will hate you forever if you didn't contact her for something that important."
"I know. I would as well if I was in her place."
"So there you go."
"Alright, so how do we do?"
"Someone has to go to England and tell her."
"I'll do it. I can't do much because of these stupid towers and Gabumon can't evolve. Ah, but Takeru would have to go with me to open the gate."
"So?"
"It's one less Digimon to defeat the enemy."
"You stay here, Yamato. I'll go with Takeru."
"But Mimi… I have to make things right with her."
"Are you sure?"
He nodded. "Yes."
"Alright then. Good luck."
"Thanks."
"These two are gonna end up married." She said as she watched him leaving with Takeru.
"What?"
"Nothing." She shook her head. "Let's start walking."

Sora was observing the planes through the airport window in London when her tennis coach came up behind her and placed her hand on her shoulder.
"Are you okay, Sora?"
"Yes, I'm fine. I'm just in awe for being in another country for the first time."
"Just wait until you see the city itself. You'll be amazed."
"You have been here before?"
"Yes, a couple of times. I had signed up a few tennis players for Wimbledon before, but none of them as skilled as you. You should really pursue it as a career."
"Thanks." She smiled. "I'm just going to the bathroom, then we can head to the hotel."
"Alright."
As she was going to the bathroom, she felt something beeping on her waist. She reached out and grabbed her digivice. Her expression quickly turned to fear when she saw the red lights on its screen.
"This is not good."
