Today's prompt goes:

Silver Howler - I would love something where Jerry is the one in need of comfort for once... maybe he's really depressed, or gets hurt by someone, and Mark and Wes do their best to comfort/cheer up 'Mama Warbler'

Also I'm sorry for the long wait. But I have been having writer's block.

Jerry whistled happily as he got ready for his date with his girlfriend Jenny. Mark and Wes were watching him. The two had something in common. They didn't like Jenny. They thought she was an evil, manipulative b-i-t-c-h. She always made Jerry buy her stuff and always got angry if Jerry couldn't see her for some reason. If Jerry needed her though she refused to be there for him. Wes was glaring at Jerry's back as he sat on Mark's bed. Mark was sitting beside him.

"Jerry", he said and their friend turned to them.

"Yes", he asked.

"Dude you promised Wes and I that you'd have a movie night with us tonight."

"Aw shit was that tonight?" Jerry asked.

"Yes", Wes spat. "And you knew that an hour ago!"

"Wes look Jenny needs me so-"

"You just push us aside yeah we get it, it's nothing new."

"Wes when you get a girlfriend you'll understand."

Wes just glared at him and Jerry sighed before waving goodbye to both boys and left.

Jerry didn't understand why Mark and Wes hated his girlfriend so much. She was an angel. She was funny, smart, cute, friendly and just overall awesome. Wes and Mark especially seemed to hate her. Jerry couldn't understand why. He couldn't understand why they couldn't be happy for him. He pulled up at Jenny's house and got out of the car… and then he understood why.

Mark and Wes looked up as Jerry walked into the room. His eyes were red and he had tears going down his cheeks. It was clear to them that he was sad and upset. He looked at them and said with a quivering voice:

"You were right. Jenny is a bitch."

Then he collapsed onto the bed and started to sob. Wes and Mark shared a look before they hurried up to his bed. Wes lied down beside Jerry and managed to squirm his way into Jerry's arms. Jerry hugged him tightly to him, almost like a teddy bear. Wes just hugged him back. Mark lied behind Jerry and pulled him and Wes into his strong protective arms. They stayed like that for a while.

"Do you want to tell us what happened", Mark asked Jerry gently and with a sniffle Jerry started to tell them.

"I drove to her house like she asked me too", he sniffled. "She said she needed to see me. But… when I got there she was making out with some other guy. She had sent the text to him and me both somehow… when she saw me she said it wasn't what it looked like. The guy asked who I was and I said I'm Jenny's boyfriend and he said that wasn't possible because he had been for six months…"

"But you've been dating her for a few weeks now", Wes said.

"Yes so she used me as a… as a… as a spare! Whenever her boyfriend couldn't make it she came to me! She used me like… like… like some fucking toy!"

"It's her fault not yours", Mark said calmly. "She's a bitch."

"Damn right", Jerry sniffled. "She's a bitch."

"A fucking bitch", Wes said.

"Wesley not that type of language", Mark scolded.

"Sorry Papa."

Jerry chuckled but then sniffled again.

"But", he said and they looked at him. "I still loved her."

"Well not to be mean but she clearly didn't love you", Wes said and snuggled closer. "but we do."

"Yeah right", Jerry sniffled. "What's there to love about me? I'm useless. I'm boring. I'm ugly. I'm horrible at romance and I stink."

"You do not stink", Mark said sternly.

"Except from after gym class", Wes piped up.

"Wesley."

"Sorry Papa."

"Uh hum."

"I mean sorry Mama."

Jerry looked at him and noticed Wes grinning. Jerry sniffled and pulled Wes tighter to him.

"You're lucky you're cute", he said.

"Why?" Wes asked.

"Because if you weren't I'd skin you for calling me Mama."

"But… you are the Mama of the Warblers. Everybody loves you."

"You shouldn't. I'm useless, heartless and worthless… I can't do anything."

"Yes you can", Mark said. "We know so. You just need some of your confidence back."

"What he needs is a song", Wes said and sat up.

"I don't need a song", Jerry grumbled.

"Yes you do now shush", Wes said before he sang:

No mountain's too high for you to climb
All you have to do is have some climbing faith, oh yeah
No river's too wide for you to make it across
All you have to do is believe it when you pray

Mark sat up and pulled Jerry up as well, singing:

And then you will see the morning will come
And every day will be bright as the sun
All of your fears cast them on me
I just want you to see

Both: I'll be your cloud up in the sky
I'll be your shoulder when you cry
I hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel

And when all hope is gone, I'm here
No matter how far you are, I'm near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your angel
I'm your angel

Mark: I saw your teardrops and I heard you cry
All you need is time
Seek me and you shall find
You have everything and you're still lonely
It don't have to be this way
Let me show you a better day

Wes: And then you will see the morning will come
And all of your days will be bright as the sun
So all of your fears just cast them on me
How can I make you see?

Both: I'll be your cloud up in the sky
I'll be your shoulder when you cry
I hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel

Mark: And when it's time to face the storm
Wes: I'll be right by your side
Mark: Grace will keep us safe and warm
Wes: And I know we will survive
And when it seems as if your end is drawing near
Mark: (The end is drawing near)
Wes: Don't you dare give up the fight
Mark: (Oh no)
Wes: Just put your trust beyond the skies

Both: I'll be your cloud up in the sky
I'll be your shoulder when you cry
I hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel

Jerry had sat up a while back and was now looking between his best friend and his unofficial little brother. He hugged Wes tightly to him and smiled.

"You two really are something you know that right", he asked.

"Of course we do", Mark said. "Someone needs to keep your ass grounded."

"Or just keep him sane", Wes said and snuggled close. "Feeling better Jerry?"

"Much", Jerry said and kissed the top of Wes' head. "Because I know, no matter what happens with my love life I will always have you and Mark… and the rest of my boys."

Mark hugged him tightly, as did Wes.

"If you try to get her back I won't", Wes piped up and Mark laughed. Jerry smiled. There was no chance he would go after that bitch again. He had something more important right now anyway. Love could wait. Right now he had his little brothers to look after.
