Author's note: For those of you Doom fans, this is the character that originates from this world, and it's NOT the Doom Slayer. The italics are a voice speaking over the scene.
The scene shows a fortress outside of the known space and time. Inside, a young man in a green praetor suit is shown in one of the rooms.
I have taught you everything I know.
The boy grabs a shotgun and loads it with a few shells before holstering it.
You are now ready to carve your own path.
He then grabs a few more weapons: a heavy assault cannon, a rocket launcher, a gauss cannon, a standard super shotgun, and a chainsaw.
"Inputting coordinates for the new world now." Said the voice of Vega, the program than ran most of the tech in the fortress.
I am proud of what you've become, and now we have found a world that needs someone like you.
A portal on the other side of the room activated. The young man turned to the portal, taking his helmet and putting it on.
You are the future of our kind, my son.
"Be careful," said a robotic voice inside the helmet; the voice of Samuel Hayden: "This world is far different than the ones you have been on, but the evil creatures that live here are still incredibly dangerous.
"Relax," the young man said: "I've got more than enough firepower to handle them."
"I've taken the liberty of modifying your weapons to be compatible with the fuel sources of this world, to help ease things along." Hayden said.
"Thanks, doc." Then the young man began to head for the portal.
"Good luck. And be advised, the only way we can get you in there is through the Sentinel tomb; you may have to muscle your way out a bit." Hayden said.
"Noted." The young man said, taking out his shotgun.
Remain strong. Be their shield, and destroy any evil that stands in your way.
The young man cocks the shotgun before running into the portal.
Author's note: His name is (currently, it will be revealed later) unknown. He is only known as the New Slayer (or simply Slayer), the son of the Doom Slayer himself. He wears the original praetor suit (Doom 2016), while the Doom Slayer has the armor he wears on Doom: Eternal. New Slayer will use some of the classic Doom weapons, but will also gain a few original ones. This concludes the introduction to the four members of Team JRHD. The story itself begins next, though the team will come together slowly over time, not immediately like with most teams.
